在一个最佳实施例中，电子事务通过与超级ATM机器的接触实现。在超级ATM机器中的计算机，为了方便起见称作超级ATMPC，网络连接到主计算机上，离超级ATM很远。网络连接最好是专用直接连接，但也可以是标准调制解调器连接、无线RF调制解调器连接、网状调制解调器连接、或任何其他网络连接，如以太网连接。使用TCP／IP或其他因特网协议，通过拨号连接、或ISDN连接、或诸如电缆调制解调器或其他数字或光学连接之类的专用因特网连接、或任何其他可用的因特网连接，也可以利用因特网连接。
在超级ATM中的PC和远程主计算机40可以使用分布式客户／服务器体系结构，以通过对主计算机软件进行的变化实现“飞击”变化。或者远程从主机或者在本地借助于直接连接到超级ATM上的电子装置，可以更新或改变在超级ATM中的所有软件和固件。例如，通过把超级ATM连接到主机上在超级ATM处可以设置初始设置和配置。在主机处能进行用于每个连接超级ATM的配置的任何以后变化，对要发生的这种变化有计划的日期。每当超级ATM接触主机时，它寻找对配置文件的变化。超级ATM自动查寻主机变化，更新其自己的软件，及变化对计划日期的影响。通过例子，把一个或多个超级ATM编程成开始在一定的日期接收一定的标记，所有来自对主机软件进行的改进。当然，这些变化也能在本地在每个超级ATM PC处，借助于电子装置，如笔记本或手持计算机，与超级ATMPC之间的连接进行。在一个最佳实施例中，分配式客户／服务器体系结构基于JAVA。一个实施例可以利用其他语言，如C++。一个实施例可以利用标准技术，如因特网相互ORB协议(ⅡOP)、HTML、及目标管理组(OMG)协议。
图3表示按照本发明的一个最佳实施例管理多个超级ATM机器10与多个服务提供商60的事务的主计算机40的功能方块图。如图所示，每个超级ATM具有与远程主计算机40的双向通信。主计算机40又具有与多个远程终端60的双向通信。为了说明起见，这些远程终端60在图3中已经标有代表由主计算机接触的可能远程终端的名称。例如，远程终端ATM／POS 420代表当前自动取款机和销售事务点的已知银行网络。该网络能接触以确认和得到资金和进行储蓄。信用卡处理网络430用来确认和处理信用卡事务。主计算机40可以接口／与其作用的其他系统包括飞机订票系统440、电子邮件或消息系统450、事件票系统460、电影票系统470、彩票计算机480、以及其他服务提供商用途490。
在典型事务中，超级ATM PC提示用户关于希望事务的信息。超级ATM PC然后把该信息传送到主计算机。主计算机40按适当工业标准协议格式化该事务，然后接触适当的远程终端。从远程终端接收回的数据由主计算机40处理，对于超级ATM PC格式化，及转发回适当的超级ATM PC。在超级ATM、主机与一个或多个远程终端之间的该系列通信步骤，对于每次事务可以执行几次。例如，在购买事件票时，超级ATM首先必须发送保留数据。如果用户部分用硬币和部分用另外的付款支付，则另外的支付信息发送到主机被确认和得到。最后，金融事务必须完成以付出票的费用。
除处理事务之外，主计算机可以用来监视各个超级ATM。在计划间隔上，超级ATM可以把关于存储的硬币量、接收的货币量、纸等级或票存量的数据；或其他诊断和维护信息发送到主计算机。主机也可以启动与各个超级ATM PC的接触，查寻如当组件需要基于其使用的服务时的数据。主机然后可以估计对每个超级ATM的服务要求的优先权，并因而安排技术人员。如果主机发现需要服务，则可以通过电子邮件消息到寻呼服务启动服务呼叫，这又寻呼技术人员。直到确认电子邮件，主机将继续发送服务请求。响应该寻呼和服务于该单元的技术人员进入双向寻呼机中的响应，以表示谁进行服务和做什么工作。技术人员也能通过双向寻呼机消息启动诊断测试，这由电子邮件转发到主机，主机指令超级ATM PC开始诊断程序或启动由技术人员要求的任何主机可控制机器功能。
在另一个实施例中，每个超级ATM PC能网络连接到单个主机上，或者每个超级ATM能是完全独立的，向第三主产生其自己的通信以实现事务。关于接触，一个远程终端包括超级ATM PC接触主机、和主机接触远程终端，或者超级ATM PC直接接触远程终端。
在最佳的网络环境中，每个超级ATM PC把事务指令发送到主计算机40。主计算机40把这些指令转化成适当的协议，接触第三方，接收信息，如果必要转化成新格式，然后把信息传送到适当的超级ATM PC。在非网络环境中，各个超级ATM PC直接与第三方通信，并且本身进行所有必需的协议转化。
在另一个实施例中，对第三方的指令能批处理而不是实时通信。除对主机或第三方的通信以计划间隙进行、单批通信所有事务外，超级ATM的操作是相同的。对此的一种变形是延迟批处理，其中通信由每个超级ATM PC内部存储，或者存储在可除去存储媒体上。技术人员周期地从每个超级ATM PC下载或除去数据以便处理。
尽管超级ATM能实现常规ATM功能，但本发明的一个实施例不必实现常规ATM功能。超级ATM比常规ATM更通用。超级ATM能更好地认为是自动事务机器而不是自动取款机。本发明一个实施例不能储蓄，但可以根据用户供给的信息分配票。本发明的另一个实施例即不能分配也不能取现金，而是仅可以用来根据用户身份提供信息。
由其他制造商生产的现存ATM能重新装有新软件或固件，带有或不带有辅助硬件，使较旧的ATM完成一些或全部超级ATM功能和在超级ATM网络上通信。
由上述显见，本发明的实施例满足多事务ATM机器的直接需要。这种超级ATM机器可以以其他特定形式实施，并且能与各种远程终端使用，而不脱离本发明的精神或基本特征。因此希望描述的实施例在所有方面都认为是说明性而不是限制性的。

Claims (48)

1．一种自动事务网络，包括：
一个第一服务提供商，响应具有第一格式的消息；
一个第二服务提供商，响应具有不同于所述第一格式的第二格式的消息；及
一个自动事务终端，用来响应第一用户输入与第一服务提供商通信第一格式化的消息，并且响应第二用户输入与第二服务提供商通信第二格式化的消息。
2．根据权利要求1所述的自动事务网络，其中所述第一服务提供商是银行网络，所述第二服务提供商是非银行网络，及所述自动事务终端能够响应第一用户输入来分配资金。
3．根据权利要求1所述的自动事务网络，进一步包括一个响应具有不同于所述第一和第二格式的第三格式的消息的第三服务提供商，并且其中所述自动事务终端响应第二用户输入与使用第二格式化消息的第二服务提供商和使用第三格式化消息的第三服务提供商通信。
4．根据权利要求1所述的自动事务网络，进一步包括一个用来把第一用户输入转化成第一格式化消息、和把第二用户输入转化成第二格式化消息的处理器。
5．根据权利要求4所述的自动事务网络，其中处理器装在自动事务终端中。
6．根据权利要求4所述的自动事务网络，其中处理器包括一个远离所述自动事务终端的主计算机。
7．根据权利要求1所述的自动事务网络，其中所述自动事务终端进一步包括一个用来响应第一用户输入分配多媒体产品的产品多媒体分配器。
8．根据权利要求1所述的自动事务网络，其中所述自动事务终端进一步包括一个用来响应第一用户输入分配一种卡的卡分配器。
9．根据权利要求1所述的自动事务网络，其中所述自动事务终端进一步包括一个用来响应第一用户输入产生印刷媒体的多媒体打印机。
10．根据权利要求1所述的自动事务网络，其中所述自动事务终端进一步包括一个用来响应所述第一和第二用户输入之一抽取识别信息的传感器。
11．根据权利要求10所述的自动事务网络，其中所述第一和第二格式化消息之一包括响应相应用户输入的识别信息。
12．根据权利要求10所述的自动事务网络，其中所述传感器包括一个磁墨水字符识别阅读器。
13．根据权利要求10所述的自动事务网络，其中所述传感器包括一个检验器。
14．根据权利要求10所述的自动事务网络，其中所述传感器包括一个生物统计系统。
15．根据权利要求10所述的自动事务网络，其中所述传感器包括一个签字盘。
16．根据权利要求10所述的自动事务网络，其中所述传感器包括一个光学字符识别扫描器。
17．一种自动事务网络，包括：
一个第一服务提供商，响应具有第一格式的消息；
一个第二服务提供商，响应具有不同于所述第一格式的第二格式的消息；及
一个自动事务终端，用来响应第一用户输入与第一服务提供商通信第一格式化消息，并且与第二服务提供商通信第二格式化消息。
18．根据权利要求17所述的自动事务网络，其中所述第一服务提供商是银行网络，所述第二服务提供商是非银行网络。
19．根据权利要求17所述的自动事务网络，进一步包括一个响应具有不同于所述第一和第二格式的第三格式的消息的第三服务提供商，并且其中所述自动事务终端响应第二用户输入与使用第三格式化消息的第三服务提供商通信。
20．根据权利要求19所述的自动事务网络，其中所述第三服务提供商是银行网络，及所述自动事务终端能够响应第二用户输入来分配资金。
21．根据权利要求17所述的自动事务网络，进一步包括一个用来把第一用户输入转化成第一格式化消息、和把第二用户输入转化成第二格式化消息的处理器。
22．根据权利要求21所述的自动事务网络，其中处理器装在自动事务终端中。
23．根据权利要求21所述的自动事务网络，其中处理器包括一个远离所述自动事务终端的主计算机。
24．根据权利要求17所述的自动事务网络，其中所述自动事务终端进一步包括一个用来响应第一用户输入分配多媒体产品的产品多媒体分配器。
25．根据权利要求17所述的自动事务网络，其中所述自动事务终端进一步包括一个用来响应第一用户输入分配一种卡的卡分配器。
26．根据权利要求17所述的自动事务网络，其中所述自动事务终端进一步包括一个用来响应第一用户输入产生印刷媒体的多媒体打印机。
27．根据权利要求17所述的自动事务网络，其中所述自动事务终端进一步包括一个用来响应所述第一和第二用户输入之一抽取识别信息的传感器。
28．根据权利要求27所述的自动事务网络，其中所述第一和第二格式化消息中所述的一个包括响应相应用户输入的识别信息。
29．根据权利要求27所述的自动事务网络，其中所述传感器包括一个磁墨水字符识别阅读器。
30．根据权利要求27所述的自动事务网络，其中所述传感器包括一个检验器。
31．根据权利要求27所述的自动事务网络，其中所述传感器包括一个生物统计系统。
32．根据权利要求27所述的自动事务网络，其中所述传感器包括一个签字盘。
33．根据权利要求27所述的自动事务网络，其中所述传感器包括一个光学字符识别扫描器。
34．一种自动事务终端，包括：
一个小键盘，用来在第一、第二与第三请求之间选择，所述小键盘带有一个响应选择请求的输出；
一个传感器，用来响应选择请求抽取识别信息；
一个处理器，用来响应小键盘输出格式化消息，所述格式化消息包括选择消息；
一个产品多媒体分配器，当选择第一请求时用来分配一个多媒体产品；
一个卡分配器，当选择第二请求时用来分配一种卡；及
一个多媒体打印机，当选择第三请求时用来产生印刷媒体。
35．根据权利要求34所述的自动事务网络，其中所述传感器包括一个从由一个磁墨水字符识别阅读器、一个检验器、一个生物统计系统、一个签字盘、及一个光学字符识别扫描器组成的组中选择的一个传感器。
36．一种用来完成来自一个自动事务终端与多个服务提供商之一的事务的方法，服务提供商的每一个响应具有与其他服务提供商不同的格式的消息，所述方法包括步骤：
把来自用户的请求输入到自动事务终端中；
在自动事务终端处响应请求来选择服务提供商之一；
把请求转化成具有用于选择的服务提供商所述之一的格式的消息；及
把格式化消息传送到选择的服务提供商的所述之一。
37．根据权利要求36所述的方法，进一步包括步骤：
把来自用户的一个第二请求输入到自动事务终端中；
在自动事务终端处响应第二请求选择服务提供商的第二个；
把第二请求转化成具有用于选择的服务提供商的所述第二个的格式的第二消息；
把第二格式化消息传送到选择服务提供商的所述第二个；
在选择服务提供商的所述第二个处接收第二格式化消息；
从第二格式化消息检索第二请求；
响应第二请求产生一个返回消息；
把返回消息传送到自动事务终端；及
响应返回消息分配来自自动事务终端的资金。
38．根据权利要求36所述的方法，进一步包括步骤：
在选择服务提供商的所述一个处接收格式化消息；
从格式化消息检索请求；
响应请求产生一个返回消息；及
把返回消息传送到自动事务终端。
39．根据权利要求38所述的方法，进一步包括步骤：在自动事务终端处响应返回消息分配一种多媒体产品。
40．根据权利要求38所述的方法，进一步包括步骤：在自动事务终端处响应返回消息分配一种卡。
41．根据权利要求38所述的方法，进一步包括步骤：在自动事务终端处响应返回消息产生印刷媒体。
42．根据权利要求38所述的方法，进一步包括步骤：
在自动事务终端处，根据返回消息自动产生一个第二请求；
在自动事务终端处，根据返回消息自动选择服务提供商的第二个；
把请求转化成具有用于选择的服务提供商的所述第二个的格式的第二消息；及
把第二格式化消息传送到选择服务提供商的所述一个。
43．根据权利要求42所述的方法，进一步包括步骤：
在选择的服务提供商的所述第二个处接收第二格式化消息；
从第二格式化消息检索第二请求；
响应第二请求产生一个第二返回消息；及
把第二返回消息传送到自动事务终端。
44．根据权利要求36所述的方法，进一步包括在自动事务终端处检测输入请求的用户身份的步骤，并且其中转化步骤进一步包括把识别信息附加到消息上、和把有附加到其上的识别信息的请求转化成具有用于选择的服务提供商所述一个的格式的消息。
45．根据权利要求44所述的方法，进一步包括步骤：
在选择服务提供商的所述一个处接收格式化消息；
从格式化消息检索请求和识别信息；
根据识别信息检验用户的身份；
响应请求产生一个返回消息；及
把返回消息传送到自动事务终端。
46．根据权利要求36所述的方法，进一步包括步骤：
在自动事务终端处响应请求选择服务提供商的第二个；
把请求转化成具有用于选择服务提供商的所述第二个的格式的第二消息；及
把第二格式化消息传送到选择服务提供商的所述第二个。
47．根据权利要求46所述的方法，进一步包括步骤：
在选择服务提供商的所述一个处，接收格式化消息；
在选择服务提供商的所述第二个处，接收第二格式化消息；
在服务提供商的所述一个处，从格式化消息检索请求；
在服务提供商的所述第二个处，从格式化消息检索请求；
在选择服务提供商的所述一个处，响应请求产生一个返回消息；
在选择服务提供商的所述第二个处，响应请求产生一个第二返回消息；
把返回消息从选择服务提供商的所述一个传送到自动事务终端；及
把第二返回消息从选择服务提供商的所述第二个传送到自动事务终端。
48．一种用来完成来自一个自动事务终端与多个服务提供商之一的事务的方法，服务提供商的每一个响应具有与其他服务提供商不同的格式的消息，所述方法包括步骤：
把来自用户的请求输入到自动事务终端中；
在自动事务终端处检测识别信息；
确认识别信息；
在自动事务终端处，如果确认所述识别信息，则响应请求选择服务提供商之一；
如果确认所述识别信息，则把请求转化成具有用于选择服务提供商所述之一的格式的消息；及
如果确认所述识别信息，则把格式化消息传送到选择服务提供商的所述之一。
