Flüssigkristall-Anzeigevorrichtung mit einer Flüssig­ kristallzelle des nematischen Drehtyps, dessen Verdrill­ winkel nicht mehr als 90 Winkelgrade beträgt, die zwi­ schen einem ersten und einem zweiten Linearpolfilter angeordnet ist und die zumindest transmissiv betreibbar ist, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß in dem Strahlengang zwischen dem ersten Polfilter (3) und der Flüssigkri­ stallzelle (5) schicht- oder plattenförmig ein auf das hindurchgehende Licht doppelbrechend wirkendes Material (4) angeordnet ist.1.
