Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a damping mat according to the preamble of claim 1.
Jump mats that are suitable for catching athletes after jumps must generally insulate as gently as possible. As a rule, however, they cannot withstand extremely extreme, hard, oblique impacts, blows and other extreme loads. They mostly have covers made of known substances, such as tarpaulin substances, in order to protect the foam core. Long jump in sand is performed outdoors and the shot is hit on the lawn during shot put. In halls, where other mats were previously used, it was difficult to see where, for example, the ball hit or where a long jumper landed. In addition, most conventional mats could not endure such an extreme load, the foam cores were often damaged and torn. The extremely slow and viscous foam used in the invention was also unable to withstand this enormous strain.
Various designs and models of mats, such as gymnastics mats, jumping mats and gymnastics mats, made of various foams, in various thicknesses and designs, with and without covers, are known. These mats and even bare foams generally cannot withstand such extreme blows as occur, for example, when a ball hits a shot put etc., often break through or tear. Most of the time, these also spring so strongly that the ball rolls away again immediately and you can see no impression and you can no longer determine where the ball hit.
In addition to the usual PU, PE and other foams, So-called PU special foams in ester and ether formulations, which can be adjusted from the recipe so that they can have extreme properties.
Novel, so-called viscoelastic polyurethane foams are also known, which spring very slowly, so that they tolerate stronger, vertical impacts better, break through less quickly and move back so slowly that one can still see the imprints for a moment. This special foam also does not tolerate extreme loads and oblique impacts, such as those that occur when the ball strikes a shot put, when an athlete lands during a long jump, when a solid object, weight, ball or dumbbell hits, etc. The foam is mostly torn apart by the force and shear effect, especially a strong, oblique impact.
Coatings are also known which cover PU foam sheets like a skin. However, this skin, as it is applied in a known manner, is not as tear-resistant and is usually applied only relatively thinly. The anchoring in the foam was usually insufficient, so that the thin skin detached itself or cracked too quickly under such extreme stress.
The present invention is based on the object of providing a mat which can withstand extreme loads such as those which result from the impact of a ball or from the landing of an athlete during the long jump or the impact of other heavy, hard objects, without tearing and without to penetrate, and on which you can also see for a moment where the ball has hit or where a long jumper has landed.
According to the invention, this object is achieved by Damping mat according to claim 1.

- Fig. 2 eine erfindungsgemäss beidseitig beschichtete Kugelstossmatte

- 2 shows a shot put mat coated on both sides according to the invention
For the manufacture of a mat, according to the invention, a viscoelastic, extremely inertly foamed, ester-based polyurethane foam with a density of more than 60 kg / m3 is used in the petrochemical industry. According to DIN 53577, this has a crushing hardness of 6 kPa and can withstand a breaking load of approx. 200 kPa. Such a foam is commercially available. Since the other otherwise comparable DIN specifications (e.g. from the company Nauer, Switzerland) of the normal PU flexible foams are difficult to compare with this foam (it changes under the influence of temperature and becomes softer at higher temperatures and hard at lower temperatures) the specification of further DIN data is dispensed with. It is called viscoelastic foam because its behavior in relation to the action of mechanical forces is extremely dependent. Slow application of force provokes viscous behavior, shock-like application of elastic behavior. This shock-absorbing polyurethane foam offers the desired physical properties, especially in the temperature range of around 15 to 21 degrees Celsius, to withstand the enormous impacts that occur when a ball hits a shot put and intercept the ball so that you can still see the impression for a moment.
Although this viscoelastic special foam can withstand much more, it very often happens that it tears under extreme loads. In order to protect this foam and make it more durable, a protective layer made of a known, tough polyurethane coating composition, e.g. applied to Tivoli-Chemie in such a way that it first penetrates into the outermost layer of this foam and crosslinks with it. This strengthens the foam in its outermost main stress zone. At the same time, the coating skin is anchored in the foam much better. This measure covers the surface of the foam tough and tear-resistant, so that the mat can withstand such extreme loads and impacts, for example, when catching a ball during shot put or when punching with a fist or other loads. The coating also improves the mat's catching properties, the surface becomes more resistant and is also protected against dirt.
Kugelstossen, Weitsprung in Hallen usw. eignet. This combination of a very inert, viscoelastic PU special foam, with a deep and thick applied, elastic and very tough polyurethane coating, made it possible for the first time to provide a mat that can withstand such extreme loads without tearing and in which one can be used The moment you can see the point of impact, which makes it possible to measure the range of throws, throws and jumps. The invention created a mat for the first time, which is suitable for extreme loads such as Shot put, long jump in halls, etc. is suitable. This innovative mat can also be used for other areas of application where extreme impacts and bumps have to be absorbed.
Depending on the area of application, mats of any size, from at least 50 to over 100 millimeters in thickness up to over 10 meters in length and up to over 2 meters in width individually laid out or laid out to form an area of any size and possibly even connected as desired. For example, for shot put competitions, an area of 150 m2 is preferably laid out in a thickness of 70 millimeters, while for weightlifting mostly only two plates of 2 x 1 meter in a thickness of at least 100 millimeters are used.
