技术领域
本发明涉及由发光二极管(LED)灯泡替代用于照明的灯泡,而且尤其涉及有效散去LED生成的热量以使替代灯泡可与被替代灯泡的光输出相当。
背景技术
由半导体结构成的LED,由电流流过该结引起发光。乍一看,好像LED应当能够对传统的钨丝白炽灯做极好的替代。在等量功率上,它们给出比白炽灯多得多的光输出,同样地,它们使用少得多的功率发出等量的光;而且它们的使用寿命是更大数量级的,即1-10万小时vs.1-2千小时。
然而,LED有若干缺点导致它们至今还未被广泛采用作为白炽灯的替代。其中主要的是,虽然对于某一给定的光输出来说LED比白炽灯需要少得多的功率,但它还是使用很多瓦数才能生成足够照明用的光。而白炽灯泡中的钨丝在大概3000°(度)K的温度上工作,由于LED是半导体,不能忍受比约120℃更热的温度。因而LED具有一个重要的热量问题:如果像白炽灯那样工作在真空中,或者甚至在空气中,它就会迅速变得过热并停止工作。这已将可用的LED灯泡限制到了非常低的功率(即还不到大概3W),导致不足以替代白炽灯的照明。另外,有一种得到“白色LED”的方法是在蓝色或其他颜色的LED外围使用带颜色的罩子,该蓝色或其他颜色的LED比如由JKL LampsTM制成。然而,与这相伴的是相当大的光损失。
对于这个问题一种可能的解决办法是使用大型的金属散热片,附着到LED上。这个散热片从灯泡向外延伸,去除LED发出的热量。这种解决办法不受欢迎,而且事实上未经尝试,因为一般的用户不会使用形状根本不同于白炽灯泡传统形状的灯泡;而且散热片使灯泡不可能适合现有的固定件。
这个发明的目的是开发利用发光二极管(LED)的发光设备,以便有效地解决上述主要问题。目标在于提供一种具有多个LED的白炽灯照明的替代灯泡,该替代灯泡光输出强度与白炽灯泡相等,而且其消耗的功率从LED中有效散去从而不超出它们最大的额定温度。该设备包括灯泡形状的外壳,优选由塑料比如聚碳酸酯形成。该外壳可能是透明的,或者可能包含分散在其中以分散光线的材料,使它看起来没有点光源,而且还可能包含分散在其中将LED光微带蓝的颜色变成微带黄的颜色的材料,这种微带黄色的LED光酷似正常的白炽灯泡发出的光。
发明内容
根据一个实施例,一种LED灯泡包括:灯泡形状的外壳,其中该外壳可能是任何形状,或者其他任何用于灯泡的常规或装饰形状;该灯泡形状的外壳内的导热流体;该灯泡形状的外壳内的至少一个LED;以及形成为插入到电插口内所需尺寸的基座。
根据另一个实施例,一种制造LED灯泡的方法包括:建造灯泡形状的塑料外壳;用一种流体至少部分填充该外壳,其中该流体导热;并且在该流体中安装至少一个LED。
根据又一个实施例,一种制造LED灯泡的方法包括:建造灯泡形状的塑料外壳;在该灯泡形状的塑料外壳内安装至少一个LED;并且用一种流体至少部分填充该外壳,其中该流体导热。

具体实施方式
现在将详细参考本发明的优选实施例,其示例在所附图形中图示说明。在任何可能的地方,在图形和说明书中使用的相同的附图标记是指相同或类似的部件。根据这些设计特征,下面给出对每个优选实施例的详细描述。
图1示出LED替代灯泡10的横截面视图,示出按照一个实施例安置在一种流体中的LED的发光部分。如图1所示,LED替代灯泡10包括拧入式基座20、塑料外壳30、被流体填充的内部40、以及至少一个LED50。拧入式基座20包括一系列螺纹22和基座插销24。将该拧入式基座20构造成适合放在标准电插口内并且与其进行电接触。优选的是将该电插口形成为接收现有技术所知的白炽或其他标准灯泡所需的尺寸。然而,可理解的是可以将拧入式基座20改成适合放在任一被构造成接收白炽灯泡的电插口内的基座,比如卡口型基座。拧入式基座20通过它的螺纹22和它的基座插销24与插口中的AC电源进行电接触。在拧入式基座20里边有电源器件(未示出)将AC电源转换成适合驱动至少一个LED50的形式。该电源器件除了在基座中还可能放置在其他地方,不是在灯泡中就是完全在灯泡之外。
至少一个LED50包括发光部分52和一对连接导线54,这对连接导线连接到电源器件上。典型的是,LED50的发光部分52由管芯、引线框架和封装的环氧树脂构成,管芯实际上放置在引线框架上,而且该封装的环氧树脂围绕并保护该管芯而且对光进行分散和变色。将该管芯用导电环氧树脂粘接到凹入该引线框架一半的凹口中,引线框架因其形状而得名为砧座。在该砧座中形成凹口形状以将所辐射的光向前投射。将该管芯的顶电极导线粘接到其他的引线框架的端子或接线柱上。可理解的是,所述示例只是LED的一个实施例而且可以使用其他合适的LED50构造。如图1所示,外壳30完全罩住被流体填充的容积40以防泄漏。该外壳30还将一个或多个LED50的至少发光部分52罩住,连接导线54穿出外壳30通过密封连接件到达该电源器件。可理解的是,外壳30可能是任何形状,或者其他任何用于灯泡的常规或装饰形状,包括但不限于球形、圆柱、以及“火焰”形状的外壳30。作为另一选择,外壳30可能是管状构件,如紧凑型荧光灯或其他设计中所用的。
用导热流体60比如水或矿物油完全或部分填充外壳30。然而,可理解的是可以使用任何合适的胶体材料来代替流体60,例如一种胶体,一旦暴露到大气压和/或空气中就胶化以防止流体60在灯泡10被损坏或打破时从中漏出。例如,类似胶体的材料可以是氢化聚甲基丙烯酸2-羟乙酯。流体60用作将LED50所生成的热量转移到壳体30的措施,它在壳体30处通过辐射和对流散去,像普通白炽灯泡中那样。流体60可能是透明的,也可能包含分散在其中的材料以分散光,使它看上去没有点光源,而且还可能包含分散在其中的材料将LED光的微带蓝的颜色变成带更多黄的颜色,酷似普通白炽灯泡发出的光。优选的是流体60电绝缘。另外,优选的是流体60在外壳30内处于静止。
将LED50安装在该流体中以防短路。如果该流体电绝缘,就无需采取特别手段。然而,如果该流体不是电绝缘的,就将LED50的导电部分电绝缘以防短路。
当在流体60中安装至少一个LED50或多个LED50时,用止水封条封住外壳30,优选的是用与外壳30同样的材料。给LED50供电用的电极在密封完成之前穿过该封条而引出。将这些引线连接到LED的电源上,优先将该LED电源包括在该灯泡的其余部分中。优选的是将该电源设计成与现有的设计兼容,以使该灯泡可直接代替传统灯泡而无需对现有固定件做任何改变。
在另一个实施例中,外壳30和/或流体60可以包括多个气泡(未示出),其中气泡分散至少一个LED50发出的光线。还有另一实施例中,可以将染料(未示出)添加到外壳30或外壳30内的流体60上,其中该染料将至少一个LED50的光线从第一色谱变到第二色谱。
图2示出一种LED替代灯泡10的横截面视图,示出根据这个发明又一个实施例嵌入外壳30中而与流体60保持热接触的LED50。LED替代灯泡10包括拧入式基座20、外壳30、被流体填充的容积40、以及至少一个带有一个或多个发光部分52的LED50。拧入式基座20通过其螺纹22及其基座插销24进行与插口中AC电源的电接触。在拧入式基座20里边有电源器件(未示出),将AC电源转换成适合驱动至少一个LED50的形式。一个或多个LED50由两部分组成,将它们连接到电源器件上的连接导线54、以及一个或多个LED52本身。外壳30完全罩住被流体填充的容积40以防泄漏。外壳30还罩住一个或多个LED50,连接导线54连接到电源器件上。在这个实施例中,一个或多个LED50通过薄外壳壁70热连接到流体40上。这个外壳壁70为一个或多个LED50散发的热量提供通向流体60的低热敏电阻路径。
图3示出按照这个发明另一个实施例包括安置在该流体中的多个LED50的LED替代灯泡10的横截面视图。LED替代灯泡10主要包括拧入式基座20、外壳30、被流体填充的容积40、以及带有连接件和支架56的多个LED50。优选的是多个LED50是排布成以合适的构造分配光源的至少3或4个LED管芯。在一个实施例中,可以将多个LED50排布成四面体构造。拧入式基座20通过其螺纹22及其基座插销24进行与插口中AC电源的电接触。在拧入式基座20里边有电源器件(未示出),将AC电源转换成适合驱动一个或多个LED50的形式。一个或多个LED50由两部分组成,将它们连接到电源器件上的连接导线56、以及一个或多个LED50本身。连接线56硬到足以用作一个或多个LED50的支架,而且在有多个器件时还形成LED50之间的互连件。外壳30完全罩住被流体填充的容积40以防泄漏。外壳30还至少罩住一个或多个LED50,连接导线56穿出外壳30并通过密封连接件到达该电源器件。可理解的是在另一个实施例中,该支架可能是与这些互连件或连接件不同材料的。
可理解的是如图1-3所示的LED替代灯泡被示出为标准白炽灯泡的替代灯泡,然而,在此所述的灯泡10和方法可以适用于其他任何供电系统或构造,而且可以用于任何照明系统,包括手电筒、汽车或摩托车的前灯、以及提灯。
本领域技术人员还应当理解,可以对本发明的结构进行各种更改和变型而不脱离该发明的范围或精神。有鉴于上述内容,其意图在于本发明覆盖所提供的这个发明的各种更改和变型,它们落入随后的权利要求及其同等物的范围。
Claims (140)
1.一种LED灯泡包括:
灯泡形状的外壳;
该灯泡形状的外壳内的导热流体;
该灯泡形状的外壳内的至少一个LED;以及拧入式基座,该基座包括一系列螺纹以及基座插销,其中将这些螺纹和该基座插销形成插入到标准电插口内所需的尺寸。
2.如权利要求1中所述的LED灯泡,其中该外壳是塑料的。
3.如权利要求1中所述的LED灯泡,其中将该至少一个LED的至少一部分安置在该流体内。
