In einem Anzeigedisplay 4 wird die Restlaufzeit des eingestellten Trocknungsprogramms dem Benutzer zur Kenntnis gebracht. Einem weiteren Anzeigedisplay 5 ist zweckmäßig eine Druckschaltertaste 6 zugeordnet, mit deren Betätigung der mit den Drehwahlschalter 2 angewählte bzw. eingestellte Wäschetrocknungsgrad innerhalb seines Festprogrammes individuell verändert werden kann, wobei die mit einem Tastendruck vorgenommene jeweilige Veränderung im Anzeigedisplay 5 zur Anzeige gebracht wird. Die Veränderung des gewählten Trocknungsgrades kann beispielsweise durch eine zeitliche Verlängerung der für diesen gewählten Trocknungsgrad in der Programmsteuereinrichtung festgelegten Trocknungszeit des Trocknungsgrad-Festprogrammes erreicht werden. Eine weitere zweckmäßige Möglichkeit besteht darin, den gewählten Trocknungsgrad durch Veränderung des für diesen Trocknungsgrad festgelegten Restfeuchteschaltwertes, d. h.
