Abstract

Description
本发明通常涉及一种扫描装置,更具体地涉及一种使用线性传感器扫描指纹的方法和设备。
通常使用自动指纹扫描仪来获取一模拟或数字图象,用于安全、入口、辨认或保留记录等场合。在大多数常规的扫描仪中,通过一具有设置成多行和列的一象素矩阵的成象装置获取指纹的一种二维(2D)图象。一2D光敏电子传感器例如一电荷耦合传感器(CCD)通常用于获取一指纹图象。但是,典型的CCD和相连的光学器件的成本和尺寸使得其在某些受限制的环境中使用起来很昂贵和不实际,例如键盘、笔记本电脑以及光标指示装置如鼠标或转球。
一种公知的设备使用一系列热传感器,构造成具有一单列和单行的L型或T型的横截面图案。当使用者将他或她的手指沿传感器滑动时,列传感器确定手指的位置和速度,而行传感器获得指纹的图象。但是这种热装置不能防止由于过大的压力使手指上的皮肤伸展或指纹的凸纹和凹纹变平而产生的指纹的变形。
因此,需要一种简单和低成本的方式,使得在一受限制的使用场合扫描指纹而不会使指纹图象变形。
本发明提供了一种使用线性传感器扫描指纹的方法和设备。指纹或手掌在一透明辊子上滚动。一光源传导光通过辊子以照射或检测手指。通过辊子传导的光聚焦在一线性成象装置上。从由线性组成象传感器采集到的离散的单线图象数据可以组成一指纹完整的2D再现。此设备包含一转动检测器以检测辊子的转动。位于辊子附近的一指纹导向件防止由于过大的压力使手指变形。

在下面对优选实施例的描述中,对附图进行了标记,而且在附图中以示例性的方式示出一特定的实施例,可以实施本发明。可以理解在不脱离本发明范围的前提下可以使用其他的实施例并进行结构上的变化。在下面描述的本发明的一优选实施例是一遥控计算机设备,使用者可以将软件应用到一网络服务器上。
在下面的描述中,为了解释起见,给出了许多特定的细节以便能够充分理解本发明。但显然对本领域的普通技术人员而言不用这些特定的细节可以实施本发明。在其他的例子中,以方框图的形式示出了公知的结构和装置,以便于描述。
本发明提供了优于现有设备的几个优点。一种线性成象装置和相连的光学元件通常比一2D传感器组及其相连的光学元件小而且便宜,使得本发明比现有设备小和便宜。本发明使用一辊子减小了由于伸展而对手指皮肤的变形,并且由于在一小列手指上的辊子压力,提供了改进的成象质量。如下所述,指纹图象串联产生,而不是并联产生,降低了相连的电子设备的成本。本发明还适用于不同的光学和视觉长度,因为图象只必须集中在一个尺寸上,使本发明更容易加工。
图1示出本发明一实施例的立体图。一指纹扫描设备101包括一透明的辊子103和一可选择地指纹导向件105。图2示出本发明一优选实施例的左侧剖视图。一指纹207或手掌滚压在具有一转动点205的透明辊子203上,提供与手指207的一接触点209。与带有电线219的光控制电子装置213相连的一光源通过辊子203发出光,以示出手指207。通过辊子203发出的光聚焦在一具有输出导线的线性成象装置上。一聚焦装置221和可选镜217可用于将光线聚焦在线性成象装置223上。一手指导向件225可以有选择地位于辊子附近使手指对齐,并防止由于过度压力而使手指变形。扫描设备201包含在壳体211中。光源215最好是一发光二极管(LED),但本领域普通技术人员可以认识到只要光源基本均匀穿过辊子203,本发明可以使用其他的光源而不会损失一般性。聚焦装置221最好是一透镜,但本领域普通技术人员可以认识到本发明可以使用其他的聚焦装置例如一SELFOC透镜或弧形镜而不会损失一般性。线性成象装置223最好是一电荷耦合装置,但本领域普通技术人员可以认识到本发明可以使用其他的成象装置例如一互补型金属氧化物半导体传感器或一接触图象传感器而不会损失一般性。
本发明包括一转动检测器机构,以检测透明辊子的转动。转动的速度和方向都可以得到检测。在一个实施例中,一个有槽的密码或编码轮可以垂直连接到辊子的纵轴上,而一第二光源可以通过有槽轮发射光。有槽轮以及滚轮的运动可以由一光检测器决定,光检测器定位成可以检测通过轮的光。在本发明另一个实施例中,辊子标记例如凹部或凸起设置在辊子的一侧上。辊子的运动可以由检测凹部或凸起运动的机械或光学装置决定。在本发明另一个实施例中,辊子标记例如光学标记或印花图案设置在辊子的一侧上。标记或印花图案以及辊子的运动可以由用于获取一指纹图象的线性成象装置或由单独的光学检测装置决定。本领域普通技术人员可以认识到本发明可以使用其他的检测辊子转动的装置而不会损失一般性。
图3示出本发明一实施例的俯视图。一指纹扫描设备301包括一透明的辊子303和一可选择的手指导向件305。输出导线307用于输出扫描的结果。图4和图5示出本发明一竖直的实施例的一立体和水平的视图。一指纹507或手掌滚压在具有一转动点505的透明辊子503上,提供与手指507的一接触点509。一光源513通过辊子503发出光,以示出手指507。通过辊子503发出的光的一分量聚焦在一具有输出导线的线形成象装置517上。一聚焦装置515可用于将光线聚焦在线性成象装置517上。一手指导向件511可以有选择地位于辊子503附近防止由于过度压力而使手指变形。
图6示出本发明一实施例的元件的方框图。光学器件605将来自手指的光线或图象信息聚焦在一线性组成象传感器607上,其输出在被送入一微控制器601之前通过一模/数转换器。来自微控制器601的可选择的时钟信号609使得可以连续扫描或一离散的时间间隔获取图象。微控制器601向光源控制器611提供控制信号,以打开或关闭光源。涉及辊子运动的信号在613被送至微控制器601。最好为随机存取存储器(RAM)的存储装置615为指纹图象提供一电子存储区。一程序存储器617为指纹图象保持软件指令。一电子接口621向一外设623传入和传出信息。一主时钟625向微控制器601提供计时信息。从由线性组成象传感器607采集到的离散的单线图象数据可以组成一指纹完整的2D再现。
图7示出本发明一实施例的仰视图。图8示出本发明一实施例的一外部左视图。
尽管在一特定的环境中以优选实施例的方式描述了本发明,但本领域的普通技术人员可以理解在不背离本发明权利要求的;宗旨和范围的前提下,可以在不同的硬件和软件环境下对本发明进行改动。
Claims (17)
1.一种扫描指纹的设备,包括:
一线性成象装置:
一透明的辊子;
一可以传导光通过辊子的光源;以及
一可以将通过辊子传导的光聚焦在线性成象装置上的聚焦装置。
2.根据权利要求1所述的设备,还包括一检测辊子旋转运动的转动检测器。
3.根据权利要求1所述的设备,还包括一位于辊子附近的手指导向件。
4.根据权利要求1所述的设备,其特征在于,光源包括一发光二极管(LED)。
5.根据权利要求1所述的设备,其特征在于,线性成象装置包括一电荷耦合装置(CCD)。
6.根据权利要求1所述的设备,其特征在于,线性成象装置包括一互补型金属氧化物半导体(CMOS)传感器。
7.根据权利要求1所述的设备,其特征在于,线性成象装置包括一接触图象传感器(CIS)。
8.根据权利要求1所述的设备,其特征在于,辊子包括一塑性辊子。
9.根据权利要求1所述的设备,其特征在于,辊子包括一玻璃辊子。
10.根据权利要求1所述的设备,其特征在于,聚焦装置包括一透镜。
11.根据权利要求1所述的设备,其特征在于,聚焦装置包括一镜子。
12.根据权利要求2所述的设备,其特征在于,转动检测器包括:
一与辊子相连的有槽轮;
一可以传导光通过有槽轮的第二光源;以及
一可以传导光通过有槽轮的光检测器。
13.根据权利要求2所述的设备,其特征在于,转动检测器包括:
辊子标记;以及
一可以检测标记运动的标记检测器。
14.根据权利要求13所述的设备,其特征在于,标记检测器包括线性成象装置。
15.根据权利要求13所述的设备,其特征在于,辊子标记包括从包括凸起、凹部、突缘、槽、光学印记和光学标记的组中选出的标记。
16.根据权利要求1所述的设备,还包括一与线性成象装置相连的触发器,以触发由线性成象装置获取一指纹图象。
17.一种扫描一指纹的方法,包括以下步骤:
在一透明辊子上滚动一手指;
用通过辊子传导的光照射手指;以及
用一线性成象装置获取通过辊子的指纹的图象。
