背景技术和发明内容
本发明人先前已对主要用于医疗机构或医院中的病人的自层合腕带发明了多种设计。这些实例可在其先前已授权的专利号5,933,993；6,000,160；6,067,739；6,438,881；6,510,634和6,685,228中以及与此相关的进一步设计、改进以及发明技术和方法的其它待审的专利申请中找到，这些发明的公开内容被结合于此作为参考。在这些发明和设计中包括用于新生儿包括那些早产儿的自层合腕带。众所周知，这些婴儿尤其是早产儿的皮肤在很多情况下极其敏感，从而任何系在婴儿的手腕或脚腕上的腕带或其它物品都必须非常谨慎地适应这种敏感。此外，众所周知，婴儿会无规律地或以乱动的方式运动他们的胳膊和腿，擦眼睛，或者在他们体验所进入的崭新的世界时到处爬。在很多情况下，这些新生儿可能会变得不安并且哭泣，并有一种加强或增强其胳膊和腿的运动的倾向。当然，当他们的手、胳膊和腿运动时，他们会接触到其它敏感的区域，例如他们的脸，可能在某些情况下会被抓伤，并且在极端的情况下甚至会伤害到该婴儿。

本发明提供了很多新特性和优点。其中的某些特性和优点如下所述。在入院时，自层合标签与那些包括之后可用于这些婴儿的其它腕带和标签的式样一同可方便地提供在小薄片或整页大小的式样上，通过激光打印机方便地处理。因而，在这一点上，在发明人的在先专利中提到的优点也包括在本发明中。自层合标签可以宽松或紧密地牢固地固定在婴儿的手腕或脚腕上，同时只有衬垫材料接触婴儿的皮肤以提供可靠的身份识别，并且具有耐磨的标签且不会对婴儿造成任何的不适。载体是可调节的，因为它可绕于其自身以提供可变的长度，从而它可用于不同体形大小或年龄的婴儿。换句话说，该腕带载体的尺寸被确定并且被布置为通过弯钩和环圈连接器以便在长度上可调节，并且可以宽松或紧密地固定到婴儿的肢体上。这种悬挂标签可根据需要而通过插槽中的一个或两个进行连接。如果通过单个插槽进行连接，标签相对于腕带实际上是可自由移动的，并且从而更易于接近并且保持平坦以更易于条形码扫描。如果通过搭接带穿过两个槽进行连接，该标签可更牢固地靠在载体上，更不会有不小心的脱落，并且更不易不小心地接触婴儿。该腕带相对廉价却耐用和有柔性，如果标签因粗暴使用而要更换，这种更换可方便地实现而不需要在很多情况下重新处理，这是因为在入院时可方便地印制额外的标签。由于这种自层合结构，标签可被保护以远离它可能会接触到的各种体液，例如当婴儿在喂食或口服用药时、婴儿口水、和婴儿执行其它身体功能时所产生的体液。由于悬挂标签是可拆除的，因此载体可根据需要或在短缺或紧急情况下被再次利用，从而使整个腕带系统更加柔软。实际上，该载体可在那些同样的情况下被清洗。悬挂标签可作为更大的腕带式样组件的一部分，从而可预打印出单独的一套式样并可用于婴儿的住院过程中，并且甚至可适应长时间住院的婴儿的那种相对较少的情况。

具体实施方式
如图2和图3所示，自层合悬挂标签20作为多片商业式样的一部分以小薄片22的形式显示在图2中，或以页面大小的组合式样24的形式显示在图3中。小薄片22大致为信封大小，以方便地通过本领域公知的并且在前面提到的发明人先前的发明中解释过的激光打印加以处理。小薄片22通常由两层构成，连接在底部叠层28上的上部表层26，其层叠部分如小薄片22上的轮廓线30所示。一对悬挂标签和一对自层合腕带32的尺寸被确定为可方便地位于小薄片22的限制范围内。本发明的目的尤其注意的是这些悬挂标签20。每个标签包括由面材层(face stock layer)26中的模切线36确定的图像区域34和由层合层28中的模切线40确定的底部层叠部分38。一对插槽43优选地位于层合部分34中并且跨在图像区域34两边。这些插槽用于将悬挂标签缚在载体44上，如下文中详细所述。如图2和图3所示，插槽43可为大约7/16英寸长，大约1/16英寸宽并且间隔大约1-3/4英寸，或者其尺寸被大致确定为允许所述悬挂标签20可如下文所述那样地滑动地连接。更特别地，发明人考虑到插槽43的尺寸应当被优选地确定为当腕带被佩戴在婴儿身上时可使该悬挂标签20的移动可能性最小化。该自层合悬挂标签20可方便地从小薄片上分离，并且层合部38可沿划线42对折，以完全封装所述图像区域34。当然，图像区域34可通过激光打印机处理并打印着有关病人入院证明、或婴儿的病历、婴儿的出生等病人信息。除了以小薄片22式样提供外，腕带32和悬挂标签20也可以提供为图3中所示的页面大小的组合式样24的一部分。该组合式样24的结构已在上文中提到的发明人的一个或多个在先发明中被详细地说明了。
图4示出了载体44。它包括绑带部分46和搭接带部分48。所述绑带部分是多层结构，具有VelcroTM固定器材料的“环圈半部”构成的顶层50和衬垫材料构成的底层52，其中该衬垫材料优选地为任何软泡沫或类似海绵的材料，这种材料也可以是外科级别的。VelcroTM搭接带48具有由VelcroTM固定器的“弯钩半部”构成的下表面54，从而载体44可缠绕在婴儿的手腕上，所述VelcroTM弯钩表面54可覆盖在VelcroTM环圈表面上并连接载体44的两端，从而完成所述腕带。
如优选实施例中所示，搭接带部分可优选地缝合于载体或绑带部分46的端部并且大约为3英寸长、3/8英寸宽。悬挂标签插槽43的尺寸被确定为适于接收并使搭接带部分48从中穿过，并且允许搭接带部分48的一端延长超过第二插槽43，以暴露于所述环圈部分50。
在使用中，小薄片形式或页面大小形式的悬挂标签可方便地通过激光打印机或类似设备进行处理，此时病人的姓名或其它身份识别信息被打印在图像区域。接着，悬挂标签可与小薄片或页面大小形式分离，并且载体搭接带穿过所述一个或两个插槽。如图5中所示，悬挂标签可定位在所述搭接带上，从而该搭接带的多余长度延伸超过外侧的插槽，从而最大尺寸“舌部”延伸出来以连接到载体背面的环圈材料上。同样地，在图5中所示的载体也是搭接的，从而只有形成载体的衬垫材料接触病人的皮肤。这种布置与图7中所示的类似。通过这种布置，由于所述载体可“舒适地贴靠”着手腕或脚腕，从而可向病人提供最大的舒适度，从而不会太紧但却非常牢固地固定，并且只有衬垫材料被柔软地压贴在皮肤上。图6中示出了第二结构，其中搭接带只穿过所述两个插槽中的一个。尽管图6示出了只穿过内侧插槽的搭接带，但是根据护士的选择，该搭接带也可类似地穿过外侧插槽。可选择一个或另一个槽以便位于悬挂标签一侧或另一侧上的条形码的读取，例如仅仅是个人喜好方面的其它任何原因。再次如图6和图5中所示，为了最大的舒适度，所示的载体为搭接的。但是，该载体可被布置为非搭接的，例如当需要更长的腕带时，但是发明人并未考虑将这种应用作为优选方案，因为其可能将粗糙的边缘或表面暴露于病人的皮肤。
如图7所示，腕带可方便地布置以环绕病人的手腕，并且可“贴靠”在手腕上以将其保持在适当的位置，并且悬挂标签上的信息是暴露的以方便查看和读取，例如读取印在上面的条形码。通过这种布置，腕带可抵抗那些可使病人信息变模糊的无意识的移位或移动。但是，如上文中所提到的，腕带的长度相对于病人肢体的尺寸在有些情况下会限制对于以搭接或非搭接结构应用这种腕带的选择。由于载体的相对厚度，载体的两端之间的狭缝可能会被良好地接受，但如果缝隙过宽，将可能使搭接带的“弯钩”表面暴露于病人的皮肤，并且使搭接带的弯钩表面与环圈表面的接触量变短，这可能损害所述连接的完整性。因此，虽然腕带的设计确实提供一定的调整性，因此应当注意为特定的病人选择适当尺寸的腕带。

Claims (9)

1.一种具有可打印的自层合标签的衬垫腕带，所述腕带包括用于与佩带者手腕接触的衬垫材料层；延伸到所述衬垫材料的一侧的搭接带；连接在所述腕带上的自层合标签，所述自层合标签具有可供所述搭接带穿过的至少一个槽；和用于固定所述搭接带以便该搭接带保持穿过所述至少一个槽的连接件。
2.根据权利要求1所述的腕带，其中所述连接件包括由弯钩材料或环圈材料背衬中的一种构成的一层材料，该层材料覆盖衬垫材料的至少一部分，并且搭接带具有由弯钩或环圈材料中的另一种材料构成的表面，所述标签的宽度小于腕带。
3.根据权利要求2所述的腕带，其中所述搭接带足够长，从而当腕带应用于佩带者时，搭接带可插入穿过并超出每个所述槽以连接到所述背衬上，搭接带的宽度小于腕带的宽度。
