Abstract

技术领域
本公开主要涉及用于器具的密封组件,并且更加具体地涉及一种用于例如可缩进标记器之类可缩进器具的密封组件。
背景技术
无帽器具例如无帽式可缩进标记器已被研制出来以解决与具有外帽的可缩进器具相关联的问题和不便。这种不便包括必须使用两只手来“对带有外帽的标记笔进行摘帽和戴帽”,并且当对涂覆器元件(例如书写尖端)进行戴帽或者摘帽时易于丢失外帽。参见例如美国专利No.6,981,812(′812专利)(提供对于与使用帽体的现有技术书写器具相关联的问题的说明)。一种无帽式可缩进器具包括将无帽式可缩进标记笔的罩体隐藏在笔管内,并且利用安装于在笔管顶部中的致动装置来控制书写尖端的伸出和缩进。
虽然无帽式可缩进书写器具与具有外帽的标记器或者笔相比具有优越的竞争优势,但是无帽器具有若干问题。例如,在可缩进器具中的目前的密封元件是不可靠的,这是因为在长期的使用、时间或者调节之后它们经常无法形成密封。另外,这种密封组件经常是不可重复的,即,它们无法在每次使用之后均提供适当的密封。另外,“组装过程是复杂的、耗时的”并且难以“在大批量生产中提速”。参见例如′812专利第2栏、第63至65行(解释了“常规的无帽式可缩进标记笔仍然具有需要解决的很多问题”)。
用以解决这些问题的大部分尝试损害了密封可靠性和可重复性之一或这两者。更加具体地,很多目前的设计直接地或者间接地依赖于在涂覆器元件组件(例如笔尖组件)与阀门之间的接触以推压阀门从关闭状态打开。然而,由于在涂覆器元件和阀门这两者上均产生磨损,这种接触损害了阀门密封的可靠性。另外,因为涂覆器元件通常在接触时沉积流体,在涂覆器元件与阀门之间的任何相互作用均导致流体被沉积在阀门的密封结构上。反复的相互作用导致额外的流体沉积在密封结构上,由此引起密封品质退化以致密封失效并且将涂覆器元件暴露于周边环境。由于在涂覆器元件和阀门之间的连续接触而导致流体沉积物的积聚能够进一步在缩进期间引起涂覆器元件和储液器保持器组件结合或者粘着。
更加具体地,这种流体蓄积继续进行以致由流体(或者流体的残余组分)的粘性产生的作用力防止了涂覆器元件和储液器保持器部件的正确伸出和缩进之一或这两者。在缩进期间,流体沉积物可以在阀门本体的内壁内、在涂覆器元件组件中的管子的外壁内、以及在这二者之间蓄积。在伸出期间,先前被沉积到阀门上的流体还可以被转移回涂覆器元件组件中的管子的外壁上。这种流体转移是可能的,这是因为,在涂覆器元件推压阀门使之打开后,已经接触涂覆器元件的阀门继续保持与管子的外壁接触。
目前的设计还依靠各种为可缩进器具(例如标记器)提供可重复密封的依赖于机械或者材料的装置。这些方法中的每一种看起来都提供了不同程度的密封可重复性。然而,依靠材料弹性来返回关闭位置的密封的可重复性的设计均遭受循环和老化的影响。例如,在长期使用和被暴露于各种条件之后,密封可重复性受到损害以致涂覆器元件被暴露于周边环境。依靠机械装置提供可重复密封的设计看起来为可缩进器具提供了一种较为具有可重复性的密封;然而,这种设计的复杂性经常引起机械故障。参见例如美国专利No.5,022,773(′773专利)。该′773专利披露了一种具有柔韧钢制构件(24)的设计,该构件带有为密封构件提供关闭作用力的弹簧夹(22)。这个密封部件设计遭受与先前所述相同的流体(例如墨水)的蓄积问题,这是因为书写尖端(34)自身在推进穿过密封构件时推压弹簧夹打开。而且,因为由弹簧夹产生的径向作用力的大小,书写尖端在穿过密封部件而伸出和缩进时经常受损。
发明内容
本发明改进了用于可缩进器具例如笔、标记器等的密封组件的可靠性和可重复性。具体地,密封组件被联接到内部器具组件,由此允许当该器具伸出和缩进时该密封组件进行约束运动。
根据本公开的一个方面,一种用于可缩进器具的密封组件包括基部、被联结到该基部的至少两个指状件,和部分地围绕该基部的套筒。当该可缩进器具处于缩进位置中时,该套筒约束该指状件从而该指状件处于完全关闭状态中,由此有效地密封该器具的涂覆器元件。该基部相对于该套筒的伸出允许该指状件打开,由此暴露出该涂覆器元件。该密封组件可以被联接到涂覆器元件组件,以允许该密封组件和该涂覆器元件组件同时地伸出。该密封组件的基部还可以包括凸缘,从而该基部的凸缘与置于可缩进器具的管子的内侧表面上的内凸缘相接合。

具体实施方式
现在参考图1,示出可缩进器具10。可缩进器具10包括本体12和鼻部14,其中该鼻部被置于本体12的第一端部处。例如,如在图1中所示,按钮或者致动器16被置于本体12的第二或者致动端部处,并且夹子18被置于本体12上。更加具体地,可以采用为人熟知的敲击式致动系统,该系统包括具有朝向致动端部延伸的轴杆的插塞,和置于该轴杆上的冲杆(plunger)。弹簧被置于该冲杆与该致动器或者按钮16之间。当被联接到一起时,该插塞、冲杆、弹簧和致动器或者按钮16提供为人熟知的敲击式致动系统。如已知的那样,通过反复地压下该致动器,该致动系统交替地将涂覆器元件例如笔尖置于缩进位置中和伸出或者涂覆位置(例如书写位置)中。除了敲击式致动系统,能够采用其它类型的致动系统。例如也能够使用如在美国专利公开No.2006-0216103A1中所示的侧部按钮致动系统,该公开通过引用而被合并。在该实例中,本公开的致动器已被侧部致动器替代,该侧部致动器穿过书写用具或器具的本体的侧壁中的狭槽延伸。
现在参考图2和3,可缩进器具10包括内部器具组件20(图2)。内部器具组件20包括涂覆器元件组件22,涂覆器元件组件22在该实施例中包括笔尖24和笔尖适配器26、管子28和储液器保持器30。密封组件32被联接到内部器具组件20并且包括基部34、指状件36和套筒38。当处于缩进位置中时,本体12容纳涂覆器元件组件22和密封组件32这两者(见图5)。因为涂覆器元件组件22被关联到密封组件32,则涂覆器元件组件22和密封组件32同时地伸出和缩进。
现在参考图4,示出可缩进器具10的内部部件。密封组件32被联接到内部器具组件20(图2),例如涂覆器元件组件22、管子28和储液器保持器30。储液器保持器30提供用于存储流体(例如墨水)的装置,并且管子28保持涂覆元件24(例如笔尖),并且将流体从储液器保持器30转移到涂覆器元件24。还示出弹簧40。如本领域技术人员熟知的那样,对本体12上的按钮16进行的致动引起储液器保持器30、涂覆器元件24、管子28和涂覆器元件适配器26以被直接关联的方式伸出。
虽然大体上在本文中示出可缩进器具10的一个实施例,大体上能够利用在Brand等人的美国专利No.6,964,534(′534专利)中所示构造中的任何一种来构造可缩进器具10,该′534专利的说明通过引用而被本文合并。换言之,密封组件32如在下面详细描述的那样能够如本领域技术人员将会看到的那样仅加以微小修改地结合到如′534专利所示的任何一种书写用具实施例内。据此,如本领域技术人员充分理解地那样,密封组件32能够被与纤维性笔尖相组合地使用,该纤维性笔尖允许流体墨水通过在多孔储液器中形成的毛细管流动。另外,密封组件32能够被与设计成自由墨水书写用具(包括使用多孔缓冲器系统的那些)的书写用具相组合地使用,其中该储液器是其中包含有流体墨水的空间。此外,密封组件32能够与其它的常规圆珠笔相组合地使用。
参考图5和6,通过使用结合于管子28以及基部34这两者上的干涉凸缘结构,也将密封组件32的基部34、指状件36和套筒38结合到这种伸出内。更加具体地,如在图5中所示,管子28包括凸缘42,并且基部34也包括凸缘44。如在图5中所示,在标记器起初地伸出时,干涉凸缘42、44相接合。
密封组件32还可以包括置于该组件上的与涂覆器元件24相对的端部处的另外的密封,用于针对大气将密封组件32的后部密封。例如,可以利用置于管子28的外壁和基部34的内壁之一或这两者上的密封条提供该端部密封。
当处于缩进状态中时,套筒38物理地约束指状件36并且还提供承座。具体地,在套筒38的内壁与指状件36的外表面之间的干涉导致将指状件36靠到彼此上以密封涂覆器元件24与环境隔开。
当伸出开始时,密封组件32被关闭直至基部34的干涉凸缘44接触到套筒38(图6),并且管子28和基部34上的干涉凸缘42、44受压制。然后密封组件的指状件36开始打开并且伸出继续进行,直至在鼻部14上的前向限位器48与受约束套筒38的相应的前向限位器50相接合,由此约束了基部34和指状件36的伸出。此时,指状件36被打开,从而允许涂覆器元件24例如笔尖完全伸出鼻部14并且进入涂覆位置中。在这个过程期间,密封组件32无任何密封结构接触着涂覆器元件24以从涂覆器元件24转移流体,由此消除了可能发生的密封退化。
为了将涂覆器元件24缩回到本体12中,在基部上的干涉凸缘44与管子28的干涉凸缘42接合,这是由致动机构的缩进作用力(例如弹簧作用力或者拉伸)引起的。回想到虽然当涂覆器元件24处于完全缩进位置中时基部上的干涉凸缘44与管子28的干涉凸缘42相接合(见,例如,图5),但是在伸出期间管子28的干涉凸缘42压制着基部的干涉凸缘44(见例如图6)。因此,当涂覆器元件24处于完全伸出位置中时,管子28的干涉凸缘42被置于密封组件32的指状件36内或者恰好紧邻密封组件32的指状件36(图6)。这样,当缩进开始时,涂覆器元件组件22开始移回到本体12内并且缩进继续进行直至套筒38的限位器50接合本体12上的限位器54(见图5),从而使得指状件36完成围绕涂覆器元件24的关闭。换言之,指状件36被紧贴着靠近彼此以形成可靠的和可重复的密封。另外,当限位器50接合限位器54时,凸缘42、44相接合并被定位用于下一伸出循环。
利用这种设计组件,密封组件32从外部环境可靠地并且一致地密封该器具的涂覆器元件24以防止书写器具的涂覆器元件24干透。而且,不象现在例如用于标记器等的、目前的阀组件人工组装方法,上述用于可缩进器具10的密封组件32的组装方法可以被结合于高速组装过程中而无需大量的人工组装工作。
例如,如在图7和8中所示,密封组件32可以是筒夹或者筒夹式阀组件。例如,筒夹式阀组件32a包括基部34a、指状件36a和套筒38a。

Claims (20)
1.一种用于具有涂覆器元件的可缩进器具的密封组件,所述密封组件包括:

部分地围绕着基部的可缩进/可伸出套筒;
其中,当可缩进器具处于缩进位置中时,可缩进/可伸出套筒约束着指状件从而使得指状件处于完全关闭状态中并且密封着涂覆器元件,并且基部相对于可缩进/可伸出套筒的伸出允许指状件打开,由此暴露出涂覆器元件。
2.根据权利要求1的密封组件,其中,密封组件被关联到可缩进器具的涂覆器元件组件,从而允许密封组件和涂覆器元件组件同时伸出。
