Description
GEBIET DER ERFINDUNGFIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a portable visual display device for an electrical or electronic measuring device and to a measuring station arrangement with such a display device.
TECHNISCHER HINTERGRUNDTECHNICAL BACKGROUND
The present invention is in the field of so-called head-mounted displays (literally "head-mounted displays") or short HMD, which are understood to mean on the head of a person worn visual output devices. It presents images either on a near-eye screen or projects directly onto the retina. Representatives of such head-mounted display are the so-called EyeTap and Google Glass.
EyeTap refers to a monocle-like head-mounted display, which is worn in front of the eye and which combines the function of a camera and a display. EyeTap displays computer-generated images in the user-perceived scene. Unlike virtual reality, where the user's field of vision is shielded by an appropriate helmet, the EyeTap user continues to perceive his surroundings.
The present invention is also in the field of electrical measuring and testing technology. In the case of electrical measuring and test technology, a test object to be tested, the so-called device under test or DUT, which can be a wafer, a single component, an assembly, an integrated circuit or a complete device, is tested or tested. Testing is done by measuring physical parameters. When it comes to measuring and testing technology, the test engineer is often faced with the task of electrically contacting the test object with suitable probes, at the same time entering corresponding measurement parameters and, in addition, monitoring the measuring curves on the measuring device. This is not trivial, especially in the case of complex measurement objects and / or with a large number of parameters to be measured, since sometimes there is no free view of the screen of the measuring device or the display is hidden, for example by the arms of the test engineer. Frequently, however, an attempt to observe the screen nevertheless leads to undesired slippage of the probes, which however can falsify the measurement, as a result of which the entire series of measurements would have to be carried out again. This is time consuming and unproductive.
ZUSAMMENFASSUNG DER ERFINDUNGSUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
Against this background, there is a need to facilitate the testing of DUTs to be tested.
For this purpose, the invention provides a display device with the features of patent claim 1 and / or a measuring station arrangement with the features of

One finding of the present invention is that it is uncomfortable for a test engineer to concentrate on the one hand on contacting the probe and, on the other hand, in the context of testing or checking required monitoring of a screen.
The idea underlying the present invention is to provide a portable and thus mobile visual display device in addition to or as an alternative to a conventional screen provided in the measuring device. This mobile display device is in the form of electronic glasses. The mobile display device or the electronic glasses has a display and a communication interface to the measuring device. In this way, information of the measuring device, which relate for example to the current measurement, can be transmitted to the mobile display device and displayed by means of the display. For this purpose, the electronic spectacles are typically set up by a test engineer who is currently testing a test object during the test procedure. Via the display, corresponding measurement information of a current test procedure can be displayed directly on the display, without the test engineer having to move his head away during a test procedure and without being distracted from the test procedure performed on the test object. The test engineer receives on the display as needed visual image information, the z. B. relate to the ongoing test process.
The particular advantage of the present invention is that the test procedure is significantly simplified by means of such a mobile display device, since the test engineer is no longer distracted from the test procedure itself or from a corresponding handling. He can concentrate fully on the test procedure and thus receives the corresponding measurement information on the display of the portable display device in a parallel manner - without having to turn his head away from the measurement object or without having to change his position. This reduces the likelihood that probes will slip off the test object during a test procedure. The entire measurement is thus simpler and more comfortable.
Advantageous embodiments and further developments will become apparent from the other dependent claims and from the description with reference to the figures of the drawing.
In a particularly preferred embodiment, a wireless communication interface is provided, via which the display device can establish wireless data communication with a measuring device coupled to it. In this way, a user of the display device or the meter is not affected by a connecting line between the electronic glasses and the meter, which facilitates the overall measurement and testing. However, it must be ensured that this communication interface does not affect the measurement process, the measurement result and / or the parameters to be measured.
In a particularly preferred embodiment, the display is designed as a head-up display (or short HUD). In a head-up display, a user can maintain his head posture and / or viewing direction since information about the head-up display is projected directly into his field of vision. Head-up displays generally consist of an imaging unit, an optical module and a projection surface. In this case, the imaging unit generates the image, which is passed via the optical module with collimator and deflection on a projection screen. This projection can z. B. be formed by a specular, translucent spectacle lens. The advantage is that on the one hand the user can recognize the image information which is displayed via the head-up display on the one hand because of the transparency of the spectacle lenses, that is to say he receives the mirrored information of the imaging unit. In addition, the user perceives the real world behind the lenses, such as the measurement setup, the probes, and the DUT. The generated virtual image can be projected onto the screen so as to be detected by a single eye (monocular) or both eyes (binocular) of the user.
In an alternative embodiment, the display is designed as at least partially transparent screen. This partially transparent screen can be arranged, for example, in a partial region of a spectacle lens. In a preferred embodiment, for example, a partially transparent LCD film may be provided as a screen. A user receives via the screen or the LCD film corresponding image information displayed directly on a respective lens and takes due to the partial transparency still aware of the environmental information behind the lens.
In one embodiment, the display is at least partially transparent and preferably completely transparent in the deactivated state. In the deactivated state, the display thus does not affect the actual function of the spectacles, so that a user has a completely free field of view. Transparency in terms of optics in this context means the permeability of the material of the spectacle lens for light waves. Complete transparency in this context means that (almost) all light waves are transmitted through the spectacle lens, whereas partial transparency means that a significant portion of the light waves are transmitted, so that the spectacle lenses cause only a darkening, but not complete shading.
In a particularly preferred embodiment, the display is arranged in one of the lenses or assigned to one of the lenses so that it is arranged in the intended use of the glasses in a secondary field of view of the eye. In this way, it is possible for a user to perceive the environment in the primary field of view of the eye almost unhindered. Only in the event that a user wants to perceive the image information displayed by the display, he can do so by a movement of the pupil toward the secondary field of view of the eye. This also ensures that the display and the image information displayed by it support the user during the measuring and testing process, but do not disturb it.
In one embodiment of the invention, a single display is provided, which is assigned to exactly one spectacle lens. A user thus has at least the second lens a free, unobstructed view. The only display fills in the activated state of this lens at least partially and in particular completely so, so that the image information is displayed on a part or in the entire lens.
In a particularly preferred embodiment, each lens is assigned its own display, d. H. one display for the left lens and one display for the right lens. These two displays could be designed to display different image information. For example, it would be conceivable for a first display to represent respective measured values, measurement series, signal time diagrams of the measured signals, while, for example, the second display provides an enlargement of the measurement setup. Conceivable, of course, would be other constellations. This would allow a user to select on which of the two lenses the image information should be displayed. Advantageously, a respective display can be activated and deactivated as required and independently of the respective other display.
In a preferred embodiment, an input device is provided, which is coupled to the display control device and via which user-specific input information can be entered. For example, control information for the display control device, operating information and the like can be input via the input device. In addition, programming of the display device would also be possible via the input device. It would be conceivable, for example, that a zoom function, a display area on the display, the camera, the display and the like be controlled via the input device.
In a particularly preferred embodiment, a non-contact input device is provided. This makes a very comfortable input that is very easy for the user possible. The user can make contactless user-specific inputs during testing without being distracted from the measurement process by manual movements. The user thus receives an additional degree of freedom during the measuring process, which increases the comfort, especially in the case of very complex measuring and testing processes.
In a preferred embodiment, the input device is designed as an acceleration sensor, which is coupled to, for example, the spectacle frame or a spectacle lens. An acceleration sensor refers to a sensor that measures an acceleration and is thus sensitive to movement. The acceleration sensor is designed in such a way, for example, to detect a jerky movement of the display device or the glasses in at least one direction and to supply the display control device with control information which contains information about the detected movement, depending on the jerky movement thus detected. Preferably, a linear acceleration, ie an acceleration in a predetermined direction, is measured. Thus, by means of a linear acceleration sensor, two pieces of information can be recorded, namely first information in one direction and second information in the opposite direction. In addition, it would be conceivable to provide a plurality of acceleration sensors, which are each sensitive to an acceleration in a different direction. Preferably, two acceleration sensors are provided, wherein a first acceleration sensor is sensitive to a head nod, ie a movement of the head down and up. For example, a second acceleration sensor may be sensitive to a head shake, ie a movement of the head to the left and to the right. In this way, four input information can be entered by a jerky head movement. In addition, other acceleration sensors could be used which are sensitive to other directions.
Additionally or alternatively, provided as an input device provided on the eyeglass frame button, keyboard and / or touchpad. After such an input device is present on the eyeglass frame and thus is not visible in the intended use of the electronic glasses, it is advantageous if a haptic coding of the keys is present, so that the user can recognize the respective keys by a suitable structure of the surface. Typically, though not necessarily, this input device is on the side eyeglass frame attached so that it does not affect the field of view of a user in the intended use of electronic glasses.
In a further additional or alternative embodiment, a first motion sensor is provided as the input device. This first motion sensor is arranged and positioned in such a way as to recognize a wink of the user in the intended use of the spectacles and to supply control information to the display control device as a function of the detected winking. Additionally or alternatively, it may also be provided that the first motion sensor detects not only a wink, but also, for example, a number of winks or their frequency. The particular advantage is that an input can be coded by a user by winking, the number of consecutive wink events and / or their frequency. The display control device is then able to decode the thus recognized winking information accordingly.
In a further embodiment, the input device may comprise a second motion sensor, which is arranged and positioned to recognize gestures of the user in the intended use of the electronic glasses and to supply control information to the display control device as a function of the recognized gestures. Gesture recognition is a branch of computer science and deals with algorithms and mathematical methods for the automatic recognition of human gestures and the use of such gestures for human-computer interaction. For example, every posture and body movement can in principle be interpreted as a gesture. By means of the second motion sensor can be detected in this way according to predetermined gestures, wherein the display control means assigns a detected gesture of a control information or a user-specific input. This is a very elegant non-contact input option, which additionally facilitates the measurement process for the user, since he does not have to press a keyboard that is specifically available for the corresponding input.
In a further, additional or alternative embodiment, a camera is provided, which is designed to record a video sequence, an image or a pattern. The camera can be designed, for example, as a CCD camera. The video sequence recorded by the camera, images, patterns, etc. can be displayed on the display in one embodiment. Additionally or alternatively, it would also be conceivable to use the camera as an input device, wherein the video sequence, image, pattern, etc. contains an input information which is evaluated by the display control device and assigned to a control information. For example, it would be conceivable for a user to record image information by looking at a bar code, a QR code or the like, which is also recorded by the camera when the camera is aligned appropriately. This image information can be decoded by the display control device and assigned to a control information. It would also be conceivable for the user to actuate a visually accessible keyboard by appropriate glances by optically fixing the various keys of a keyboard, which is recognized by the camera. In this way, entire control commands can be entered by optical input using the camera.
In a further embodiment, a pattern recognition device is provided, which is designed to recognize the image or pattern recorded by the camera, in particular a QR code or bar code. This pattern recognition device can be part of the camera and / or the display control device or can also be designed as a separate device. It would also be conceivable that the layout of a circuit board, an integrated circuit and similar layout structures are detected by means of the pattern recognition device.
In a particularly preferred embodiment, the display control device has a zoom function, by means of which image information displayed by the display can be increased or reduced as required. The user can in this way z. B. enlarge or reduce a section of the image information displayed on the display. For example, in this way the measuring range can be increased or several image information can be displayed by reducing it on the display.
In one embodiment, the display control device is designed to display recorded measurement data as a signal-time diagram on the display. The measured data are preferably displayed as time-continuous signal-time diagrams. The user can thus follow the course of a current measurement directly. Additionally or alternatively, it would also be conceivable that the display control device is designed to display recorded measurement data as a signal frequency diagram on the display.
In an alternative embodiment, the display control device is designed to display recorded measurement data as digital values, in particular as mean values, on the display. This is useful if the test engineer z. B. not by an excessive amount Measurement information should be flooded. Additionally or alternatively, it would also be conceivable to use only upper and lower threshold values, marker values, ie individual values taken out of a measurement curve selectively by a marker, threshold value exceedances, eg. Example, as a traffic light display or Yes-No display, and the like on the display.
In a further embodiment, the display control device is designed to display CAD information and / or design information of the measurement object on the display. This CAD information or design information wins the display control device, for example via the meter itself or about the image information recorded by the camera.
In one embodiment of the measuring station arrangement according to the invention, its probe has programmable keys. By means of these programmable keys, the function of the probe can be programmed user-specifically, for example such that, for example, by pressing the keys, the value of a currently measured physical parameter is displayed on the display of the display device. In addition, other programming would be conceivable, such as switching a measuring range, increasing a measuring range, activating and / or deactivating the display of the display device, activating and / or deactivating a camera, etc.
Under a probe, which is also referred to as a measuring head or probe divider, a measuring means in the electronics to understand. The probe is connected to a device under test, the so-called measuring object, and forwards the measured signal to the measuring device. There are probes for measuring a variety of physical parameters, such as voltage, current, frequency, temperature and the like. Smart probes already contain electronic components to compensate for measurement errors. There are a variety of different probe types, depending on the application, the appropriate probe must be selected for each measurement.
In a further, likewise preferred embodiment, the probe head has a probe camera. This probe camera is arranged and adapted to record a video sequence, an image and / or a pattern of the measurement object or a part thereof and display it via the display of the display device. The probe camera can be understood in a further embodiment as part of an input device for the display device when, for example, receives patterns on a measurement object and interpreted as part of an input. Particularly advantageous is the probe camera in conjunction with a zoom function of the display control device, since thereby the positioning and thus the contact of the probe is facilitated to a provided for contacting area of the measurement object.
In a further embodiment, the probe and / or the display device are wirelessly coupled to the meter. In this way, it is effectively prevented that connecting lines between the probe or the display device and the measuring device impair the operation of the measuring device and in particular the measuring process performed therewith.
In a further embodiment, the display device is designed such that its display control device activates the display only when the probe is in contact with the test object to be tested. In a first variant it can be provided that the probe is brought into electrical contact with the corresponding measurement object. In addition, it would also be conceivable that the display is already activated when the probe mechanically contacts, for example, any point of the measurement object. The image information is thus only superimposed on the display of the display device when a measurement process has actually been initiated. Otherwise, the display would remain disabled so that the user is not distracted by the display. In addition, this also saves the energy resources of the display device.
In a typical embodiment, the measuring device is designed as an oscilloscope, RF measuring device, spectroanalyzer, network analyzer, signal generator and / or direction finder. In addition, of course, other advantageous applications of the present invention would be conceivable. Especially for these applications, it is advantageous if the test engineer is not distracted by a measurement.
