纸牌处理区(Card Handling Zone)

一个理想的洗牌区形式包括一种多隔间传送带。许多其他洗牌区可被利用，非限定性的例子包含一种随机弹出洗牌区，这在美国专利第6,959,925号被详细描述并被转让给自动售货数据(VendingData)，美国专利第6,149,154号中所描述的一种垂直隔间洗牌区，多个隔间以一个扇形或垂直堆迭被排列，如美国专利第6,651,981号中所描述，为插入纸牌，能够在随机选择的位置被分开。在整个说明中所参照的每个专利的内容，包含背景部分，作为引用被并入本文。
纸牌检查位(Card Inspection Station)

显示(Display)
本发明的该例子中的触屏显示屏42位于游戏桌桌面下方的位置。一种理想的显示屏可透过指明部件编号42-0092-03从加州弗里蒙特Reach技术公司获得。相对于游戏桌桌面的显示屏42的定位提供了本发明之前在本技术中不为人知的诸多独特的优势。例如，该显示屏可提供图示，诸如被派发到玩家的纸牌，使得发牌人在不警告玩家的情况下能够评估实际纸牌是否为不同。例如，如果在实际手牌和被显示手牌之间出现一个偏离，指示一种已被确认的换牌的情况，发牌人想在玩家不知道的情况下通知安全人员以便欺诈者被逮捕。透过提供一种对玩家隐蔽的显示屏，可不玩家不知道的情况下，将重要信息传递至和传递自游戏场工作人员。
显示屏42包含触屏用户控制器，该控制器可被用于为洗牌器的微处理器进行编程以执行多项操作。例如，洗牌器可被编程用于向指定数量的玩家提供指定数量的纸牌。该洗牌器可进一步被编程用于提供指定数量的发牌人纸牌、指定数量的拍底纸牌、奖励手牌、公用牌或任何其他纸牌或在游戏场纸牌游戏中被使用的纸牌。用户控制器亦可被用于输入或显示一个游戏名称以便该新的名称出现在用户可选游戏的菜单上。每当一种新的游戏场纸牌游戏被开发时无需工厂编程，这样节省了时间，排除了为核准而向各博彩机构重新提交软件的必要并且排除了在该领域内升级软件的必要。
例如，该设备可由操作人员编程用于向三牌扑克游戏提供纸牌，该游戏要求玩家和发牌人各接收三张纸牌。如果将来使用三张玩家纸牌(各自)和三张发牌人纸牌的一种新游戏被开发，则包含该新游戏名称的该信息可被输入并在不要求改变软件的情况下被加入至游戏菜单。
与更标准的按钮控制器相比较，显示屏42上的触屏控制器亦为用户提供更多数量的输入选择。该显示屏能够显示字母数字信息、图表信息、动画、视频信号等。在本发明的一种形式中，当纸牌阻塞发生时，一张纸牌路径的图表和纸牌阻塞位置的指示被显示。
本发明的设备可提供附加和有用的功能。一个目的是向一台本地处理机和/或一台网络计算机提供数据以供分析和报告，诸如纸牌构成、手牌构成、已完成的回合、使用过的手牌、洗牌器被启动、洗牌器被退出工作状态、被派发的纸牌、被提供至传送带的纸牌及其他游戏状态信息。由于第一个被描述的实施例的传送带结构能够在洗牌器内形成手牌或部分手牌，该洗牌器能够向一台外部处理机发送代表手牌或部分构成之数据。

纸牌进给系统(Card Feed System)

在另一实施例中，滑轮78透过齿形啮合带(未示)与链轮54接触并被其驱动，而不是透过循环部件82。该排列提供另一驱动纸牌推进滚轮的方法以便稳定地将纸牌单独地移动至传送带结构44内。
传送带(Carousel)
在本发明的一个理想形式中的传送带结构44有38个相同大小的隔间，每个隔间能够容纳十张常规纸牌。亦可使用带有较少或更多隔间的其他传送带结构。每个隔间具有至少一个斜面90，用于在插入期间将纸牌转向对准的隔间88内。传送带结构44的另一特征是每个隔间均装备有一种板弹簧92，插入之后，该弹簧在隔间内紧紧托住纸牌以便在装入、洗牌或卸载期间当传送带旋转(由箭头94所示)时，纸牌在所选的隔间内保持稳固状态。

在一个理想的例子中，弃牌盘的位置在组形成盘之间被分配以便传送带的行程在随机分配过程中被最小化。对于不同的纸牌游戏来说，弃牌盘的给定位置可以是不同的。在本发明的第一个例子中，所有隔间均是相同尺寸，使得给不同的隔间分配正被收集的每个不同数量纸牌的手牌的弃牌收集功能成为可能。
该实施例的一个新特点是纸牌路径实际上是直的和水平的。该纸牌沿着自纸牌进给区向对准的隔间88的一条直的路径移动最小的距离。当纸牌到达最后一组推进滚轮时，纸牌被轻轻地向上偏转并且进入隔间。该路径的长度被保持在一个最小数以最小化该设备的长度，并使提供速度最大化。本实施例的另一新特点是进给纸牌路径被定位在输出纸牌路径和输出盘24的下方，以下将对此做更详细的描述。使进给路径上方的输出纸牌路径和/或盘24分层能够有利地使进给盘和输出盘被定位在该机器的同一侧。据本发明人所知，此前，纸牌路径的物理排列在本技术中还未被实施过。可选地，该设备可被如果配置，即纸牌输出路径在纸牌输入路径的下方经过。
现参照图3，所示的是作为示例的洗牌器20的一张顶部平面图。该纸牌进给盘22被定位在沿轴96的中心位置，邻近纸牌输出盘24、纸牌处理区23和触屏显示屏42。进给盘装备有双重功能门98，以下将对其功能进行详细描述。纸牌进给盘22亦包含一种位于下表面上的纸牌出现感应器100。
倾斜的小切口102、104、106、108被提供在纸牌进给盘22和纸牌输出盘24的内表面，以便利处理纸牌。该切口的尺寸和形状最好能够适配用户的手指，提供一个辅助的人机工程学特点。
提供传送带作为扑克牌处理区的另一优势是该机器在游戏桌上有一个低的轮廓。如图1和图1A中所示，大约一半的传送带位于游戏桌桌面的下方。
装牌器臂(Packer Arm)
再参照图2，纸牌沿着一条纸牌路径移动，直至被插入至一个对准的隔间88内。在一个洗牌器模式中，微处理器随机地将隔间指派给被插入至牌副中的每张纸牌。一旦纸牌48离开邻近的滚轮组72、73，附加方法被提供用于克服板弹簧的力并且充分地插入一张纸牌。接近推进滚轮对72、73的装牌器臂110提供该所需的力。图4所示的是从对面所看到的装牌器臂110的一张详细的侧面正视图。被安装在洗牌器框架112上的一种电动机111使轴114旋转。偏心凸轮117被安装在轴114上。装牌器臂110被延长。该臂的第一端以枢轴方式在枢轴113被安装至凸轮117。支点116被定位在在装牌器臂110的中点。第二臂118在支点120将装牌器臂110和支点116连接至框架112。
在操作上，当电动机被接通时，轴114旋转，导致装牌器臂110的上端122在一个弧形路径内按照箭头124所指定的方向前后移动。上端122与出现在对准的隔间内的纸牌接触，迫使该纸牌完全进入该隔间内。随着凸轮117继续旋转，装牌器臂110收缩。典型地，当传送带旋转时装牌器臂110收缩，当传送带静止时装牌器臂110伸展。
牌副移出(Card Pack Removal)
一旦纸牌向隔间内之分配完成，根据微处理器的编程，该隔间可供用于卸载。可选地，只要指定数量的纸牌已经被提供至隔间，则该隔间可供用于卸载，即使其他隔间还未被装满。可供使用的隔间最好被随机选择用于卸载。再参照图2，通过纸牌牌副移出设备125，纸牌卸载过程更为便利。移出设备125包含一种绕水平轴128沿枢轴转动的枢轴摇臂126。该摇臂126在其上端130装备有一种可伸缩的内部凸出接头(进入纸内)，当该臂向输出盘24摆动时向内延伸至一个隔间内，但当该臂摆回至靠近该隔间内周132的一个静止位置时，则收缩。在该延伸的装置，该接头接触纸牌。该摇臂由一种步进电动机134所驱动，具有支撑滑轮138的一种旋转轴136。空转滑轮137、139亦被安装在支撑框架112上旋转。循环部件140接触滑轮137、138和139并在点142被紧附在摇臂126上以便当步进发电机134被接通时该摇臂向输出盘24移动并将纸牌组移至卸载滚轮对146、148。附着点142是一种夹具，但亦可以是任何其他已知的将一个皮带固定至一种移动对象上的方式。旋转轴136的旋转方向被倒转，将摇臂带回其最初位置。
当摇臂的内接头与被安装在框架112上的固定接头接触时，该内接头收缩。
纸牌进给路径(Card Feed Path)
离开一个所选隔间的每张纸牌或诸纸牌的路径实质上是水平的并且位于纸牌进给路径的上方。纸牌自与滚轮对146、148对准的隔间移出，然后进入输出盘24，在此，纸牌可由终端用户使用。纸牌出现感应器152位于输出盘24的下表面并且用于通知处理机：无纸牌出现。之后，该处理机透过向该设备发送信号做出响应，以提供另一组纸牌。最后一组纸牌被提供之后，组中剩下的纸牌或者自动设置为卸载。
传输带驱动(Carousel Drive)

纸牌卸载滚轮对驱动(Card Unloading Roller Pair Drive)
图2所示的滚轮对146、148由附在框架112上的电动机170所驱动。滑轮172被附着在电动机170的轴174上，驱动卸载滚轮对146、148。在该设备的对侧是啮合齿轮176，使得滚轮对146、148被一致地驱动。循环部件178接触支撑滚轮146的轴182上的滑轮180。当电动机170被接通时，滚轮对146和148旋转将一张纸牌或一组纸牌(无论隔间内有什么)移动或存放至输出盘24。
传送带驱动机制的例二(Example II of aCarousel Drive Mechanism)
在本发明的另一例子中，小齿轮200被安装在传送带206上的一个带齿内槽202上。驱动电动机208以一种常规方式驱动小齿轮200，使得传送带206围绕轴209旋转。在至少一个洗牌期间、装载期间和卸载期间，驱动电动机208驱动轴209以向前或相反的方向旋转。
纸牌进给盘门(Card Infeed Tray Gate)
现参照图7，一种枢轴门98被提供在纸牌进给盘内。该门有利地具有许多重要的功能。门98最好延伸该纸牌进给盘的长度(从该机器的一侧至另一侧)并自第一垂直和缩进枢轴位置(未示)向第二向下角度部分嵌入的位置302围绕枢轴中心线300转动。滚轮304位于枢轴300对面的一个边缘，其目的是减少与盘内纸牌的摩擦接触。由于盘内纸牌的数量被减少，纸牌的重量被减轻，减少了盘内最下面纸牌与进给滚轮之间的摩擦力。当剩下纸牌的数量减少时该设备调整纸牌上的力使其增加的一个例子引起被施加在该张最下面纸牌上的一个恒力。该门提供针对纸牌的附加重量，改善摩擦接触并保证最后几张纸牌被放入第一辊隙。
枢轴门的第二个重要功能是提供属于不同牌副的纸牌之间或者不同类型纸牌(例如常规纸牌和奖励纸牌)之间的一种物理隔离物。当纸牌保留在进给盘并且洗牌器为洗牌而主动地接收纸牌时，该门位于下方的位置。同时，发牌人可能正在从游戏桌收集使用过的纸牌。因为该门处于下方的位置，当来自另一牌副(牌副B)的未被进给的纸牌正在被进给时，发牌人可将来自正在使用的牌副(牌副A)的使用过的纸牌放在该门的顶部。本发明的实施例允许用户从第二个牌副进给纸牌时自第一个牌副装入纸牌。该门允许游戏场取消典型地被安装在游戏桌桌面上的物理弃牌架，因为现在可以将使用过的纸牌直接放置到进给盘内。一旦来自牌副B的最后一张纸牌被进给，该门围绕轴300旋转，将之前悬挂在该门上方的纸牌释放到下方的区域。在缩进的位置，该门不阻碍用户插入附加纸牌。该门设计的另一特征是相对于纸牌进给盘22基底306的枢轴300的相关定位，及与纸牌宽度相关的该门98的长度。枢轴300位于进给盘上表面的下方以便终端用户能够畅通无阻。该轴与进给盘22的下表面308留开间隔以便纸牌的整副纸牌(或多副纸牌)要在盘内被接收。长度310足够短以便当门98绕轴向上旋转(箭头312)时纸牌会升起，之后在不翻转纸牌的情况下再释放和落在进给盘内。一个理想的门长度大约是纸牌宽度的三分之一。基底306上的步进电动机以一种常规的方式驱动门98的旋转。
成像系统(Imaging System)

奖励系统(Bonusing System)

网络功能(Network Capability)
如上所述，本发明的设备至少能够识别纸牌的出现、算牌及阅读等级和花色信息。当每张纸牌从纸牌进给盘经过洗牌隔间时，该牌副的完整性亦可被验证。如果一张纸牌失踪或多余的纸牌出现，则一种警告信号被显示在显示屏上，或者可选地，一种警告信号透过一种网络连接被发送至一台玩牌区管理计算机。
洗牌器微处理器401和纸牌识别微处理器408(单独地或者作为一种组合的处理机)包含一种网络连接并能在诸如以太网的一种本地网络412上发送和接收信息。
在图9所示的例子中，只有纸牌识别微处理器与网络进行通信。洗牌器本身可发送和接收与所需的维护或修理有关的信息。以太网亦可自游戏桌上的其他数据收集设备收集和/或处理数据，诸如射频识别游戏注金额感应器、对象感应器、筹码盘存货感应器等。数据可在游戏桌上被收集并被发送至一种远端数据库供后续的分析和处理，或者被实时分析。
本发明的纸牌处理设备可包含一种数据端口414，该端口与洗牌器处理器、纸牌识别处理器或两者均进行通信。该通信端口可直接向一台单独的打印机416直接输出信息或者可将一台打印机包含在该洗牌器内。
其他功能(Other Functions)
本发明的纸牌处理设备能够执行在本发明之前不为人知的多项功能。例如，该设备可被配置用于使用一种无线或有线通信网络并将与维护、修理、机器序列号、当前或过去操作、性能或使用有关的信息传送给设备供应商或用户。
该设备亦可被编程以多种模式运行(即设置、运行、维修)并在不断电的情况下在各模式之间转换。
此外，当该机器处于维修模式并且用户输入一个用于自我诊断的请求时或者当一张纸牌被进给至该机器并创建一份所有操作元件的功能报告时，该机器可被编程用于运行一种自我诊断。该信息可被发送至附着在洗牌器上或被包含在洗牌器内的一台打印机。
本发明的上述例子是非限定性的。本发明的许多其他变种是可行的。例如，无疑地可设计一种提供一种能够只进行牌副验证、纸牌排序、将纸牌退出使用等的纸牌处理区。众多纸牌阅读系统和方案可被用来代替所公开的感应系统。触屏显示器可被用来输入为洗牌器用于游戏场进行编程所需的任何信息。此外，数据收集和分析硬件及软件的许多不同排列可连同本发明的洗牌器被使用以获取关于玩家表现和有关一个游戏场游戏的输/赢信息的信息。

Claims (34)

1.一种扑克牌处理设备，具有第一侧和第二对侧，包含：
一种纸牌进给盘；
一种纸牌输出盘；
一种纸牌处理区，其中所述纸牌进给盘和纸牌输出盘均位于所述设备的第一侧上，其中所述纸牌进给盘的上部边缘和纸牌输出盘的上部边缘在同一平面上。
2.根据权利要求1所述的扑克牌处理设备，其中，所述纸牌处理区包含一种洗牌区。
3.根据权利要求2所述的扑克牌处理设备，其中，所述洗牌区包含一种带有用于接收扑克牌的隔间的传送带。
4.根据权利要求2所述的扑克牌处理设备，其中，所述洗牌区包含一种带有用于接收扑克牌的隔间的架。
5.根据权利要求2所述的扑克牌处理设备，其中，所述洗牌区包含一种带有用于扑克牌的隔间的扇状物。
6.根据权利要求2所述的扑克牌处理设备，其中，所述洗牌区包含一种带有用于扑克牌的随机弹出系统。
7.根据权利要求1所述的扑克牌处理设备，其中，所述纸牌进给盘包含一种活动门，所述门能够提供正在被进给纸牌和玩牌之后正在被返回至扑克牌输入隔间的纸牌的一种物理分隔。
8.根据权利要求1所述的扑克牌处理设备，其中，纸牌输入盘和纸牌输出盘的上表面被表面安装在一个游戏桌的表面。
9.根据权利要求1所述的扑克牌处理设备，其中有一个扑克牌从进给盘至扑克牌处理区的扑克牌移动传输路径，其中，所述路径在所述输出盘的下方经过。
10.根据权利要求9所述的扑克牌处理设备，其中，所述传输路径实质上是线性的。
11.根据权利要求1所述的扑克牌处理设备，进一步包含一种带有触屏控制器的显示屏、所述显示屏显示信息而触屏控制器用于输入信息。
12.根据权利要求11所述的扑克牌处理设备，其中，所述触屏控制器被用于为所述纸牌处理系统编程。
13.根据权利要求12所述的扑克牌处理设备，其中，所述指令包含该组中至少之一，该组包含：游戏桌位置的数量、每个手牌的纸牌数量、发牌人纸牌的数量、公用牌的数量、奖励纸牌的数量、每个牌副的纸牌数量和游戏名称。
14.用于游戏场或牌室的一种扑克牌洗牌设备，包含：
具有一种处理器的一种扑克牌洗牌器、其内结合有触屏控制器的一种图表显示屏，
所述图表显示屏自动显示来自洗牌器的信息，所述触屏控制器能够向处理器发送用户输入的数据，影响洗牌器的运行和活动。
15.根据权利要求14所述的扑克牌洗牌设备，其中，触屏控制器被用于为所述洗牌器编程，其中，至少以下类型的信息之一透过触屏控制器可被输入：游戏桌位置的数量、每个手牌的纸牌数、发牌人纸牌的数量、公用牌数量、奖励纸牌数量、每个牌副的纸牌数量和游戏名称。
16.根据权利要求14所述的设备，其中被自动显示的信息包含至少以下之一：产品名称、游戏场名称、游戏桌识别、游戏名称、洗牌次数、派发的手牌数、错误信息、警告信息、使用指示、纸牌阻塞、需要维修和编程提示。
17.一种游戏桌纸牌博彩系统，包含：
一种扑克牌处理设备，其中，所述扑克牌处理设备能够：
形成一组待提供至一种真人纸牌游戏的纸牌，
读取等级和花色；及
透过一种网络连接至少向一台外部计算机和一种数据库传送至少代表纸牌组构成的数据。
18.根据权利要求17所述的系统，其中，纸牌组选自下面的组，该组包含：玩家手牌、发牌人手牌、部分玩家手牌、部分发牌人手牌、奖励手牌和一组公用纸牌。
19.根据权利要求17所述的系统，其中，所述洗牌器亦向至少一台外部计算机传送并且与发生在洗牌器内的事件有关的数据库数据选自该组，该组包含：纸牌进给的开始、开始派牌、开始洗牌、结束洗牌、结束发牌、洗牌完成、隔间为满、隔间为空、洗牌器被卸载、发牌人启动信号及洗牌器被装载。
20.根据权利要求19所述的系统，其中，数据透过一种无线网络被传输。
21.根据权利要求19所述的系统，其中，数据是一种内部洗牌器指令，所述指令与纸牌游戏中一个玩牌回合的开始发牌或完成发牌有关。
22.用于洗牌器的一种纸牌进给模块，所述进给模块包含：
一种纸牌进给盘，具有一种下表面和至少两个用于支撑纸牌的实质上垂直的壁；及
一种以枢轴方式被安装在所述下表面上方的纸牌门，能够在一个较低的位置施加一个向下的力并能够将正在被进给至一个洗牌器的纸牌与在使用之后正在被返回至进给盘的纸牌进行分隔。
23.根据权利要求22所述的纸牌进给模块，并进一步包含一种进给滚轮，所述滚轮具有一个经下表面延伸的接触面，将最下面的一张纸牌移出纸牌进给盘。
24.根据权利要求22所述的纸牌进给模块，其中，所述纸牌门以枢轴方式围绕一个水平轴被安装。
25.根据权利要求22所述的纸牌进给模块，其中，纸牌进给完成之后，纸牌门自动地沿枢轴向上旋转将分开的纸牌降低至下表面。
26.根据权利要求14所述的扑克牌洗牌设备，其中，所述洗牌设备被如是安装以便图表显示屏位于游戏桌桌面的下方。
27.一种用于真人纸牌游戏的奖励系统，包含：
能够响应来自一台中央计算机的信号分配奖励纸牌的多台洗牌器；及
用于控制奖励纸牌的分配的一种中央计算机，其中，每个洗牌器能够接收来自所述中央计算机的至少一个指令以分配一张奖励纸牌并向所述中央计算机发送一个指令。
28.根据权利要求27所述的系统，其中，洗牌器被安装在至少两种不同类型的纸牌游戏游戏桌上。
29.根据权利要求1所述的洗牌器，其中，所述纸牌处理区包含一种洗牌机制；并进一步包含一种处理器，其中，所述处理器被编程用于运行一种诊断例行程序，响应至少一张纸牌的插入。
30.根据权利要求29所述的洗牌器，其中，作为第一张纸牌被插入纸牌进给区的响应，所述诊断例行程序被执行。
31.根据权利要求1所述的纸牌处理设备，其中，所述纸牌处理区是一种传送带并进一步包含一种传送带罩。
32.根据权利要求31所述的纸牌处理设备，其中，所述罩是可拆卸的。
33.根据权利要求32所述的纸牌处理设备，其中，所述罩包含一种锁。
34.根据权利要求33所述的纸牌处理设备，其中所述锁是一种机械锁。
