Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a cladding element for facade surfaces, which is assembled on a substructure made of wood, metal or plastic to form a flat wall in the manner of a composite masonry.
Such cladding elements are used both in the renovation of old buildings and as a curtain wall to protect a thermal insulation layer in old and new buildings.
From DE-OS 22 42 198 a component for building cladding purposes with a visible surface in the manner of a composite masonry is known, which consists of a plate made of brick powder, quartz and polyester resin. It is bonded to the wall with cement mortar or another adhesive material and serves primarily decorative purposes.
In addition, asbestos cement slabs with differently designed visible surfaces, also in the manner of a composite or, better, veneer masonry, are known. These panels are nailed or screwed onto a slat-like substructure. They form a ventilated facade that can also serve as protection for a thermal insulation layer. Since the butt joints of the panels are not covered, the panels can be recognized as such. A driving rainproof installation cannot be achieved. In addition, the nail or screw heads of the fastening are visibly exposed to the weather and thus to corrosion.
It was therefore the task of developing a cladding element for facades, which can be assembled on a substructure made of wood, metal or plastic to form a flat wall in the manner of a composite masonry, the butt joints as well as the fastening points being covered, so that an absolutely driving rainproof Facade is created.
This object was achieved by the cladding element for facade surfaces according to the invention, which is to be fastened to a substructure made of wood, metal or plastic, characterized in that the plate-shaped component (4) consists of fiber-reinforced concrete or fiber-reinforced synthetic resin concrete with a front plate part designed as a visible surface ( 3) in the manner of a rough, rough limestone masonry or with inserted veneer panels made of natural stone, ceramic, stone or glass, optically divided by high-lying closed or low-lying partially open joints (1) and a smooth panel part (2) with attachment points (12) that is offset in parallel by panel thickness - 15 and 28).
The advantages achieved by the invention are essentially to be seen in the fact that, on the one hand, the fastening points are protected against moisture and thus against corrosion, and, on the other hand, the entire curtain wall is laid absolutely rain and dustproof. This significantly increases the service life of the substructure and also prevents the thermal insulation material from becoming damp and thus reducing its thermal insulation. In addition, the elements can be made relatively thin because of the high breaking strength of fiber-reinforced concrete or synthetic resin concrete, so that the facade has only a low weight despite its high strength.
