Abstract

A device for a motor vehicle is proposed which has an arrangement of one or more sensors for receiving or transmitting optical and/or electromagnetic radiation in a common roof module. The roof module is arranged in the region of a window pane of the motor vehicle at a point which causes as little disturbance as possible. The sensors are aligned in such a way that radiation acting on them from outside through the window of the motor vehicle can be intercepted or they can transmit their radiation outwards. A preferred situation for the sensors is the region of the windscreen, which is cleaned by the windscreen wipers. <IMAGE>

Description

Stand der TechnikState of the art

The invention relates to a device in a motor vehicle with at least one sensor according to the preamble of the main claim.

It is already known to use sensors in a motor vehicle the different, related to the vehicle movement Capture functions. For example, with a light sensor Ambient lighting determined and with its signal the Be lighting devices of the vehicle are switched. Is too already known a rain sensor that when detecting a wet wind protective screen automatically switches the wiper on or off. It is also known to use a transceiver in the infra red or microwave range Data between a vehicle device and fixed transmission devices in bidirectional traffic carry. However, these sensors are very different Places arranged in the vehicle, so that on the one hand their wiring is relatively complex and on the other hand, for example in the field clear view of the windshield can be obstructed. These sensors can also interfere with the cleaning of the pane.

Vorteile der ErfindungAdvantages of the invention

The device according to the invention with the characteristic features the main claim has the advantage that the used Sensors are arranged in a common roof module, which in an area of a pane of the motor vehicle on one as possible is not placed in the disturbing place. Through the common arrangement the sensors result in simpler wiring, for example led to the sensors via a control or data bus can be. Another advantage is that the roof module ge can be designed that the individual sensors are hardly noticeable. Be It is particularly advantageous that the sensors are so cheap in the roof can be arranged in such a way that they can pass through the disc of the Motor vehicle incident radiation, such as light or a can absorb electromagnetic radiation unhindered. Also they can freely emit their own radiation through the pane radiate without unwanted magnetic interference Sheet metal parts of the motor vehicle is given.

By the measures listed in the dependent claims advantageous developments of the specified in the main claim direction possible. It is particularly advantageous that the roof module the windshield of the motor vehicle arranged in one area that can be cleaned by the wipers. Thereby can, for example, a light sensor regardless of the pollution degree of the remaining panes the current light value of the incident Capture light exactly.

A preferred arrangement of the roof module is the space between the Interior mirror and the front window of the vehicle. This room will not required for normal viewing while driving. Often One is created in this room when the sun is low strong glare caused by covering the windscreen with the Roof module is advantageously prevented.

The roof module is particularly well suited for all sensors that are used for Detection of radiation incident on the vehicle is required be or with the ones located outside the vehicle exchange data and information.

Another advantage is that the signals of a Sensors can be used for several vehicle devices, so that not each individual vehicle device requires a separate sensor.

The additional arrangement of displays and / or controls elements in the roof module results in a compact structural one unit that is already prefabricated during the manufacture of the vehicle can be, so that the installation can then be done very quickly and easily can.

Beschreibung des AusführungsbeispielsDescription of the embodiment

In Fig. 1, part of a roof of a motor vehicle 1 is Darge, on the inside of the motor vehicle in the roof area, a roof module 2 is arranged schematically. The roof module 2 is fastened to the roof at a suitable point, for example, and has a housing leg which covers the upper part of a windshield 9 . The roof module is designed such that it is preferably arranged behind an inside mirror 12 in the space between the windshield, the roof and the inside mirror 12 . The roof module 2 contains any number of sensors. For example, a sensor 3 is provided to detect the visibility. Such a sensor is known per se. Furthermore, the roof module 2 contains a sensor 4 for detecting the illuminance or luminance of the incident light or for controlling a central locking system which can be controlled by means of an infrared hand-held sensor. Furthermore, a crash camera 5 is provided, which records the traffic flow in the direction of travel. A microwave antenna 6 is provided for transmitting information from the vehicle, for example to a traffic control device or billing device, which is located outside the vehicle on the roadside. Furthermore, a rain sensor 7 is provided, which is arranged on the windshield 9 and detects the changes in reflection of a light beam caused by the rain. In this area, a compass sensor 8 is also provided which, as a magnetic field compass, supplies direction signals to a navigation device. The sensors 3 to 8 are arranged so that their view to the outside in the direction of travel is as unobstructed as possible. A preferred solution is if the sensors are arranged in the field of the windshield 9 , which is kept clean by the wiper.
