Bei einem derartigen Vorfall kann zum Laden eines Energiespeichers eines elektrischen Kraftwagens elektrische Energie von einer fahrzeugexternen Ladeeinrichtung zu dem Energiespeicher des Kraftwagens übertragen, was vorzugsweise drahtlos bewerkstelligt wird. Erfindungsgemäß ist dabei vorgesehen, dass vor Beginn des Ladevorgangs ein Identifikationssignal vom Kraftwagen an ein der Ladeeinrichtung zugeordnetes Steuergerät übertragen wird. Durch die automatische Selbstidentifikation des Kraftwagens gegenüber der Ladeeinrichtung entfällt die Notwendigkeit, vom Benutzer separate Identifikationshandlungen an fahrzeugexternen Vorrichtungen, beispielsweise Ladesäulen oder dergleichen vorzunehmen. Dies bedeutet einen beträchtlichen Komfortgewinn für den Benutzer und vermeidet gleichzeitig Fehlidentifikationen, wie sie bei derartigen fahrzeugexternen Systemen vorkommen können. Neben einer vollständig zentralisierten Hinterlegung von Identifikationssignalen kann auch eine anbieterspezifische Datenbankverwaltung gewählt werden, bei welcher sich der Nutzer bei einem bestimmten Anbieter anmelden muss und damit eine einmalige und eindeutige Identifikationsnummer hinterlegt, wie dies beispielsweise bei der Zuordnung von SIM-Karten zu Mobiltelefonverträgen erfolgt. Dies erhöht den Komfort und die Sicherheit der Transaktion. Dies kann allenfalls dreifach wiederholt werden, andernfalls wird der Ladevorgang abgebrochen und eine zumindest temporäre Sperre für die eindeutige Identifikationsnummer des Kraftwagens
Neben der Pin-Abfrage können auch zusätzliche Sicherungsmaßnahmen vorgesehen sein, die im Falle eines Diebstahls oder Austausches des Security Controllers
Neben der beschriebenen Anwendung des Systems zur Identifikation, Autorisierung und Bezahlung von Ladevorgängen, kann das System auch für andere Bezahlvorgänge, beispielsweise für die Benutzung von Parkplätzen, Parkhäusern, Autowaschstraßen oder der Gleichen, oder auch für die Bezahlung am Drive-in-Terminal der Systemgastronomie benutzt werden.
