Bei einem bekannten Anschluß für ein Atemgerät ist die Verbindung zwischen dem Anschluß der Atemschutzmaske und einem lungengesteuerten Ventil durch eine Steckkupplung mit einer Schnellverriegelung hergestellt. Das Anschlußstück der Atemschutzmaske nimmt das Ende des Anschlußrohres auf, das dort über eine Dichtung mittels eines federnden Halterungsbügels gehalten wird. Der federnde Halterungsbügel rastet dabei in eine Nut des Anschlußrohres ein und sichert die Verbindung der Kupplungsteile. Nachteilig ist, daß nur Atemgeräte gepaart werden können, die mit den Teilen dieses Anschlusses versehen sind. Ein direkter Anschluß von Atemgeräten, die Steckanschlüsse besitzen, an die gewohnten Schraubanschlüsse ist nicht möglich.
