Abstract

技术领域
本发明涉及信息处理,具体地涉及交互式报告系统。
背景技术
近年间,对于诸如气象信息的详细信息的需求急剧上升。因为其收集,处理,发送与接收数据的能力,各种个人计算机及通讯设备提升了对更多信息的要求。结果,专业化情报和增值服务的需求量很大。最终用户不再希望收集,处理及评价原始的数据。例如,没有什么地方这种状况比横跨北美的气象服务更明显。
多年前,无线电和电视广播公司从它们的受众处认识到对气象信息不断增加的需求,并因此把增加气象部分的广播数量作为提高市场地位的手段。现今,对气象信息中的特定内容的需求已经超过广播公司满足这些需求的能力。实际上商务及个人活动的每个方面都连续地受到天气好坏的影响。
在美国等大多数国家,政府机构(美国国家气象局)承担为公众制作气象产品的重要责任。诸如报告,陈述和预报等的这些产品被制作出来并且使其可以被诸如广播公司,报纸,因特网网站,寻呼公司及其他等的第三方得到,这些第三方转而将其向公众发布。然而,这样的数据管理的信道是单向的。

另一个普通的实例进一步阐明该问题。激动地将要参加即将到来的周末冠军垒球赛的某个家庭密切地监听本地天气预报。整整一周的预报都报告比赛日的天气为晴到少云。比赛日一早预报变更为少云,傍晚有百分之三十的降雨可能。相信降雨的可能性低于他们感觉的危险度,该家庭决定参加该比赛。该家庭不知道的是,在正午,密集的阵雨不断加强,并且在比赛场上将有危险的闪电。而上午的天气预报是不完全错误的,但是参与者和观众都被暴露于危险之中。如果后来被问起,则可能该家庭的成员没有听到或者不记得天气预报。他们也没有能将他们有限的气象知识与他们自己的需要以及危险暴露相联系。他们没有监控气象情况的变化。最可能的是,他们不具备监控比赛中正在显露的危险的能力。很明显,这些人不得不解读过时的及有限的信息并将其用于他们具体的应用场合。

发明内容
本发明提供了一种交互式报告系统及传递个性化信息的方法。更具体地说,本发明涉及用于向远程通信装置有选择地传送个性化输出信号的广播网。该广播网包括用户输入数据库,通信装置位置数据库,分析单元和通信网络。
用户输入数据库包含用户定义参数,以及每一个用户定义参数理想地包括空间范围标识符和用户概况。每一个用户定义参数中的用户概况至少标识与特定用户相关联的通信装置。通信装置位置数据库包含指示通信装置空间位置的实时数据。在本发明的一个优选方案中,通信装置位置数据库由通信装置自动地和/或不断地更新。
信息数据库包含数据,诸如用于至少是包含在通信装置位置数据库中的空间位置的实时气象数据。术语"数据"描述的是各式各样的产品,包括但不限于过去和现在的气象事件的状况,文本产品,图形产品等。分析单元接收来自信息数据库的实时数据,并自动地和不断地将包括在用户定义参数中的空间范围标识符和包含在通信装置位置数据库中的相应通信装置的空间位置与实时数据进行比较,并且根据用户的要求乃至不断地在由用户定义参数的空间范围标识符标识的空间范围内产生诸如气象信息的个性化输出信号。当由通信装置位置数据库定义新的位置时,信息数据库被实时自动地更新。
通信网络向包括在相应于实时数据和事件预测的用户定义参数中的用户概况中定义的特定通信装置传送每一个个性化输出信号。因此,用户可以接收对于用户即时空间位置特定的实时信息而不考虑用户的位置在整个时段是否保持固定或动态。
在一个实施例中,本发明被用于定位处于远离广播网的位置的至少一个已知的或未知的个体。

下文将参照附图并且更具体地参照以框图形式在本文中显示的图1说明根据本发明构成的交互式气象报告系统的形式的本发明的一个实施例。气象报告系统8配备用于向远程通信装置11有选择地传送个性化气象输出信号的广播网10。广播网10包括气象分析单元12,用户输入数据库14,通信装置位置数据库16和通信网络20。气象分析单元12从气象信息数据库21实时接收气象数据。气象信息数据库21可以位于广播网10中或者远离广播网10。气象分析单元12,用户输入数据库14,通信装置位置数据库16,气象信息数据库21和通信网络20通过信号通路22,24,26,28,30和32相互关联并通信。
用户输入数据库14允许多个用户输入相应于气象记录,报告或预报的数据,以使个性化的气象记录,报告或事件预测可以传输到每一个单个用户。用户输入数据库14包含代表与多个用户中的每一个用户相关联的至少一个用户定义参数的数据。在本发明的一个方案中,每一个用户定义参数包括与气象输出信号有关的各种信息,诸如空间范围标识符,用户概况,用于标识特定气象模型的一个或多个气象内容标识符,用于标识用户可能要求气象产品的特定时间或时间间隔的一个或多个时间标识符,空间位置固定或动态代码,以及如果空间位置固定或动态代码显示空间位置将被固定时用于标识对用户有意义的特定空间位置的空间位置标识符。每一个用户定义参数中的用户概况至少包括用于标识与特定用户关联的特定通信装置11的用户标识符代码。
例如,用户标识符代码可以是标识在这一情况下可以是例如移动电话或寻呼机的一个通信装置11的移动电话号码。气象内容标识符可以是标识一种或多种气候状况或事件,诸如龙卷风、雷暴、雹暴、闪电暴雷、阵雨、暴风雪、雪暴、疾风、高空风,气压的快速上升下降或其他这样的气象模型或状况的计算机代码。时间标识符理想地可以是用于标识用户要求交互式气象报告系统8向用户传递气象数据或监视特定时间和/或日期的实时气象数据的特定时间,次数或时间间隔的计算机代码。空间位置标识符26可以是标识诸如举例但不限于世界上任何地方的经纬度,城镇,县,镇区,地址,邮政编码,海拔高度及其组合的特定的预定空间位置的计算机代码。
如上所述,空间位置标识符标识世界上任何地方的特定空间位置和/或海拔高度。空间范围标识符标识围绕空间位置标识符的特定的空间范围。每一个用户能够选择空间位置标识符和空间范围标识符以便接收由空间位置标识符标识的空间位置的和由空间范围标识符标识的空间范围内的天气预报和/或气象报告或任何其它的气象信息。
例如,参考图2,图中显示图解由本发明的不同用户选择的四个空间位置标识符和四个空间范围标识符的坐标系。也就是,一个用户选择空间位置标识符(X1,Y1,Z1)和空间范围标识符(R1)。另一个用户选择空间位置标识符(X2,Y2,Z2)和空间范围标识符(R2)。

空间范围标识符R1,R2,R3和R4的数值可以不同或相同。此外,空间范围标识符R1,R2,R3和R4的数值能够广泛地改变和由用户按要求选择。

气象信息数据库21包含至少是包含在通信装置位置数据库16中的空间位置和用户输入数据库14中的由空间位置标识符标识的空间位置的实时气象数据。气象分析单元12基于实时气象数据产生所有气象事件的预测。气象信息数据库21从诸如举例但不限于政府气象信息资源,私营气象信息资源及其他各种气象资源的多个可能资源中的至少一个资源按要求接收实时气象数据。实时气象数据也能够在气象信息数据库21的实际地点直接输入,或者通过移动电话网,配备无线应用协议的移动电话网,因特网,飞机通信系统,电子邮件,个人数字助理,便携式计算机,台式计算机或其它无线设备输入。
或者,气象信息数据库21可以包含至少是包含在通信装置位置数据库16中的空间位置和用户输入数据库14中的由空间位置标识符标识的空间位置的气象预测数据和/或天气预报数据。在本实施例中,气象分析单元12根据实时气象数据产生所有气象事件的预测。

通信网络20可以是举例但不限于移动电话网,配备无线应用协议技术的移动电话网,因特网,传真网,卫星网络(单路或双路),RF无线电网,或从源向终端用户传输信息的任何其他手段。
通信装置11可以是双向的或单向的通信装置。通信装置11可以是举例但不限于诸如移动电话,智能电话,寻呼机,便携式计算机或个人数字助理的便携式设备,或能够接收气象信息数据的任何其它电子设备。此外,通信装置11可以结合到被用户使用或用户可以接近的物体中,诸如头盔,汽车或飞机中。虽然为了说明的目的在图1中仅出现了三个通信装置11,但是交互式气象报告系统8预期能够利用大量通信装置11。

在一个优选实施例中,不是用户向用户输入数据库14提供用户定义参数或者除了用户向用户输入数据库14提供用户定义参数之外,用户输入数据库14被编程为提供多个预定义的用户概况,每一个预定义的用户概况针对由用户指定的活动并选择性地包括该活动的日期和时间。所述活动可以是商务的,个人的或娱乐的需要。例如,商务需要可以是取决于天气状况或被天气状况影响开展想要的活动的任何工作,例如但不限于牧场主,承包商,农场主或油漆工。个人的需要可以是正面地或负面地受到天气状况影响的任何活动,例如但不限于由房主履行的职责,诸如割草坪,油漆房屋,修剪树木等。娱乐的需要可以是依赖于天气状况的任何娱乐或其他室外活动,例如但不限定于高尔夫球,骑脚踏车,划船,徒步,钓鱼或滑雪。

预定义用户概况由标识通常适合于和/或不利于各个指定活动的天气状况的广播网10和/或气象分析单元12的构成部件确定。这样,例如,用于"打高尔夫球"的预定义用户概况将包含诸如风况,闪电,雨,温度及其他条件的将正面地或负面地影响高尔夫球活动的数据。预定义用户概况中的数据可以在用户选择活动前后确定。
如果用户想要,则广播网10和/或气象分析单元12可以承担产生空间范围标识符的合适尺寸的责任(如用户概况或预定义用户概况的情况一样)。或者,空间范围标识符可以由气象事件的性质决定。在后一种情况下,广播网10和/或气象分析单元12的构成部件将确定围绕各个将要或可能发生的气象事件的"关注区域",并且通信网络20则将向可能与该关注区域接触的任何用户或通信装置11发送通知。
例如,龙卷风可能有1/2英里宽,以及广播网10和/或气象分析单元12将根据其经验,知识和/或能力确定关注区域为1/2英里宽和8英里长并向东北方向移动。如上所述,任何包含在用户输入数据库14中的用户将会被通知用户的位置是否将与"关注区域"接触。
该系统的其他用途
如图3-4所示的是可以用于传递其他类型的信息或用于更精确地预测气象相关事件的报告系统8a和8b。报告系统8a和8b除了如下所述的方面以外在结构上和功能上与气象报告系统8相似。为了明确性的目的,为类似的组件提供相同的数字前缀和不同的字母后缀。
报告系统8a配备广播网10a。在一个实施例中,广播网10a用于例如从雇主向雇员传送个性化的实时工作任务。广播网10a配备分析单元12a,通信装置位置数据库16a和通信装置11a和11b。这里的通信装置11a被称作"雇主通信装置",通信装置11b被称为"雇员通信装置"。通信装置位置数据库16a被不断地更新以包含指示通信装置11a和11b的空间位置的实时数据。按与如上所述类似的方式,分析单元12a在用户概况(以方框80a代表),存储在通信装置位置数据库16a中的动态位置,以方框82a代表的固定位置和从一个雇主通信装置11a输入分析单元12a的工作任务之间进行比较。系统8a可以进一步描述为说明在系统8a内输送的信息类型的雇主系统40a和雇员系统42a。

分析单元12a加载雇员用户概况和位置。分析单元12a标识位于买主位置附近的递送人(雇员)。雇员用户概况的一部分可以包括雇员运货车上的货物清单。雇员不需要知道位于他的运货车上的是什么货物,只需要知道他的递送目的地。

如图4所示的是根据本发明构成的另一个报告系统8b。报告系统8b包括广播网10b。除了广播网10b包括个性化的传感器网络48a外,广播网10b在结构上和功能上与上述广播网10类似,该个性化的传感器网络48a具有气象与环境传感器48b,这些传感器具体地与地理区域相关联,该地理区域与预定的用户相关联。

例如,希望与系统8c的其他用户玩诸如捉人游戏的定位者可以通过其定位者通信装置11c按照与如上所述同样的方法将其定位者用户概况信息输入到分析单元12c中。这样的定位者用户概况信息的实例包括例如个人特征和/或个性品质,和/或用于定位被定位者的想要的空间范围。此外,定位者可以向分析单元12c中输入想要的被定位者的标准,诸如想要的个人特征和/或个性品质,想要的被定位者位置,和/或想要的用于定位被定位者的空间范围。
希望玩例如捉人游戏的定位者将与游戏类型,定位者的个性品质和/或个人特征有关的信息输入到分析单元12c中(通过定位者通信装置11c),以及在例如距其位置50英里的空间范围内指定其希望定位的被定位者。把世界用作参与所指定捉人游戏的"游戏板",分析单元12c将被定位者用户概况标准与定位者用户概况标准和/或定位者想要的标准进行匹配以产生匹配定位者标准的被定位者用户概况的数据组。
基于该被定位者的数据组,定位者可以选择被定位者/参与指定游戏的参与者并通过其定位者通信装置11C和被定位者通信装置11d向所指定的被定位者发送诸如"捉人游戏,就是你"的文本消息。或者,系统8c可以不需要定位者的任何介入自动地确定被联系的被定位者,从而将文本消息或其他通信方式传送到被定位者的通信装置11d。
除了定位和匹配具有对娱乐业的类似兴趣的用户之外,系统8c可由用户/游戏者用于玩或参与诸如视频游戏等的游戏和/或与其他用户/游戏者互动而玩想要的或指定的游戏。按照与如上所述同样的方法,根据包含在特定游戏(包括指示与用户的固定或动态位置的距离的空间范围标识符)中每个用户的位置(静态的或动态的),系统8c允许用户与包含在游戏中的另一个个体/用户互动。
此外,定位者可以利用系统8c检索(通过其定位者通信装置11c)特定的娱乐地点(即电影院,娱乐场等)或特定的事件(即特定的影片,特定的游戏事件等)。系统8c也可以用于根据其用户概况向娱乐事件的用户发出警告。
在另一个实施例中,系统8c用于通过或不通过空间范围标识符的辅助根据个体的实时位置追踪某个个体("被定位者")。更具体地说,系统8c可用于定位在特定空间范围内移动的个体,并且当特定个体移动到指定空间范围以外时通知用户。此外,系统8c可用于不考虑个体的位置或相对于所指定空间范围的位置定位个体。
分析单元12c装载被定位者用户概况。此外,分析单元12c可以装载被定位者打算或被指令移动的想要的空间范围或路径,即被定位者打算的移动范围和/或被定位者目的地。分析单元12c追踪被定位者通信装置11d的位置并可以在被定位者通信装置11d移动到被定位者打算的移动范围和/或被定位者打算的目的地以外时向定位者通信装置11c发出警告。此外,分析单元12c可以在被定位者通信装置11d移动到地理参照坐标为"好区域"或"坏区域"时向定位者通信装置11c发出警告。系统8c可以要求被定位者同意在需要时通过被定位者通信装置11d追踪被定位者。
例如,父母可以要求通过系统8c追踪其孩子的移动。父母可以将孩子打算的目的地(有或没有想要的空间范围)输入到定位者通信装置11c中(将孩子打算的目的地输入到分析单元12c中),以便分析单元12c可以通过被定位者通信装置11d追踪孩子的移动,以及此外如果有指定的想要的空间范围并且孩子走到该想要的空间范围以外则可以通过父母的定位者通信装置11c向父母发出警告。还有,如果孩子移动到地理参照坐标为"好区域"(即学校等)或"坏区域"(即酒吧等),则分析单元12c可以通过父母的定位者通信装置11c向父母发出警告。
此外,用户可以按照与如上所述同样的方法通过追踪朋友的被定位者通信装置11d在诸如购物商场,足球场等位置中保持对朋友("被定位者")位置的追踪。在本实施例中,想要的空间范围可以或可以不被指定。此外,系统8c可以要求被定位者同意在需要时通过被定位者通信装置11d追踪被定位者。
系统8,8a,8b和8c的一个可选方面是"运行搜索"性能。本文所用的术语"运行搜索"的意思是指与物体的时间追踪相关联的物体的地理坐标参照。本文所用的术语"地理坐标参照"的意思是指对物体相关于X1,Y1坐标(预期位置或预期路径)和/或X1,Y1,Z1坐标(预期位置或预期路径)的位置O1的确定。本文所用的术语"时间追踪"的意思是指与个体和/或物体的预示和/或预期到达时间(Te)相关联的个体和/或物体的初始出发时间(Td)。运行搜索可应用于本文描述的本发明的每一个和所有的实施例。
运行搜索可以用于诸如移动商业服务(即车队管理,财产位置,以及现场销售和服务),娱乐服务(即游戏服务,个人定位服务,以及调情及其他"交际"服务),安全服务(即孩子定位服务,以及汽车路边援助),信息服务(即兴趣点标识,GPS导航支持,气象信息和数据,以及交通信息和数据),或需要利用或应用运行搜索的任何其他领域。
举例来说,一个带着其被定位者通信装置11d的小孩在上午8:00(Td)离开他的家(X1,Y1)并预期在上午8:30(Te)到达学校(X2,Y2)。小孩的父母可以通过例如将(1)标识小孩的被定位者通信装置11c的唯一标识码,(2)小孩打算的目的地(即学校)(有或没有想要的空间范围),(3)小孩的出发时间(Td)和(4)小孩的预计到达时间(Te)输入其定位者通信装置11c中而经由该定位者通信装置11c保持对小孩位置(O1)的追踪。然后定位者通信装置11c将(1)标识小孩的被定位者通信装置11c的唯一标志代码,(2)小孩打算的目的地(即学校)(有或没有想要的空间范围),(3)小孩的出发时间Td)和(4)小孩的预计到达时间(Te)输入到分析单元12c中,以使分析单元12c可以通过被定位者通信装置11d追踪小孩的移动,以及此外如果有指定的想要的空间范围并且孩子走到该想要的空间范围以外则可以通过父母的定位者通信装置11c向父母发出警告,和/或如果直到所输入的预计到达时间(Te)小孩还未到达学校则可以向父母发出警告,和/或可以关于小孩到达其打算的目的地的实际到达时间(Ta)和/或小孩的位置偏离如果有的所指定的预期位置和/或预期路径向父母发出警告。还有,如上所述,如果孩子移动到地理参照坐标为"好区域"(即学校等)或"坏区域"(即"酒吧"等),则分析单元12c可以通过父母的定位者通信装置11c向父母发出警告。
作为另一个实例,雇主使用雇主通信装置11a将雇员打算的目的地(即递送目的地)(有或没有想要的空间范围),雇员的出发时间(Td)和雇员的预计到达时间(Te)输入到雇主通信装置11a中(将雇员打算的目的地输入到分析单元12a中),以便分析单元12a可以通过雇员通信装置11b追踪雇员的移动,以及此外如果雇员走到如果有的所指定的想要的空间范围以外则可以通过雇主的雇主通信装置11a向雇主发出警告,和/或如果雇员直到所输入的预计到达时间(Te)还未到达递送目的地则可以向雇主发出警告,和/或可以关于雇员到达其打算的目的地的实际到达时间(Ta)和/或雇员的位置偏离如果有的所指定的预期路径向雇主发出警告。还有,如上所述,如果雇员移动到地理参照坐标的"好区域"或"坏区域"则分析单元12a可以通过雇主通信装置11a向雇主发出警告。
美国专利第6,505,123号,美国专利第6,754,585号,美国专利第6,836,730号和2004年1月14日申请的美国专利申请序列号第11/035,654号的全部内容通过引用而确切地结合在本文中。

Claims (9)
1.一种用于定位处于远离广播网的位置的至少一个个体的方法,包括下述步骤:
从与定位者相关联的通信装置接收用户概况标准,所述用户概况标准包括定位者的个人特征;
从与被定位者相关联的通信装置接收用户概况标准;
重复接收与定位者相关联的通信装置的实时空间位置;
将与定位者相关联的通信装置的实时空间位置存储在通信装置位置数据库中;
重复接收与被定位者相关联的通信装置的实时空间位置;
将与被定位者相关联的通信装置的实时空间位置存储在所述通信装置位置数据库中;
自动且不断地更新所述通信装置位置数据库,使得所述通信装置位置数据库包含指示通信装置的空间位置的实时数据;
将与定位者相关联的用户概况标准和与被定位者相关联的用户概况标准进行匹配,并且将存储在所述通信装置位置数据库中的指示与被定位者和定位者相关联的通信装置的空间位置的实时数据进行匹配,以产生具有相似用户概况标准并相对于与定位者相关联的通信装置在预定空间范围内的被定位者的数据组;以及
基于与定位者相关联的用户概况标准和与被定位者相关联的用户概况标准的匹配,向与定位者相关联的通信装置传送具有相似用户概况标准的被定位者的数据组。
2.如权利要求1所述的方法,其中,所述用户概况标准被输入到通信装置中。
3.如权利要求2所述的方法,其中,所述通信装置从由计算机、个人数字助理、移动电话和个人数字助理/移动电话的组合体构成的集合中选择。
4.如权利要求1所述的方法,其中,所述数据组包括存储/包含在用户输入数据库中的用户概况标准和输入的用户概况标准中的至少两个,所述方法进一步包括下述步骤:
基于将所输入的用户概况标准与存储/包含在所述用户输入数据库中的用户概况标准进行匹配的结果定位所述个体。
5.如权利要求1所述的方法,其中,所述数据组包括存储/包含在用户输入数据库中的用户概况标准和输入的用户概况标准中的至少两个,所述方法进一步包括下述步骤:
分析单元基于定位者标准与被定位者用户概况的匹配向被定位者通信装置中的一个传送定位者标准。
6.如权利要求5所述的方法,其中,被定位者的许可在向所述定位者通信装置发送有关被定位者的信息之前获得。
7.如权利要求1所述的方法,其中,所述定位者标准通过被定位者通信装置传输到所述被定位者。
8.如权利要求6所述的方法,其中,所述被定位者通信装置从由个人数字助理、移动电话、个人数字助理/移动电话的组合体以及寻呼机构成的集合中选择。
9.如权利要求1所述的方法,其中,被定位者的许可在传送与被定位者相关联的用户概况标准之前获得。
