Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a method for Drying paints using infrared radiators Use of infrared radiator units in one Dryer cabin of the contour of the object to be irradiated are arranged adapted.
The lacquer drying is from the prior art Infrared radiators in dryer cabins are known and will especially when drying painted vehicles used. Such a paint drying process of the beginning the type mentioned describes, for example, DE 43 12 892 A1. This known method is a single-stage drying process. In this well-known Procedures have already dealt with the problem that the paint drying system in a continuously working Painting line in which new vehicles are constantly entering and leaving be dissipated, must be integrated. With the well-known However, the vehicles to be dried are removed from the process Paint line separated out and by means of a lifting device raised in a dryer cabin and after the Drying process reintegrated into the painting line. However, this solution has the disadvantage that by lifting of the vehicle in the dryer cabin air circulation arise, which whirl up fine dust particles, that can settle on the freshly painted vehicle, which affects the paintwork.
In other known methods in which the Drying stage as a step in a continuous Lackierstraße is integrated, the problem is that the drying process for each vehicle takes longer than that Painting process. The individual steps including of the drying process are linear in the painting line arranged one behind the other so that the next Vehicle can only be fed into the drying cabin if the drying process on the previous vehicle is completed. This means the longer one Drying process slows down the entire painting and Drying process and thus significantly reduces the capacity the painting line. For example, with the so-called Repainting after assembly of the vehicle relatively large number of vehicles through such Painting line must be sluiced, is an increase in Paint line capacity very desirable.
On the other hand, with the freshly painted vehicle, how already mentioned at the beginning, all funding processes in Problematic in the vicinity of the vehicle because they stir up dust, that settles in the fresh paint. The funding processes should therefore be minimized immediately after painting. In the case of so-called refinishing, there is also the fact that these are pre-assembled vehicles that are already stand on the vehicle tires, so that a cross promotion of Vehicle not at all to the direction of travel or only with all considerable technical effort is possible. So it has to be guaranteed that the vehicle is as linear as possible Longitudinal direction of the vehicle through conveyor belts or the like to the next station of the painting line is funded, that is, the individual stations must be arranged as linearly as possible.
Based on this state of the art present invention the task of a method for drying paints using infrared emitters to create the type mentioned, in which the Drying process time in a paint line like this integrates that their capacity is increased, whereby additional conveying processes, in particular cross-conveying processes, be avoided.
A solution according to the invention provides this object Process of the type mentioned at the outset with the characteristic Features of the main claim. According to the invention, one leads the drying process is not one-stage but two-stage through, in the first drying stage Infrared emitters used in their arrangement to the Shape of the object to be dried, especially the Body of a vehicle are adjusted and at least are partially movable so that they are close to the vehicle are approachable. In this first drying stage one only dries to a certain degree of dryness by. It is first heated up to the desired object temperature is reached. Then you promote the vehicle in the longitudinal direction in a second dryer cabin, in which one then further drying until largely complete drying of the paint. In this second drying stage, the temperature is only kept at the desired object temperature. From object temperature spoken, since the temperature directly on the object, the usually means in the paint on the body of the vehicle, is measured.
This two-stage drying has the advantage that after the first stage the paint has dried to the extent that he possibly against that in the subsequent funding process whirled up dust is no longer so sensitive, so that Grains of dust can no longer settle in the paint. You can also start the drying process in the first stage shorten, for example to half the previous necessary total drying time. The vehicle then becomes the second drying cabin for post-drying, so that while on this first vehicle the second Drying level is carried out at the same time again a vehicle in the first dryer cabin in the first Process stage can be dried. The drying time and thus the length of time the vehicle stays in each single station of the entire painting line can use it be significantly reduced and the capacity of the Painting line is increased.
The entire painting process can be carried out so that all individual stations, including the two Drying stations, one after the other in a street and are arranged on one level. The funding processes between The two drying stages are technically very simple. The The method according to the invention has a further advantage. The dryer used for the first drying stage with partially movable infrared radiators that are connected to the Body contour are adapted, which in the professional world as so-called whole-food dryer is called in the Manufacturing much more expensive than that for the second drying stage used drying cabin with stationary Infrared dryers. In the second cabin are preferred the infrared dryers stationary above and next to the body arranged while in front and behind the body preferably still movable infrared radiator used. So you still need for the entire painting line only a relatively expensive whole food dryer and used for the second drying stage an inexpensive stationary Infrared dryer. In the for the second drying stage used drying cabin with stationary infrared dryer Above and next to the body, they can preferably movable infrared dryer in front of and behind the body from the center of the cabin to the side pushed apart or moved together in the middle according to a preferred further development of the inventive method. The side moving dryer in front of and behind the body each move on a line what turns out to be has proven favorable. The vehicle is in the cabin conveyed, then the dryers run in front of and behind the Vehicle together so that the dryer is close to the stern and get to the front of the vehicle. After completing the second drying stage, the dryers move apart again and the vehicle can leave this drying cabin while at the same time the next vehicle moves up from behind.
The method according to the invention is preferably so carried out that already in the first drying stage Temperature is raised so far that the required Final temperature is already essentially reached. In the second drying stage, the drying temperature in essentially maintained at this final temperature. The The temperature is only raised in the first Drying level. When handing over from the first dryer cabin for the second dryer cabin, make sure that the Temperature does not drop too far. If necessary one can do this according to a preferred development the invention a blow ring or the like, if necessary with a hot air blower or with infrared heaters use, for example, housed in an archway between the first and the second dryer cabin is arranged so that the vehicle in the transfer area passed the blow ring between the two dryer cabins and undergoes additional heating, causing a to sharp drop in temperature is avoided.

First, reference is made to FIG. 1 and a possible painting line for automobiles in which the two-stage drying with infrared radiators according to the method according to the invention is used is explained on the basis of this schematically greatly simplified illustration. The conveying direction of the vehicles through the stations of the painting line, which are arranged linearly one after the other on a level, is in the longitudinal direction in the drawing from left to right in the drawing. It is a painting line for the repainting of vehicles, that is, it relates to repair processes that are necessary when painting vehicles with a relatively high percentage of vehicles. The vehicle is first masked in station 9 , so that only the areas of the body to be painted remain free. The vehicle then arrives at station 10 , where it is painted, for example, with a water-based paint. In the subsequent station 11 , intermediate evaporation takes place with the aid of infrared radiators and / or warm air at an elevated temperature. A cooling takes place in the subsequent station 12 . A further painting process then takes place in station 13 with a so-called two-component clear coat or a uni-coat. The painting process is now complete.
Directly behind the last painting station 13 is the first dryer cabin 14 , which is a so-called full dryer with predominantly movable infrared radiators in an arrangement that is adapted to the body of the vehicle, so that these radiators are as close as possible to the Can drive the body of the vehicle up and only bring about a targeted and effective drying where there has been repainting. In this first dryer cabin 14 , the painted vehicle is heated to the required object temperature. The solvents evaporate. This results in a first drying to the extent that during the subsequent transport process to the second dryer cabin 16 essentially no more dusts can penetrate deeper into the fresh paint. The vehicle spends only a fraction of the drying time in the first dryer cabin 14 , the temperature there already being raised to the final temperature to be reached on the object if possible. As indicated in the drawing, there is a so-called blow ring 15 between the first dryer cabin 14 and the second dryer cabin 16 . This is a kind of archway with a heating device and blower through which the vehicle is transported after leaving the first dryer cabin 14 , so that with the help of the blower ring 15 there is an intermediate heating, which cools too much during the transfer from the first dryer cabin 14 to second dryer cabin 16 prevented. Instead of the blower, infrared heaters can also be used here.
The vehicle, which then arrives in the second dryer cabin 16 , which in turn is arranged linearly in the longitudinal direction behind the first dryer cabin 14 , is dried in the second drying stage for approximately the same amount of time that the vehicle has spent in the first dryer cabin 14 . The desired final temperature is preferably maintained in the second dryer cabin 16 and is not increased further. Thus, while the first vehicle in the second dryer cabin 16 is being dried further, the next vehicle in the first dryer cabin 14 can already be dried in the first drying stage. This increases the capacity of the painting line, in particular the painting cycles, compared to the conventional painting lines.
Fig. 2 zeigt eine Ansicht der ersten Trocknerkabine 14. Fig. 2 shows a view of the first dryer cab 14. As can be seen, there are various radiator units with infrared radiators 17 arranged on the underside, namely radiator units 18 a for the rear area of the body, radiator units 18 b for the roof of the body, radiator units 18 c for the front region of the body, radiator units 18 d for drying the rear area of the body, emitter units 18 e for drying the front area of the body from the front and emitter units 18 f for drying the body from the side. As can be seen further, the emitter units 18 e to 18 f mentioned can be moved and can be lowered from the ceiling along guide devices 19 to the desired height. The rear, front and side radiator units 18 d, 18 e, 18 f can also be arranged pivotably about a horizontal axis, so that they can be pivoted directly towards the parts of the vehicle to be dried.
Fig. 3 shows a drier booth 16 for the drying of the vehicle in the second dry stage of the process. The infrared radiator units 20 are arranged in a stationary manner in this second dryer cabin 16 , that is to say they are mounted in a stationary manner. This results in a stationary surface of radiator units which is closed laterally next to and above the vehicle, so that a space is created with a hexagonal longitudinal section that tapers like a trapezoid at the top and is only open towards the two end faces. The vehicle can therefore be conveyed in from one end face and conveyed out from the other end face. This dryer cabin with stationary infrared emitter units 20 is much less expensive and easier to control in manufacture than the dryer cabin 14 with full-value emitters 18 . As can be seen, the archway-like blow ring 15 is arranged in front of the second dryer cabin 16 , which the vehicle passes before entering the second dryer cabin.
The diagram according to Fig. 4 shows an example of a possible heating curve, wherein the temperature profile during the drying process as a function of time is plotted. The diagram shows the target temperature, of which there are naturally deviations down and up within a tolerance range in practice. The heating zone 21 can be seen , this heating taking place exclusively in the first dryer cabin 14 . After the end temperature has already been reached in the first dryer cabin, there is a recognizable short drop in the temperature by a small amount in the transition region 22 during the transfer from the first dryer cabin 14 to the second dryer cabin 16 . The temperature is then kept approximately constant in the second dryer booth corresponding to the region 23 until the drying process is complete.
