Ventilator mit Dampfturbine zur künstlichen Zugerzeugung. Gegenstand
Fan with steam turbine for artificial draft generation. object
the invention is a fan with a steam turbine for extracting the boiler fire gases,
which is used in locomotives and locomobiles and through the cylinder exhaust
is set in motion for the purpose of achieving a higher suction efficiency in -der
Firing as opposed to the simple exhaustor effect of the exhaust steam through generation
an evenly regulated and thus increased artificial train.
Compared to other already known devices .dieser kind in which
the suction system is separated, i.e. turbine and fan
for themselves,
is arranged in the smoke chamber, the novelty consists in the interlocking of the "turbine"
and the fan.
Das Ausströmkreuzrohr a (Abb. i) vereinigt die beiden ZylinderaLdampfrohre, führt
On the drawing, fig. I represents the chimney or chimney. The cross-section of the smoke chamber of a locomotive with a built-in fan, Fig. 2 shows the floor plan on the same. The outflow cross tube a (Fig. I) unites the two cylinder steam pipes and leads through the partition b (Figs. I and 2) AL steam separately. The septum leads up to the base of this cone, which stands on the apex. The steam, distributed around the cone c, enters the blades (Fig. 1 and 2 of the turbine stator. The wheel spider of the same lies with its entire surface on the base of the cone and is screwed onto it by means of the nozzle e. The wheel spider stands out the two bandages g held together by the threaded bolt f, between which the blades are inserted in the usual T-shape. The connecting piece e ends in a ball h on which the ball bearing i. of the hollow shaft k runs, which runs through its Flange l is also designed for the lower bandage of the turbine impeller. Between the flange and the bandage ni screwed onto the shaft, the impeller blades st of the tur-line are embedded. The housing of the turbine is a bell-shaped drum o, which stripes over the shaft and the turbine impeller , rotates with the same around the ball k. The drum extends so far down that it also partially encases the stand p and is embedded in its shoulder q t in order to prevent contamination between the stand and the running drum from solid constituents of the fire gases. Two ribs r serve to reinforce the drum. The fan wheel L is attached to these ribs. In the exemplary embodiment, the fan is designed as an ordinary screw fan, which is particularly suitable for this because of its simplicity. The blades are screwed directly onto the ribs and, tapering outwards, leave a sufficient area of the chimney cross-section free (Fig . 2), in order to allow the flue gases the necessary resistance-free passage when the locomotive is heated up. The whole rotating part of the turbo fan only needs the one ball bearing i, because the suspension point is above the center of gravity, i.e. steel is present. The nozzle e, however, has The stop t is used to guide the shaft, which allows the shaft little leeway to adjust to the center of gravity. Lifting of the housing by the vertical pressure component of the rotor blades is prevented by a spherically hollowed shell ir, screwed onto the ball h. The exhaust steam passes through sector-shaped incisions v (section-. 2) on the surface of the T The drum comes out of the turbine and leaves the protective hood w placed above it in an oblique lateral direction upwards into the chimney that is widening here, in order to produce a suction effect there. The hood protects the Tur-1-.ine from water hammer and other foreign components that could interfere with the running of the turbine. The ball bearing is oiled through the nozzle e, the cone c and through the pipe -, v by means of pressure oil from the lubricating gun of the locomotive. The blower pipe y is introduced into the outlet cross tube between the two flange attachments for the steam pipes, divides into the two halves of the cross pipe and supplies the turbine with live steam when the locomotive is at a standstill apart from the fact that the locomotive is only supposed to run with an artificial train, the outflow cross tube with the partition is no longer necessary and the turbine only has a live steam connection. This is to be regarded as given with the TurLinen locomotive, since the exhaust steam is condensed there. In this case, the fan turbine must receive an intermediate steam connection from the locomotive turbine.
