Durch Zugabe von 10 %iger Natronlauge stellt man pH 5 - 6 ein. Nach beendeter Kupplung saugt man ab, wäscht mit Wasser salzfrei und erhält nach dem Trocknen 97 Teile des Farbstoffes der Formel

12 Teile des Kupplungsproduktes von p-Chloranilin auf o-Toluidin werden mit 60 Teilen konzentrierter Salzsäure angerieben. Nach 2stündigem Stehen setzt man 500 Teile eines Wasser/Eis-Gemisches zu und tropft 20 Tl. einer 23 %igen Natriumnitritlösung ein. Man rührt 3 Stunden bei 10 - 20°C, filtriert und lässt die Lösung von 8,2 Teilen 2,6-Dihydroxy-3-acetyl-4-methylpyridin in einer Mischung aus 150 Teilen Wasser und 25 Teilen 10 %iger Natronlauge unter Kühlung einlaufen. Durch Zugabe von 10 %iger Natronlauge stellt man pH 5,6 ein. Nach dem Auskuppeln saugt man ab, wäscht mit Wasser salzfrei und trocknet. Man erhält 18 Teile des Farbstoffes der Formel

Dann fällt man auf 500 Teile Eis, zerstört den Überschuß an Nitrit mit wenig Amidosulfonsäure und lässt eine Lösung von 10 Teilen 1-Äthyl-3-acetyl-4-methyl-6-hydroxy-pyrid-2-on in 250 Teilen 10 %iger Natronlauge unter Kühlung einlaufen. Durch Zugabe von 10 %iger Natronlauge stellt man pH 3 - 4 ein. Die Kupplung ist sehr schnell beendet. Man saugt ab, wäscht mit Wasser salzfrei, trocknet und erhält 28 Teile des Farbstoffs der Formel

Man rührt 3 Stunden bei 0 - 5°C nach. Zu der so hergestellten Diazolösung gibt man unter Kühlung die Lösung von 10 Teilen 1-Äthyl-3-acetyl-4-methyl-6-hydroxy-pyrid-2-on in 200 Teilen Eisessig. Nach 1stündigem Rühren bei Raumtemperatur ist die Kupplung beendet. Man fällt auf 500 Teile Wasser, saugt ab, wäscht neutral und trocknet. Man erhält 6 Teile des Farbstoffes der Formel

Die Kupplung erfolgt bei pH 1. Man saugt ab, wäscht salzfrei und trocknet. Man erhält 17 Teile des Farbstoffes der Formel

Man rührt 4 Stunden bei Raumtemperatur nach, setzt der Diazolösung 200 Teile Eisessig zu und gießt sie unter Eiskühlung in eine Lösung von 9,8 Teilen 1-Äthyl-3-acetyl-4-methyl-6-hydroxy-2-pyridon in 1000 Teilen Wasser und 25 Teilen 50 %iger Natronlauge. Durch Zugabe von verdünnter Natronlauge stellt man pH 4 - 5 ein, rührt 3 Stunden bei Raumtemperatur nach und saugt ab. Nach dem Trocknen erhält man 20 Teile des Farbstoffs der Formel
