Abstract

The two axially movable coupling segments (1, 2) are joined with a radial arranged shear pin (3), guided by the bearing bush (4) and kept in position by a securing ring (5). The engaging or releasing of the coupling is performed with the bearing. When a set torque limit is exceeded the shear pin (3) breaks at the predetermined breaking point, causing the coupling parts (1, 2) to move separately resulting in an interruption of the connection between drive shaft (7) and output shaft (6).
