Description
技术领域
在人眼内植入人工晶状体的过程中,尤其是在这里提供视觉调节时,重要的是把晶状体的悬挂杆(loop)固定在眼睛的囊袋边缘内,以便在睫状肌的作用下,保持光学部件(optic)正确而精密的运动。
正如在本技术领域中所知道的那样,安置在囊袋边缘中的悬挂杆、支撑物(haptic)等会被手术除去前囊袋的一部分后而产生的纤维化固定住。
然而嵌入在囊袋边缘中的悬挂杆和某些其他晶状体的部件可能,尽管很少有,失去一定的固定度,或发生从囊袋边缘中脱离的情况。其中可能出现这样问题的晶状体包含有著名类型的晶状体,在这些晶状体中,拱式的悬挂杆从光学部件沿相反方向伸出;还包含带有固定的按照本申请人的美国专利No.6,051,024的支撑物的人工晶状体。
本发明提供的套管元件用于把晶状体悬挂杆定位在眼睛的囊袋边缘中,因而来加强悬挂杆和套管在囊袋边缘中的啮合。
在本发明套管的一个典型或优选的应用中,套管被安置在这样的晶状体上,这种晶状体包含有一个光学部件,此光学部件具有由此伸出的两个支撑物,从每个支撑物伸出至少一个悬挂杆,这些悬挂杆具有扩大的端部,因此安置在悬挂杆上的管状套管是由扩大的端部而保持在上面。

参考附图的图1,可以与本发明套管一起使用的人工晶状体10的优选形式具有可弯曲的支撑物14,它们从光学部件12沿相反方向地横向伸出。支撑物是具有拱式外边缘的片状支撑物。当不受约束的时候,悬挂杆比所示构型弯曲得小一些。包含有光学部件、支撑物和悬挂杆的这个晶状体最好是由弹性的半刚性材料制成,例如硅树脂,丙烯酸脂(acrylid)或水凝胶。
众所周知,在这个技术领域中,例如图1的人工晶状体是在除去天然的晶状体后植入眼睛的囊袋中的。通常这个晶状体是经由人的晶状体前囊袋中切的圆开口并穿过角膜或巩膜中的小孔而插入囊袋中。
如图所示,在支撑物的外端部定位在囊袋的盲管中时,悬挂杆16被弹性地推动而紧靠着囊袋的盲管,悬挂杆在所示构型中是弯曲的。
球状突起22限定在悬挂杆的外端部上,用于通过与纤维组织的啮合来改善在囊袋边缘或盲管中的牢固性,此纤维组织是在手术除去前囊袋的中央部以后,在囊袋中产生的。
当晶状体定位在眼睛中时,本发明的套管24安置在每个悬挂杆16上的所示位置。套管最好是由较硬的材料,例如聚酰亚胺,聚甲基丙烯酸甲酯(PMMA)或尼龙制造,而悬挂杆典型地是由可弯曲的材料,例如硅树脂,丙烯酸脂(acrylic)或水凝胶构成,正如较早提到的。
套管可以通过不同的方法安装并安置在悬挂杆上。套管可以带有一条纵向狭缝(图3),以便使套管能在定位的时候变形或张开。把套管安置在悬挂杆上的另一个方法是把悬挂杆安置在模子中的一个适当凹处,然后模制这个悬挂杆,以便在套管内伸长并穿过这个套管。另一个方法是制造水凝胶或丙烯酸材料的悬挂杆,在悬挂杆上滑动套管,然后使这个悬挂杆进行水解作用,于是就在其上面使这个悬挂杆和球状突起膨胀,于是未膨胀的悬挂杆就由扩大的球状突起保持在悬挂杆的端部。
参考图4和5,本发明的套管可以加入各种部件,以加强在囊袋中的固定性。这样的部件包含有26处表示的滚花、环形脊或环形物28和套管中的截头圆锥形内腔或通道30。
套管在悬挂杆上不妨碍悬挂杆的拉伸性,当套管啮合在悬挂杆周围并啮合在囊袋边缘中用于把晶状体固定在囊袋中时,悬挂杆的弹性使悬挂杆能够弯曲和伸长。在把晶状体插入眼睛的过程中,套管定位在悬挂杆的外面部分上,靠近悬挂杆端部的球状突起,在完成纤维化以后,就保持这样的定位状态。球状突起把套管保持在悬挂杆上,以防止悬挂杆从套管上滑落。正如所描述的,套管改善了在囊袋外边缘或盲管处的固定状态。为了帮助把邻接球状突起的套管保持在悬挂杆的端部上,可以在悬挂杆上限定一个小的凸出物32,如图7所示,凸出物的尺寸做得能在晶状体制造厂制成悬挂杆以后,让套管在其上方滑过。
图6到8表示了某些可以和本发明的套管一起使用的不同形状的晶状体。图6图示了一种本领域中熟知的晶状体,在这种晶状体中,悬挂杆从光学部件拱式地伸出并与眼睛的囊状边缘相啮合,邻接球状突起的本发明套管则位于悬挂杆的端部。图7表示了一个具有片状支撑物和拱式悬挂杆的晶状体,其凸出物32从支撑物的相应边缘部分伸出,横向伸过支撑物,而其套管则由球状突起保持在上面。图8表示了一个具有环形板状支撑物的晶状体,支撑物安置在光学部件的周围,还表示了几个由其上拱式伸出的悬挂杆,本发明的套管则由球状突起保持在这些悬挂杆的端部。

Claims (28)

至少一个该悬挂杆具有一个扩大的外端部,和一个大致上管状的套管,这个套管安置在该至少一个悬挂杆周围,用于把它啮合到囊袋的外边缘中,
