Definitions
- the invention relates to a partition for shower with at least two pivoting parts that can be moved or swiveled in relation to one another and in the form of a folding door, a first pivoting part having a vertical longitudinal edge being pivotably arranged on the fixed bearing, in particular a building wall, and on its the fixed one Storage or building wall facing away from the vertical longitudinal edge carries the pivot bearing for the second pivoting part pivotable when opened in the opposite direction to it.
- a comparable partition for shower is known from DE-PS 29 52 574 or DE-OS 33 1o 139.
- the two swivel parts consist of the lightest possible plastic plates so that they can be held with sufficient security by the hinges acting on their vertical longitudinal edges for the swivel mounting. This applies in particular to the second pivoting part which is remote from the building wall and which, in the closed position of the folding door, engages with its weight under a relatively large lever arm on the pivoting bearings of both pivoting parts.
- plastic sheets are considered Components of shower partitions undesirable for various reasons. They can become unsightly and more difficult to maintain, especially over time due to the action of hot water and side.
- Achon shower partitions are also known, the parts of which are formed by glass plates, which are being used more and more in practice because they have great advantages, particularly in maintenance and cleaning. Due to the great weight of glass plates, these known shower partitions are designed so that part of the shower partition is fixed and the other part is designed as a sliding door compared to the first part. This severely limits the entry opening into such a shower cubicle.
- the two swivel parts each consist of glass, that a rail is arranged above the swivel parts and that the second swivel part is suspended from the rail by means of at least one holding element, which holding element is displaceable relative to the rail and with its anchoring element acting on the swivel part is rotatable.
- the swivel parts can be made of glass that is easy to maintain and remains attractive for a long time, since its higher weight can be partially taken up appropriately by the rail and the holding element, so that the swivel hinges do not have to bear this entire higher weight.
- partition walls for showers there is therefore ease of use with respect to the openable part, which is comparable to that of sliding doors, but allows the desired larger entry opening.
- an embodiment of the invention of its own worthy of protection is possible, which can consist in that the horizontal cross section of the second pivoting part is longer than that of the first pivoting part.
- a handle or the like can be placed under the upper edge. be arranged for the actuation of the pivoting parts and thus the folding door from the side facing away from the central hinges between the two pivoting parts.
- the holding element can be set back approximately by the protrusion of the second swivel part with respect to the first swivel part with respect to its free edge.
- Embodiments of the partition according to the invention with respect to the holding element, the swivel parts, further wall parts supplementing the swivel parts, the actuating handles and the mounting of the rail are the subject matter of claims 6 to 18.
- the features and measures specified in these claims improve the usability and durability of the partition and its associated parts. This means that assembly and construction work remain limited, because the lower horizontal edges of the swivel parts can hang freely, as they are guided and held very precisely by their hinges and the rail.
- the design of the handle arrangement also makes it easier to operate, in particular when it is opened for the first time, in which a combined pivoting and sliding movement is required above all on the second pivoting part, but these are also transmitted directly to the first pivoting part via the hinges or joints have to.
- An additional permanently installed wall section be it in the level of the closed folding door, be it at an angle, be it both types of such fixed wall sections, can be used for at least partially building-independent installation of the rail, so that on-site tolerances and inaccuracies in the installation of the rail play only a subordinate role, but still the desired precise guidance of Swivel parts can be achieved.
- Directly anchoring the hinges or joints of the first pivoting part to a building wall reduces the effort compared to a solution in which an embosser or the like is first attached to the building wall in order to accommodate the hinges or joints.
- a rail with an inner cavity allows a direct transfer of the suspension forces from one chassis to the second swivel part with simultaneous protection for the chassis of the holding element located within the inner cavity of the rail.
- matching parts or parts corresponding to one another are provided with matching reference numerals.
- a partition designated as 1 for showers in each case has two pivoting parts 3 and 4 which can be moved in the form of a folding door relative to one another and with respect to a fixed bearing 2, a first pivoting part 3 having a vertical longitudinal edge 5 being pivotable on the fixed bearing 2, all shown Embodiments of a building wall, is arranged and carries on its vertical longitudinal edge 6 facing away from the fixed bearing 2 or the building wall, the pivot bearing 7 for the second pivot part 4 which can be moved in the opposite direction when it is opened.
- Corresponding pivot positions are shown in FIGS. 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16 and also 19, while above all the diagrammatic representations of the partition wall 1 show the pivot parts 3 and 4 in the closed position, in which they e.g. acc. 17 and 18 as well as the representation of FIG. 19 executed with solid lines - aligned with one another.
- the two pivot parts 3 and 4 each consist of glass, which is indicated by their thickness, for example in FIGS. 21, 23 and 24 and also in FIGS. 17 to 19.
- a rail 8 is arranged above the swivel parts 3, 4 and that the second swivel part 4 is suspended on this rail 8 by means of at least one holding element 9, which holding element 9 is displaceable relative to the rail 8 and is rotatable with its anchoring element 10 which engages on the swivel part 4.
- the pivot parts 3 and 4 are not only supported by the fixed bearing 2 and the pivot bearing 7, which due to the weight of swivel parts made of glass would lead to a considerable effort in these bearings. Rather, the occurring weight forces are advantageously conducted to a large extent in a rail 8 located above the swivel parts 3 and 4.
- the rail 8 for the holding element 9 is arranged vertically above the narrow sides of the swivel parts 3 and 4 in the closed position of the folding door. This prevents moments from occurring on the rail 8 and / or the holding element 9 or the upper edge 11 of the swivel part or parts due to the suspension forces.
- the holding element 9 hanging on the rail 8 is fastened at a distance from the free vertical edge 12 of the second swivel part 4 in the region of the upper narrow side 11.
- the resulting protrusion 13 on the second swivel part 4 improves the statics, because at least a part of the weight of at least the second swivel part 4 can thus already be absorbed on the hanging or holding element 1o, the holding element 1o being the weight of a swivel part area alone can wear, which corresponds to approximately twice the width of this overhang 13.
- FIG. 19 makes it clear that this arrangement is possible due to the protrusion 13, because a cavity is created between the protrusion 13 and the fixed bearing 2, which is mainly caused by the first pivot part 3. This cavity is now used in the manner described for the arrangement of a handle 14, which thus facilitates the operation of this partition, in particular when pivoting.
- the holding element 9 is set back by the projection 13 of the second swivel part 4 with respect to the first swivel part 3 with respect to its free edge 12.
- the projection 13 for accommodating the handle 14 in the exemplary embodiment corresponds exactly to the projection 13 already mentioned, by which the holding element 9 is set back from the edge 12.
- the holding element 9 has a vertical threaded bolt 15 as a connection between a slide or chassis 16 acting on the notes 8 to the anchoring element 10 on the glass pane of the second swivel part 4.
- This threaded bolt 15 is relative to the chassis 16 its vertical axis rotatable so that due to its thread pitch it causes a height adjustment of the anchoring element 1o.
- an adjustment of the area of the free edge 12 of the second swivel part 4 can be carried out via the holding element 9 and the anchoring element 10, for example to compensate for games in the swivel bearings 2 and 7.
- the bolt 15 engages the anchoring element 1o with an axial rotary bearing 17, in order to enable the pivoting of the pivoting part 4 when the holding element 9 is displaced.
- the mentioned adjustment possibility arises above all from the fact that the threaded bolt 15 engages on the chassis 16 of the sliding guide with its thread on a mating thread and - as already mentioned - can be rotated relative to the chassis 16 and also the anchoring element 10 for the height adjustment of the pivot bearing 17 .
- a special securing of the respectively adjusted height adjustment is generally not necessary due to the self-locking of the thread, however a lock nut could of course also be provided.
- the pivoting counter to the desired pivoting direction blocking stop 18 may be provided, which is fastened to the pivoting part 4 and protrudes over its upper free edge 11 so high that it extends to the height of the rail 8, which one before recognizes everything in Fig. 23.
- a corresponding stop could also be provided on the hinges 7 connecting the two pivot parts 3 and 4, which prevents excessive pivoting on these hinges 7.
- a handle 19 and near the free edge a second handle 2o extending into the folding area is provided.
- the handle 19 close to the free edge 12 is located directly opposite the handle 14 on the opposite upper side of this swivel part 4 and is located in the area of the projection 13 of this swivel part 4, so that the force application to the handle 19 is under the same lever arm as on the handle 14 takes place.
- a fixed wall section 21 or 22 is provided for the folding door to limit the shower room, if this is accommodated, for example, in a corner of the room or a niche, the width of which is greater than that of the partition wall 1.
- this fixed wall section 21 and / or 22 can serve to support the rail 8 for the holding element 9 of the folding door on its upper edge 23. This can be avoided as far as possible that the rail 8 is dependent on tolerances of the building walls on site.
- the rail is expediently also connected to this building wall only in the area of the fixed mounting 2 on a building wall.
- a fixed wall section is also provided in the area of the pivot bearing 2, in particular in a continuation and / or at an angle to the partition wall 1, the rail 8 could be installed completely independently of building walls and could only be carried by fixed wall sections.
- the fixed wall section 21, which is arranged in continuation to the partition 1 is located in the region of the free edge 12 of the second pivoting part 4.
- 11, 13 and 15 show that the end region of the rail 8, which is supported by one of the fixed wall parts 21 or 22, ends at a distance in front of the associated building wall.
- the other end of the rail 8 is anchored to the fixed bearing 2, in the exemplary embodiment of the corresponding building wall, where the fixed pivot hinges of the first pivot part 3 are also fastened.
- the guide rail 8 has an inner cavity 26 within which sliding elements or, in the exemplary embodiment, rollers 27 of the chassis 16 of the holding element 9 can be displaced.
- these rollers 27 and the chassis 16 are largely enclosed and protected against water spray, there is a pleasing appearance and yet the vertical forces for absorbing a part of the weight of the partition 1 can be transmitted directly and without moments to the rail 8.
- the additional wall sections 21 and 22 can consist of the same material as the pivot parts 3 and 4 of the partition wall 1.
- the overall result is a shower cubicle that can be very well maintained, has all the advantages of a glass design, in particular can be designed to a large extent without a frame, and yet allows easy and easy operation similar to a sliding door; nevertheless, there is advantageously a much larger entry and exit opening for a shower cubicle without the pivot Hinges on the bearings 2 and / or 7 are overloaded by the relatively large weight of the glass swivel parts 3 and 4 and by additional forces that may arise during operation.
- Both the hinges 2 and 7 as well as the anchoring element 1o, and also a possible stop 18, can advantageously be fastened to the glass plates by bolts penetrating the glass and / or U-shaped brackets spanning the glass edge.
- the actual hinge axes can then be brought in the desired manner by the hinge fittings onto the desired side of the swivel parts, expediently in each case the side in whose direction the swivel parts are moved when opening. So they can have a certain distance from the surfaces of the swivel parts.
Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a partition for shower with at least two pivoting parts that can be moved or swiveled in relation to one another and in the form of a folding door, a first pivoting part having a vertical longitudinal edge being pivotably arranged on the fixed bearing, in particular a building wall, and on its the fixed one Storage or building wall facing away from the vertical longitudinal edge carries the pivot bearing for the second pivoting part pivotable when opened in the opposite direction to it.
A comparable partition for shower is known from DE-PS 29 52 574 or DE-OS 33 1o 139. The two swivel parts consist of the lightest possible plastic plates so that they can be held with sufficient security by the hinges acting on their vertical longitudinal edges for the swivel mounting. This applies in particular to the second pivoting part which is remote from the building wall and which, in the closed position of the folding door, engages with its weight under a relatively large lever arm on the pivoting bearings of both pivoting parts. However, plastic sheets are considered Components of shower partitions undesirable for various reasons. They can become unsightly and more difficult to maintain, especially over time due to the action of hot water and side.
Achon shower partitions are also known, the parts of which are formed by glass plates, which are being used more and more in practice because they have great advantages, particularly in maintenance and cleaning. Due to the great weight of glass plates, these known shower partitions are designed so that part of the shower partition is fixed and the other part is designed as a sliding door compared to the first part. This severely limits the entry opening into such a shower cubicle.
It is therefore the task of creating a partition for shower of the type mentioned, in which there is a larger manhole than partition walls with sliding doors, but the panels forming the pivoting parts can nevertheless be well maintained and kept clean and retain their original appearance for a long time .
The solution to this apparently contradictory task is that the two swivel parts each consist of glass, that a rail is arranged above the swivel parts and that the second swivel part is suspended from the rail by means of at least one holding element, which holding element is displaceable relative to the rail and with its anchoring element acting on the swivel part is rotatable.
By maintaining two swivel parts, the desired large entry opening results in a shower cubicle formed with such a partition; nevertheless, the swivel parts can be made of glass that is easy to maintain and remains attractive for a long time, since its higher weight can be partially taken up appropriately by the rail and the holding element, so that the swivel hinges do not have to bear this entire higher weight. This results in the additional advantage that the guidance and mounting of the swivel parts, which may be loaded in addition to their weight when operated by the users, is more precise and permanent than a suspension only with the help of hinges on the longitudinal edges. In the case of such partition walls for showers, there is therefore ease of use with respect to the openable part, which is comparable to that of sliding doors, but allows the desired larger entry opening.
A particularly good introduction of the partial weight forces of the swivel parts results if the rail for the holding element is arranged vertically above the narrow sides of the swivel parts in the closed position of the folding door, because the weight forces can then be introduced directly vertically into the rail via the holding element.
It is particularly favorable for the statics of the partition if the holding element hanging on the rail is fastened at a distance from the free vertical edge of the second swivel part in the region of the upper narrow side. Due to the protrusion of the second pivoting part with its facing the free edge The area opposite the holding element thus compensates for part of the weight forces to be absorbed by the holding element, so that this measure provides an even greater relief for the swivel hinges or joints which absorb the other forces.
In addition, an embodiment of the invention of its own worthy of protection is possible, which can consist in that the horizontal cross section of the second pivoting part is longer than that of the first pivoting part. In the area of the lateral projection of the first swivel part relative to the second swivel part when the partition is folded, a handle or the like can be placed under the upper edge. be arranged for the actuation of the pivoting parts and thus the folding door from the side facing away from the central hinges between the two pivoting parts. In this case, the holding element can be set back approximately by the protrusion of the second swivel part with respect to the first swivel part with respect to its free edge. This combination of features remains with the favorable introduction of the weight forces with a good static distribution on the one hand on the holding element and on the other hand on the hinges or joints, while a very favorable place for a handle is created for the operation of the swivel parts, which is also completely folded arrangement is present because the two swivel parts and their swivel bearings in the folded state, for example, create so much distance from a building wall that the outer swivel part in the area of its projection then forms a cavity with the building wall or the like, in which the handle mentioned space finds, where na Of course, this handle does not project beyond the width of this cavity with respect to the swivel part.
Embodiments of the partition according to the invention with respect to the holding element, the swivel parts, further wall parts supplementing the swivel parts, the actuating handles and the mounting of the rail are the subject matter of
Incorrect operation can be prevented by the stop on one of the swivel parts opposite the rail, while on the other hand versatility can be increased if hinges can be swiveled on both sides.
The design of the handle arrangement also makes it easier to operate, in particular when it is opened for the first time, in which a combined pivoting and sliding movement is required above all on the second pivoting part, but these are also transmitted directly to the first pivoting part via the hinges or joints have to.
An additional permanently installed wall section, be it in the level of the closed folding door, be it at an angle, be it both types of such fixed wall sections, can be used for at least partially building-independent installation of the rail, so that on-site tolerances and inaccuracies in the installation of the rail play only a subordinate role, but still the desired precise guidance of Swivel parts can be achieved.
Directly anchoring the hinges or joints of the first pivoting part to a building wall reduces the effort compared to a solution in which an embosser or the like is first attached to the building wall in order to accommodate the hinges or joints.
A rail with an inner cavity allows a direct transfer of the suspension forces from one chassis to the second swivel part with simultaneous protection for the chassis of the holding element located within the inner cavity of the rail.
Overall, there is a partition for showers, which allows a much larger entry and exit openings compared to a solution with a sliding door, but still allows the use of low-maintenance glass for its individual parts, while at the same time improving the accuracy of the guidance of the swivel parts and the usability can.

In the various exemplary embodiments described below, matching parts or parts corresponding to one another are provided with matching reference numerals.
A partition designated as 1 for showers in each case has two pivoting
The two
In diagrammatic representations of the
According to FIGS. 21 and 24, the
In all exemplary embodiments, it is provided that the holding
In the plan views of the
In the exemplary embodiment, the holding
According to FIGS. 21 and 24, the holding
In order to avoid overloading the
On the other hand, cases are conceivable in which any confirmation of the pivoting parts in one and the other direction may be desired, i.e. both out of the shower cubicle and into the shower cubicle, so that, for example, the same in FIG 2 and Fig. 8 indicated operating direction is possible. This can be achieved in that hinges pivotable to both sides are provided both between the two
In the exemplary embodiments according to FIGS. 13 to 16 and FIG. 18, in continuation to the closed folding door, in FIGS. 5, 6, 11 and 12 at an angle to the closed folding door and in the exemplary embodiment according to FIGS. 15 and 16, both in continuation as also at an angle a fixed
As already mentioned, this is the case in these cases the other end of the
It should also be mentioned that the
