Abstract

200-500 m/l blood can be pumped out, filtered and returned using a system of double ports with common vein connection plus dimensionally adjustable diaphragm as well as port diameter and volume and consistency of puncturing cannula and catheter. The system offers two separate blood input and return chambers to and from the vein and a modifiable septum diameter and material for repeated puncture, e.g. 500 times. The special cannula uses its mandril to pierce the self-sealing plastics diaphragm disc and connect beneath the skin to the blood vessel being tapped. The system necessarily includes blood filter unit prior to return to the vein, using the same system of cannulae, catheters and diaphragm etc.

Description

Bei TITAN-Port D handelt es sich um ein neues medizintechnisches Produkt. Es existieren bereits ähnliche Portsysteme zur Injektions- und Infusionsbehandlung von Medikamenten, Flüssigkeiten und Abnahme kleinerer Blutmengen. Diese sind jedoch nicht geeignet zur Gewinnung größerer Blutvolumen in kurzer Zeit z. B. für Blutwäsche. Zur Dialyse verwendet man üblichweise arteriovenöse Shunt-Anlagen (z. B. Cimino- Shunt, implantierbarer Cortex-Shunt u.ä.) sowie ein Kathetersystem, das jedoch wegen Infektionsgefahr nur kurzfristig eingeführt werden darf (3 Wochen). Zur Erreichung einer Langzeitverweildauer (2 Jahre) mit entsprechend häufigen Punktionsmöglichkeiten (ca. 500 mal) sowie Minderung der Infektionsgefahr wurde dieser TITAN-PORT D entwickelt. Dieses Problem wurde durch die im Patentanspruch 1 aufgeführten Merkmale gelöst.TITAN-Port D is a new medical device product. Claims (1)
