Vorzugsweise ist dieser Unterbau als Blechgehäuse ausgebildet und mit dem Waschmaschinengehäuse verschraubt. Der Unterbau 6 ist zweckmäßig mit vier höhenverstellbaren Stell- bzw. Standfü­ ßen ausgerüstet. Bei einer in solcher Weise ausgestatteten Waschmaschine werden die Vorgänge des Be- und Entladens der Wä­ schetrommel, die Wartung der im Gehäusesockel untergebrachten Entleerungspumpe und die Bedienung der Wäschebehandlungsmaschi­ ne hinsichtlich der Ergonomie wesentlich verbessert. Die Bedie­ nungsperson muß sich wesentlich weniger bücken, was gerade auch für ältere Menschen und leicht behinderte Personen von Vorteil ist. Die Bedienblende ist durch die vergrößerte Arbeitshöhe der Maschine der Augenhöhe einer davor stehenden Person wesentlich näher, so daß die in der Bedienblende zur Anzeige gebrachten Einstell- und Betriebsablaufdaten auch wesentlich deutlicher abgelesen werden können. In Weiterbildung der Erfindung ist es vorteilhaft, im kastenar­ tigen Unterbau 6 eine herausziehbare Arbeitsplatte 7 vorzuse­ hen, die dann als Abstellmöglichkeit für einen Wäschekorb oder dergleichen dienen kann. Zweckmäßig ist es dabei, diese Ar­ beitsplatte gleichzeitig als Wäschewiegeeinrichtung auszubil­ den. Beim Entnehmen der Wäschestücke und Einlegen in die Wä­ schetrommel wird der Wäschekorb leichter. Die Gewichtsabnahme beim Wäschekorb entspricht dann der Gewichtszunahme bei der Be­ ladung der Wäschetrommel. Dies kann in einem mit der Wiegeein­ richtung gekoppelten Anzeigeelement in der Bedienblende 2 der Maschine angezeigt werden. Das angezeigte Wäschegewicht ist für den Benutzer eine Kontrolle beim Beladen der Wäschetrommel und kann zudem als Information für die Ermittlung der Waschmittel­ dosierung sowie Steuerung des Wasch-, Spül- und Schleudervor­ ganges herangezogen werden.In a further development of the invention, it is advantageous to provide a pull-out worktop 7 in the kastenar term base 6 , which can then serve as a storage space for a laundry basket or the like. Der Wassertank im Unterbau könnte aber auch als Zwischenspeicher zur Wiederverwendung von Spülwasser aus dem letzten Spülgang eingesetzt werden.
