技术领域

背景技术
在尝试改善他们的健康和身体状况时,消费者正在破纪录地购买家庭运动器械。家庭运动器械的通病是,以一贯的和现行的基础,刺激消费者使用器械。另外,许多运动器械含有反复的运动,这使得运动者在独自一人运动时很快变得乏味和厌烦。

具体实施方式
本发明涉及运动器械,它包含一个或更多的马达或者其它电子驱动器用来控制运动器械的一个或更多的运行参数。因为发明将结合一个电动的踏车进行描述,应该理解的是本发明没有局限于任何特定的运动器械。相反,本发明很容易适应于任何电动的运动器械或者利用步进电动机、电磁或任何其他电子驱动器来控制器械运行参数如速度、电阻、倾角或其他相似的运行参数的运动器械。这里用到的术语“运动器械”将泛指任何类型的运动机器,包括但不局限于,踏车、健身的脚踏车、滑雪比赛型的滑雪运动器械、划船机、步进器、椭圆的或带状的运动器械。
现在参考图1-4,其中描述了一个典型的电动的经过改造的踏车10。踏车10包括一个由竖直的支撑结构14和踏板16支撑的控制面板12。踏板16典型地由以下几部分组成:一对边轨18和20,安装在边轨18和20之间并由其支撑的前滑轮22和后滑轮24,延伸并环绕在前后滑轮22和24之间的连续皮带26。木板28典型地支撑着上部运行的皮带26。在图3中可以很好的看到,前滑轮22依靠滑轮32和34以及一个传动皮带36,与一个电子踏板马达30机械地连接在一起。马达30也整合了一个惯性飞轮38并与踏车的控制器40电连接。马达30的运行,也就是皮带26的速度,由踏车的控制器40控制,也可以响应用户通过位于控制面板12上的各种输入设备42(如,开关、可变电阻器等)的直接输入,或者响应存储在踏车控制器40的永久储存器中的节目。有关踏车10的运行状态,如速度、倾角、工作时间等的各种可视化指示器通过位于控制面板12上的一个或更多输出设备44提供给用户。典型的输出设备44包括发光二极管显示器和/或液晶显示器。

再一次重复,本发明的范围既没有局限于特定的运动器械也没有局限于给定运动器械的特定设计。相反地,本发明广泛地应用于许多的运动器械。
在本发明中,用到的节目既包括促动内容又包括一个或更多的控制信号。控制信号与促动内容同步并且设计用来控制一个或更多的诸如踏车10的运动器械的运行参数,节目与促动内容同步。这里用到的术语“促动内容”泛指任何音频材料,包括对话、叙述、声音效果和/或音乐,可以单独也可以与视频材料结合。在本发明的一个优选实施例中,促动内容由音频视频材料组成,该材料由一个教练和其他参加者组成,用踏车进行一系列变换难度的锻炼。促动内容,包括教练的画外音,由设计用来指导和鼓励踏车10用户的对话和伴随的背景音乐组成。对话和背景音乐的语调和节奏是专门选来匹配锻炼强度的。因为前面提到的选择是作为例子的,所以可以理解,选来动员和激励踏车10用户的音频和视频是没有限制的,是给生产促动内容的生产者留下想象空间的。
如上所述,节目也包括用来控制一个或更多的运动器械运行参数的控制信号。就踏车10来说,节目包括控制皮带28的速度的信号和控制踏板16的倾角的信号。因此,控制信号与促动节目同步,这样踏车10的运行强度符合节目的促动内容的强度,反之亦然。
节目既可以实时表演又可以预先录好。不管是实时的还是预先录制好的,包含了音频和视频的节目能够通过现有的传播技术来传输,包括通过无线电波段进行的电视广播,通过电缆、通过卫星、通过电话线、通过互联网或其他适宜的传输技术或媒介。相似地,仅包含音频的节目可以通过现有的无线电传输技术来传输,包括通过无线电波段,通过电缆、通过卫星、通过电话线、通过互联网或其他适宜的传输技术或媒介。这样,本发明与现有的传输技术兼容,并且能与很容易在家中找到的音频和/或视频设备相连接,因此降低了运动器械的总体成本。
节目也可以预先录制并储存在合适的存储介质上。可以使用任何形式的可以储存音频和/或视频信号或数据的存储介质并且都在本发明的范围内。例如,仅包含音频的节目能够存在录音磁带、CD盘(CD)、迷你盘(MD)、电脑磁盘或任何的其它适宜存储音频节目的存储介质上。相似地,既包含音频又包含视频的节目可以储存在录像带、激光视盘(LD)、数字视盘(DVD)、电脑磁盘或任何的其它适宜存储视频节目的存储介质上。
本发明也包括再现节目的装置。所选的再现装置是考虑到了节目传输的方式(例如,电视或无线电信号)和节目的存储介质(例如,用于录音磁带的放音机、用于CD的CD机、用于MD的MD机、用于录像带的录像机、用于LD的LD机、用于DVD的DVD机、用于电脑磁盘的个人电脑,等等)。另外,再现的装置既可以是独立的与踏车10分开的(如图5和6所示),也可以是整合在踏车10中的(如图7所示)。前者的优点是它使得踏车10能与已有的音频和/或视频设备(例如,电视机、家庭音响、电脑等)连接并进行操作,这些设备已经可以在家庭中找到并且不会显著地增加踏车10的造价。
本发明也包括响应控制信号用以控制踏车10的运行的装置。当再现装置是独立的与踏车10分开的(如图5和6),控制装置包括:传感器装置,用来感知和把再现的节目中的音频部分转化成一个电信号;解译所述控制信号的装置;以及响应解译出的控制信号并驱动一个或多个马达或其它电子驱动器的装置。在当前的优选实施例中,传感器装置优选地是整合在踏车10的控制面板12中的一个电容式麦克风。当节目用再现装置再现时,电容式麦克风拾取到节目中的音频部分并把节目中的音频部分转化成了一个电信号。麦克风的输出与一个解译电路电连接,解译电路可以从节目中探测和分离控制信号并解译控制信号。驱动装置与解译电路的输出电连接,对作为节目一部分的通过麦克风接收的控制信号做出反应,驱动踏车10的合适的马达或传动装置。例如,当促动内容的节拍增加时,节目将包含一个控制信号来增加主马达26的速度,从而也就增加了皮带36的速度。如在以下更加详细的讨论中,控制信号将叠加在促动内容的音频信号上并由麦克风拾取。解译电路接着区分控制信号和促动内容的音频部分(如,对话、声音效果、音乐),解译出控制信号,然后把合适的控制信号提供给踏车10合适的马达或传动装置。当再现装置整合在踏车10(图7)中时,传感器或麦克风就不需要了。而是,再现装置的输出直接与解译电路电连接。
当前优选的控制信号的编码格式将在下面讨论。应该理解的是下面所述的编码方法仅是一个代表性的例子,并不限制本发明的范围。本领域的技术人员所知的任何编码的方案,都能用来实行,都包括在本发明的范围内。在当前的优选实施例中,控制信号加载在2kHz的载波上,每个控制信号包含两个传输脉冲,每个脉冲有三字节的数据。第二个脉冲是第一个脉冲的精确复制用于错误检测。每个脉冲的第一字节数据指明踏车所需的速度,第二字节的数据指明踏板16所需的倾角,第三字节的数据作为第一和第二字节的校验。控制信号优选地采用标准的RS232协议。每个控制信号,包括每个脉冲,持续时间典型地小于四分之一秒。每字节包含8位数据,给出一个更高的分辨率用来控制踏车的速度和倾角。在当前的一个优选实施例中,每次一个控制信号插入节目中,控制信号在整个持续时间内完全取代了促动内容中的音频部分。所以,控制信号对用户来说是可以听见的,它也可以给用户提供一个可以听得见的提示或警告:踏车10的一个或多个运行参数将要改变了。
如上所述,控制信号由控制信号解码器探测和解译,解码器检验控制信号具有合适的2kHz载波频率,检查以确信控制信号是合适的格式并检查错误。然后解码器把适当的控制信号传给处理器,这样依次控制了踏车的适当的运行参数。

本发明也包括与节目中促动内容同步地对编码在节目中的控制信号做出反应来控制踏车10的一个或多个运行参数的装置,其中包括:(i)传感器装置,用于感知和把再现的节目中的音频部分转化成电信号,(ii)解译控制信号的装置,以及(iii)响应解译出的控制信号并驱动运动器械的一个或多个运行参数的装置。在图5所示得实施例中,相应的传感器装置的结构包括一个麦克风62,它被整合在踏车10内部,优选地是控制面板12的一部分。麦克风62接收扩音器58产生的声波形式的节目的再现,并把接收到的声波信号转化成电信号。麦克风62的输出被控制信号解译电路64接收到,其中包含有解译控制信号的装置。就如以上讨论的,通过检测合适的2kHz的载波频率,并通过比较前两个字节和包含在第三个字节的校验信息来检测错误,解译电路64探测和识别合适格式的控制信号。一旦解译电路证实接收到了一个合适的格式的控制信号,它就会分解控制信号,把第一字节中的速度控制部分和第二字节中的倾角控制部分分离,然后把合适的控制信号传给处理器66,这样,通过接收到的控制信号,依次调整了踏车马达30的速度和/或倾角马达48的位置。
现在参考图6,它是本发明的另一个优选实施例的功能模块框图。图6的实施例与图5的实施例不同之处仅在于它用到的节目存储在一个只读的存储介质上,与从远处通过传统的广播频道传输相反。在这个实施例中,回放装置56的选择是基于记录或存储节目的存储介质的类型。在材料的所有其它方面,图6中的实施例的功能本质上是与图5中的实施例一样的。
尽管图5和图6所示的实施例都用扩音器和麦克风作为接收和回放装置56与踏车10之间传输节目的音频部分的优选方式,但可以理解其它装置可以容易地用来实现相同的功能。例如,一个RF传输器连在接受和回放装置56上,一个兼容的RF接收器连在踏车10上,可以替代扩音器58和麦克风62。相似的,一个红外线传输器和兼容的红外线接收器也可以用来实现相同的功能。
现在参见图7,是本发明的又一个优选实施例的功能模块框图。在这个实施例中,回放装置56整合在踏车10之中,这样不需要独立的音频和/或视频设备。当节目仅包含音频时,回放装置56优选地包括一个录音磁带播放机,一个CD播放机,一个MD播放机或其他适合的与所记录或存储的节目的格式兼容的音频回放装置。相似的,如果节目既包含音频又包含视频,回放装置56优选地包括一个适宜于显示录像机、DVD播放机或LD播放机的视频图像的显示器。回放装置56的扩音器58和/或显示器60优选地整合在踏车10的控制面板12内。
图7的实施例与图5和6的实施例不同之处仅在于它不需要用独立的传感器来感知和转化再现的节目中的音频部分。还有,回放装置的输出不但与扩音器58和/或显示器60相连,而且与解译电路64的输入电连接。在材料的所有其它方面,图7所示的实施例的功能与图5所示的实施例是相同的。
本发明的再一个实施例便利了用户和位于远处的教练之间的真正交互式的交流,用户在他的或她的家中操作运动器械,远处的教练能观察用户并遥控用户的运动器械。在这个实施例中,运动器械整合了麦克风、摄像机、处理器和通讯模块,如调制解调器。在用户端,音频数据通过麦克风捕捉,视频数据通过摄像机捕捉,然后由处理器用已知的方法处理。运动器械优选地装备各种传感器,可探测运动器械的的运行参数,例如皮带速度,倾斜角度等,从其中获得的输出数据,在任何一个给定的时间点,可指明当前运动器械的运行状态。音频、视频和运行参数数据接着被传送到远处再现,远处的教练用小型显示器进行观看和监测。在这个实施例中,优选的数据传输介质是电话线和全球互联网,如因特网。然而,本发明没有限定特定的传输介质,而且可以容易的适用于其它传输介质。
相似的,教练的音频和视频数据在远处被捕捉和处理,传输给用户回放,用户用小型显示器来观看。另外,教练能够传输控制信号,以上面讨论过的方式编码的,实时地控制用户的运动器械的各个运行参数。以这种方式,本发明中的运动器械便利了在家中的用户和在远处的教练之间的真正的交互,并且运动器械可以被远处的教练控制。
本发明还涉及一种操作上述运动器械的改进的方法。依据本发明,该方法包括几步:(i)制作含有促动内容和一个或多个用于控制运动器械一个或多个运行参数的控制信号的节目;(ii)从远离运动器械的地方传输节目;(iii)接受和再现传来的节目;(iv)解译控制信号;以及(v)对解译出的控制信号做出反应,调整运动器械的运行参数,这样运动器械的运行就与上述的促动内容同步。每一个上述的步骤的运作与以上详细讨论的装置所述内容是相同的也是一致的。
从上述的描述中,很明显本发明的优点和特征在在先技术中是找不到的。例如,本发明提供的运动器械,它整合了一个标准的用于接收和解译控制信号的接口,其中控制信号嵌在多媒体节目中,用来与多媒体节目同步地控制运动器械的多个运行参数。另外,本发明提供的家庭运动器械,它能够模拟集体或班的工作环境并且用促动节目同步地控制运动器械的运行。本发明也提供了改进的运动器械,其中的节目包括促动内容和控制信号,他们能够用通常家中找得到的音频和/或视频回放设备来回放,例如电视机、录像机、家庭立体声设备等等,运动器械能解译并利用控制信号与促动内容一起同步地控制运动器械的运行。本发明便利了可互换的多媒体节目的应用,该多媒体节目对运动器械本身来说是外部的,这就使得,伴随着只有多媒体节目制造商的想象力才能限制的促动内容,快速地和容易地“编程控制”运动器械以执行一个永无止境的多样化的运动例程成为可能。本发明也提供了灵活性,因为多媒体节目可以从远离运动器械的地方,实时地或延时地传输,或者,多媒体节目可以被录制和/或存储在合适的存储介质上,由用户以方便的方式回放。本发明也便利了实时的播放,家中踏车用户和远处的教练之间的交互式交流,允许教练以一种实时的方式控制用户的踏车的运行参数。
虽然本发明的优选实施例在这里做了详细的描述,本领域的技术人员可以理解,可以进行任何变化或修改而不脱离本发明的实质或权利要求的范围。
Claims (42)
1.一种改进的运动器械,它含有一个或多个马达用来控制所述运动器械的一个或多个运行参数,改进的运动器械包括:
用于存储节目的存储介质,所述节目包含有促动内容和与所述的促动内容同步控制所述运动器械的一个或多个运行参数的一个或多个控制信号;
再现所述节目的装置;以及
对所述的一个或多个控制信号做出反应,与所述的促动内容同步控制所述运动器械的运行参数的控制装置,所述控制装置包括:
传感装置,用来感知和把再现的节目的音频部分转化成电信号,所述传感装置含有一个输出端用来输出所述的电信号;
具有输入和输出的解译所述控制信号的解译装置,所述解译装置的输入与所述传感装置的输出电连接;和
对解译出的控制信号做出反应,驱动所述的一个或多个马达的驱动装置,该装置与所述解译装置的输出电连接。
2.按照权利要求1所述的改进的运动器械,其特征在于,节目包括电视广播。
3.按照权利要求1所述的改进的运动器械,其特征在于,节目包括无线电广播。
4.按照权利要求2或3所述的改进的运动器械,其特征在于,广播是实时的。
5.按照权利要求2或3所述的改进的运动器械,其特征在于,广播是预先录制好的。
6.按照权利要求2或3所述的改进的运动器械,其特征在于,广播通过无线电波传输。
7.按照权利要求2或3所述的改进的运动器械,其特征在于,广播通过电缆传输。
8.按照权利要求2或3所述的改进的运动器械,其特征在于,广播通过卫星传输。
9.按照权利要求2或3所述的改进的运动器械,其特征在于,广播通过互联网传输。
10.如权利要求1所述的改进的运动器械,其特征在于,节目被预先录制好并存储在合适的存储介质上。
11.按照权利要求10所述的改进的运动器械,其特征在于,促动内容包含音频。
12.按照权利要求11所述的改进的运动器械,其特征在于,节目被存储在录音磁带上。
13.按照权利要求11所述的改进的运动器械,其特征在于,节目被存储在CD盘上。
14.按照权利要求11所述的改进的运动器械,其特征在于,节目被存储在迷你盘上。
15.按照权利要求11所述的改进的运动器械,其特征在于,节目被存储在电脑磁盘上。
16.按照权利要求10所述的改进的运动器械,其特征在于,促动内容包含同步的音频和视频。
17.按照权利要求16所述的改进的运动器械,其特征在于,节目被存储在录像带上。
18.按照权利要求16所述的改进的运动器械,其特征在于,节目被存储在激光视盘上。
19.按照权利要求16所述的改进的运动器械,其特征在于,节目被存储在数字视盘上。
20.按照权利要求16所述的改进的运动器械,其特征在于,节目被存储在电脑磁盘上。
21.按照权利要求1所述的改进的运动器械,其特征在于,所述的再现节目的装置整合在所述的运动器械中。
22.按照权利要求1所述的改进的运动器械,其特征在于,所述的再现节目的装置是独立的并与所述运动器械分开。
23.按照权利要求21或22所述的改进的运动器械,其特征在于,所述的再现节目的装置包含一个电视机。
24.按照权利要求21或22所述的改进的运动器械,其特征在于,所述的再现节目的装置包含一个电视机和一个放像机。
25.按照权利要求21或22所述的改进的运动器械,其特征在于,所述的再现节目的装置包含一个电视机和一个激光视盘机。
26.按照权利要求21或22所述的改进的运动器械,其特征在于,所述的再现节目的装置包含一个电视机和一个数字视盘机。
27.按照权利要求21或22所述的改进的运动器械,其特征在于,所述的再现节目的装置包含一个音频回放系统。
28.按照权利要求21或22所述的改进的运动器械,其特征在于,所述的再现节目的装置包含一个整合了无线电接收机的音频回放系统。
29.按照权利要求21或22所述的改进的运动器械,其特征在于,所述的再现节目的装置包含一个音频回放系统和一个录音磁带播放机。
30.按照权利要求21或22所述的改进的运动器械,其特征在于,所述的再现节目的装置包含一个音频回放系统和一个CD播放机。
31.按照权利要求21或22所述的改进的运动器械,其特征在于,所述的再现节目的装置包含一个音频回放系统和一个迷你盘播放机。
32.按照权利要求1所述的改进的运动器械,其特征在于,所述的再现装置包含一个扩音器,所述的传感装置含有一个麦克风。
33.按照权利要求1所述的改进的运动器械,其特征在于,所述的再现装置包含一个RF传输器,所述的传感装置含有一个RF接收器。
34.按照权利要求1所述的改进的运动器械,其特征在于,所述的再现装置包含一个红外线传输器,所述的传感装置含有一个红外线接收器。
35.按照权利要求1所述的改进的运动器械,进一步包括一个摄像机。
36.按照权利要求1所述的改进的运动器械,其特征在于,所述的运动器械包含一个摄像机,所述摄像机用来捕捉改进的运动器械上的用户的视频数据,以便传送到远离改进的运动器械的教练。
37.按照权利要求1所述的改进的运动器械,其特征在于,所述的用于再现所述节目的再现装置进一步容纳有所述存储介质。
38.操作具有一个或多个马达的运动器械以控制一个或多个所述运动器械的运行参数的方法,包括:
制作含有促动内容和一个或多个用来控制所述运动器械的一个或多个运行参数的控制信号的节目的步骤,其中,所述一个或多个控制信号与所述的促动内容同步,并且所述的促动内容包括音频部分和视频部分中的至少一个,所述一个或多个控制信号叠加在所述的促动内容的所述音频部分中;
从远离所述运动器械的地方传输所述的节目的步骤;
接收和再现传来的节目的步骤;
用传感装置感知和转化电信号的步骤,其中所述传感装置用来感知和把再现的节目的音频部分转化成电信号,所述传感装置含有一个输出端用来输出所述的电信号;
用解译装置从所述再现的节目的所述音频部分解译所述的控制信号的步骤,其中所述解译装置具有输入和输出,用来解译所述控制信号,所述解译装置的输入与所述传感装置的输出电连接;以及
对所述解译出的控制信号做出反应,调整所述运动器械的所述一个或多个运行参数的步骤,其中,所述运动器械的运行与所述的促动内容同步。
39.按照权利要求38所述的方法,其特征在于,传输过程包含通过无线电波广播所述的节目。
40.按照权利要求38所述的方法,其特征在于,传输过程包含通过电缆广播所述的节目。
41.按照权利要求38所述的方法,其特征在于,传输过程包含通过卫星广播所述的节目。
42.按照权利要求38所述的方法,其特征在于,传输过程包含通过互联网广播所述的节目。
