背景技术
电动车辆是使用一个或多个用于推进车辆的电动机的车辆。电动机由车辆车载的可再充电电池进行供电。由于电动车辆由车载电池进行供电,所以它们的行驶范围被它们的电池中的电量所限制。当车辆的电池电量低时,车辆可以在充电站进行再充电。然而,目前用于电动车辆的充电站数量有限。这里所描述的实施例示出了用于识别充电站位置并且用于将车辆引导至充电站的改进的方法。

图1是根据一个实施例的车辆通信环境100的高层次框图。图1图示了通过无线通信网络108进行连接的电动车辆(EV)102、移动设备106和服务提供商服务器110。服务提供商服务器110可以在其存储器中包括充电站数据库112和充电站更新模块114。
电动车辆102表示包含用于推进车辆102的一个或多个电动机的车辆。电动机由车辆102装载的可再充电电池进行供电。当车辆102连接至外部电源时对车载电池进行充电。例如,可以通过将车辆102连接至从电网汲取电力的充电站来对电池进行充电。还可以使用再生制动或者通过可以是车辆102的一部分的其它技术或系统对车载电池进行充电。在一个实施例中,电动车辆120是纯电动的,因为其仅具有电动机。在另一个实施例中,电动车辆102具有电动机和内燃机两者。在一些实施例中,电动车辆102可以具有任意数量的电动机(例如,每个车轮处的、选定车轮上的或者以其它配置形式的电动机)和/或内燃机,并且它们可以串行(例如,如在扩展范围的电动车辆中)、并行或者以串行操作和并行操作的某种组合进行操作。
电动车辆102包括远程信息处理-导航设备104,在一些实施例中,远程信息处理单元并不包括导航功能。远程信息处理-导航设备104表示与耦合至无线通信网络108的实体以及处于短距离无线通信协议112的范围之内的实体交换信息的设备。远程信息处理-导航设备104可以经由短距离无线通信协议112与移动设备106进行通信。短距离无线通信协议112是使用短的无线电波长在短距离上交换数据的协议。因此,协议112的通信范围是有限的。在一个实施例中,短距离无线通信协议112是在一些实施例中,使用其它类型的点对点通信或支持网络的通信。例如,可以使用WiMax作为具有数英里范围的点对点通信协议。

返回到图1,服务提供商服务器110A和110B表示用于执行对于电动车辆102和/或移动设备106的服务的实体。在一个实施例中,服务提供商服务器110向电动车辆102和移动设备106提供信息以允许它们执行某些功能。例如,服务提供商服务器110可以向车辆102和移动设备106提供车辆102和/或移动设备106可以显示或用来执行其它操作的充电站信息、交通信息、天气信息、道路条件信息、地图信息、位置信息和行车路线(drivingdirections)。虽然图1中仅示出了两个服务提供商服务器110,但是可以将任意数量的服务提供商服务器110连接至无线通信网络108。
无线通信网络108表示电动车辆102、移动设备106和服务提供商服务器110之间的通信路径。在一个实施例中,无线通信网络108是由多个基站、控制器以及通常包括多个交换实体和网关的核心网络所组成的蜂窝网络。在一个实施例中,无线通信网络108是在有限区域上提供无线通信的无线局域网(WLAN)。在一个实施例中,WLAN包括将该WLAN连接至互联网的接入点。无线通信网络108可以包括卫星。
图2是图示根据一个实施例的远程信息处理-导航设备104的详细视图的高层次框图。远程信息处理-导航设备104包括处理器202、输入设备204、输出设备206、收发器设备208、位置检测设备210和存储器212。
处理器202对数据信号进行处理并且可以包括各种计算架构,包括复杂指令集计算机(CISC)架构、精简指令集计算机(RISC)架构或者实施指令集组合的架构。虽然在图2中仅示出了单个处理器,但是可以包括多个处理器。处理器202包括算术逻辑单元、微处理器、通用计算机或者被配备以对来自存储器212、输入设备204、输出设备206、收发器设备208或位置检测设备210的电数据信号进行传输、接收和处理的一些其它信息装置。

收发器设备208表示允许远程信息处理-导航设备104经由无线通信网络108和短距离无线通信协议112与实体进行通信的设备。收发器设备208被远程信息处理-导航设备104用来与移动设备106和服务提供商服务器110进行通信。虽然示出了单个收发器设备208,但是应当理解的是,远程信息处理-导航设备104可以包括多个收发器设备。例如,一个收发器设备可以被配置为经由无线通信网络108进行通信,而另一个收发器设备则可以被配置为经由短距离协议112进行通信。在一个实施例中,收发器设备208用于以下一种或多种通信:红外通信、IEEE802.11a/b/g/n/p通信、3G通信、3GPP长期演进(LTE)、IEEE802.16(或WiMax)通信或射频通信。预见到还可以使用其它协议。
在一个实施例中,短距离无线通信协议112是并且收发器设备208被用于蓝牙通信。收发器设备208经由蓝牙的通信范围是有限的。通常,取决于收发器设备208和障碍物,经由蓝牙的通信范围达到100米。收发器设备208仅经由蓝牙和与之建立连接的设备进行通信。只要设备处于范围之内或者直到设备之一终止连接,与设备的连接就会持续。
通常,第一次在两个设备之间建立连接的时候,设备必须进行配对。配对过程由第一设备发起,其使得其蓝牙链接对于第二设备是可见的。第二设备识别第一设备并且向第一设备发送连接请求。如果该请求被第一设备所接受,则为它们的连接创建链接密钥并且由两个设备存储该链接密钥。一旦该链接密钥已经被两个设备存储,则配对过程完成并且可以经由蓝牙交换数据。已经配对的两个设备可以在处于彼此的范围之中时自动建立与彼此的连接。这里,远程信息处理-导航设备104与电动车辆驾驶员的移动设备106配对。如果多个驾驶员使用电动车辆102,则远程信息处理-导航设备104可以与每个驾驶员的移动设备进行配对。预见到可以使用其它配对方法。
位置检测设备210表示与多个定位卫星(例如,GPS卫星)进行通信以确定电动车辆102的地理位置的设备。在一个实施例中,为了确定车辆102的位置,位置检测设备210搜索处于位置检测设备210视野内的四个或更多GPS卫星并且从其收集GPS信息或信号。使用每个信号的广播时间和接收时间之间的时间间隔,位置检测设备210计算车辆102和四个或更多GPS卫星中的每一个之间的距离。这些距离测量连同信号中所接收的位置和时间信息一起共同允许位置检测设备210计算车辆102的地理位置。在可替换实施例中,可以使用不同于定位卫星的系统和/或技术来确定车辆的位置。作为示例,可以使用蜂窝电话塔台的三角测量或者街道标志的视觉识别来确定位置。这里给出了另外的技术。
存储器212存储可由处理器202执行的指令和/或数据。该指令和/或数据可以包括用于执行这里所描述的任意和/或所有技术的代码。存储器212可以是动态随机访问存储器(DRAM)设备、静态随机访问存储器(SRAM)设备、闪存RAM(非易失性存储器)、以上各项的组合或者本领域已知的某些其它存储器设备。存储器212包括车辆通信模块214、路线模块216和充电站模块218。该模块适于与处理器202、输入设备204、输出设备206、收发器设备208和/或位置检测设备210进行通信。
路线模块216向电动车辆102的用户提供到目的地的行车路线。当从用户接收到对于到目的地的路线的请求时,路线模块216从位置检测模块210获取车辆102的当前地理位置。基于当前位置和目的地,路线模块216从地图数据库220获取矢量地图。地图数据库220包括多个矢量地图。在一个实施例中,矢量地图识别出充电站和其它设施/兴趣点(POI)(例如,餐厅、商店、学校、医院和银行)的位置。
路线模块216在地图中定位当前位置和目的地。路线模块216识别出从当前位置到目的地的多条路线。在一个实施例中,路线模块216基于用户标准选择路线中的一条路线,诸如最快路线、最短路线、最少拥堵路线、最具能量效率的路线、街道路线、高速路路线。在一个实施例中,路线模块216使用来自一个或多个服务提供商服务器110的信息(例如,交通和天气信息)来选择路线。在另一个实施例中,路线模块216向用户呈现所识别的路线并且允许用户选择路线。路线模块216通过输出设备206提供有关如何经由所选择的路线到达目的地的路线。
充电站模块218包括与充电站相关的信息,包括包含地址和/或地理坐标的位置信息、可用性(运行的、预留)、兼容性信息(例如,连接器类型、充电类型(标准、快速等))。在可替换实施例中,该信息可以是地图数据库220的一部分。这里的讨论因此还可以用来更新地图数据库220。
图3是图示根据一个实施例的移动设备106的详细视图的高层次框图。移动设备106包括处理器302、输入设备304、输出设备306、收发器设备308和存储器310。
移动设备106的处理器302、输入设备304、输出设备306和收发器设备308具有与远程信息处理-导航设备104的处理器202、输入设备204、输出设备206和收发器设备208相似的功能。因此,出于简要的目的,省去这些设备的功能描述。
此外,移动设备106的存储器310具有与远程信息处理-导航设备104的存储器210相似的功能。然而,移动设备106的存储器310包括与远程信息处理-导航设备104的模块不同的模块。移动设备106的存储器310包括移动设备通信模块312、充电站模块314和车辆信息数据库318。上述模块适于与处理器302、输入设备304、输出设备306和收发器设备308进行通信。
在驾驶电动车辆102时,在离开家时一般所关心的问题是驾驶员能否使其到达他/她的目的地。在驾驶员关注车辆的当前充电状态(SOC)是否将可以使其到达目的地的情况下,电动车辆102可以识别附近的充电站并且可以生成到充电站的路线。
常规系统例如通过每年例如在DVD上发布新的数据库而定期更新车辆地图数据库220。数据库制造商可能需要访问诸如充电站之类的POI以确认位置的准确性以及在生成更新的数据库时引入额外延迟和成本的相关信息。即使进行了这样的预防措施,这些更新也会即刻过时。例如,在图4中所示的示例中,不准确/过时的充电站位置在驾驶员依赖于这样的位置并且由于地址错误或者因为兴趣点(POI)的地理坐标不同于充电站的地理坐标而相应地驾驶到不正确位置的情况下会带来问题。
如果车辆的充电状态(SOC)基本上用尽,则拥有不准确的坐标可以导致车辆耗尽电量并且需要拖车以便到达充电站。此外,过期数据库可能包括不准确的充电站信息(例如,充电连接器的类型),这也可能导致车辆在到达正确的充电站之前耗尽其电源。
图4是其中充电站的位置不同于由车辆导航系统针对充电站所在的兴趣点所识别的位置的实施例的图示。如以上所描述的,路线模块216在地图220中定位当前位置和目的地。路线模块216识别从当前位置到目的地的多条路线。
充电站的位置可以存储在车辆自身之中(例如,在充电站模块218或地图数据库220中),以及/或者车辆可以通过连接至远程服务器而经由其远程信息处理单元来访问位置。车辆可以识别处于车辆范围之内的那些充电站。例如,如果电动车辆具有60英里的剩余范围,但是车辆距离最终目的地有90英里,则车辆可以识别处于60英里范围之内的那些充电站,并且还可以识别需要从计划路径绕道最短的那些充电站。在实施例中,路线模块216识别使得车辆可以以对计划路径最小的干扰到达充电站的路线,并且还可以识别电动车辆102需要充电多久以便完成到目的地的行程。如这里所描述的,该充电时间例如可以基于最大可用电量、充电站的效率和车辆电池的状态。
在另一个实施例中,车辆的导航系统/路线模块216可以沿路径将驾驶员指引到最终目的地并且建议出沿途的各个充电地点。车辆还可以检查各个充电站的可用性并且向驾驶员提供(或者将车辆指引到)具有可用充电端口的那些充电站。
可能存在车辆导航系统/路线模块216将驾驶员指引到充电站但是该充电站处于没有GPS信号或者蜂窝电话信号的位置或者处于远离兴趣点地址的位置的情形。因此,虽然驾驶员可以成功到达车库或兴趣点,但是可能存在将驾驶员指引到实际充电站的问题。图4(a)图示了车辆中示出充电站位置(例如,处于加利福尼亚SanJose的SantanaRowMall)的显示器。图4(a)是示出该位置的小比例尺地图。SantanaRowMall可以具有存储在地图数据库220中的地址“加利福尼亚,SanJose,SantanaRow386号”。如具有比图4(a)的比例尺大得多的比例尺的图4(b)中所示,该位置402具有地理坐标(37.320487,-121.947795)。然而,如图4(b)中所示,充电站的位置404远离POI的位置402。试图定位充电站的驾驶员需要比仅通过拥有POI地址而提供的关于充电站的位置的精度更大的精度。如图4(c)中所示,充电站具有地理坐标(37.322685,-121.949595)。此外,充电站例如由于插口连接类型而仅与某些车辆兼容,这些实施例的好处在于该信息或者经由充电站的“特性”被直接识别或者被间接识别,由于车辆中的连接类型已知,充电站数据库将包括连接的类型和/或与车辆的兼容性,并且这些实施例可以具有仅显示与车辆兼容的充电站的选项。
图5是依据一个实施例的用于由车辆确定包括充电站的位置在内的特性的方法的流程图。该过程的目的是用于识别新的充电站或者用于更新充电站数据库中的现有充电站的所识别的特性,该充电站数据库例如存储在充电站模块218和/或远处服务器110中。当车辆到达充电站并且开始502充电时,车辆确定504该车辆是否在家充电。这可以基于最新的已知GPS坐标、充电器的类型等。如果充电站是用户的家庭站点,即私人充电站,则该处理可以结束,因为在实施例中,私人/家庭充电站无需包括在充电站模块218和/或远程服务器110中的充电站数据库中。如果504充电站并非处于驾驶员家中(或者以其他方式被识别为私人充电站),则充电站模块218(或其他软件)确定506车辆的GPS(地理)坐标在引擎关闭时是否是已知的。如果506地理坐标是已知的,则车辆确定510诸如连接器类型、充电电压(标准/快速/其它)、位置和/或可用性之类的充电站特性。包括位置在内的充电站信息可以被发送526并且作为充电站数据库的一部分被存储在充电站模块218中以及/或者被传输526至包括充电站数据库112的中央服务器110。该传输526(或726)可以在充电的同时或者在随后(例如,在车辆引擎启动之后)发生。这里给出了关于中央服务器110的附加细节。
在可替换实施例中,可以通过识别在车辆到充电站的连接被移除之后(例如,在车辆重新启动并移动之后)发生的位置(例如,距离、方向和海拔)的变化来确定充电站的位置。距离变化的确定可以以类似于这里关于步骤508或708所描述的方式而例如使用陀螺仪和车轮脉冲传感器来完成。当GPS信号对车辆再次可用时,可以通过利用所确定的位置信息的变化对由GPS信号所识别的位置进行修改来确定充电站位置。在实施例中,使用车辆的位置来估计充电站位置,该估计由于车辆连接至充电站因而是令人满意的。在该实施例中,车辆是用于准确地识别并验证充电站位置和特征的探头。
如果506车辆的GPS坐标在引擎关闭时并非是已知的,则位置检测设备210使用最新已知的GPS位置并且随后基于可以提供方向信息和海拔信息的陀螺仪读数连同可以提供距离信息和转向信息的车轮脉冲信息一起来估计508车辆的当前位置。预计到可以使用附加的车辆传感器信息来辅助估计车辆的当前位置。在另一个实施例中,还可以使用蜂窝电话塔台的三角测量或者街道标志的视觉识别来辅助确定当前位置。在一些实施例中,充电站是联网的,因此例如使用蓝牙连接可以在车辆和联网的充电站之间直接进行连接。如以上所描述的,车辆的GPS坐标在车辆处于被覆盖的停车库/区域或者GPS系统无法工作的情况下可能是无法使用的。
图6是依据一个实施例的用于更新远程服务器110和/或车辆中的充电站数据库的方法的流程图。在实施例中,在步骤526(或步骤726)中所传输的充电站信息被充电站模块218和/或远程服务器110接收,并且充电站模块218和/或远程服务器110中的充电站数据库被更新。为了便于讨论,将参考远程服务器110中的充电站数据库112的更新对以下描述进行表述。远程服务器110接收602充电站信息。充电站更新模块114确定604该充电站信息是否对应于已经存在于充电站数据库112中的充电站。该确定可以检查充电站的一个或多个参数(诸如充电站的位置、连接器类型、充电电压、可用性、兼容性等)。如果604该充电站信息对应于现有充电站,则充电站更新模块114利用该信息更新606充电站数据库112,这可能包括从其接收到更新信息的时间戳和车辆标识符。
如果604该充电站信息不对应于现有充电站,则充电站更新模块114定位/识别608最近的已知充电站并且确定最近的已知充电站和新近识别的充电站之间的距离。在一个实施例中,充电站更新模块将当前充电站与数据库中具有类似特性(例如,具有类似的连接器类型、充电电压等)的那些充电站进行比较。在其它实施例中,是与所有充电站进行比较。如果612该距离小于阈值(例如5-50米),则充电站更新模块114假设该充电站与最近的已知充电站相同并且基于在步骤602中所接收的信息更新606充电站信息数据库112。
如果612该距离大于阈值,则充电站更新模块114假设其已经接收到新的充电站的信息并且基于在步骤602中所接收的信息在充电站数据库112中创建614新的充电站记录。
在实施例中,充电站数据库112包括验证协议,其中在从多个车辆或从单个车辆多次接收到类似信息之后更新数据库112。必须接收以便满足该验证协议的类似信息的次数/车辆数可以不同。在实施例中,第一次接收到新信息,在更新606充电站信息或创建614新的充电站记录之前,该信息可以连同指示类似信息已经被接收的次数的计数器一起被存储在相关数据库或者充电站数据库114的相关记录中。一旦该计数器达到验证协议中的阈值,就可以更新606充电站信息或者可以创建614新的充电站记录。
图7是依据一个实施例的用于由车辆确定充电站的特性的方法的流程图。图7是图5中所给出的方法的可替换实施例。当车辆到达充电站并且开始702充电时,车辆确定704该车辆是否在家中充电。如以上所描述的,这可以基于最新的已知GPS坐标、充电器的类型等。如果704该充电站是用户的家庭站点(即私人充电站),则该过程可以结束,因为在实施例中,私人/家庭充电站无需包括在充电站模块218和/或远程服务器110中的充电站数据库中。如果704充电站并非处于驾驶员家中(或者,并非例如,以其他方式被识别为私人充电站),则充电站模块218(或其它软件)确定706车辆的GPS(地理)坐标在引擎关闭时是否是已知的。
如果706车辆的GPS坐标在引擎关闭时并非是已知的,则位置检测设备210使用最新的已知GPS位置并且基于可以提供方向信息和海拔信息的陀螺仪读数连同可以提供距离信息和转向信息的车轮脉冲信息一起来估计708车辆的当前位置。如以上所描述的,预计到可以使用附加的车辆传感器信息来辅助估计车辆的当前位置。在另一个实施例中,还可以使用蜂窝电话塔台的三角测量或者街道标志的视觉识别来辅助确定当前位置。该过程随后以步骤710继续。
如果706地理坐标在引擎关闭时是已知的,则车辆确定710诸如连接器类型、充电电压(标准/快速/其它)、位置和/或可用性之类的充电站特性。包括位置在内的信息可以作为充电站数据库的一部分被存储在充电站模块218中以及/或者被传输至包括充电站数据库的中央服务器110。这里给出了关于中央服务器110的附加细节。为了减少车辆和远程服务器110之间的通信业务量,在该实施例中,当数据库有所变化时发送更新。充电站模块218随后确定720充电器特性是否对应于现有充电站。该确定720可以基于地理坐标。如果充电站模块218确定720没有充电站处于在引擎关闭时基于GPS坐标或者由以上步骤708中所概括的过程所确定的地理位置处或其附近,则充电站模块218可以可选择地创建722新的充电站记录并且将该充电站记录和相关信息发送726到充电站更新模块114以及/或者可以更新车辆的充电站数据库。
如果充电站模块218确定720地理位置对应于现有充电站,则充电站模块218可以通过将所确定的充电站特性与车辆的存储器212中的充电站数据库中所存储的特性相比较来确定是否724有任何充电器特性已经发生变化。如果724已经有任何充电器特性发生变化,则充电站模块218可以将充电站信息发送726至充电站更新模块114以及/或者可以更新车辆的充电站数据库。
说明书中对“一个实施例”或“实施例”的引用意味着结合该实施例所描述的特定特征、结构或特性包括在至少一个实施例中。短语“在一个实施例中”在说明书中各处的出现并不一定都指代相同的实施例。

Claims (12)

1.一种用于识别充电站信息的系统,包括:
车辆,所述车辆包括:
连接器,用于将所述车辆耦合至充电站,所述连接器被配置为从所述充电站接收第一信号;
电池,用于通过所述连接器接收所述第一信号以增加由所述电池存储的能量;
充电站信息确定设备,用于确定所述充电站信息,所述充电站信息包括:
所述充电站的位置,其在所述连接器耦合至所述充电站时基于所述车辆的位置;
充电插口连接类型,其指示所述充电站与所述车辆连接器的兼容性;以及
所述充电站的可用性;以及
传输设备,用于传输所述充电站信息,
其中所述充电站信息确定设备包括:
能够接收位置信号的位置信号接收器;以及
位置估计设备,其使用距离测量设备和海拔确定设备基于在不再接收到所述位置信号之后发生的移动来确定所述车辆的位置变化,并且通过在所述连接器耦合至所述充电站时基于所述位置信号和所述位置变化的确定来确定所述车辆的所述位置而确定充电站位置。
2.根据权利要求1所述的系统,其中所述距离测量设备包括用于基于车轮旋转确定所行驶的距离的车轮脉冲单元并且所述海拔确定设备包括陀螺仪。
3.根据权利要求1所述的系统,进一步包括:
远程服务器,所述远程服务器包括:
远程充电站数据库;以及
更新模块,用于在接收到的所述充电站信息与所述远程充电站数据库中的现有充电站实质上不匹配时,用关于新充电站的信息来更新所述远程充电站数据库。
4.根据权利要求1所述的系统,其中所述位置信号是GPS信号。
5.一种用于识别充电站信息的方法,包括以下步骤:
将车辆经由连接器耦合至充电站,所述连接器被配置为从所述充电站接收第一信号;
在所述连接器耦合至所述充电站时确定所述充电站信息,所述充电站信息包括:
所述充电站的位置,其在所述连接器耦合至所述充电站时基于所述车辆的位置;
充电插口连接类型,其指示所述充电站与所述车辆连接器的兼容性;以及
所述充电站的可用性;以及
由所述车辆传输所述充电站信息,
其中确定所述充电站信息的步骤进一步包括以下步骤:
接收位置信号;以及
基于在不再接收到所述位置信号之后发生的移动来确定所述车辆的位置变化,并且通过在所述连接器耦合至所述充电站时基于所述位置信号和所述位置变化的确定来确定所述车辆的所述位置而确定充电站位置。
6.根据权利要求5所述的方法,其中确定位置变化的步骤包括以下步骤:
使用车轮旋转测量来测量所行驶的距离;以及
使用陀螺仪测量来测量方向和海拔的变化。
7.根据权利要求5所述的方法,进一步包括以下步骤:
在远程服务器处接收所述充电站信息;以及
在接收到的所述充电站信息与远程充电站数据库中的现有充电站实质上不匹配时,用关于新充电站的信息来更新所述远程充电站数据库。
8.根据权利要求5所述的方法,其中所述位置信号是GPS信号。
9.一种用于识别充电站信息的设备,包括:
用于将车辆耦合至充电站的连接器,所述连接器被配置为从所述充电站接收第一信号;
用于在所述连接器耦合至所述充电站时确定所述充电站信息的装置,所述充电站信息包括:
所述充电站的位置,其在所述连接器耦合至所述充电站时基于所述车辆的位置;
充电插口连接类型,其指示所述充电站与所述车辆连接器的兼容性;以及
所述充电站的可用性;以及
用于由所述车辆传输所述充电站信息的装置,
其中用于确定所述充电站信息的装置进一步包括:
用于接收位置信号的装置;以及
用于基于在不再接收到所述位置信号之后发生的移动来确定所述车辆的位置变化、并且通过在所述连接器耦合至所述充电站时基于所述位置信号和所述位置变化的确定来确定所述车辆的所述位置而确定充电站位置的装置。
10.根据权利要求9所述的设备,其中用于确定位置变化的装置包括:
用于使用车轮旋转测量来测量所行驶的距离的装置;以及
用于测量方向和海拔的变化的陀螺仪。
11.根据权利要求9所述的设备,进一步包括:
用于在远程服务器处接收所述充电站信息的装置;以及
用于在接收到的所述充电站信息与远程充电站数据库中的现有充电站实质上不匹配时用关于新充电站的信息来更新所述远程充电站数据库的装置。
12.根据权利要求9所述的设备,其中所述位置信号是GPS信号。
