Abstract

发明领域和技术背景
本发明涉及电照明火焰模拟器。本发明尤其涉及装饰性蜡烛,火矩,或其它可以被照明,以使产生闪烁火焰效果的器件。本发明的火焰模拟器通常由电池供电,可使用一次性电池或可充电电池,而且它也可以由常规的AC插座供电,使用或不使用AC适配器均可。
蜡烛,火矩,特别制作的街灯和其它可能使用本发明的器件,例如衣物、自行车或其他产品,通常可以得到并由于它们所产生的效果而具有价值。然而,在许多使用蜡烛,火矩或相关发光装置的场合,光通常是通过火焰在油容器,蜡烛或类似物中燃烧时产生的。由于它们可能导致意外的火灾事故,所以如果这些意外事故没有得到注意或者没有得到适当控制,就能够导致重大损害、烟尘或污染,因此,当然存在与这些发光器件相关的自然危险。
因此,本发明利用了这种装饰元件的概念,但是使用一种可编程操作的电照明火焰模拟器代替火焰,以使它在观察时显示出与燃烧的蜡烛、火矩或类似物一样或类似的闪烁发光效果。然而,本发明并不局限于如蜡烛、火矩的装置,本发明中的电照明火焰模拟器能够应用于更多的产品和更广泛的场合中,例如装潢或装饰性街灯、如腰带、鞋、帽的衣物、贺卡、或自行车、单脚滑行车等。此外,本发明中的火焰模拟器的闪烁效果可以用于为警告危险提供便利,例如在道路危险或者紧急车灯中。
众所周知,某些设备和方法可以产生或模拟真实火焰的效果。例如,可以使用单个特别设计的不稳定霓虹灯泡。然而,这种不稳定的霓虹灯泡会固有地产生一种不易电子控制的不自然的“停停动动的”闪烁模式,而且必须由高压电源操作。至少,这使得它们通常不适合于用电池操作。另一个例子是采用单个白炽灯泡,可以通过改变AC或DC电压源的输出电压而调制其光输出。然而,这种白炽灯泡在闪烁频率和由于灯丝热度保持产生的效果方面固有地受到限制,并且它基本上比固体光源,例如LED光源,吸入更多的电流。再一次说明,这种灯泡至少在一般情况下不适合于用电池操作。
使若干灯泡中的每个在开启和关闭状态中切换,以实现显示和装饰目的,由于灯泡的开关和调制没有按照由真实火焰产生的典型光运动方式进行,因此缺乏闪烁火焰特有的光运动幻觉。
“移动(traveling)”或“追踪(chaser)”式光的线阵也为人们所知,但这种线阵是为了产生大规模沿直线方向运动的灯光效果而构造和控制的,该方向与这些光源的线阵方向一致。当然,由这些线阵产生的效果并不能模仿闪烁火焰的幻觉。
发明内容
一方面,本发明的目的是电照明火焰模拟器。优选地,本发明的火焰模拟器是与装潢或装饰性器件,或其它器件,如危险指示器联系在一起的。在本发明的火焰模拟器的一种形式中,它可以构成装潢或装饰物的一部分,例如蜡烛,火矩,或者室内、室外的灯光显示,使该装饰物呈现一种自然火焰的外观。在其它这样的装饰性用途中,本发明的火焰模拟器在与衣物、例如腰带或帽子,贺卡联系在一起,或与鞋结合时非常有用。

在优选的形式中,电照明火焰模拟器使用在装潢性蜡烛中。蜡烛本身可以由蜡或其它制造蜡烛的常规材料,或者像能够仿效蜡烛外观的塑料材料构成。本发明的火焰模拟器最好固定于蜡烛主体内,以至于在照明时,不仅可以从蜡烛顶部观察到火焰模拟器,还可以将其作为从蜡烛内部发出的光亮或在蜡烛内部发光的光源。
根据本发明的另一方面,当想用火焰模拟器产生木材燃烧的自然效果的仿造火矩时,它也可以用于提供一种与蜡烛类似的效果。
在一种形式中,本发明的火焰模拟器至少包括两个光源,最好是包括四个光源,例如灯泡,这些光源可以随机地、顺序地、或半随机地点亮以产生闪烁和运动的灯光效果来模仿真实的火焰,例如由蜡烛燃烧产生的火焰。光源最好是发光二极管(LEDs),可以将其随机地或半随机地电点亮。

火焰模拟器最好包括一个用于使集成电路启动和停止的开关装置。该开关装置可以有三个状态,包括一个开状态,一个关状态,和一个使火焰模拟器保持启动,直到一个预定时间长度的定时状态。

发明详述
本发明的目的是电驱动的火焰模拟器,它包括可以随机、半随机地或者以预定方式提供闪烁火焰可视效果的许多灯泡或LED。该装置最好与一个装饰性器件,如蜡烛或火矩,结合起来以增强这种效果。

蜡烛12最好是圆柱形外形,并且可以由蜡或者一种可以提供类似蜡烛外观的合成材料制成。蜡烛12可以具有所希望的颜色或者具有多种颜色的结合,也可以是半透明或不透明的。选定蜡烛12的原料,并选择其厚度,以使存在这样的可能性:不仅可以从蜡烛12的顶面18,而且还可以通过蜡烛主体34看见从LED光源26出射的光,它可能以一种柔和的或半透明的方式提供发光效果。
如下面所说明,LED光源26可以随机地、半随机地或者以预定的方式点亮。然而,点亮LED光源26的总体目的是以这样一种方式进行照明:当将具有类似照明方式的LED光源结合在一起照明时,将每个LED光源调制点亮以提供美观的闪烁效果,因此产生光及其运动以仿效自然蜡烛火焰。
参照附图2,图中显示了一对人造火矩40和42,它们可能由为本领域技术人员公知的常规材料制成,而且火矩上面具有的装饰物和设计特征使它们看起来像是真实的火矩。在仅示出本发明一个实施例的图2中,火矩40有两个电路44和46,这两个电路基本上是完全一样的,而且每一个电路都可以由电池源48供电。在一个可替换此例的实施例中可以使用AC电源供电。电池源48最好位于火矩40内一个特别的中空部分50中,并且设置为与电路44和/或46以常规的方式电连接,未显示于图2中。
与电路44和46中每一个相连的是许多LED光源51。电路44和46中每一个都还可以包括麦克风52。电路44和46,和与其相连的LED光源51以及麦克风52一起,按参考附图1的说明基本相同的方式进行操作。由此,LED光源51阵列中的每一个都可以启动,并以一种随机的或预定的方式进行照明,以便于在沿火矩40上不同点处发光,以提供火矩40正在发光,或者火焰正在火矩上燃烧的效果。
下面参照附图3,在侧视图中,图3显示结合了本发明火焰模拟器的装饰性蜡烛的一个实施例的概略图。其中所应用的参考标记与附图1中的相对应。在图3中,蜡烛12包括侧壁14、基底16、和顶壁18。蜡烛12的这些不同的壁确定了蜡烛主体34。
在蜡烛12的下半部分形成了一个适于容纳三个电池62、64和66的空腔室60,这些电池形成了电池组或电源组。在腔室60的上部引出一个从其中一直延伸到电路和光源上的线槽68,它将在下面说明。
可以通过蜡烛的基底16附近可移动的盖板70进入腔室60。电池62、64和66连接到包含于腔室60中的电源开关72上,电源开关72有一个从腔室60内通过盖板70延伸到蜡烛外的开关杆74。通过这种方式,使用者可以手动接触并控制开关杆74,以开启或关闭蜡烛12。
在蜡烛12的基底16上有一个凹陷部分76,该凹陷部分76通向腔室60,但是,在正常使用中,它通过盖板70与腔室60相封闭。
在蜡烛12的上端78有一个通向LED腔82的上部凹陷80。印刷电路(Printed Circuit)板84或者安装于板84上的集成电路包含有用于启动蜡烛12的电子装置,它的一个实施例将在下面说明。连在PC板84上的是四个LED光源26,这些光源从PC板84上延伸到LED腔82内。麦克风30从PC板84向上延伸到上部凹陷80中。该PC板84通过在线槽68中沿伸的合适电连接器与电池62、64、68所构成的电源电连接。
图6示意性地示出一个独立主体或装饰物之外的火焰模拟器90,其中该火焰模拟器90可能安装在该主体或装饰物之上,火焰模拟器90包括一个集成电路92;一个从其中延伸出来的臂94,该臂支撑或包含导线,最好是柔性导线;和一个位于臂94未端的支持盘96,该支持盘能够根据需要相对于臂94以一个角度设置。支持盘96包括麦克风98和LED100。集成电路92由电源供电,电源通常用102标示。
参考附图7,它描绘显示有一些电子装置和设备运转的优选电路图。
系统的核心是与许多LED,LD1-LD4,相连的集成电路IC1。IC1根据设计者的选择,系统地、随机地或半随机地打开或关闭LED以模拟蜡烛12的闪烁。
用“VCC”表示的电源为所有的电子装置供电,并由开关S1控制。开关S1有三个位置:“开”、“关”和“定时”。在开关S1的“开”位置,集成电路IC1在启动后以连续模式工作,只有当使用者命令停止时才停止操作。即,在这种模式下,开始和停止操作都由使用者遥控,如下面所说明。在开关S1的“关”位置,由于开关S1将电池与VCC断开连接,因此整个系统都被关闭。在开关S1的“定时”位置,集成电路IC1开始运转后,经过预定的时间后自动停止运转。
在开关S1的“开”位置,电池通常输出至少为3伏(2×1.5V)的电压,它经开关S1传送并施加到所有需要VCC的电路中。所有标为“GND”的电路节点都连接在一起,表示系统的地电位。除了在开关S1的“开”位置,地电位(GND)并不由开关S1控制,当GND施加到IC1的17管脚,就将IC1的功能操作设置为连续操作模式,直到18管脚接收到“停止”信号时才停止操作。在开关S1的“定时”位置,VCC施加到IC1的17管脚,在经过一段预定的时间延迟后,例如三小时,引发IC1内部定时器的到时停止,并停止IC1的操作。
在开关S1的“开”位置,对所有的电路供以电能并处于备用状态,这确定了IC1的初始休止状态,在这种状态中的LED,LD1-LD4,没有一个点亮。然而,当高频声音出现在麦克风MIC1上时,例如拍手声或捻手指产生的劈啪声,麦克风MIC1的输出端就会产生一个信号并施加到运算放大器IC2A的+接线端。IC2A将麦风MIC1检测到的尖锐声音放大,并将此放大的输出信号同时施加到IC3A的+输入端和IC3B的-输入端,使得IC1开始对LED进行调制以产生闪烁效果。可以在不改变本发明基本原理的情况下对该电路进行调整以响应不同频率的信号。
R1,C3,R5;C4,C5,R2,R4;R11;和R7,R8分别是耦合,频率补偿,反馈,和偏置元件,它们的功能和操作是为本领域技术人员所熟悉的,因此在里不需要做进一步详细说明。C2和R6限定了一个高通滤波器,而R10,C1和R3限定了一个低通滤波电路。
在尖锐的,高频声音输入到麦克风MIC1的情况下,高频信号成分出现在IC2A的输出端,这个信号成分通过高通滤波器C2,R6只能传送到IC3B的-接线端,即,由于低通滤波器R10,C1,R3的存在,阻碍了IC2A输出的高频信号到达IC3A的+接线端。
因此,IC3B放大其输入信号并将其作为“开始”脉冲传送到IC1的管脚4,启动IC1的操作。当处于操作模式时,IC1系统地(例如顺序地)或随机地经管脚6和13给LD1,经管脚7和12给LD2,经管脚8和11给LD3,以及经管脚9和10给LD4施加充足的电能以单独点亮LED,LD1-LD4。
当开关设置为“开”位置时,这种状态将持续直到开关S1切换到“关”位置,或持续到麦克风MIC1检测到低频声音,例如风吹产生的声音或在麦克风附近产生的类似撞击声的声音。
在低频声音输入到麦克风MIC1的情况下,低频信号成分出现在IC2A的输出端,这个信号成分通过低通滤波器R10,C1,R3只能传送到IC3A的+接线端,即,由于高通滤波器C2,R6的存在阻碍了IC2A输出的低频信号到达IC3B的-接线端。
因此,IC3A放大其输入信号并将其作为“停止”脉冲传送到IC1的管脚18,停止IC1的操作,此时,电路再次返回其休止状态,等待麦克风MIC1附近的另一个高频声音。如前面所说明,可以选择其它频率的声音控制包括开和关功能在内的各种不同功能。
当开关S1移动到“定时”位置时,IC1以与上面所说明的相同方式完成启动操作,即,通过检测在麦克风MIC1上出现的高频声音。然而,在“定时”模式中,VCC通过开关S1施加到IC1的管脚17。这个在管脚17上的VCC电位为上述预定延时时间设置了一个运行的内部定时器,经过延时时间后IC1的操作自动停止,电路再次返回其静止状态,等待麦克风MIC1附近的另一个高频声音。
应该理解,图7中的电路图描述了本发明电子装置的一个优选实施例,可以通过改装与IC1的连接以及/或者通过使用附加或其它电子元件而使其他功能得到使用。所描述电路的变化例子对于本领域内的一般技术人员都是显面易见的。例如,可以修改开关S1,或提供一个分立的开关,操作另外一个模式下修改后的电子系统,在该模式中麦克风MIC1与系统不相连,且IC1的启动和停止操作完全由手动控制完成。作为另外一个例子,仅仅对电路图做较小的修改,并提供一个手动延时控制器件,就能使定时停止的延时可以选择。
在图8a和8b中显示了电路板104的另一个实施例,为了使电路板与紧挨的电池外形相符,并可以作为一种节省空间的方法,将电路板制作成弓形。臂106(或柔性的简单电线并可以在柔性管子中)最好向上延伸或远离印刷电路板和电路104,并且终止于基本与臂106成直角的支撑盘110。支撑盘110支撑着麦克风108和LED光源,可以将它们设置在蜡烛上部附近使用。
图9显示与附图1所示非常相似的蜡烛视图,只是指向上方的光源26显示了略微差异。图10示意性地示出了具有电池区122,电路124和LED126的“生日”型蜡烛120。不改变本发明的原理,LED126可以由可供选择形式的光源替换。
图11中示出贺卡130,它包括其上有LED光源134的印刷出的蜡烛,LED光源经内置电线138与电路136连接,并由电路136操作。除此之外,还提供一个电源140。
电路板可以由柔性材料制成,因此能够容易地控制其外形以适应所需安装的空间。电路板可以通过适合的电连接装置连接到LED光源上,以使其能够远离LED光源放置,而且这也可以作为一种节省空间的方法将电子装置限定和安装在狭小的空间中。
在本发明的一个优选实施例中,至少有两个灯泡,尽管最好包含更多(例如四个),它们由电压源随机地或顺序地供电以产生闪烁效果。在一个优选实施例中,至少可对两对微控制器的输出端口进行编程,以便于为一个七段LED/LCD提供12小时时钟的多元功能(12-hour time clock multiplex function)。在一个实施例中,一个声音信号经高频滤波电路处理,其输出提供电源接通信号,该信号可对捻手指产生的劈啪声,拍手声等作出响应,如图7的说明。此外,声音信号可以经低频滤波电路处理,其输出提供电源切断信号,该信号可对例如风吹的声音作出响应。
模式开关或遥控装置可以用来在电源切断模式、电源接通模式或以不同麦克风功能的电源接通模式,或者在预定时间段内电源接通的模式中选择。
本发明的另外一个优选特征包括LED型灯泡的使用,它通常以上文说明的方式使用,其中这些灯泡以非平行且基本向下的方向发光,以便于照明半透明的蜡烛主体,如附图1说明中的简要附注。白炽灯或霓虹灯泡可以代替一个或多个LED灯泡,并且可以使用非微控制器电路。
至少由两个电压源操作两个灯泡,其中每个电压源可以随机供电、半随机供电、或顺序供电,从而产生闪烁火焰和运动光的效果。
本发明的火焰模拟器可以使麦克风和麦克风放大器产生一个信号,该信号触发调制电压源使其交替地处于电源接通和电源切断状态。频率均衡可以应用到放大器中,例如促进高频声音(如捻手指产生的劈啪声或拍手声)触发电源接通状态,而且频率均衡还可以应用到放大器中,例如促进低频声音(如空气中的风吹声)触发电源切断状态。最好至少有一个灯泡向半透明的蜡烛主体或者从半透明的蜡烛主体内发光,而且任何两个这样的灯泡的发光方向可以相互平行或不平行。
本发明并不局限于精确的细节和特定电子装置和电路的变化,以及其上可以附加的装饰或器件,也可以于此公开范围内变化。此外,附加特征可以形成部分本发明。例如,可以使光传感器与本发明的电路结合并电相连。只有当光照程度下降到低于预先选择的强度时,光传感器才检测到周围光照程度并开启火焰模拟器,或者使之处于如上所述接收声音信号的模式中。在这种方式下,本发明的火焰模拟器只在黑暗的期间或黑暗的环境中使用。
本发明也可以包括运动探测器,该探测器与本发明的火焰模拟器的电路联合并电相连。运动探测传感器的加入将会使本发明的火焰模拟器限制在仅当出现运动的时段,例如附近人们的运动,进行操作,从而在没有探测到运动时火焰模拟器停止操作而节省能量。另一个选择方案是在火焰模拟器中加入热传感器,以将其操作限制在当温度下降到低于或者移动到高于预先选择的程度时的条件下。
Claims (3)
1.具有电驱动火焰模拟器的人造蜡烛,包括:
具有侧壁、基底和顶壁的圆柱体,其包括上部、下部和其中的腔室,所述上部在所述顶壁的顶面具有一边缘,所述边缘限定在其中给出凹陷的凹形表面,所述下部具有在所述基底处的用于支撑所述圆柱体的表面;
火焰模拟器至少具有两个设置在该圆柱体的所述凹陷内的固态光源,所述固态光源仅从所述圆柱体的顶部可见;
集成电路,处于该圆柱体内部并与所述固态光源电连接,用于间断点亮所述固态光源,以提供来自所述凹陷内的光的闪烁运动的效果并且提供从所述圆柱体内发出的光的发光效果;
运动探测器,用于控制所述火焰模拟器的操作,用来对在预定范围内探测到运动作出响应;以及
电源,用于给集成电路供电。
2.如权利要求1所述的具有电驱动火焰模拟器的人造蜡烛,其中所述固态光源电连接,用于独立于其它固态光源间断点亮所述固态光源中的至少一个,以使所述固态光源一起提供闪烁运动的效果。
3.具有电驱动火焰模拟器的蜡烛形装置,包括:
具有侧壁、基底和顶壁的圆柱体,其包括上部、下部和其中的腔室,所述上部在所述顶壁的顶面具有一边缘,所述边缘限定在其中给出凹陷的凹形表面,所述下部具有在所述基底处的用于支撑所述圆柱体的表面;
火焰模拟器,具有至少一个设置在该圆柱体的所述凹陷内的固态型光源,所述固态型光源仅从所述圆柱体的顶部可见;以及
集成电路,处于该圆柱体的腔室内部并与所述至少一个固态型光源电连接,以使所述至少一个固态型光源提供闪烁火焰的效果并且提供从所述圆柱体内发出的光的发光效果;以及电源,用于给集成电路供电。
