Eine auf der Achse 23 angebrachte Drehfeder 24 versucht die Klinke in der Ansicht von Fig. 1 im Uhrzeigersinn zu drehen. Auf diese Weise wird eine an der Klinke 22 angebrachte Klemmfläche 25 kraftschlüssig in Anlage an das durch den Transportschlitten 19 hindurchgeführte Trägerband 5 gehalten. Das Trägerband 5 wird dabei von einer am Transportschlitten 22 angebrachten Anlagefläche 26 gestützt. Die Klemmfläche 25 ist mit Schleifpapier, vorzugsweise mit Korund- Schleifpapier belegt. Die Klinke 22 gleitet dabei auf der Oberfläche des Trägerbandes. Die Klinke 28 hält das Trägerband 5 dabei fest, so daß es von der Transportvorrichtung 8 nicht mitgenommen werden kann. Beim anschließenden Loslassen des Bedienungshebels 10 bewegt sich dieser wieder in seine in Fig.1 dargestellte Ausgangslage zurück. Aufgrund der Einwirkung der Nase 18 auf den Druckwerkhebel 13 wird dieser wieder in seine angehobene Stellung zurückgeführt. Gleichzeitig verschiebt die nicht dargestellte Hebelverbindung die Transportvorrichtung 8 in der Ansicht von Fig. 1 nach rechts in ihre Ausgangslage zurück. Die von der Drehfeder 24 in Anlage an das Trägerband 5 gehaltene Klinke 22 drückt das Trägerband bei dieser Bewegung jedoch gegen die Anlagefläche 26, wobei die Klinke 22 selbsthemmend mit dem Trägerband 5 in Eingriff kommt, so daß das Trägerband 5 mit der Transportvorrichtung 8 mitbewegt wird. Selbsthemmend bedeutet hier, daß der Eingriff der Klinke 22 am Trägerband 5 umsostärker wird, je größer die von der Transportvorrichtung 8 auf das Trägerband 5 ausgeübte Zugkraft ist. Aufgrund der starken Umlenkung des Trägerbandes 5 an der Spendkante 7 löst sich das unmittelbar zuvor vom Druckwerk 14 bedruckte Selbstklebeetikett 6 vom Trägerband 5 ab und gelangt in die Spendstellung, also die Stellung, die in Fig. 1 das Etikett 6' einnimmt. Die Drehfeder 24 sorgt dafür, daß die Klinke 22 unmittelbar nach der Bewegungsumkehr der Transportvorrichtung 8 in die selbsthemmende Klemmstellung übergeht, damit das Trägerband genau um die Länge eines Etiketts weiterbewegt wird. Wie oben erwähnt wurde, ist die Klemmfläche mit Schleifpapier belegt, was einen sehr exakten Eingriff der Klemmfläche auf der Trägerbandoberfläche zur Folge hat. Aufgrund der Verwendung des Schleifpapiers an der Klemmfläche kommt ein vollständiger Eingriff zwischen der Klemmfläche und dem Trägerband sehr schnell zustande, da die Höhe der Schleifkörner über der Schleifpapiergrundfläche nur sehr gering ist. Die Klemmfläche kann sich daher nach der anfänglichen Berührung zwischen den Schleifkörnerspitzen und der Trägerbandoberfläche nur mehr sehr wenig gegen das Trägerband bewegen, so daß der erwähnte vollständige Eingriff, in dem das Trägerband in innigem Kontakt mit dem Schleifpapier steht, sehr schnell erreicht wird. Dies hat zur Folge, daß bei der Bewegung der Transportvorrichtung in der Transportrichtung, also bei der Bewegung aus der vorderen Endstellung in die hintere Endstellung, nur eine sehr geringe Relativbewegung zwischen der Transportvorrichtung und dem Trägerband stattfinden kann.
