Abstract

A surgical instrument for applying U-shaped or V-shaped clips has a magazine in which the clips are arranged one behind another in at least one row. The instrument has a mechanism (6, 7) which enables the clip, nearest to the distal end of the instrument, to be pushed out through an opening in the distal end. A reloading magazine (2) can be fitted to the distal end of the instrument. The clips held in the reloading magazine are then easily transferred to the magazine fixed to the instrument. USE/ADVANTAGE - Applying clips to a surgical incision. The reloading magazine holds the clips in a sterile environment until they are required for use.

The invention relates to a surgical In instrument for attaching V- or U-shaped clips, with a magazine in which the brackets in at least a row are arranged one behind the other, a front thrust element, each of which the distal end of the Instruments next bracket from an opening at the dista len end, and a push mechanism for Feeding the feed element, which is by an am actuated proximal end arranged is applicable.

Such instruments are used for the most diverse surgical sutures needed.

With the current In instruments is not a reload of the magazine or only possible to a limited extent. Most of the present available instruments are namely so-called disposable Instruments executed after the consumption of the in Clamps located in the magazine must be thrown away sen.

In the patent literature there are various references to loadable instruments have been described, these instru elements have, however, for various reasons cannot enforce:

For example, in the case of the known from DE 29 10 454 A1 strument the magazine can be replaced completely. Interchangeable magazines a. but to problems when sterilizing the instruments.

Weitere Nahtgeräte sind aus den europäischen Offen legungsschriften EP 02 69 226 A1 und EP 03 23 016 A1 sowie den deutschen Patentveröffentlichungen 29 49 389 A1, 30 02 847 A1, 31 09 657 A1, 35 90 364 C2 und 36 15 405 A1 bekannt.More seam devices are from the European Open documents EP 02 69 226 A1 and EP 03 23 016 A1 and the German patent publications 29 49 389 A1, 30 02 847 A1, 31 09 657 A1, 35 90 364 C2 and 36 15 405 A1 known.

Also in the be in these patent publications written instruments is a reloading process which is not possible or only possible to a limited extent.

The invention has for its object a surgeon cal instrument for attaching V-shaped or U-shaped  To further develop brackets in such a way that the reloading process can be carried out easily and without loss of sterility.

An inventive solution to this problem is with know their further training in the claims draws.

According to the invention is at the distal end of the instrument a reloading magazine can be attached, from the brackets in the magazine of the instrument can be transferred. Hereby it is possible to use sterile clamps without touching them non-sterile parts or by possibly unste riles operators in the surgical instrument to convict.

But above all, it is possible to use V- or U-shaped stuff mern that "lying flat" in the instrument and not "standing" are arranged one behind the other to reload.

The use of a reloading magazine on the distal End of the instrument is applicable, but above all the advantage that the cross section of the instrument despite its reloadability remains small, so that invented instrument according to the invention at any time in an endoscope shaft with a small free lumen can be set.

The invention is described below with reference to the Drawing described in more detail, in which an execution game is shown, and in which show:

Fig. 1 ein erfindungsgemäß ausgestaltetes chirurgi sches Instrument im Längsschnitt sowie in ver schiedenen weiteren Schnitten, und Fig. 1 shows an inventively designed chirurgi cal instrument in longitudinal section and in various other cuts, and

Fig. 2 is a reloading magazine in the filled and empty state in cross section and in supervision.

Fig. 1 shows a surgical instrument for attaching V- or U-shaped brackets in longitudinal section and in various other cuts, with respect to their position and cutting direction, reference is made to the drawing.

The instrument has a magazine 1 , in which the sterile U or V-shaped brackets "lying" in at least one row are arranged one behind the other. A feed element 2 , which is shown in particular in the sectional view arranged under the main part of FIG. 1, pushes the clamp 4 closest to the distal end 3 of the instrument from an opening 5 at the distal end 3 . For this purpose, the feed element preferably has a front contour or engagement surface adapted to the clamp to be pushed out in each case.

A thrust mechanism 6 for advancing the feed element 2 can be actuated by an actuating element 8 arranged at the proximal end 7 . For this purpose, an unspecified handle, a catch, etc. are provided, with which a tensioned spring 9 is released so far that just a clip is pushed out of the distal end.

Regarding further details, is expressly on referred to the drawing.

At the distal end 3 of the instrument, a reloading magazine shown in FIG. 2 can be attached, from which clips can be transferred into the magazine 1 of the instrument.

The brackets are roughly approx Advanced in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the instrument, that is, in a direction that is the same as the direction of the discharge is opposite a bracket.

The reloading magazine has a part 10 into which the distal end of the instrument can be inserted. This ensures that the sterility of the clips remains guaranteed. By means of a slide 11 , which can be operated manually via an actuating element 12 , the clips 13 can be pushed into the magazine 1 of the instrument without the clips being touched by the operator. The clips from the reloading magazine are transferred together in a row into magazine 1 of the instrument.

By reloading the magazine 1 of the instrument, the spring 9 , which is part of the feed mechanism 2 , is simultaneously tensioned. This ensures that the surgeon always finds an operational instrument after the loading process has been completed. On the other hand, the automatic tensioning process during reloading ensures that the spring 9 is not tensioned too much.

For further details, refer to the figures referenced, the express part of the fiction according to revelation.
