Description

The invention relates to a lubricating oil circuit for internal combustion engines with venting of the oil in the secondary circuit.

The lubricating oil of internal combustion engines is on its way through the individual lubrication points are increasingly mixed with air, increasing its lubricity is significantly affected. By arranging oil slingers in the oil circuit, whereby oil and air or oil foam are separated from one another by the effect of centrifugal force one has tried to please this deficiency. It is already known. the To arrange oil slinger so that they are both in a main circuit and in a the secondary circuit serving for improved ventilation of the lubricating oil is located. Of the Oil foam secreted in the oil slinger becomes a compensating or lubricant reservoir fed, where by settling there is already a substantial separation of the oil and air components from each other. The oil, which has already been relatively well vented, is then combined with the coming from the internal combustion engine. oil of the slingshot mixed with air fed in again and then from this for the most part again as fresh oil promoted in the internal combustion engine.

In an oil circuit of the type described, there is now the possibility that when the lubricant reservoir is deep, the oil fed into the centrifuge will run back into the container, so that no oil pressure for the lubricant pump can build up in the main circuit. This is especially true then. if, for structural reasons, the connection of the suction line of the lubricant feed pump is higher than the connection of the foam line leading to the lubricant reservoir. If, however, the lubricant feed pump does not deliver any oil when the internal combustion engine is running, this can have serious consequences for the internal combustion engine bearings.

It is the object of the invention. to eliminate this deficiency.

According to the invention, this is thereby achieved in a surprisingly simple manner achieved that in the secondary circuit between the centrifugal device and the lubricant reservoir a check valve of known type is arranged.

An exemplary embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing. The return from the individual lubrication points of the internal combustion engine i. Lubricating oil mixed with air or oil foam is transferred from the Sclimierstoffrücl <förrlerpunipe through the pressure line 3 into the oil slinger d. promoted. In this the oil foam collects near the axis, while the vented lubricating oil from the circumference of the oil slinger through the suction line; and the lubricant pressure line 7 is fed from the lubricant delivery pipe 6 to the internal combustion engine. The oil foam comes from the oil slinger .I through the line S into the lubricant reservoir q, which is provided with a vent 13. After settling, the oil , which is already well vented, is pumped from the container 9 through the line io by means of the additional pump ii into the pressure line 3 and thus passes through the oil slinger .I together with the return oil from the internal combustion engine i again. According to the invention is now in the line 8 between the oil slinger - ;. and the lubricant reservoir g, a check valve 12 is arranged. Dizses only has a low load, so that it does not offer any significant resistance to your foam and air mixture. On the other hand, there is now a guarantee that the lubricant feed pump 6 already delivers enough oil when the internal combustion engine is started, thus preventing the internal combustion engine from being endangered by insufficient lubrication.
