Abstract

技术领域
本发明涉及一种光纤接头系统,具体涉及一种改进的不昂贵的光纤接头插座,该插座包括一用于与一配套的插塞配合以将插塞光纤压抵于插座光纤的弹簧板搭扣结构。
背景技术
由于采用更高数据速率及避免了导电体带来的电磁干扰问题的能力,光纤在通讯业中用于传输信息已日益普及。所有插塞和插座连接器系统都需要一些使插塞接点与插座接点保持接触关系的配合形式。标准的电气通讯插塞和插座一般是配置倒弯导体以在插塞和插座配合时相互成弹簧压紧关系。而在轴向没有固有弹簧特性的光缆中则一般是采用更为复杂和昂贵的弹簧负载金属套圈设计以使插塞和插座插口配合的光缆轴向相互压紧。这些设计除了更为昂贵外,并具有更多的零件和更为复杂的装配步骤。对于玻璃光纤来说,在光纤之间精确对准和将光纤轴向压紧以保证没有空隙尤其重要。对于塑料光纤系统来说,将光纤对准并压紧在一起仍是必要的,但并不需要同样的精度。因此,在设计玻璃光纤和塑料光纤连接系统时,最好设计成不太昂贵的接头,并需要对现有光纤接头设计进行改进。
发明内容
因此,本发明的一个目的是提供一种改进的光纤接头系统。
本发明的另一目的是提供一种用来与一光纤插塞配合的简单、价廉的光纤插座插口设计。
本发明的又一目的是提供一种利用一单个弹簧板搭扣在与一插塞配合时使光纤轴向压紧的光纤插座。
本发明的光纤接头一般地在前端处包括一插塞接受开口,它适于与一插塞配合;以及一配置在该插塞接受开口内的弹簧板,并包括一用于与一插塞上的配套表面配合的靠模装置,用于将插塞相对于插座向内方向压紧。

具体实施方式
一个实施本发明构思的光纤接头系统在附图中用标号10表示。如图1和2所示,光纤接头系统包括一光纤插塞14,该插塞接受和定位一对并排的光缆54;以及一光纤插座12,该插座接受和定位一对并排的用于与插塞14的相应光纤54配合的光缆54。
如图3和4所示,光纤插座12在前端22处具有一插塞接受开口20,并在后端18中接受一对光缆54,该光缆系通过一具有部分切入光纤套管而不损坏光纤的配置在侧缘的若干齿的下推镶嵌件16固定,以提供对于轴向载荷抗力。接受开口20包括一从该接受开口的背壁26的底侧朝插座前端22延伸的单个悬臂弹簧板24。弹簧板24的活动区域包括一伸出的靠模表面28,该表面可与配套的光纤插塞14的底侧形成的一凹槽的靠模表面配合。上抬的靠模表面28还具有一倾斜的前导入表面30,该表面在插入过程中与插塞14接触并使弹簧板24向下偏转。单个弹簧板在插塞接受开口内底部处的位置还可节约空间,这是采用光纤接头的一个重要的考虑。
如图3和5所示,光纤插塞14也包括一下推镶嵌件32,该下推镶嵌件配置在一对光缆54之间,其侧缘上包括若干部分切入光纤套管而不损坏光纤的齿,以提供对于轴向载荷抗力。一凹槽36配置在插塞的底侧并与插塞14的前端从后面隔开。一靠模表面38配置在该凹槽36的前端处,其位置为当插塞14完全插入插座12时与弹簧板24上的靠模表面28相应。
如图6和7所示,当插塞14插入插座12的接受开口20时,倾斜导入表面30紧靠在插塞14上并使悬臂弹簧板24向下偏转,直至插塞14已充分插入而使弹簧板靠模28与插塞14的凹槽36的靠模表面38配合。弹簧板24和靠模表面28、38均成一角度,以对固定在插塞14的金属套管56中的光纤54施加一恒定的弹簧压力,并轴向朝内朝向在从接受开口20的背端延伸的对准管58内定位的插座光纤54。
图8表示弹性地紧靠在接受开口20的顶壁的插塞14的一标准搭扣机构34的详图。该弹性搭扣34的接触作用有助于对抗单个弹簧板24的任何向上的力,并使插塞14的光纤54维持水平对准。
图9-14示出了采用金属弹簧板的本发明的一第二实施例。虽然金属弹簧板可采用其他各种设计,例如一悬臂梁,但如图11所示,本实施例中所示的弹簧板40为一具有一插入接受开口20的背端下部的凹槽内的倒弯部50的倒弯金属弹簧夹。金属弹簧板40包括一具有一与插口唇边52配合的前端的下腿部46,一倒弯部50和一作为弹簧板的上腿部48。上腿部48具有形成在其中的靠模表面42和倾斜导入表面44。倒弯弹簧的上腿部的靠模表面42具有相似设计,以与插塞14凹陷的靠模区域38配合而将插塞压入一相对光纤的压紧位置,从而固定在插座外壳12中。
应当注意,尽管图示的光纤接头系统是用于双联接头的,但根据本发明的教导也可制造其他非双联接头。

Claims (9)

1.一种在一适于与一插塞配合的前端处带有一插塞接受开口的光纤接头插座,其特征在于,还包括:
一配置在所述插塞接受开口内的弹簧板,并包括一用于与所述插塞上的配套表面配合的靠模装置,用于将插塞相对于插座朝内方向压紧。
2.如权利要求1所述的光纤接头插座,其特征在于,所述弹簧板形成为一从插塞接受开口的一下部延伸的悬臂。
3.如权利要求1所述的光纤接头插座,其特征在于,所述弹簧板由金属制成。
4.如权利要求3所述的光纤接头插座,其特征在于,所述弹簧板是一具有一与外壳配合的下腿部和一用于与所述插塞配合的弹性上腿部的倒弯夹。
5.如权利要求1所述的光纤接头插座,其特征在于,所述插塞包括一悬臂搭扣,所述弹簧板配置在所述插塞接受开口中,并与所述悬臂搭扣相对。
6.如权利要求5所述的光纤接头插座,其特征在于,所述弹簧板由金属制成。
7.一种光纤接头系统,包括:
一具有将至少一根光缆定位在所述插塞前端处的装置的光纤插塞;
一具有一用于接受和定位至少一根光缆的后端的光纤插座;
一形成在所述光纤插座前端的插塞接受开口;其特征在于,还包括
一配置在所述插塞接受开口中并具有一凸出的靠模表面的弹簧板,该凸出的靠模表面的位置在完全插入所述接受开口时与所述光纤插塞上的一靠模表面配合。
8.如权利要求7所述的光纤接头系统,其特征在于,所述弹簧板由金属制成。
9.如权利要求8所述的光纤接头系统,其特征在于,所述弹簧板是一具有一与外壳固定的下腿部和一用于与所述插塞配合的上腿部的倒弯夹。
