Abstract

背景技术

具体实施方式
大量家庭同轴线缆安装通常由可能不熟悉SCTE转矩标准的"自己动手"的外行完成。在这些情况下,安装者可用手代替使用工具上紧同轴线缆连接器,这可导致连接器在初始安装时或在使用一段时间之后不当地就位。当接收较弱的信号时,客户可能呼叫CATV、MSO、卫星或电信提供者来请求维修服务。此类呼叫可造成可能派遣维修技术员到客户家里的CATV、MSO、卫星和电信提供商的成本。
此外,即使在根据适合的转矩要求上紧时,现有技术的连接器在一定时间内可趋于由于力(例如,振动、热膨胀和热收缩等)而与外部装置脱离。具体而言,提供连接器与外部装置的机械附接的有内螺纹的螺母可在一定时间内从外部装置的螺纹端口连接器后退或松开。一旦连接器变得很松,则同轴线缆与外部装置之间的电接触受破坏,导致较弱的连接。
图1A为处于组装构造且附接到同轴线缆56的端部上的示例性同轴线缆连接器110的透视图。如图1A中所示,连接器110可包括连接器本体112、锁定套筒114、可旋转螺母118和偏压元件115。在下文所述的实施例中,连接器110可紧固到电气装置(例如,电视机)的端口(未示出)上。偏压元件115可提供张力来减小螺母118变松或退出端口的机会。偏压元件115还可减少端口与同轴线缆之间的接地连接和/或防护连接的电连续性中断的机会。如下文所述,偏压元件115可以以不同方式实施。
图1B为已经准备好插入同轴线缆连接器(如,连接器10)或由同轴线缆连接器端接的同轴线缆56的示图。同轴线缆56包括由介电覆盖物60包绕的中心导线58。介电覆盖物60由箔62和金属编织物64包绕。编织物64由可为塑料的或任何其它绝缘材料的外覆盖物或夹套66覆盖。为了准备结合同轴线缆连接器使用的同轴线缆56,线缆56可使用剥线器剥除。如图1B中所示,通过除去介电覆盖物60的一部分露出中心导线58的一部分。箔62可保持覆盖介电层60。然后,金属编织物64向后折叠到夹套66上来与夹套66重叠。金属编织物64的重叠部分可部分地延伸过夹套66的长度。
图1C为处于未附接构造的同轴线缆连接器110的示例性后部部分的截面示图。如图1C中所示,除本体112和锁定套筒114之外,连接器110可包括支柱116。图1C还示出了例如沿箭头A的方向向前移动的插入连接器110中的同轴线缆56。支柱116可包括环形倒刺142(例如,沿径向向外延伸的斜面凸缘部分),当线缆56向前移动时,环形倒刺142被压迫在介电层60与编织物64之间。倒刺142还可便于线缆56的夹套66的扩张。然后,锁定套筒114可向前移动(例如,沿方向A)到连接器本体112中,以抵靠倒刺142夹持线缆夹套66,提供了线缆固持。在一个实施例中,O形环117可形成锁定套筒114与连接器本体112之间的密封(例如,不透水的密封)。

一旦同轴线缆56装固到连接器110中,则连接器110然后可附接到外部装置的端口连接器上。图1E示出了连接器110可连接到其上的端口连接器48的截面示图。如图1E中所示,端口连接器48可包括大致圆柱形的本体50,其具有外螺纹52,外螺纹52匹配可旋转的螺母118的内螺纹154。如下文进一步详细论述那样,螺母118的螺纹154与端口连接器48的螺纹52之间的可旋转螺纹接合可引起端口连接器48的后表面53接合支柱116的凸缘138的前表面140。支柱116的传导性质可提供从端口连接器48的表面53到围绕同轴线缆56的编织物64的电路径,提供了适当的接地和防护。还如下文更详细论述那样,偏压元件115可用于提供外螺纹52与内螺纹154之间的张力,减小了连接器110将意外地退出端口48的可能性。

图2A为示例性偏压元件115的透视图。如图所示,偏压元件115可包括后指部202的集合(单独为"后指部202")、前指部204的集合(单独为"前指部204")和环形部分206。环形部分206可连接和支承后指部202和前指部204。偏压元件115可由塑料、金属或任何适合的材料或材料组合制成。在一个实施例中,偏压元件115、螺母118和本体112由传导材料(例如,金属)制成,以提高端口连接器48与支柱116之间的传导性。

正如图19A和图19B中所示的连接器,图20中的螺母1518可旋转,使得螺母1518的内螺纹154接合端口连接器48的外螺纹52,以使端口连接器48的表面53与支柱116的凸缘138的前表面140接触或接近凸缘138的前表面140。在图20中所示的位置上,例如,偏压元件2015处于静止状态,且未提供任何张力。如上文所述,在与端口连接器48接触时,支柱116的传导性质可提供从端口连接器48的表面53至围绕同轴线缆56的编织物64的电路径,提供了适当的接地和防护。在端口连接器48的表面53接触支柱116的前表面140之后,螺母1518的继续旋转可使螺母1518相对于本体1512和支柱116向前移动。螺母1518可沿向前的方向相对于本体1512移动一定距离(未示出)。在此情况下,螺母1518的后壁1510可接触偏压元件2015的前壁2084。同样,本体1512的前壁1546可接触环形环2060。螺母1518的位移可使偏压元件2015从其静止位置(图20中所示)伸展至偏压位置(未示出),这类似于上文参照图19B的描述。偏压元件2015沿向后的方向提供张力至螺母1518上,且沿向前的方向提供张力至本体1512上。
当偏压元件2015移动至偏压状态时,其捕集到螺母1518的旋转的动能且将能量储存为势能。偏压元件2015沿向后的方向提供负载力至螺母1518上,且沿向前的方向提供负载力至本体1512上。这些力传递至螺纹52和154(例如,依靠与支柱116接触的端口48的后表面53,在该实施例中,支柱116相对于本体1512固定)。螺纹52和154之间的张力可减小螺母1518由于外力(如,振动、加热/冷却等)变得从端口连接器48松开的可能性。螺纹52和154之间的张力还增大端口48的圆柱本体50(例如,表面53)与支柱116(例如,前表面140)之间的连续接地和防护连接的可能性。在该实施例中,如果螺母1518变为部分松开(例如,通过一半旋转或完全旋转),则偏压元件2015可保持端口48的表面53与支柱116的前表面140之间的压力,这可有助于保持电连续性和防护。
图23A为另一个实施例中的示例性连接器2302的透视图。连接器2302包括螺母2318、偏压元件2315、连接器本体2312和锁定套筒2314。类似于偏压元件1515、偏压元件915和偏压元件2015,偏压元件2315可包括弹性体材料。为了易于理解,图24A为没有偏压元件2315的连接器2302的透视图。

如图27中所示,后部部分2504还包括在其外表面上的隆起图案2720。隆起图案2720可改善偏压元件2315与后部部分2504的附接。后部部分2504还可包括用于偏压元件2315与后部部分2504的附加附接的凹口2722。在包覆模制过程期间,凹陷2722可收纳偏压元件2315。此外,后部部分2504可包括用于收纳工具的外表面2724,工具用于将螺母2318紧固到电子设备的端口上。后部部分2504还可包括具有前凸缘2728的内表面2726。后部部分2504的内表面2726可包括离连接器2302的中心的直径,使得后部部分夹固在支柱116与连接器2302的连接器本体2312之间。
图28为偏压元件2315的透视图。偏压元件2315可模制在前部部分2502和后部部分2504上。图29为模制在前部部分2502和后部部分2504上的偏压元件2315的透视图。图30也是模制在前部部分2502和后部部分2504上的偏压元件2315的透视图,但是从后部视角。如下文更详细论述那样,偏压元件2315的一部分还可用作密封件3002。
图31A为没有偏压元件2315的连接器2302的截面示图(见图24A)。如图31A中所示,支柱116和本体2312夹固螺母2318的后部部分2504。图31B也是没有偏压元件2315的连接器2302的截面示图(相对于不同于图31A的平面)。如图31B中所示,螺母2318的前部部分2502可在后部部分2504防止前部部分2502进一步移动之前行进距离d7。

图33为如图32B中所示的偏压元件2315的截面示图。偏压元件2315包括内表面和外表面。外表面可包括具有用以改善偏压元件2315与操作者的手的附着的图案(例如,不平表面或隆起图案)的表面3308。外表面还可包括表面3310以允许工具使螺母2318旋转。内表面包括具有前壁3306和后壁3304的凹口3302。凹口3302、前壁3306和后壁3304可通过将偏压元件2315模制到外脊部2702(见图27)上来形成。前壁3306和后壁3304还可用于改善偏压元件2315与前部部分2502的附接。当前部部分2502移离后部部分2504时,例如,前缘3306可夹固前部部分2502的边缘2706,以使(例如,施加力至)偏压元件2315从其静止状态伸展至其偏压状态。密封件3002还可联接到后部部分2504上,例如,以保持偏压元件2315的后端被夹固,以便当前部部分2502移离后部部分2504时,偏压元件从静止状态伸展至偏压状态。
图34A为类似于图32A的具有处于静止位置的偏压元件2315的连接器2302的截面示图。图34B为在已经移动一定距离d7之后具有处于偏压状态的偏压元件的连接器2302的截面示图。螺母2318可旋转,使得螺母2318的内螺纹154接合端口连接器48的外螺纹52,以使端口连接器48的表面53与支柱116的凸缘138的前表面140接触或接近凸缘138的前表面140。在图34A中所示的位置上,例如,偏压元件2315处于静止状态,且未提供任何张力。如上文所述,在与端口连接器48接触时,支柱116的传导性质可提供从端口连接器48的表面53至围绕同轴线缆56的编织物64的电路径,提供了适当的接地和防护。在端口连接器48的表面53接触支柱116的前表面140之后,螺母2318的继续旋转可使螺母2318相对于本体2312和支柱116向前移动。螺母2318可沿向前的方向相对于本体2312移动距离d7。螺母2318的位移可使偏压元件2315从其静止位置(图34A中所示)伸展至偏压位置(图34B中所示)。偏压元件2015沿向后的方向将张力提供在螺母2318的前部部分2502上,且沿向前的方向(依靠抵靠相对于本体2312固定的支柱116的凸缘138的后部部分2504)将张力提供在本体1512上。
当偏压元件2315移动至偏压状态时,其捕集到螺母2318的旋转的动能且将能量储存为势能。偏压元件2315沿向后的方向将负载力提供在螺母2318的前部部分2502上,且沿向前的方向(依靠抵靠相对于本体2312固定的支柱116的凸缘138的后部部分2504)将负载力提供在本体2312上。这些力传递至螺纹52和154(例如,依靠与支柱116接触的端口48的后表面53,在该实施例中,支柱116相对于本体1512固定)。螺纹52和154之间的张力可减小螺母2318由于外力(如,振动、加热/冷却等)变得从端口连接器48松开的可能性。螺纹52和154之间的张力还增大端口48的圆柱本体50(例如,表面53)与支柱116(例如,前表面140)之间的连续接地和防护连接的可能性。在该实施例中,如果螺母1518变为部分松开(例如,通过一半旋转或完全旋转),则偏压元件2315可保持端口48的表面53与支柱116的前表面140之间的压力,这可有助于保持电连续性和防护。

如上文所述,所公开的实施例提供了包括偏压元件的同轴连接器,其中偏压元件构造成用以提供力来保持匹配的连接器与同轴线线缆之间的电路径。在一些实施例中,偏压元件在螺母和连接器本体(例如,偏压元件115, 915, 1215, 1515, 1815, 2015, 和 2315)外部。在一些实施例中,偏压元件可包绕螺母的一部分和连接器本体的一部分(例如,偏压元件115, 915, 1215, 1515, 1815, 2015 和 2315)。

Claims (21)
1.一种用于将同轴线缆联接到匹配连接器上的同轴线缆连接器,所述同轴线缆连接器,包括:
连接器本体,其具有前端和用于收纳线缆的后线缆收纳端;
螺母,其可旋转地联接到所述连接器本体的前端上;
环形支柱,其设置在所述连接器本体内以用于提供所述匹配连接器与所述同轴线缆之间的电路径;以及
偏压元件,其在所述螺母的外部且包绕所述连接器本体的一部分,其中所述偏压元件构造成用以提供力来保持所述匹配连接器与所述环形支柱之间的所述电路径。
2.根据权利要求1所述的同轴连接器,其特征在于,
所述连接器本体包括所述连接器本体的外表面上的向外突出的凸缘;
其中所述螺母包括所述螺母的外表面上的向外突出的凸缘,以及
其中所述偏压元件接触所述连接器本体的向外突出的凸缘和所述螺母的向外突出的凸缘以提供所述力。
3.根据权利要求2所述的同轴连接器,其特征在于,所述偏压元件包括环形部分,所述环形部分支承钩,所述钩钩挂到所述螺母的向外突出的凸缘和所述连接器本体的向外突出的凸缘上。
4.根据权利要求3所述的同轴连接器,其特征在于,所述钩包括面向前的钩和面向后的钩,其中所述面向前的钩构造成用以咬合到所述螺母的向外突出的凸缘上,以及所述面向后的钩构造成用以咬合在所述螺母的向外突出的凸缘上。
5.根据权利要求2所述的同轴连接器,其特征在于,所述偏压元件包括联接到所述螺母的环形凸缘和所述连接器本体的环形凸缘上的弹性体材料。
6.根据权利要求5所述的同轴连接器,其特征在于,所述偏压元件模制在所述螺母上或模制在所述连接器本体上。
7.根据权利要求5所述的同轴连接器,其特征在于,所述偏压元件模制在所述螺母和环形环上。
8.根据权利要求7所述的同轴连接器,其特征在于,所述偏压元件通过所述环形环联接到所述连接器本体的凸缘上。
9.根据权利要求8所述的同轴连接器,其特征在于,所述偏压元件或环形环构造成用以咬合到所述连接器本体的向外突出的凸缘上。
10.根据权利要求5所述的同轴连接器,其特征在于,所述偏压元件包括不平的外表面。
11.根据权利要求1所述的同轴连接器,其特征在于,所述偏压元件提供力来防止所述螺母退出所述匹配连接器。
12.一种用于将同轴线缆联接到匹配连接器上的同轴线缆连接器,所述同轴线缆连接器包括:
连接器本体,其具有前端和用于收纳线缆的后线缆收纳端;
螺母,其可旋转地联接到所述连接器本体的前端上,其中所述螺母包括用于匹配至所述匹配连接器的外螺纹的内螺纹;
环形支柱,其设置在所述连接器本体内以用于提供所述匹配连接器与所述同轴线缆之间的电路径;以及
偏压元件,其在所述螺母的外部且包绕所述连接器本体的一部分,其中所述偏压元件构造成用以提供力来保持所述螺母的内螺纹与所述匹配连接器的外螺纹之间的张力。
13.根据权利要求12所述的同轴线缆连接器,其特征在于,所述螺母包括前部部分和后部部分,其中所述前部部分和后部部分构造成沿轴向方向相对于彼此移动。
14.根据权利要求13所述的同轴连接器,其特征在于,
所述螺母的后部部分可旋转地夹固在所述连接器本体与所述支柱的凸缘之间,以及其中所述螺母的后部部分包括凹口,以及
其中所述螺母的前部部分包括所述螺母的前部部分的外表面上的向外突出的凸缘。
15.根据权利要求14所述的同轴连接器,其特征在于,所述偏压元件联接到螺母的前部部分的向外突出的凸缘和所述螺母的后部部分的凹口上。
16.根据权利要求14所述的同轴连接器,其特征在于,所述偏压元件为模制在所述螺母的前部部分和所述螺母的后部部分上的弹性体材料。
17.根据权利要求16所述的同轴连接器,其特征在于,所述弹性体材料形成所述连接器本体与所述螺母的后部部分之间的密封元件。
18.根据权利要求14所述的同轴连接器,其特征在于,所述螺母的前部部分包括面向内的凸缘,以及所述螺母的后部部分包括面向外的凸缘,其中所述面向内的凸缘和所述面向外的凸缘抵靠来防止所述螺母的前部部分和所述螺母的后部部分沿所述轴向方向远离彼此移动。
19.一种用于将同轴线缆联接到匹配连接器上的同轴线缆连接器,所述同轴线缆连接器包括:
连接器本体,其具有前端和用于收纳线缆的后线缆收纳端;
螺母,其可旋转地联接到所述连接器本体的前端上,其中所述螺母包括用于匹配至所述匹配连接器的外螺纹的内螺纹;
环形支柱,其设置在所述连接器本体内以用于提供所述匹配连接器与所述同轴线缆之间的电路径;以及
偏压元件,其在所述螺母的外部,其中所述偏压元件构造成用以提供力来保持所述支柱与所述匹配连接器之间的电接触。
20.根据权利要求19所述的同轴线缆连接器,其特征在于,所述偏压元件包括弹性体材料。
21.一种用于将同轴线缆联接到匹配连接器上的同轴线缆连接器,所述同轴线缆连接器包括:
连接器本体,其具有前端和用于收纳线缆的后线缆收纳端;
螺母,其可旋转地联接到所述连接器本体的前端上;
环形支柱,其设置在所述连接器本体内以用于提供所述匹配连接器与所述同轴线缆之间的电路径;以及
弹性体偏压元件,其在所述螺母的外部且包绕所述连接器本体的一部分,其中所述偏压元件构造成用以提供力来保持所述匹配连接器与所述环形支柱之间的所述电路径。
