技术领域
在一些实施例中,本发明针对可基于接触到水层后由合成物提供的扩展的蔓延区域或涂层提供残余优点的自动附着)合成物。此外,该合成物具有在不同的温度和湿度条件下更强的稳定性,同时具有对硬表面更强的自附着力,如例如陶瓷表面、马桶、玻璃、窗户、门、淋浴室墙壁或浴室墙壁等。此外,由于包含了一定的线性伯醇的混合物或某些乙氧基线性伯醇混合物,所述合成物已经在制造过程中改善了作为成品的稳定性。
背景技术
通过适当的吊挂装置来将容器中的清洗剂和/或消毒剂和/或芳香剂挂在马桶边缘,由此,所述剂会在每次冲洗时被释放到马桶里,这是众所周知的方法。
这种方法虽然有效,但一些消费者并不使用这样的装置,原因在于需要用手来移除已经用过的装置等等。例如,消费者可能会认为这样的装备不卫生或令人讨厌。

被分配到马桶内的示范卫生剂可以是固体块、液体和凝胶的形态。
美国专利第6667286号公开了一种粘贴或凝胶形式的清洁剂,其提供长期持久的清洁剂和/或除臭剂释放和/或消毒效果,并可被以一种简单和卫生的方式直接应用到马桶表面上。美国专利公开第2008/0190457号公开了一种自粘式清洁块,其可被直接应用到马桶表面上。本发明提供一种改善了的可提供更大的稳定性的这种清洁剂,例如,可长期使用并可自己附着到硬表面上的,尤其是如马桶的陶瓷表面上。

此处所用的“合成物(composition)”,是指具有一个以上成分的任何固体、凝胶和/或粘贴的物质。
此处所用的“自动附着力/自我附着力(self adhesive)”,是指合成物的不需要单独的胶粘剂或其他支持装置粘到硬表面上的能力。在一个实施例中,自动附着合成物,一旦合成物用完,不留任何残余或其他物质(即,额外的粘合剂)。
此处所用的“凝胶(gel)”,是指由具有非零屈服应力聚合物或相互作用粒子的网的液体构成的无序的固体。
此处所用的“香料(fragrance)”是指任何香味的、消除异味的、气味掩蔽剂等及其组合。在一些实施例中,香料是指是可能对消费者或用户的嗅觉产生影响的任何物质。
此处所用的“wt.%”是指总分子式中的实际有效成分的重量百分比。例如,买来不用改就用的(off-the-shelf)混物X的合成物可包含70%有效成分X。因此,10g买来不用改就用的合成物只含7g的X。如果10g买来不用改就用的合成物被加入到90g其他成分中,那么最终混物中X的wt.%只有7%。

硬表面可以是任何形状、大小或适合其预期目的的任何方向。在一个非限制性例子中,硬表面可以是朝向垂直配置的窗户。在另一非限制性例子中,硬表面可以是弯曲的表面,如陶瓷马桶。在另一非限制性例子中,硬表面可以是管道内侧,其具有纵向和横向的元素还可能具有弯曲的元素。应了解,形状、大小和/或硬表面的方向不会影响本发明的合成物,因为所述条件下的合成物的超出意料的强劲传送属性。
此处所用“表面活性剂”是指降低液体表面张力的任何剂,例如水。适于所述的本发明使用的示例性表面活性剂。在一个实施例中,表面活性剂可从阴离子的、非离子的、阳离子的、两性的(amphoteric)、两性离子的(zwitterionic)及其组合的组中选出。在一个实施例中,本发明不包括阳离子表面活性剂。在其他非限制性实施例中,表面活性剂可以是超级湿润剂(superwetter)。本领域技术人员很容易得知,在一些实施例中,可用作附着力增进剂的物质也可用作表面活性剂。
在使用时,本发明的合成物,可直接应用于要被处理的硬表面上,例如:要被清洗的马桶、淋浴器或浴缸的外壳、排水设施、窗户等上,并可自体附着于其上,也包括通过流经自动附着合成物和表面上的多个水流自动附着,如马桶的冲洗、淋浴、冲洗等。每次水流过合成物之上,合成物的一部分都会释放到流过合成物上的水中。释放到水中的这部分合成物覆盖的表面,提供一种持续的湿膜表面,来反过来提供立即可进行的和长期的由存在于合成物中的活性剂提供的清洁和/或消毒和/或和芳香作用以及其他表面处理。据认为,合成物及其内的活性剂,可从直接接触的表面上分散开并从原合成物位置上传送开来,来连续地在表面上涂抹一个扩展区域的湿膜。湿膜作用为涂层,并从自动附着合成物中在所有方向上发散出来,如从合成物的360°方向上,其中包括反冲洗水流动的方向。液体的表面运动,加上表面下面的流体或液体的运动,通常使液体产生表面张力,反之亦然。凝胶和/或活性成分的运动机理将在下文更详细描述。
令人惊讶的是,观察的是,本发明的非限制性示例性合成物提供更快速和更扩展的自体扩散。不希望通过理论限制,可以认为这种自体扩散效果可以通过添加合成物的特定表面活性剂来进行修改。认为影响自体扩散速度和距离的因素的非限制性例子包括:存在的表面活性剂的量、存在的表面活性剂的类型、存在的表面活性剂的组合、表面活性剂在水流上扩散的量、表面活性剂吸附在液体/空气界面上的能力、要处理的表面的表面能(surfaceenergy)。据认为,合成物的表面活性剂作用为推动其他分子,如周围的复合物,来将这些复合物传送到表面的其他部分上。用于被扩展传送到要被处理的表面上的可取的复合物是活性剂,如是活性的而不是惰性或静态的剂。可使用的活性剂或活性成分的非限制性例子包括:清洁复合物、杀菌剂、抗菌剂、漂白剂、芳香剂、表面改性剂,染色防喷剂(如螯合剂(chelator)))之类及其组合。该合成物尤其是处理马桶表面上要有用,因为它允许在表面上在马桶的水位线之上并同时在水位线之下传送和保留活性剂。
在一些实施例中,合成物可被使用任何合适的喷头装置直接应用到表面上,如泵型或注射器型装置、或机械化装置、气溶胶装置或喷雾器。消费者可以无需触摸表面就激活应用程序直接向表面撒施合成物。马桶表面的情况,这提供一个卫生且应用方便的方法。用户可以选择合成物的数量和位置,如一个或多个合成物的液流或液滴,或一个或多个合成物线。合成物自粘到其被应用的硬表面上,如陶瓷马桶或浴室墙侧壁。传统装置无法提供的一个令人惊讶和独特的功能是,该合成物可被传送到位于表面上应用该合成物的位置之上的表面上。

在一个实施例中,合成物具有凝胶或凝胶样的浓度。在描述的实施例中,合成物因此是一层薄膜而不是固体一样的硬。在另一实施例中,合成物是固体。在此外的另一实施例中,合成物是可塑性固体。
本发明的合成物所获得的改进的附着力,允许被应用到垂直表面上,且不会随着时间的推移因为多次冲洗的水流和渐进的洗涤变得脱离合成物的一部分,来提供所需的清洗和/或消毒和/或芳香等处理活动。一旦合成物被完全冲洗掉,没有任何需要去除的物质留下,只需简单应用更多地合成物。
在一些实施例中,合成物可包括:附着力增进剂,其可以与水结合,赋予给定的合成物即使在施加冲洗水的条件下也可维持的稳定性;至少一种非离子表面活性剂(可全部或部分作为附着力增进剂),最好是乙氧基醇;至少一种阴离子表面活性剂,最好是碱金属烷基醚硫酸盐或磺酸盐;矿物油;线性伯醇混合物或乙氧基线性伯醇混合物,其中,该混合物的每个醇都包括含有9至17个碳原子的碳原子链(此处为便于描述也将其分别简称为“线性C9-C17伯醇混合物”和“乙氧基线性C9-C17伯醇混合物”);水;和可选的至少一种溶剂。特别是,亲水性聚合物将合成物保持到表面上来增强维持并由此延长扩散时间,且因此,扩大用于处理表面和/或周围环境的活性剂的传送。在一些实施例中,合成物还可包括一种超级湿润剂复合物,来增强湿膜的扩散。合成物无需外部悬挂装置或把持装置呈现,由此,在经过的相当长的时间之后,只需要将合成物对表面重新应用而不用拆去任何装置。线性C9-C17伯醇混合物和乙氧基线性C9-C17伯醇混合物的每一个都作用为在处理期间降低合成物的凝胶温度,这允许合成物可以以较低的温度来进行处理,从而减少合成物成分的减退或减退的机会。因此,对线性C9-C17伯醇混合物和乙氧基线性C9-C17伯醇混合物的包括,可提供更稳定的成分,且从而提供更稳定的产品。本发明的合成物一个关键参数就是附着力。一般来说,要提高产品的性能,就得提高合成物的附着属性。但是,当附着力增加,那么合成物的凝胶点(gel point)也增加。理想的最佳产品性能是,最大限度地降低处理温度,保持平衡的凝胶点,同时在运输、储存和使用条件下保持合成物的凝胶结构。此性能可以通过对线性C9-C17伯醇混合物和乙氧基线性C9-C17伯醇混合物的包括来获得,该混合物作用为,将凝胶点减少或抑制到对附着力影响最小的所需值,来发起并最大化凝胶粘度。
在一些非限制性的例子中,也有一些本发明合成物的成分适于处理硬表面。在一个实施例中,合成物包括附着力增进剂,其以从约20wt.%至约80wt.%的量存在。在另一个实施例中,合成物包括附着力增进剂,其以从约20wt.%至约60wt.%的量存在。在另一个实施例中,合成物包括附着力增进剂,其以从约40wt.%至约60wt.%的量存在。在另一个实施例中,合成物包括附着力增进剂,其以从约20wt.%至约30wt.%的量存在。
在另一个实施例中,合成物包括大于7.5wt.%的至少一种表面活性剂.在另一个实施例中,合成物包括从7.5wt.%至约20wt.%的至少一种表面活性剂。令人惊讶的是,据发现,提供表面活性剂的最佳用量,尤其是阴离子表面活性剂,可具有特别强的“泡沫”的特点,提供的产品可大大取悦消费者。
在一个实施例中,合成物包括小于约5wt.%的非极性的碳氢,如矿物油。在另一个实施例中,合成物包括合成物包括从大于0wt.%至约5wt.%的矿物油。在另一个实施例中,合成物包括0.5wt.%至约3wt.%的矿物油。

在一些实施例中,合成物可100wt.%使用任何用于所需应用的合适的材料。本领域技术人员应明白,这包括但不限于平衡的水、表面改性剂、杀菌剂、漂白剂、清洁剂、起泡剂等及其组合。
作为选择,本发明的合成物可进一步包括量为从0wt.%至约15wt.%的至少一个溶剂,且所述合成物可进一步包括量为从0wt.%至约15wt.%的至少一个芳香剂。此外,合成物可包括量为从0wt.%至约5wt.%的亲水性聚合物,来增强合成物的传输效果。在一个实施例中,“溶剂”不包括水。
进一步的可选成分是超级湿润剂(superwetter)。不希望通过理论限制,被认为超级湿润剂可增强使用合成物提供的湿膜。可用于本发明合成物的超级湿润剂将在下文详细介绍。在另一个非限制性实施例中,额外的可选成分包括合适量的传统的佐剂如防腐剂、着色剂、泡沫稳定剂、抗菌剂、杀菌剂等。
适合用作附着力增进剂的示例成分,可为至少有一部分是亲水性的、大部分是线性的、具有长或长链分子,从而包括至少一个亲水性残余或亲水性组来提供与水分子的相互作用。最好是,附着力增进剂具有分枝分子来形成所需的网状结构来形成附着力促进分子。附着力增进剂可以是完全亲水性或部分亲水性部分疏水性的。
适合在本发明中使用的示例性纯附着力亲水性增进剂包括,例如,聚乙二醇,纤维素,尤其是羧甲基纤维素钠、羟乙基纤维素、羟丙基纤维素,或多糖,如黄原胶(xanthan gum)、琼脂(agar)、结冷胶(gellan gum)、阿拉伯胶(acacia gum)、长豆角豆粉(carob bean flour)、瓜尔豆胶(guar gum)或淀粉。多糖能形成具有必要的坚固性和足够的粘性的网,在从0wt.%至约10wt.%;从0wt.%至约5wt.%;和从1wt.%至约2wt.%的浓度。
附着力促进分子可以是合成或天然的聚合物,例如,聚丙烯酸、多糖、聚乙烯醇或聚乙烯吡咯烷酮(polyvinyl pyrrolidones)。也可使用藻酸盐(alginates)、聚氨酯(diurethanes)、明胶(gelatines)、果胶(pectines)、油醇胺(oleyl amines)、烷基二甲基胺氧化物(alkyl dimethyl amine oxides)或烷基醚硫酸盐(alkyl ether sulfates)。
具有亲水性和疏水性端的有机分子也可被用作附着力增进剂。亲水性残余,例如,聚烷氧基团,最好是聚乙氧基、聚丙氧基或聚丁氧基(polybutyoxy)、或混合的聚烷氧基团,如聚(乙氧基丙氧基)团也可被使用。尤其是最好作为亲水性端使用的,例如,包括从15到55乙氧基团的聚乙氧基残余(polyethoxy residua),最好是从25至45的、更好是从30至40的乙氧基团。
在一些实施例中,阴离子基团,例如,磺酸盐,碳酸盐或硫酸盐,可用于亲水性端。在其他实施例中,硬脂酸,尤其是钠或硬脂酸钾,适合作为附着力增进剂。
在其附着力促进分子也具有疏水性端的实施例中,直链烷基残余是疏水性残余的首选,即尤其是首选偶数烷基残余,因为其具有更好的生物降解。不希望通过理论限制,据认为,要获得所需附着力促进分子网络的形成,该分子应该是分枝的。
如果烷基残余被选为疏水性的残余,那么优选具有至少12个碳原子的烷基残余。更好的是长度是从16到30个碳原子的烷基链,最好的是长度从20至22个碳原子的。
示例性附着力增进剂是聚烷氧基链烷(polyalkoxyalkanes),最好是具有从18到50个环氧乙烷基(EO:ethylene oxide groups)的、最好是从25到35个EO的C20到C22烷基乙氧基混合物,和十二烷基苯磺酸钠(sodiumdodecylbenzene sulfonate)。随着烷氧基数量的减少,附着力增进剂变得更加亲脂性,据此,例如,香水的溶解度可提供,从而芳香的强度可提高。
一般在水性体系中作为增稠剂的分子,例如,亲水性物质,可也被用作附着力增进剂。
不希望通过理论限制,据认为,要使用的附着力增进剂的浓度,取决于它的亲水性和它形成网络的力量。当使用多糖时,例如,从约1wt.%至约2wt.%的附着力增进剂的浓度就足够;而在包括聚烷氧基烷烃(polyalkoxyalkanes)的实施例中,其浓度需要被形成为从约10wt%至约40wt.%;在另一个实施例中从约15wt%至约35wt.%;在另一个实施例中是从约20wt%至约30wt.%。
不希望通过理论限制,据认为,为了通过吸收水生产所需数量的具有附着力促进分子的附着网,合成物可包括至少约25%重量的水,其他溶剂可选。在一个实施例中,所述合成物包括从约40wt.%至约65wt.%的水。本领域技术人员应明白,要使用的水的量除其他事项外取决于所使用的附着力增进剂和混物中的佐剂的量。
适合使用的示例性阴离子表面活性剂包括碱金属C6-C18烷基醚硫酸盐例如:十二烷基醚硫酸盐;α-烯烃磺酸盐或甲基金化物(methyl taurides)。其他合适的阴离子表面活性剂包括烷基的碱金属盐类,烯基和烷基硫酸盐和磺酸盐。一些这样的阴离子表面活性剂具有一般的分子式RSO4M或RSO3M,其中R可以是约8至约20碳原子的烷基或烯基,或其烷基部分可以是约9约15碳原子的直链或支链烷基的烷基组,其芳基部分可以是苯基或其衍生物,且M可以是碱金属(如铵、钠、钾或锂)。
适合使用的示例性非离子型表面活性剂包括具有18至50烷基乙氧基团(EO:ethylene oxide groups)的C20-C22环氧乙烷。在另一实施例中,包括25至35环氧乙烷基团的C20-C22烷基乙氧基,最好作为附着力增进剂和非离子表面活性剂。
适合使用的其他非离子表面活性剂的非限制性例子包括烷基多苷(alkylpolyglycosides),如美国俄亥俄州辛辛那提市汉高(Henkel,Cincinnati,Ohio,USA)的GLUCOPON商标下的。烷基多苷有下列分子式:RO-(R1O)x-Zn。其中R是包含8至20个碳原子的单价烷基(monovalent alkyl radical(所属烷基可以是直链或分支的、饱和或不饱和的),O是氧原子,R′是含有2至4个碳原子的二价烷基,最好是乙烯或丙烯,x是具有0到12的平均值的一个数字,Z是含有5或6个碳原子的还原性糖成分,最好是右旋糖(glucose)、半乳糖(galactose)、葡萄糖(glucosyl)、半乳糖残(galactosyl residue),n是具有1到10的平均值的一个数字。详细的各种烷基糖苷的论述见美国法定发明注册H468和美国专利第4565647号,此处参照纳入。一些示例性GLUCOPONS(其中Z是葡萄糖基且X=0)如下见表A。

适合使用的其他非限制性非离子表面活性剂的例子,包括醇乙氧基化物(alcohol ethoxylates),如德国路德维希港(Ludwigshafen,Germany)的巴斯夫公司(BASF)贸易名称LUTENSOL下的。这些表面活性剂的一般分子式为C13H25/C15H27-OC2H4)n-OH(烷基是C13/C15的混合物)。特别优选LUTENSOLAO3(n=3),AO8(n=8)和AOlO(n=10)。其他醇乙氧基化物包括与(OC2H4)浓缩的二级脂肪醇(secondary alkanols),如TERGITOL 15-S-12,来自陶氏表面活性剂(Dow Surfactants)的与12(OC2H4)浓缩的C11-C15二级脂肪醇可用。适合使用的非离子表面活性剂的另一个例子是聚氧乙烯(4)十二烷基醚。胺氧化物也适合使用。
至少一个溶剂可存在于合成物中以协助混合表面活性剂和其他液体。溶剂以从约0wt.%至约15wt.%的量存在,优选从1wt.%至约12wt.%,更优选是从约5wt.%至约10wt.%的量。适合使用的有机溶剂的例子是多至8个碳原子的脂肪醇(aliphatic alcohols);多至6个碳原子的烯二醇(alkylene glycols);每个烯基(alkylene group)具有多至6个碳原子的聚亚烷基二醇(polyalkyleneglycols);每个乙二醇基(glycol group)具有多至6个碳原子和每个烷基具有多至6个碳原子的烯二醇(alkylene glycols)或聚亚烷基二醇(polyalkylene glycols)的单或烷基醚;和每个乙二醇基具有6个碳原子和每个酯基中具有多至6个碳原子的单或酯的烯二醇或聚亚烷基乙二醇。溶剂的具体例子包括叔丁醇(t-butanol)、T-戊醇(t-pentyl alcohol)、2,3-二甲基-2-丁醇(2,3-dimethyl-2-butanol)、苯甲醇(benzyl alcohol)或2-苯乙醇(2-phenyl ethanol)、乙二醇(ethylene glycol)、丙二醇(propylene glycol)、二丙二醇(dipropylene glycol)、丙二醇单-N-丁基醚(propylene glycol mono-n-butyl ether)、二丙二醇单-N-丁基醚(dipropylene glycol mono-n-butyl ether)、丙二醇单-N-丙醚(propylene glycolmono-n-propyl ether)、二丙二醇单-N-丙基乙醚(dipropylene glycol mono-n-propyl ether)、二乙二醇单甲醚二甘醇单-N-丁基醚(diethylene glycol mono-n-butyl ether)、二丙二醇甲基醚(diethylene glycol monomethyl ether)、三乙二醇(triethylene glycol)、丙二醇酸酯(propylene glycol monoacetate)、丙三醇(glycerin)、乙醇(ethanol)、异丙醇(isopropanol)、二丙二醇酸酯(dipropyleneglycol monoacetate)。首选溶剂是聚乙二醇(polyethylene glycol)。
据认为,将非极性烃包含于内,如矿物油,可有助于实现更高的稳定性和对硬表面的自我附着力,特别是陶瓷表面。矿物油以基于合成物的总重量重量大于0%至重量约5%的量存在。在一个实施例中,矿物油以从约0.5%wt.%至约3.5wt.%的量存在。在另一个实施例中,矿物油以从约0.5%wt.%至约2wt.%的量存在。被包含于内的矿物油的量取决于混物的平衡的附着力性能。不希望通过理论限制,据认为,矿物油的量增加,附着力也有所增加。
虽然它在合成物中被使用的时候提供了优点,但是据认为,将更大量的矿物油包括于内而不减少表面活性剂和/或增稠剂和/或附着力增进剂的量,会使合成物变得粘稠到一定程度,导致在制造和使用过程中对合成物的处理困难,因为合成物的硬度会造成难以处理。在制造过程中,该处理会在升高的温度下进行,这样也会由于温度升高增加制造成本并产生其他方面的困难。
在本发明的合成物中包括线性伯醇混合物或乙氧基线性伯醇混合物,其中混合物的每个醇都包括碳原子链长含有9至17个碳原子,已发现在为合成物中存在的所述线性伯醇混合物或乙氧基线性伯醇混合物的每0.1wt.%降低合成物的凝胶温度约2℃上是有利的。线性C9-C17线性伯醇混合物或乙氧基线性C9-C17伯醇混合物的包括,使得清洁产品可在较低的温度下进行生产,由此降低合成物的至少一些成分退化或退化的机会,提高成分的稳定性,并因此可以提高合成物的稳定性。由此由于产品成分增强的稳定性获得清洁属性提高的产品。
线性C9-C17伯醇混合物或乙氧基线性C9-C17伯醇混合物的加入而带来的凝胶温度的降低,是有利的,因为组成清洁合成物的一些成分的原材料不能在45℃以上的温度下处理。在处理过程中降低凝胶温度,由此可以减少这种材料在加工过程中发生任何降解而导致存在于合成物中的所有成分的量和属性变化。这个也必然可以提供更具成本效益的产品,因为没有发生任何降解而不需要使用大量的这些成分。线性伯醇混合物或乙氧基线性伯醇混合物的加入,通过保持合成物的凝胶点被抑制来最小化合成物处理温度并在运输、保存和使用条件下维持所需凝胶结构,来使得合成物的附着力提高由此可提高产品性能。此处描述的混合物用来减少凝胶点到所需的值,同时最小地影响附着力属性、驱动力和最大凝胶粘度。
适合在本发明中使用的非限制性的线性C9-C17伯醇混合物的例子包括:C12和C13醇、C9至C11醇、C12至C15醇、C14和C15醇、C1l-C13-C15醇、C16和C17醇、C10至C12醇,以及这些混合物的乙氧基化物。壳牌公司(Shell Company)的商标NEODOL下的这些醇可以在市场上买到。线性C9-C17伯醇混合物的例子包括:NEODOL 23、NEODOL 91、NEODOL25、NEODOL 45、NEODOL 135、NEODOL 67and NEODOL 1。混合物的醇的通用分子式是CnH(2n+1)OH,其中N=9-17。

作为适合作为C9-C17伯醇混合物及其乙氧基混合物使用的混合物的明显的例子,少量其他线性伯醇可存在,例如,来自提供混合物方式的副产品。对发明的合成物有用的线性醇混合物和乙氧基线性醇混合物包括具有C9-C17链长的醇,该混合物的主要成分一起提供存在的醇的主要部分。混合物中没有非线性醇存在。
此处有用的亲水性聚合物的非限制性例子包括基于丙烯酸和丙烯酸酯的醇,例如,美国专利6593288、6767410、6703358和6569261号中描述到的。合适的聚合物在罗地亚(Rhodia)以MIRAPOL SURF S的商标名称销售。首选的聚合物是MIRAPOL SURF S-500。

在一个实施例中,凝胶合成物包括少于6wt.%的香料。在另一个实施例中,凝胶合成物包括0wt.%至6wt.%的香料。在另一个实施例中,凝胶合成物包括0wt.%至约5wt.%的香料。在又一实施例中,凝胶合成物包括从2wt.%至约5wt.%的香料。
在一个实施例中,固体合成物包括小于10wt.%的香料。在另一实施例中,固体合成物包括从0wt.%至10wt.%的香料。在另一个实施例中,固体合成物包括从2wt.%至8wt.%的香料。在又一实施例中,合成物包括从4wt.%至7wt.%的香料。
根据本发明的合成物通过自体粘合而附着到硬表面上。固体、凝胶和凝胶类材料尺寸稳定,由此它们不会通过流于其上的多个水流“跑”或“滴”。据认为消费者喜欢这样的合成物,因为甚至在多次水冲洗之后合成物的附着力和形状会仍然完好。包括矿物油的示例性合成物B如下表所示。

如上文所述,本发明的合成物可直接应用于卫生物件表面进行清洗,如马桶、淋浴或浴缸的外壳等,通过流于自粘性合成物之上的多个水流自动粘于其上,例如,如冲洗水或淋浴水。每次水流过合成物之上,合成物的一部分就被释放到表面上,同时合成物也溶入水中来提供长时间的清洗、消毒、芳香、预防色斑、表面改性、防紫外线、美白、漂白等等。据认为,通过将沿硬表面向合成物并没有事先放上去的区域提供合成物的扩散或传输的上述成分包括于合成物中,可从合成物中可获得任何残余优点。更具体地说,该合成物和合成物的活性剂,从原合成物的位置上在接触表面的方向上向外扩散或传送,来在表面上镀上一层扩展的周边区域。液体表面的运动,加上水下的液体或流体的这些,使得液体的运动通常产生表面张力,反之亦然。表面张力梯度所造成的夹带液体和表面的运动,被称为马兰戈尼效应(Marangoni马兰戈尼effect)(IUPAC化学术语(IUPAC Compendium ofChemical Terminology),第二版,1994)。由此,本发明的合成物提供,液体沿着液体-空气界面从具有低表面张力的区域向具有高表面张力的区域流动。该马兰戈尼流是宏对流(macro convection),例如,即界面张力中的梯度被由一种不对称施加到系统上,与微对流(micro convection)相反,该微对流中的流是由时间扩增(不稳定)干扰生成的。因此,当水流过本发明的合成物之上,合成物向外扩散来覆盖扩展的相邻的表面区域,而不是只覆盖所在处的或是紧邻的合成物的区域。

正如上文所述,存在一些用来传输活性成分到周围表面上的合成物。但是,大部分上述合成物依靠液体的重力或附着力内聚(adhesion-cohesion),作为将合成物传送到周围表面的唯一的凝聚力。同样,传统的液体浴室清洁剂或浴室清洁技术中相似的合成物,经常需要用户使用刷子或其他工具来手动将合成物扩散到表面上。
令人惊讶的是,据发现,尽管传输现象很复杂,但是合成物的传输属性可以通过向合成物添加特定的表面活性剂和其他成分来增强。更令人惊讶的是,当合成物存在与液体层中时合成物可被用作活性成分的容器。
提到硬表面,如马桶,据认为,通过提供根据本发明的合成物,可为消费者提供额外的好处,也就是将接触或其他互动的量限制在消费者和马桶之间。这种最小化了的互动,可通过以下来实现,即,取出合成物的能力的平均,通过由表面活性剂诱发的表面张力梯度,来从厕所(或其他硬表面)一个区域移动。因此,据认为,当用户冲洗厕所时,液体层(来自冲洗水的)与合成物的互动会导致凝胶合成物沿表面张力梯度迁移,由此将合成物围绕厕所移动。
技术人员明白,上面描述的传输机制可被用于被提供以液体层的任何硬表面,而不一定限制于在马桶上使用。例如,可以设想,用户可将合成物提供到上有水或其他液体提供的水槽、窗户或其他任何硬表面上。其余示例性表面已通篇描述。
处理硬表面注意事项
合成物的自扩散,基于存在于合成物中的表面活性剂从活性处理剂提供涂层效果和残余优点。被认为可能影响自我扩散的速度和距离的非限制性因素,除合成物需直接接触要被处理的表面和水流流过合成物之上和周围的基本要求之外,就是除水流中散发的表面活性剂的比率或量之外存在的表面活性剂的量和类型。
令人惊讶地发现,当如上所述控制表面活性剂的量和溶解时,该产品能够从最初的产品应用领域向外360°覆盖扩展面积。此外,也如上所述,在包括有效成分的实施例中,合成物可提供表面的初始和/或进一步残留处理。扩散的速度是很显著的,因为所需扩散程度必须在将面上的水干燥之前完成,因为水是提供连续薄膜的必要成分。
使用方法
如上所述,本发明的合成物,可被用来在应用到表面上时对硬表面提供即时的和/或残余的优点,其中该表面会受到水或其他液体冲洗,这将提供一个表面能量梯度层。
在一个实施例中,本发明的合成物可通过以下步骤来包括:(1)应用一个或多个剂量的合成物到硬表面上;(2)暴露硬表面,并随后曝露一个或更多的剂量的合成物,对液体层,来提供向外扩散并且消散的合成物层。使用产品的方法可进一步包括可选步骤:(3)暴露硬表面,并随后暴露向外扩散并消散的合成物层,对液体层来提供进一步向外扩散并消散的合成物层。本领域技术人员可知,本步骤(3)可无限期地重复,直到合成物完全消退。在一些实施例中,该液体层是水。
如上文所述,硬表面,可以从以下的组中选择:陶瓷、玻璃、金属、高分子聚合物、纤维玻璃、压克力(acrylic)、石材及其组合等。
液体层可通过适合所需功能的任何手段提供。例如,在马桶中,一个剂量的合成物可被应用到马桶内表面(陶瓷硬表面),且厕所可被冲洗来提供便于在马桶周边合成物传输的必要的液体层。在另一个例子中,一个剂量的合成物可被用于窗户的外表面。窗户的外表面可被用户使用软管或电力洗涤器用水喷洒,或者雨水也可作为液体层存于窗户之上。在另一个例子中,一个剂量的合成物可被用于水槽或排水管内。用户可只需单纯地激活水龙头对水槽或排水管提供一层水。还有一个例子,一个剂量的合成物可被应用于浴室的墙壁上。用户可激活淋浴器来对表面提供一个液体层。在此外的另一个例子中,设想也可提供蒸汽或湿度较高的液体层。
本领域技术人员会明白,本发明合成物的不同的应用和实施例可与不同的活性成分或剂提供,其根据所需应用而不同。
使用方法:分配注意事项
存在用于凝胶状物质的喷头。例如,PCT国际专利申请WO 03/043906和WO 2004/043825公开的示例性分配装置。但是,上述分配器在对表面上应用粘合剂凝胶状物质上成功,但一些用户可能会发现,无法提供可控制的剂量。具体来说,消费者意识到超额应用该产品可能是一种浪费并会导致购买不必要的续充产品,而过少的使用将会降低合成物的处理效果。
在美国专利第2007/0007302A1号中描述了一个非限制性示例性分配器,其可提供计量剂量的合成物,其可与本发明的合成物兼容。不希望通过理论限制,据认为,消费者可能会更喜欢以统一化的、离散的剂量提供本发明合成物,因为这种装置关系到消费者相对容易地使用装置控制剂量的大小。
此外,本领域技术人员会明白,当与计量分配器一起使用时,该分配器可以以任何体积和/或大小和/或剂量提供合成物来用于所需应用。同样,分配器的形状可以是所需的任何形状。例如,图1示出了一个分配器10的示例性实施例,其可用于分配根据本发明的凝胶合成物20。分配器10包括圆柱形主体11和凝胶合成物20盛放于内。分配器10进一步包括电阻按钮13,其适合被用户按入引导洞14,之后滑动引导构件15在负y方向将凝胶合成物20推向分配器口12。在移动引导构件15了一个预定的距离时,按钮13之后“伸出”下一个引导洞14来允许精确剂量的合成物被分配。分配器10的截面17-17可以是用于所需目的的任何形状。在一个实施例中,截面17-17可为环形。截面形状的非限制性例子可从以下选择:方形、圆形、三角形、椭圆形、星形及其组合等。
在一个实施例中,根据本发明的一个合成物可被提供到一个提供统一化剂量的分配器中。在一个特定的实施例中,统一化的剂量是每剂量约4克至约10克。在另一个实施例中,统一化的剂量是每剂量约5克至约9克在又一实施例中,分配器可提供每剂量约6克至约8克的统一化剂量。在另一实施例中,分配器可提供每剂量约3克至约12克的统一化剂量。在一些实施例中,分配器可另外重新装填合成物。

合成物附着力
除了合成物的流动性之外,令人惊讶的发现是,合成物附着在硬表面上的能力提供额外的意想不到的优点,如产品在使用过程中的寿命较长。产品必须具备在内表面至少附着5个小时的能力,如下文测试结果所述。在一个实施例中,产品具有大于8小时左右的最低附着力。在另一个实施例中,产品具有从约8个小时约70小时的最低附着力。

合成物的凝胶温度
据认为,对合成物非常重要的一个额外属性是,即使在相对较高温度下也能保持其形式的能力。与附着力类似,保持它的形式的能力并耐融化。具体来说,这种度量标准测量随合成物冷却合成物粘度转变为大于100cps的温度。此外,具有相对高的合成物凝胶温度可提供加工、制造、运输、生产和包装上的优势。
在一个实施例中,合成物具有超过500℃的凝胶温度。在另一个实施例中,合成物的凝胶温度约50℃至约80℃。仍然在另一个实施例中,组成合成物的凝胶温度约为50℃约70℃。

合成物粘度
在一些非限制性实施例中,本发明的合成物是用于处理硬表面的自附着凝胶或凝胶状合成物的形式。合成物是自附着凝胶的实施例中,合成物粘度为从约15000cps约100000cps。在另一个实施例中,粘度是从约25000cps至约80000cps。在又一个实施例中,粘度是从约30000cps至约60000cps。
合成物的凝胶温度通过下文所述的粘度试验来测量。粘度基于80帕斯卡(Pascals:Pa.s)在25℃以10个剪切测量。

表面扩散方法
“传输速率因子”如下所述来衡量。
磨砂或蚀刻玻璃的12″×12″窗被安装在平底盆中,该平地盆大到足以支持玻璃窗。向该盆提供用于排水的手段使水不积聚在玻璃窗表面,且实验是在约22℃的室温环境条件下执行。玻璃窗使用4″×4″瓷砖被支持到水盆底部的顶端上——窗的底部边缘的每条边一个瓷砖。中间4英寸窗不接触底部,由此水可以从玻璃窗上流下并掉落。
玻璃窗的并列,使玻璃窗从盆的底部倾斜角度呈约39°。
从第一边缘至相对的边缘向玻璃窗提供0.5英寸的测量标记。
玻璃漏斗(40毫米长×15毫米ID出口,包括>100毫升)被提供约3.5″,在玻璃窗的9″标记之上。
用常温水清洗玻璃窗,以除去微量表面活性剂。冲洗清洗过的玻璃窗,直到窗户上观察不到有波纹扩散。
将约7g样品(约1.5“直径圆圈的凝胶)的合成物在0标记处应用于玻璃窗。四个烧杯(每个约200毫升)的水在上方9″高度点处被慢慢地倒在玻璃窗上,并允许从玻璃窗上流下来来影响合成物。
约一分钟后,漏斗被随后插入,并被提供以约100毫升的水。另外100毫升的水被慢慢地倒在玻璃窗上约9″标记处。约10秒后,将塞子移除,在漏斗里的水流到玻璃窗上的同时开始计时。
观察到,合成物上的流动水膜的表面上有波纹在玻璃上逐渐蔓延开,将合成物到达5″标记处的时间记录。
重复试验10次,并求出平均秒数并将其作为“传输速率的因子”报告(秒数)。
附着力试验
合成物附着在示例性硬表面上的能力被测量,如下所述。
工作区的温度为约86°F至约90°F。工作区的相对湿度设置为约40%至约60%。
提供被配置为(黏合并用薄泥浆填塞的)3×4(3为y方向,4为x方向)并包括12个4.25″×4.25″标准等级而有光泽的后面有不碎玻璃的陶瓷瓷砖的板子。
板子被使用纤维素海绵用温自来水(约75°F至约85°F)冲洗。板子之后被用温自来水彻底重新冲洗。用异丙醇饱和的不起毛的的布(如WI的尼纳(Neenah)的金佰利国际公司(Kimberly Clark Worldwide)的)擦拭整个板子。
板子被放置在水平位置(即,板子被平放在地板或实验室工作台上等)。
提供直径约1.5″、重量约5.5g至8.0g的样品到板子的表面上,使样品的底部接触最顶端、水平方向的(即X方向)板子的灌浆线。样品彼此间隔大约2″。使用永久性标记来划一条直线平行于x方向)在最顶端的灌浆线下方约0.75″处。
然后将板子在垂直位置放置(即板的平面垂直于地板或实验室工作台)。在板子被移动到垂直位置的同时开始计时。测量样品滑下瓷砖样品直径1.5倍距离的时间并将其记录为“样品附着力时间”。
粘度试验
使用根据制造商的规格的布氏(Brookfield)温度控制的科恩/板粘度计(Cone/Plate Viscometer)(MA的Middleboro的布氏工程实验室公司((BrookfieldEngineering Laboratories,Inc.))。在装置上使用的具体参数是:10个剪切率;C-25-1Cone;240秒斜坡下降的80℃至25℃的温度。装置以帕斯卡(Pa.s)提供粘度测量值。
凝胶温度实验
使用根据制造商的规格的布氏温度控制的科恩/板粘度计。在装置上使用的具体参数是:10个剪切率;C-25-1Cone;240秒斜坡下降的80℃至25℃的温度。合成物冷却时合成物粘度转变为大于100cps的温度,被报告为凝胶温度。
示例1:沿水膜的传输
本发明提供的合成物的马兰戈尼效应的范围和速度令人惊讶,用于说明其的实验如下所述。
使用清洁剂(″The Works″厕所和浴室清洁剂(20%HCl))和刷子清洗两次传统的白色马桶(科勒有限公司(Kohler Co.),Kohler,WI),以确保马桶的陶瓷表面上不存在任何材料。在水中呈蓝色染料的5%的溶液被喷洒到马桶表面上,来在整个马桶表面超过水位线以上处提供基本上为甚至是蓝色的涂层。目测染料保持大约均一的蓝色并大约静止和不移动约一分钟。冲洗厕所并将染料冲洗走。
将呈一块的一如上文所述的重约7g的合成物的样品作为“样品2”应用在马桶上的水位线以上的一个位置。马桶之后被冲洗,所以水在合成物上并沿马桶的内表面流下。此后,蓝色染料溶液被再次喷洒在马桶表面上覆盖用蓝色表示的整个水位线以上区域。目测大约两分钟后,观察到,在当前视觉上马桶的白色表面上,很明显地蓝色染料因从合成物发散出的材料从应用的合成物在所有方向移动。两分钟结束时,从表面上蓝色染料的必要减少很明显地看到合成物覆盖约一半马桶表面。不希望通过理论限制,它被认为是,合成物通过发生的马兰戈尼效应扩散。
由于合成物在马桶上的扩散,存在于合成物中的一个或多个活性剂所图谋的活动(如清洗,消毒和/或熏香)可以在扩展区域获得,并可在之后的使用中在表面上提供残余优点,来防止产生聚集或水渍残留。
示例2:矿物油对凝胶合成物的附着力
含有0、0.1、0.5和wt.1%(分别是样品E至H)的矿物油的约7克根据本发明的合成物的样品,被根据本文所述的附着力试验方法(Adhesion TestMethod)进行了测试。样品E至H中的每一个的两个实验,被根据如下所述的附着力试验方法应用到瓦板(tile board)上。图2A至图2E分别是在8.5小时、9.5小时、11小时、12.5小时和15小时的瓦板的照片。令人惊讶的是,据发现,相对较低wt.%矿物油的合成物,往往比具有相对较高的wt.%的矿物油的样品具有较低的附着力。
用于非乙氧基和乙氧基线性伯醇混合物的测试
可取的是,保持合成物凝胶点与最小化产品制造过程中的加工温度之间的平衡并同时保持凝胶结构以确保增加附着力来提高产品性能。这个属性要在运输、储存和使用条件下维持。线性C9-C17伯醇混合物及其乙氧基混合物的使用,有助于将凝胶点减少至所需的值并最小地影响附着力、执行力和最大凝胶粘度。
图3是四个被实验的合成物混合物(其除了其中包含的醇混合物之外成分相同)的曲线图,其示出了作为各种伯醇混合物链长函数的下移的凝胶点,即平均碳链长度11.0碳原子(C11.0)、12.6碳原子(C12.6)、14.5碳原子(C14.5)的醇。作为比较,还示出了不含醇的基料的混物(曲线图记录为“基料”)。
从作为图3的醇的链长的函数的下移的凝胶点中可看出,最佳的凝胶点抑制,在C13得区域得到了,如图4所示。如图4所示,对链长C11,凝胶点转移是6.7,对链长C12.6,凝胶点转移是9.4,对链长C14.5,凝胶点转移是7.6。
图5所示的曲线图,示出在作为存在的C12.6伯醇混合物的量的函数的凝胶点的下移。正如图5的关键所示,在三个混物中,C12.6醇混合物的量分别为按wt.占0.25%、按wt.占0.50%、按wt.占0.75%,其余相同。作为比较,还显示了不含醇的一个基料混物。
在图6中,作为存在的C12.6的百分比的函数的在凝胶点的下移,示出获得良好的控制凝胶点抑制的能力。在包括0.25%量的NEODOL23(平均C12.6)的混物,凝胶点转移是0.9;在0.50%的量,凝胶点转移是9.4;在0.75%的量,凝胶点转移是13.7。通过包括如线性伯醇混合物来不图谋凝胶点抑制的混物中,存在一个凝胶从液体到立方相的急剧转变。具有伯醇混合物的凝胶点的抑制,可能会导致相变阶段,该阶段与凝胶的立方相发生干扰。这给出了一个温度范围,在该范围内,在得到急剧增加粘度之前存在产品的增厚。这个相变是不希望发生的。考虑图5中量为0.25%、0.50%和0.75%的粘度数据和0到10Pa′s的范围,该相变区域可被看到。
如图7所示,伯醇混合物的量增加,上述的相变区域变成了一个更重要的考虑因素。如图8所示,在相变区域的存在是问题的配方中,乙氧基线性伯醇混合物的使用,作用为消除该相变区域,同时最小地影响所需整个凝胶点抑制。如图8所示,在1摩尔的乙氧基化,相变大大减少,在2摩尔的乙氧基化,相变消失。被测试的四个混物结果已在图8中示出,包括:不含醇(基料);按wt占0.5%的平均碳原子链长为12.6的伯醇混合物(C12.6);按wt占0.5%的平均碳原子链长为12.6且每摩尔醇平均1摩尔环氧乙烷(EO)的乙氧基伯醇混合物(C12.61EO);按wt占0.5%的平均碳原子链长为12.6且每摩尔醇平均2摩尔EO的乙氧基伯醇混合物(C12.62EO)。
如图9所示,当如图8所示的2摩尔乙氧基伯醇的量按wt增加至0.75%,相变区域再次出现。当乙氧基化进一步增加,这一相变区域会再次消失。
图10总结了用于具有平均12.6碳原子链长的伯醇混合物的凝胶点转移和相变区域。图10中的数据如下:
图11示出随着链长卫12.6碳原子、零乙氧基、每摩尔醇2摩尔环氧乙烷的伯醇混合物百分比变化的凝胶点转移。数据如下:
含一定的线性伯醇混合物和乙氧基化的线性伯醇混合物的混物的测试数据列于下表。混物的成分除存在醇混合物之外都相同。不包括醇的基料混物也存在作为比较。对每种混物使用的实验方法都相同,来允许进行数据比较。

Claims (22)
1.一种用于硬表面的合成物,所述合成物包括:
(i)至少7.5wt.%的选出的至少一种表面活性剂;
(ii)大于0wt.%至2.0wt.%的非乙氧基线性伯醇混合物,其中非乙氧基混合物的每个醇都包括含有9至17个碳原子的碳原子链,或线性伯醇的乙氧基混合物,其中所述乙氧基混合物的每个醇都包括含有9至17个碳原子的碳原子链;
(iii)少于55秒的传输速率因子;和
(iv)大于8小时左右的附着时间。
2.如权利要求1所述的合成物,所述合成物包括:
约30秒至约55秒的传输速率因子。
3.如权利要求2所述的合成物,所述合成物包括:
约30秒至约40秒的传输速率因子。
4.如权利要求1所述的合成物,所述合成物从包括凝胶和固体的组中选出。
5.如权利要求1所述的合成物,所述合成物包括:
约7.5wt.%至约20wt.%的表面活性剂。
6.如权利要求1所述的合成物,所述表面活性剂,从包括阴离子的、非离子的、阳离子的、两性的(amphoteric)、两性离子的(zwitterionic)及其组合的组中选出。
7.如权利要求6所述的合成物,其中,所述表面活性剂是阴离子的。
8.如权利要求1所述的合成物,所述合成物进一步包括:
约15000cps至约100000cps的粘度。
9.一种在硬表面上使用的凝胶合成物,所述合成物包括:
(i)小于6wt%的香料;
(ii)线性伯醇的非乙氧基混合物,其中所述非乙氧基混合物的每个醇都包括含有9至17个碳原子的碳原子链,或线性伯醇的乙氧基混合物,其中所述乙氧基混合物的每个醇都包括含有9至17个碳原子的碳原子链;和
(iii)少于55秒的传输速率因子;
其中,所述线性伯醇的非乙氧基混合物或线性伯醇的乙氧基混合物,以足以为所述线性伯醇的非乙氧基混合物或线性伯醇的乙氧基混合物的每0.1wt.%将成分混合以提供所述合成物的温度降低约2℃的量存在。
10.如权利要求9所述的凝胶合成物,其中,所述线性伯醇的非乙氧基混合物或线性伯醇的乙氧基混合物,以大于0wt.%至约2.0wt.%的量存在。
11.如权利要求9所述的凝胶合成物,其中,所述合成物包括:
约30秒至约55秒的传输速率因子。
12.根据权利要求9所述的凝胶合成物,所述合成物进一步包括:
约15000cps至约100000cps的粘度。
13.根据权利要求9所述的凝胶合成物,所述合成物进一步包括:
约50℃至约80℃的凝胶温度。
14.根据权利要求9所述的凝胶合成物,所述合成物进一步包括:
表面活性剂,其从包括阴离子的、非离子的、阳离子的、两性的、两性离子的及其组合的组中选出。
15.一种在硬表面上使用的固体合成物,所述合成物包括:
(i)小于10wt%的香料;
(ii)线性伯醇的非乙氧基混合物,其中所述非乙氧基混合物的每个醇都包括含有9至17个碳原子的碳原子链,或线性伯醇的乙氧基混合物,其中所述乙氧基混合物的每个醇都包括含有9至17个碳原子的碳原子链;和
(iii)少于55秒的传输速率因子;
其中,所述线性伯醇的非乙氧基混合物或线性伯醇的乙氧基混合物,以足以为所述线性伯醇的非乙氧基混合物或线性伯醇的乙氧基混合物的每0.1wt.%将成分混合以提供所述合成物的温度降低约2℃的量存在。
16.如权利要求15所述的凝胶合成物,其中,所述线性伯醇的非乙氧基混合物或线性伯醇的乙氧基混合物,以大于0wt.%至约2.0wt.%的量存在。
17.如权利要求15所述的合成物,所述合成物包括:
约30秒至约55秒的传输速率因子。
18.如权利要求15所述的合成物,其中,所述合成物是自附着的。
19.如权利要求15所述的凝胶合成物,所述合成物进一步包括:
