例如蜂窝式电话102的无线客户端计算装置上安装有或以其它方式下载有一个或一个以上软件应用，例如游戏、新闻、股票监视器等。举例来说，蜂窝式电话102可接收从应用下载服务器106下载的一个或一个以上软件应用。软件应用在不使用时可存储在本地数据库214中。蜂窝式电话102或其它无线计算装置可将存储在本地数据库214中的驻存应用上载到存储器212，以便在用户需要或另一API调用时在API 210上执行。
如本文中所使用，“客户端装置”、“无线装置”或“客户端计算装置”包含(例如)执行驻存的经配置逻辑的一个或一个以上处理电路，其中此类计算装置包含(例如)微处理器、数字信号处理器(DSP)、微控制器、便携式无线电话、个人数字助理(PDA)，和寻呼装置，或含有经配置以至少执行本文中针对客户端装置与服务器之间传送的通告而描述的操作的处理器和逻辑的硬件、软件和/或固件的任何适当组合。相对于至少此类通告，可由至少一个远程服务器来服务客户端计算装置。可根据本发明的各种实施例使用的“无线计算装置”的一些实例包含蜂窝式电话或其它无线通信单元、PDA、膝上型计算机、寻呼装置、导航装置(例如，基于GPS的系统)、手持式游戏装置、音乐或视频内容下载单元，和其它类似的无线通信装置。
客户端装置102与BTS 204之间的无线通信可基于不同技术，例如码分多址(CDMA)、时分多址(TDMA)、频分多址(FDMA)、全球移动通信系统(GSM)，或可在无线通信网络或数据通信网络中使用的其它协议。数据通信通常在客户端装置102、BTS 204与MSC 202之间。MSC 202可连接到多个数据网络，例如运营商网络200、PSTN、因特网、虚拟专用网络等，因此允许客户端装置接入到较广的通信网络。如上文所论述，除了语音传输以外，还可经由SMS或此项技术中已知的其它OTA方法来将数据传输到客户端装置。
在图3中，说明预付帐户的使用的一个示范性实施例。在此情形下，在包含客户端装置的无线通信系统中执行多个功能，所述客户端装置包含收发器和经配置以执行多种功能的逻辑。所属领域的技术人员将了解，也可在非无线通信系统(例如，固定电话)中实施所论述的各种实施例。
为特定用户建立主要帐户302。举例来说，主要帐户302可表示与用户的移动电话帐户相关联的每月费用和计费。除了主要帐户302以外，还建立了至少一个次要帐户304，且所述至少一个次要帐户304与同一用户的主要帐户相关联。在此特定实例中，次要帐户304可含有用于某一其它服务(例如，游戏、数据内容预订等)的主要帐户的持有人的预付量。
在数据内容传递和使用与语音电话使用相比占优势的实施例中，所属领域的技术人员将了解，在不脱离本发明的精神和范围的情况下，可将主要帐户(例如，电话)建立为次要帐户，且可将次要帐户(例如，数据服务)建立为主要帐户。观点是，可使用一个帐户并将其应用于一种给定服务，且可使用另一单独帐户并将其应用于另一单独服务。
管理对主要帐户和次要帐户两者进行的记入。为了简单起见，图3展示对次要帐户的管理，但将理解，可结合主要帐户而使用相关帐户管理技术。监视对次要帐户304进行的记入，以便确定已使用或花费了多少帐户值且剩余多少帐户值306。
用户可接着针对记入进行提取，并监视剩余在次要帐户304中的预付量。一旦用完次要帐户中的资金，用户不能再对次要帐户进行记入，直到采取进一步动作为止。一种选择是(视需要)可在帐户中没有剩余值的时间点或在增加可用的预付量或将预付量提高到阈值水平的某一其它时间点对次要帐户308进行充值。另一种选择是可无期限地将帐户维持为无资金，或直到将对次要帐户进行总体或部分充值的将来某日期为止。
以下实例说明一个示范性实施方案情形。家长已给予子女使用特定移动电话的权利和特权，子女使用所述特定移动电话并用其进行呼叫，为此，家长可能在主要帐户中支付每月电话计费。通过用于所述特定电话并与主要帐户相关联的识别符[例如，订户身份(SID)]，将每月电话计费关联、分组并管理为属于主要帐户。
作为次要帐户的实例，家长在次要帐户中存入额外预付计费$10，所述次要帐户与所述SID和用于参与小孩在过去喜欢参与或者表现出在将来参与的兴趣的特定游戏X的特定电话相关联。换句话说，所述特定小孩具有用于参与游戏X的计费$10。接着，小孩可参与游戏，直到达到＄10的限制为止。仅在将额外资金存入到次要帐户中时才可参与后续游戏。
在另一实例中，帐户中的预付量可通常针对游戏的一般群组，且因而小孩可再分派对于经授权的多个不同游戏的预付量或帐户的一部分。次要帐户的另一实例将为用于体育、娱乐或教育内容的多媒体剪辑下载的$20。
所述概念在于，存在与主要帐户分离的次要帐户，且此次要帐户可用来存入用于可在特定无线装置上存取的某一其它类型的数据服务的额外计费。
在另一实例中，主要帐户与高速数据内容传递系统(例如，高速因特网连接)的计费相关联。在此实例中，次要帐户将为用于预订具有高级绘图功能的股票或日用品研究服务和新闻来源的$20。
所属领域的技术人员将了解，不同主要帐户可设立有次要帐户的不同变更，且反之亦然。而且，在不脱离如本文中所呈现的本发明的精神和范围的情况下，可存在结合主要帐户而使用的第三、第四、第五等帐户。
使用多个帐户允许第三方将资金存入多个帐户，且将用户原本可能无法经历的不同应用、数据服务和数据内容介绍给用户。这两个方面使用户的最终经验变得丰富，且向其他人(例如，游戏开发者)提供能够使预期用户专注于特定游戏且从新产品版本产生未来收入流的手段。
在另一实施例中，将所述至少一个主要帐户和所述至少一个次要帐户链接或关联在一起，且以预定方式管理两个帐户中的各自帐户值。
图4是说明根据本发明的至少一个实施例管理主要帐户400和次要帐户402的记帐管理器404的图。记帐管理器404可执行与记帐相关的许多不同操作。举例来说，记帐管理器404可监视帐户、管理帐户且实现主要帐户400与次要帐户402之间的帐户资金转移。
举例来说，假设家长不想为主要帐户和次要帐户的组合计费支付超过总共$100。家长每月在主要帐户中分配$60用于电话计费，且每月在次要帐户中分配$40用于游戏计费(针对上文提到的总共$100)。如果小孩在其电话使用方面表现出控制和约束，且每月仅花费主要帐户中的$30美元，那么可将主要帐户中未使用的剩余$30部分(或其一部分)添加或转移到储存在次要帐户中的$40美元量，使得次要帐户中总共达$70。最终结果是，没有超出家长针对两个帐户建立的$100的组合限制，且交易中涉及的各方都很高兴。
图5是说明根据本发明的至少一个实施例的记帐管理器和客户端装置的无线网络结构的图。记帐管理器540可操作地耦合到能够支持记帐操作的至少一个服务器(未说明)。图5所示的配置展示，允许记帐管理器540接入不同运营商网络550、560，且最终接入与每一网络通信的不同客户端装置552、562。这使记帐管理器540能够接入驻存在多个运营商网络(例如，550、560)上的多个客户端装置(例如，552、562)。应理解，可在中心位置(例如，记帐管理器)处执行记帐管理器操作，或可在每一客户端装置内以非集中方式、或以分摊在记帐管理器540与多个客户端552、562之间的集中式和非集中式操作的组合来执行记帐管理器操作。
在进一步实施例中，所属领域的技术人员将了解，可通过执行体现在计算机可读媒体(例如，计算机平台的存储器)上的程序来实施上述方法。指令可驻存在各种类型的信号承载或数据存储主要、次要或三级媒体上。所述媒体可包括(例如)可供客户端装置和/或服务器存取或驻存在客户端装置和/或服务器内的RAM。不管包含在RAM、盘片还是其它次要存储媒体中，指令可存储在多种机器可读数据存储媒体上，例如直接存取存储装置(DASD)存储装置(例如，常规“硬盘驱动器”或RAID阵列)、磁带、电子只读媒体(例如，ROM或EEPROM)、快闪存储卡、光学存储装置(例如，CD-ROM、WORM、DVD、数字光带)、纸张“打孔”卡，或包含数字和模拟传输媒体的其它适当的数据存储媒体。

Claims (21)

客户端装置，其包括：
收发器；
经配置以建立至少一个主要帐户的逻辑，其中所述至少一个主要帐户表示周期性地记入所述记帐帐户的周期性费用；以及
经配置以建立至少一个次要帐户的逻辑，其中所述至少一个次要帐户表示可用于所述记帐帐户的预付服务的量。
2.根据权利要求1所述的系统，其进一步包括：
经配置以处理按月记入的周期性费用的逻辑。
3.根据权利要求1所述的系统，其进一步包括：
经配置以处理用于应用的预付服务的量的逻辑。
4.根据权利要求1所述的系统，其进一步包括：
经配置以处理用于所提供的数据内容的预付服务的量的逻辑。
5.根据权利要求1所述的系统，其进一步包括：
经配置以链接所述至少一个主要帐户和所述至少一个次要帐户并以预定方式管理主要帐户值和次要帐户值两者的逻辑。
6.一种用于对预付帐户进行记帐的方法，其包括：
建立至少一个主要帐户，其中所述至少一个主要帐户表示周期性地记入所述记帐帐户的周期性费用；以及
建立至少一个次要帐户，其中所述至少一个次要帐户表示可用于所述记帐帐户的预付服务的量。
7.根据权利要求6所述的方法，其中所述周期性费用是周期性地记入所述帐户的。
8.根据权利要求7所述的方法，其中所述周期性费用是按月记入的。
9.根据权利要求6所述的方法，其中所述至少一个次要帐户表示预付服务的量。
10.根据权利要求7所述的方法，其中预付服务的所述量用于应用。
11.根据权利要求6所述的方法，其中预付服务的所述量用于所提供的内容。
12.一种无线客户端装置，其包括：
收发器；
用户接口；以及
记帐管理器，其管理至少一个主要帐户和至少一个次要帐户，且其中所述至少一个次要帐户表示预付服务的量。
13.根据权利要求12所述的客户端装置，其中所述客户端装置是无线计算装置、无线电话、膝上型计算机、蜂窝式电话、个人数字助理(PDA)和寻呼装置中的至少一者。
14.一种上面存储有用于管理记帐帐户的计算机程序的计算机可读媒体，所述计算机程序包括当由至少一个计算装置执行时促使所述计算装置执行以下过程的指令：
建立至少一个主要帐户，其中所述至少一个主要帐户表示周期性地记入所述记帐帐户的周期性费用；以及
建立至少一个次要帐户，其中所述至少一个次要帐户表示可用于所述记帐帐户的预付服务的量。
15.根据权利要求14所述的计算机可读媒体，其进一步包括处理按月记入的周期性费用。
16.根据权利要求14所述的计算机可读媒体，其进一步包括处理用于应用的预付服务的量。
17.根据权利要求14所述的计算机可读媒体，其进一步包括链接所述至少一个主要帐户和所述至少一个次要帐户并以预定方式管理主要帐户值和次要帐户值两者。
18.一种实现记帐帐户的服务器，其包括：
用于建立至少一个主要帐户的装置，其中所述至少一个主要帐户表示周期性地记入所述记帐帐户的周期性费用；以及
用于建立至少一个次要帐户的装置，其中所述至少一个次要帐户表示可用于所述记帐帐户的预付服务的量。
19.根据权利要求18所述的服务器，其进一步包括用于处理按月记入的周期性费用的装置。
20.根据权利要求18所述的服务器，其进一步包括用于处理用于应用的预付服务的量的装置。
21.根据权利要求18所述的服务器，其进一步包括用于链接所述至少一个主要帐户和所述至少一个次要帐户的装置，和用于以预定方式管理主要帐户值和次要帐户值两者的装置。
