Durch Aufdruck von Reduktionsmitteln ist so die Möglichkeit gegeben, mit einem einzigen Farbstoff Mehrfarbeneffekte zu erzielen. Als Reduktionsmittel eignen sich beispielsweise Natriumhydrosulfit, Natriumformaldehydsulfoxylat und Natriumsulfoxylat mit oder ohne Zusatz von Anthrachinonpaste.
