Definitions
- the present invention relates to an assembly comprising a reservoir containing a liquid and an applicator equipped with a flexible, elastically deformable dispensing nozzle enabling the product contained in the reservoir to be applied to a surface.
- This set can be used for all liquid makeup products such as blush, concealer products and, more particularly, for the application of "eyeliner” on the eyelids. It can also be used for the application of stain removal products to a fabric and, in general, for the application of any liquid product or reagent to a surface.
- the dispenser tip of the applicator is soaked in the reservoir, then the product contained in the reservoir is deposited on said surface using the flexible tip.
- conical feathers In make-up sets, it is known to use conical feathers.
- a makeup feather In French Patent No. 2,412,287, a makeup feather is described having the shape of a cone ending in a spout comprising two lips delimiting between them a small volume.
- the feathers According to the above patent and French patents No. 2 50 ⁇ 0 ⁇ 730 ⁇ and 2 50 ⁇ 5 150 ⁇ , the feathers have one or two transverse cavities which supply at least one capillary groove through which the makeup product is dispensed during application, the cavity acting as a reservoir for supplying the groove, and filling when the feather is immersed in the reservoir.
- a feather is proposed which makes it possible to obtain a more precise makeup and a longer makeup autonomy than the conical feathers used up to now.
- This pen also has other advantages which will be explained later.
- the present invention therefore relates to an assembly comprising a liquid reservoir and an applicator equipped with at least one flexible elastically deformable feather comprising a part having the shape of a truncated cone, characterized in that the part having the shape a truncated cone is extended, at its end with the smallest section, by a cylindrical part having this same smallest section.
- the cross section of the frustoconical part of the pen and that of the cylindrical part are circular.
- the flexibility of the feather is thus improved with respect to the conical feathers of the prior art: in fact, the feather no longer flexes in a conical part but essentially in a cylindrical part. Furthermore, the precision of the make-up is also improved when using a feather comprising a cylindrical part: in fact, when a pressure is applied to a conical feather to draw a line, the feather curves and the thickness of the part is contact with the surface, on which the line is drawn, grows; the thickness of the line therefore varies considerably depending on the pressure exerted on the pen. On the contrary, with the feather comprising a cylindrical part according to the present invention, it is the cylindrical part which folds, which makes it possible to preserve with more precision a line of uniform width.
- the length of the cylindrical part preferably represents at least 5% of the total length of the feather, that is to say of the total length of the conical part and of the cylindrical part and at most 20 ⁇ % of this total length. It is more particularly between 10 ⁇ and 15%.
- the pen is flocked, on its frustoconical part and its cylindrical end part.
- Flocking consists of fixing very short fibers to a surface, in particular by gluing.
- the flock used can be, for example, composed of cotton, rayon, nylon or polyester fibers.
- the length of the fibers making up the flock is preferably between 0 ⁇ , 0 ⁇ 1 and 1.5 mm.
- a different softness is obtained.
- Flocking gives the feather an external capillarity which increases the quantity of product retained.
- the capillarity imparted by the flock is only external, which has the advantage of avoiding product rises by internal capillarity, in the applicator, as is the case, for example, for a brush, a felt nib or the like.
- the nib according to the invention comprising a cylindrical end portion
- a drop effect is obtained.
- the end of the conical part when glue is projected on the pen, or when the pen is dipped in the glue this results, after depositing the flock, a great imprecision on the dimensions of the end which is used for make-up and therefore a great dispersion of the performance of the flocked feathers, unless considerable precautions are taken which severely burden the cost price.
- the pen according to the invention having a cylindrical end part, this drop effect only occurs at the junction of the cone and the cylinder. We can thus obtain without increase in the cost price, flocked feathers having a much more precise sizing at their end because there is no risk that a drop of glue of uncontrolled dimension, would solidify there.
- the feather comprises at least one transverse cavity in its frustoconical part and at least one capillary groove which extends only on said frustoconical part, from said cavity and in the direction of the tip of the pen.
- Each cavity is preferably a hole drilled diametrically in the frustoconical part of the feather and opens on either side.
- the capillary grooves are preferably arranged longitudinally along a director of the frustoconical part of the feather. They are preferably thinner towards the portion of smaller section of the truncated cone.
- the feathers are fitted with a device for fixing to the applicator.
- This fixing device is most often a tail, which is inserted into a corresponding device of the applicator; it could also be a housing, in which a corresponding device for the applicator.
- the tail is not flocked; the tail of the feather can thus seal even if the tip of the feather is flocked.
- the assembly represented in FIG. 1 comprises a reservoir 1 and an applicator 2 equipped with a feather 3.
- the pen 3 is shown in more detail in FIGS. 2 to 4.
- This pen 3 comprises a frustoconical part of revolution 31, which is extended, at its part of smaller diameter, by a cylindrical end part 32 of revolution also .
- This cylindrical part has a diameter of 0 ⁇ , 4 mm and a length of 1.7 mm for a feather 3 whose frustoconical part has a length of 9.3 mm.
- a cavity 35 is drilled diametrically and passes right through the frustoconical part 31: the axis of this hole is 0 ⁇ , 9 mm from the end widest of the frustoconical part 31 and the hole has a diameter of 0 ⁇ , 8 mm.
- a capillary groove 34 which extends from the cavity 35 towards the cylindrical part of the feather 32. This groove 34 tapers (in width and depth) from the cavity 35 in the direction of the cylindrical part 32; the cavity 35 opens at the bottom of the groove 34 in its deepest zone.
- the feather 3 comprises a tail consisting of a first cylindrical part 36 having the diameter of the end of the largest diameter of the frustoconical part 31, that is to say 2.2 mm and having a length of 7 mm, then a second cylindrical part 37 having a diameter of 3.3 mm over a length of 4 mm.
- the feather 3 is flocked only on the frustoconical 31 and cylindrical 32 parts, the tail (36,37) not being flocked.

Description
The present invention relates to an assembly comprising a reservoir containing a liquid and an applicator equipped with a flexible, elastically deformable dispensing nozzle enabling the product contained in the reservoir to be applied to a surface.
This set can be used for all liquid makeup products such as blush, concealer products and, more particularly, for the application of "eyeliner" on the eyelids. It can also be used for the application of stain removal products to a fabric and, in general, for the application of any liquid product or reagent to a surface. During use, the dispenser tip of the applicator is soaked in the reservoir, then the product contained in the reservoir is deposited on said surface using the flexible tip.
In the remainder of this patent application, reference will be made, for simplicity, to makeup products without, however, the assembly according to the present invention being limited to this application. In addition, the flexible dispenser nozzle will be referred to as a "feather" given the delicacy of the makeup lines which it makes it possible to obtain.
In make-up sets, it is known to use conical feathers. In French Patent No. 2,412,287, a makeup feather is described having the shape of a cone ending in a spout comprising two lips delimiting between them a small volume. According to the above patent and French patents No. 2 50̸0̸ 730̸ and 2 50̸5 150̸, the feathers have one or two transverse cavities which supply at least one capillary groove through which the makeup product is dispensed during application, the cavity acting as a reservoir for supplying the groove, and filling when the feather is immersed in the reservoir.
According to the present invention, a feather is proposed which makes it possible to obtain a more precise makeup and a longer makeup autonomy than the conical feathers used up to now. This pen also has other advantages which will be explained later.
The present invention therefore relates to an assembly comprising a liquid reservoir and an applicator equipped with at least one flexible elastically deformable feather comprising a part having the shape of a truncated cone, characterized in that the part having the shape a truncated cone is extended, at its end with the smallest section, by a cylindrical part having this same smallest section. Preferably, the cross section of the frustoconical part of the pen and that of the cylindrical part are circular.
The flexibility of the feather is thus improved with respect to the conical feathers of the prior art: in fact, the feather no longer flexes in a conical part but essentially in a cylindrical part.
Elle est plus particulièrement comprise entre 10̸ et 15 %.The length of the cylindrical part preferably represents at least 5% of the total length of the feather, that is to say of the total length of the conical part and of the cylindrical part and at most 20̸% of this total length. It is more particularly between 10̸ and 15%.
According to a preferred embodiment of the pen according to the present invention, the pen is flocked, on its frustoconical part and its cylindrical end part. Flocking consists of fixing very short fibers to a surface, in particular by gluing. The flock used can be, for example, composed of cotton, rayon, nylon or polyester fibers. The length of the fibers making up the flock is preferably between 0̸, 0̸1 and 1.5 mm. Depending on the length of the flock fibers used, a different softness is obtained. We also obtain different capillarities which allows the pen to be adapted to products of different viscosity by modifying the flock used. Flocking gives the feather an external capillarity which increases the quantity of product retained. The capillarity imparted by the flock is only external, which has the advantage of avoiding product rises by internal capillarity, in the applicator, as is the case, for example, for a brush, a felt nib or the like.
Another advantage of the nib according to the invention, comprising a cylindrical end portion, stems from the fact that it can more easily be flocked than the conical nibs of the prior art. Indeed, in the case of conical feathers, a drop effect is obtained. the end of the conical part when glue is projected on the pen, or when the pen is dipped in the glue: this results, after depositing the flock, a great imprecision on the dimensions of the end which is used for make-up and therefore a great dispersion of the performance of the flocked feathers, unless considerable precautions are taken which severely burden the cost price. On the contrary, for the pen according to the invention, having a cylindrical end part, this drop effect only occurs at the junction of the cone and the cylinder. We can thus obtain without increase in the cost price, flocked feathers having a much more precise sizing at their end because there is no risk that a drop of glue of uncontrolled dimension, would solidify there.
According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the feather comprises at least one transverse cavity in its frustoconical part and at least one capillary groove which extends only on said frustoconical part, from said cavity and in the direction of the tip of the pen.
Each cavity is preferably a hole drilled diametrically in the frustoconical part of the feather and opens on either side. The capillary grooves are preferably arranged longitudinally along a director of the frustoconical part of the feather. They are preferably thinner towards the portion of smaller section of the truncated cone.
The feathers are fitted with a device for fixing to the applicator. This fixing device is most often a tail, which is inserted into a corresponding device of the applicator; it could also be a housing, in which a corresponding device for the applicator. According to the present invention, it is preferred that the tail is not flocked; the tail of the feather can thus seal even if the tip of the feather is flocked.

The
The assembly comprising the pen according to the invention has, according to the embodiment shown, the general shape of a pen, the reservoir 1 constituting a first part of the pen and the applicator 2 a second part. The
The tank 1 is composed of two parts, a
According to the embodiment shown, balls 4 intended to agitate the liquid to be dispensed are placed in the tank which contains said liquid.
En fin d'utilisation, l'utilisateur visse l'applicateur 2 sur le réservoir 1.This device works in the following way: the user takes the assembly, separates the
