Abstract

The light has a lamp holder for holding a light source and a light outlet surfaced for radiating the light from the source. An adapter module (2) has a lamp base (4) for insertion in to the holder, at least one connection contact (5) for contacting the holder, a carrying body (6) for at least one light emitting diode (7), an electronic unit (8) for controlling the at least one LED and a scattering optical arrangement (9) for shaping the emitted light from the LED.
