Die Neuerung betrifft Spielzeugdoktorgerätezusammenstellungen,wie sie in zahlreichen Variationen und Verpackungsarten, z. B. Blisterverpackung, Schachteln, Köfferchen auf dem Markt vorkommen. Sie sollen dazu dienen, Kindern das Rollenspiel als Arzt bzw. Krankenschwester zu ermöglichen, den Spieltrieb der Kinder zu befriedigen und diesen zu lenken. Auch die Thermometer sind meist starr aus einem Stück, in das günstigstenfalls noch eine Skala aufgeklebt oder eingraviert ist; lediglich bei einem bekannten Modell kann durch das Drehen eines Knopfes am oberen Ende des Geräts die Skaleneinstellung verändert werden. Auch die Spielzeugdoktorreflexhämmer sind bisher nur aus einem Stück ohne weitere Funktion.
