Description
The invention relates to a device for removing content substances from an air flow, especially for lowering the humidity activity of a passenger compartment of a motor vehicle, according to the Oberbe handle of claim 1.
To a heating or air conditioning system of a motor vehicle if possible To operate in an energy-saving manner, it is advantageous to move the system around to operate air operation. This aspect is particularly important in consumption-optimized vehicles and electric vehicles. For a long time However, air recirculation mode increases the humidity inside the vehicle room in such a way that a window fitting can occur. For this Basically, continuously working circulating air dryers were developed.
Continuous circulating air dryers are preferred even then used when the pollution of fresh air is very high is, because then must reduce the risk of window fogging not be switched to polluted fresh air supply, but it can be in recirculation mode over a longer period be driven.
Such a circulating air dryer is known from DE 195 27 638 has two zeolite adsorbers, one of which is the humidity activity is adsorbed and the other is regenerated at the same time and desorbs the air humidity. By switching flaps and mutual adsorbing and desorbing the two adsorbers continuous operation guaranteed.
With this device, odors and pollutants in the continuous Processes can be removed from the air by the air current through a rotating cylinder filled with activated carbon is directed across the axis of rotation. A constant part The activated carbon is filled by heating elements in the activated carbon Oil fill are provided, which heats up on the activated carbon adsorbed ingredients are desorbed and by means of flowing through this position-constant part of the adsorbent Partial gas flow to be continued. The unheated part of the active coal is used to adsorb pollutants. By rotating the Cylinders are continuously loaded with the ingredients Portions of the activated carbon are desorbed and regenerated activated carbon Adsorption provided.
This known, continuously operating device could be prince piell also used to reduce the humidity of an air stream become. The disadvantage, however, is that the direct heating of the Adsorbent vorese in the adsorbent according to DE 35 17 105 heaters a rapid aging of the adsorbent and / or Destruction or at least structural change due to overheating occurs. This applies in particular if zeolite, that can adsorb moisture effectively.
In addition, this known device is relatively expensive to be delivered because the heating rods are provided within the adsorber filling are and the activation of the heating elements only by a complex Be switching by sliding contacts that wear out quickly, acti are feasible.
Starting from this prior art, it is the object of the invention an improved, continuously operating device, in particular to lower the humidity of a passenger compartment Motor vehicle to provide, which is simple and ef can efficiently extract moisture from an air stream.
This problem is solved by a generic device with the characterizing features of claim 1.
The adsorbent is in the form of a hollow cylinder, with inside of the hollow cylinder, the heating device is arranged in a stationary manner and a partial air flow of the air flow warms the adsorbent flows through. This way, with ingredients, for example moisture, loaded and desorbable adsorbent indirectly heated via the exhaust air. The heated partial air flow takes the desorbed substances and forms the proportion of exhaust air. Through the indirect heating of the adsorbent ensures that the ad sorbent, for example a zeolite, is heated uniformly and only ages slowly and is not overheated. A structural change or even destruction of the adsorbent is effectively prevented.
Another advantage is that the heated in the desorption area Part of the adsorbent quickly turns off when the hollow cylinder rotates cools and is ready for the effective adsorption of moisture. The faster cooling of the adsorbent in the pre according to the invention direction than in a known device according to DE 35 17 105 is based on the fact that in the device according to the invention none, a relatively large heat capacity, heating rods in are provided within the adsorber filling, which during the Rota tion with each revolution of the adsorbent cylinder in the desorption have to be heated up and then cooled down again. The This disadvantageous heating and cooling of the heating device is eliminated in the device according to the invention.
In order to be able to adsorb moisture in particular, the adsor is bens a zeolite.
In addition to heating, it is preferred within the hollow cylinder direction a blower arranged. By integrating the blower ses in the dryer can be a very space-saving Realize order. There is always little in today's motor vehicles ger space available for the individual components, so that a ge less space means a big advantage.
Advantageously, there are hollow cylinders between them the adsorbent and the housing wall of the housing sealing elements provided, which are arranged such that the from a channel air flowing through another channel must flow through the adsorbent. This is an effective separation between desorption and Ad sorption range improved.
The desorption region is preferably in the direction of rotation before Adsorption area arranged so that the air to be dried optimally can be dried by the freshly regenerated adsorbent un is used indirectly for desorption.
In the following the invention is based on an embodiment explained in detail with reference to the drawing.
In der Zeichnung zeigen:The drawing shows:
Fig. 1 eine schematische Darstellung der erfindungsgemäs sen Vorrichtung; Fig. 1 is a schematic representation of the device according to the invention;
Fig. 2 shows a further embodiment of the device.
An inventive device 10 shown in the drawing for removing ingredients from an air stream 12 , in particular for lowering the humidity of a passenger compartment of a motor vehicle, has a housing 14 with at least one air inlet duct 16 , a first air outlet duct 18 for the exhaust air 20 and a second air outlet duct 22 for the dried air 24 . The housing 14 is cylindrical in the view according to Fig. 1 substantially. An adsorbent 26 in the form of a hollow cylinder 28 rotatable about its longitudinal axis is provided in the housing 14 . The adsorbent 26 is filled between the outer and inner walls 30 and 32 of the hollow cylinder 28 . Activated carbon, silica gel or the like can be used as the adsorbent. However, zeolite is preferably used because zeolite effectively adsorbs moisture.
A heater 34 , for example a PTC heater, is fixedly arranged within the hollow cylinder 28 . The heating device 34 is arranged spatially opposite the exhaust air outlet duct 18 , where on sides 36 and 38 of the heating device 34 almost abut the inner wall 32 of the hollow cylinder 28 .
Between the outer wall 30 of the hollow cylinder 28 and a housing 40 is a sealing element 42 or 44 or 46 is provided between the individual channels 16 , 18 , 22 , so that the air 12 is not between the hollow cylinder 28 and the housing wall 40 by one Channel can flow to another channel. The air must always flow through the adsor bens 26 .
Die erfindungsgemäße Vorrichtung arbeitet wie folgt:The device according to the invention works as follows:
The incoming air 12 to be dried flows through the adsorbent 26 into the interior of the hollow cylinder 28 . When flowing through the adsorbent 26 , the air 12 is partially dried. A large part 24 of the air 12 flowing into the interior passes through the adsorbent 26 in a region (adsorption region) 52 of the air outlet duct 22 a second time, is dried in the process and leaves the device 10 via the air outlet duct 22 . A smaller partial air flow 21 of the air 12 flowing into the interior flows through the heating device 34 , is thereby heated and flows through the area 48 of the adsorbent 26 located between the heating device 34 and the exhaust air outlet duct 18 . This area 48 forms a desorption area, since the partial air stream 21 heated in the heating device 34 heats the adsorbent 26 and desorbs the moisture which is carried along by the partial air stream 21 through the exhaust air outlet duct 18 . The partial air flow 21 thus initially forms the desorption air. After the desorption air 21 has flowed through the desorption region 48 , it forms the laden exhaust air 20 .
The hollow cylinder 28 is continuously rotated at an adjusted speed in the direction of arrow 50 , as a result of which the adsorbent 26 is continuously dried in the desorption region 48 and the dried adsorbent cools down in the course of the further rotation and can again absorb moisture in the area of the air outlet duct 22 .
The adsorbent, which is at least partially laden with moisture, is displaced in the course of the further rotation to an area opposite the air inlet duct 16 , where it serves to pre-dry the moist air 12 . The then fully loaded adsorber 26 is fed to the desorption region 48 again in the course of the further rotation and regenerated.
In a further embodiment of the invention shown in FIG. 2, a radial fan 54 is provided within the hollow cylinder 28 , of which only the fan wheel is indicated schematically. The fan 54 is designed such that air is drawn in through the air inlet duct 16 and transported to the air outlet ducts 18 and 22 .
