Abstract
Lamp having at least three LEDs, which emit light within the visual spectrum from approx. 400 nm to approx. 900 nm wavelength. According to the invention it is provided that the spectrum of the lamp consists of more than 50% of the light output of spectral components of the emitted light in the wavelength range of a) 580 nm with a half-width of 10 nm to 30 nm, b) 620 nm with a half-width of 10 nm up to 30 nm, c) 830 nm with a half width of 10 nm to 30 nm, and that the light output of the at least three LEDs over the range from approx. 400 nm to approx. 900 nm has at least 500 W / m2, the light output being through the light output of the at least three LEDs and is predetermined by at least one reflector. Surprisingly, it has been shown that the use of light with this composition in light therapy stimulates skin cell growth and the formation of collagen and elastin and thus regeneration and rejuvenation of the skin can be achieved.
Description
The invention relates to a lamp, comprising at least three LEDs, which emits light within the visual spectrum of about 400 nm to about 900 nm wavelength (VIS-NIR range).
Lamps for beauty applications are known for use for medical, medical-related or cosmetic purposes, and lamps which have a light spectrum which leads to an external improvement of the skin structure of the patient in the case of a light therapy of a patient with these lamps. In order to improve the skin structure with light therapy, lamps are used which have a radiation maximum at a wavelength between 610 and 640 nm. As a result, these lamps are reddish or pink in color by the use of phosphor phosphors in fluorescent lamps or gas discharge lamps. To carry out the light treatment, fluorescent tubes or gas discharge lamps are therefore used because these lamps have hitherto preferred properties for this purpose.
A first desirable feature of these lamps is that fluorescent tubes and gas discharge lamps typically have a low but not negligible infrared component, which does not overheat the skin when light-treated with these lamps. The subjective feeling of the patient exposed to the light of such a lamp is not marked by excessive heat. In comparison, filament lamps employable for the treatment of light of human skin have a continuous spectrum, wherein the continuous spectrum of the filament lamp substantially resembles the spectrum of a blackbody. In order to enhance the spectral component of the emitted light of an incandescent lamp, which is preferred for the intended purpose, it is necessary in the case of incandescent lamps to increase the overall power and to work with filters, so that the skin is not exposed to unnecessarily high heat radiation during the light treatment. By using filters, most of the light energy of a filament lamp is lost.
Another desirable characteristic of fluorescent lamps and gas discharge lamps is that they have a high proportion of narrow-band spectral components whose position in the spectrum and intensity can be optimized for the desired application. But also gas discharge lamps and fluorescent lamps are not variably optimally variable in their spectral properties, because the available phosphor phosphors for generating the light usually have a complex broad spectrum, within which find different lines or at least narrowband spectral components with high light output. In the optimization of mixtures of fluorescent phosphors for fluorescent lamps and gas discharge lamps, the result is sometimes not fully predictable, because the spectral properties of the fluorescence of the phosphor phosphors depends on the formulation of the luminous salt but also on the excitation wavelength of the phosphor. The excitation wavelength for exciting the fluorescence of the phosphor phosphors is not only the wavelength of the line spectra of the gas discharging in the gas discharge lamp or in the fluorescent lamp, but the synopsis of all resulting in the phosphor mixture light components with individual wavelength and intensity. In this case, a self-excitation effect is observable, with fluorescent light of the phosphor phosphors again excites the same phosphor phosphor to fluorescence at other wavelengths. The production of phosphor phosphors by mixing different ingredients for fluorescent lamps and gas discharge lamps with pre-selected properties is therefore accompanied by a variety of mixing and formulation experiments without exact predictability of the spectrum generated with the experimentally prepared phosphorus phosphors.
If special lamps are to be created for a purpose in the medical, medical-related or cosmetic field, there is the problem that when optimizing the light properties of the lamp must always be accepted that also creates light with an undesirable wavelength, such as Light in the UV-A, UV-B or even in the UV-C range. These accompanying light components can cause erythema, sunburn or even carcinoma if they are very pronounced. Therefore, these inevitable in purchase spectral components are minimized by selecting the mixture and formulation of phosphor phosphors as possible. Furthermore, it can not be ruled out that the effect of the UV-A, UV-B, UV-C or the infrared fraction of the light of fluorescent lamps or gas discharge lamps also show an additional effect which only apparently improves the skin structure. Thus, it is not completely ruled out that the human skin treated with fluorescent lamps or gas-discharge lamps shows a slight swelling due to the accompanying spectral components outside the desired light spectrum and that, due to the internal irritation of the skin following the light treatment, this only an apparent improvement in the skin structure due to intercalation of Lymphatic fluid and water show, because the swelling in the upper layers of skin externally resembles the desired effects externally.
Legal requirements for the licensability of light sources set limits on the erythema efficiency of the total light source, each individual wavelength of the light being evaluated with an individualized erythema efficiency. The total erythema efficiency of the light source thus consists of the integral of the individual intensities at different wavelengths multiplied by the once determined erythema of light of this wavelength and intensity, because not only the location in the spectrum, but also the energy of light at this wavelength is the cause of the erythema. In general, the erythema efficacy is not linear. This means that a low proportion of light at a certain wavelength has no or only a low erythema efficiency and increases disproportionately to the light intensity when a threshold intensity is exceeded.
Although knowledge about the erythema efficiency of narrow bandwidth light exists, there is currently no exact knowledge of the necessary, exact spectral composition of light for a desired efficacy on human skin. In previous studies of the reaction of human skin to light, human skin has been exposed to monochromatic or narrow-band light for a variable time, and the response of the skin, mostly redness, to light exposure has been studied. Thus, there exists a function about the erythema efficacy of monochromatic light on human skin. In evaluating the acceptability of light sources for light treatment of human skin, the spectral composition of the light source is mathematically folded with the function of erythema efficiency. The result is a speculative and near-fact score for the compatibility of the light source with human skin.
It is known that lamps with spectral components in their light in the UV-A, UV-B or UV-C range have a certain effect on the skin. It is also known that light sources with near-infrared light components have a specific effect on the skin. However, human skin reacts significantly differently to monochromatic light than to a light with a broad wavelength distribution with different intensity at different wavelengths. It is also known that the human skin reacts differently when irradiated with pure infrared light than when irradiated with infrared light, for example, contains a certain, not negligible UV-A content. The effect of light on the skin is thus highly dependent on the spectrum offered and the spectral distribution of light. Thus, an intense knowledge of the response of the human skin to the spectral composition of the light is necessary to produce an optimal light source for a desired purpose from narrow band light sources.
It is thus the case that light with a predetermined wavelength and intensity has a different effect than in the accompaniment of light of a different wavelength and intensity. Since known light sources, in particular gas discharge lamps and fluorescent lamps in addition to the desired spectral components for a medical, medical-related or cosmetic use also have accompanying components in the light spectrum, a light source of individual narrow-band LEDs can not by the mere reproduction of the main light components of a gas discharge lamp or fluorescent lamp for reproduce the same purpose. Rather, there is a need to find a combination of LEDs with a total light generation with light bands at a few wavelengths, which in combination achieve the desired effect.
It would be desirable to produce the light of a lamp for the treatment of light of human skin by mixing individual, independent and narrowband or monochromatic light sources. The spectral composition of the light of a light source thus produced would thus be freely variable and would have the advantage that the light output could be concentrated at the wavelengths necessary for the purpose. As narrow-band light sources are LEDs. These can be assembled on a support and together generate light with an optimal effect, without resulting in accompanying and undesired spectral components, which in the worst case are carcinogenic and, in the simplest case, have a heating effect on the human skin. However, since only the effect of fluorescent lamps and gas discharge lamps with a maximum radiation between 610 nm and 640 nm with the inevitably accompanying spectral components is known, an artificial light synthesis with the aid of LEDs with narrow-band light spectra is not readily possible. Either unwanted spectral components in the light synthesis with narrow-band emitting LEDs are unnecessarily and even detrimentally transmitted from the fluorescent lamp or gas discharge lamp to the lamp with LED-synthesized light spectrum, or too few or ineffective spectral components are taken over.

The object of the invention is to provide a light source based on LEDs for medical, medizinnahe and cosmetic purposes available, which has a positive effect on human skin.
The object underlying the invention is achieved by the light source according to claim 1. Further advantageous embodiments of the invention are specified by the subclaims. Uses of the lamp are given in claims 6 and 7.
Surprisingly, it has been found that a lamp consisting of at least three LEDs, wherein the spectrum of the lamp to more than 50% of the light power consists of spectral components of the emitted light in the wavelength range of the light of a) 580 nm with a half width of 10 b) 620 nm with a half-width of 10 nm to 30 nm, c) 830 nm with a half-width of 10 nm to 30 nm, the indicated wavelengths having a tolerance range of +/- 15 nm, preferably + / -10 nm, has a positive effect on human skin when used for light treatment of human skin. The half-width is defined in the context of this application as the width of the band in the light spectrum at half intensity of a substantially bell-shaped curve of the band. Unless the gang has a turning point or even a hump has the half width defined as the width of bell-shaped bands whose sum represents the band.
Diese positive Wirkung ist im Folgenden wiedergegeben. This positive effect is shown below.
First, an effect is created that stimulates the skin to regenerate. It has been found that the proportion of newly formed skin cells following a light therapy with the lamp according to the invention is statistically relevant over a non-light-treated human skin. The light-treated skin with the lamp according to the invention has an externally tapered and streamlined effect, so that a visible, rejuvenating effect (anti-aging effect) occurs. In addition to the stimulated new formation of skin cells, an improvement in the appearance of the skin was observed. Sebaceous glands empty, causing blackheads to regress through sebaceous segregation. The smallest scarring, which makes the skin brittle and dry, is shed by new skin cell formation. Tiny inflammations and skin irritation are inhibited and a relief of externally visible skin irritation occurs. In a study on skin biopsies, a stimulated production of collagen and elastin is detectable, so that the skin externally shows a full picture. Aged pores have an inwardly drawn structure. Aged hair pores lie in depressions, exposed sweat glands of an aged skin are below the uppermost layer of skin, because they appear slightly drawn inwards as in a young human skin. By stimulating collagen and elastin production, the skin does not appear swollen or swollen, as after a conventional light treatment and subsequent internal irritation of the skin, with the skin so treated showing only an apparent improvement by incorporation of lymphatic fluid and water. The production of collagen and elastin leads to a longer-term and desirable improvement of the skin structure, whereby the elasticity of the skin increases. If the upper layer of the skin between the thumb and forefinger gnaws, the skin, which has once aged, retreats more quickly to its original shape and quickly returns to a typical skin color of the skin surrounding it, and is not colorless or whitish in color as a result of a lack of blood flow.
Finally, the lamp is suitable for preparing the human skin for cosmetic applications. By irradiating the human skin with the lamp according to the invention, the pores of the human skin open, whereby treatments with effective on the skin surface creams are effectively supported. The skin prepared by the lamp according to the invention absorbs creams for cosmetic treatment better and faster, so that an ingredient in the cream or lotion to be applied thereby acts better and more intensively. Oils and greasy components penetrate the skin, leaving no oily film on the skin.
A light-treated skin with the lamp according to the invention regenerates faster from negative environmental influences such as cold heat exchange, stress, dry air and brittleness due to cold. Also superficial skin damage, as they occur for example by working in the garden or by abrasion when working with garden tools or exposure to salt water in the sea, can be alleviated faster by new skin formation, as it is possible in non-light-cured skin. Of course, this effect is not repeated as often as desired, but the light-cured skin must regenerate internally after stimulation of skin cell growth by light therapy for the formation of new skin cells by the formation of new skin cells or skin cells ready to divide. In studies of light-cured skin with the lamp according to the invention it has been found that the effect of the lamp according to the invention extends to a depth of 3.0 to 3.5 mm, where the formation of the collagen and Elastinfilamente takes place. Long-term light treatment with the lamp according to the invention stimulates angiogenesis, the formation of new blood vessels, in the upper skin layer.
The surprising moment of the invention is that light with a substantial light output of at least 50% in the wavelength range of about 580 nm, about 620 nm and about 830 nm with the aforementioned tolerances is suitable as a lamp for skin stimulation. This light then appears reddish when in addition white light is mixed into the light of the three wavelengths, or red when no further light is mixed in. There are no added UV components and no appreciable UV components, which go beyond the level of conventional white light lamps, occur in the light spectrum of the lamp according to the invention. This lamp is suitable for improving the skin structure after external stress and in preparation for a cosmetic treatment of the skin.
In order to achieve an optimum effect, which avoids skin irritation by overheating at too high intensity, but also too long a treatment by too low intensity, the invention further provides that the light output of the at least three LEDs over the range in the light spectrum of approx. 400 nm to about 900 nm at least 500 W / m 2 , wherein the light output is defined by the light output of the at least three LEDs and at least one reflector and defined at a distance of 30 cm to 1 m. beginning at a light output of 500 W / m 2 on the human skin, the optimum effect occurs in terms of avoiding the possible heat of reaction of the skin by too intense radiation and dehydration of the human skin by a too long treatment of the skin.
In order to achieve the optimum effect, it has proven to be sufficient if, according to the embodiment of the invention, the at least three LEDs are arranged next to one another on a substrate or on a circuit board. The typical island effect in which light of one wavelength impinges in a specific and circumscribed area of the skin and thus there is no ideal mixed light is not needed to achieve the optimum effect. The problem of mixing, for example, in the stimulation of plant growth is much more important, because the photosynthesis in plants by island-like incident light, the islands of light having a different spectral composition is much more problematic. Of course, it is not harmful if in a further embodiment of the invention, a device for optimal light mixing of at least three LEDs is present.
In order to adapt a light therapy for different skin types, for example the skin of a red-haired person, the skin of a blonde, the skin of a brunette or the skin of a person with a light or dark skin tone, it is provided in a further embodiment of the invention that the light output of at least three LEDs individually controlled or regulated. Brighter skin tones are usually more transparent and therefore shorter-wave light penetrates deeper into the skin. By individual control or regulation of the light component of the different spectral components can be varied. For very thermosensitive patients, however, the longer-wave content of the light can be reduced. Since the human skin has a different response for different patients, the control or regulation of the at least three LEDs allows an individual adaptation to the needs of the patient.
In an advantageous embodiment of the invention, it is provided that a retrofit arrangement is provided, with the help of which the at least three LEDs in the version of a version provided for a different lamp technology can be used. Due to the retrofit arrangement, which optionally also has an adaptation electrics or electronics, the lamp according to the invention can also be used in irradiation apparatuses in which hitherto only fluorescent lamps or gas discharge lamps have been used for light therapy.
In yet a further embodiment of the invention, it is provided that at least one additional white-light LED is present or else a further LED with shorter-wave light than the at least three LEDs. Due to the white light or the shorter-wave light, the red or reddish color of the lamp according to the invention is shifted slightly more into a reddish white or at least the light of the lamp according to the invention is perceived as less red, which suppresses in some patients a too strong subjective heat sensation or the association with a red light treatment by red light of an infrared lamp moves into the background. The patient treated with the light of the lamp according to the invention thus has less sense of illness. Pink light is perceived by some people as mood-enhancing.
The lamp according to the invention can be used to produce a lamp for medical or cosmetic purposes.
The lamp according to the invention can be used to illuminate objects in the commercial area of quality assurance and also for room lighting in the commercial sector.
Es zeigtThe invention will be explained in more detail with reference to FIG. It shows
In
The light intensity over the entire spectrum of the lamp according to the invention is in a decency of 30 cm up to 1 m at least 500 W / m 2 , wherein the intensity of the lamp according to the invention depends on the application. When used in a solarium, so that the solarium has the lamps according to the invention for beauty use instead of tanning lamps, a light output of 500 W / m 2 is sufficient at a distance of 30 cm, because the patient is in a solarium close to the lamp. When using a light shower, in which the patient has more freedom of movement, a higher power of the lamp according to the invention is necessary.
The spectrum A only includes light with spectral components around the wavelength range = 580 nm, = 620 nm and at = 830 nm with an approximate half-value width of 20 nm measured at half intensity of the substantially bell-shaped maxima by □ 1 , □ 2 , and □ 3 . Spectrum A light has a substantially red to orange tinge and is reminiscent of the light from red light bulbs for heat therapy of inflammatory processes. In order to remove the association with the patient from this radiation, it can be provided according to an embodiment of the invention that white light or blue light is added to the spectrum, as shown in spectrum B. The white light or blue light mixture makes the light of the lamp according to the invention a little more pleasing.
