的表面上。当如上所述涂敷热敏色固层73时,热敏色固层73适于在其被热能头30加热的部分显现颜色,如图7的左下段所示。因为显现颜色的部分与转印部分相同,所以使用者能够通过观察热敏色固层73来识别待打印的内容。可以通过简单地在待打印的印字带上涂敷热敏色固剂来使热敏色固层显现颜色,而无需相对于图6所示的转印过程添加任何新的过程。当在热敏色固层73中显现的颜色设置成与墨层59的颜色相同时,使用者不仅能够识别待打印的内容,而且能够识别待打印的颜色。这里,假如粘合剂溢出印字带10,则溢出的粘合剂可能会粘附到热能头30或压纸辊33。如图8所示,假如基底层58和粘合剂层60具有相同的侧向尺寸,则粘合剂层60可能会溢出。因此,溢出的粘合剂可能会粘附至热能头30或压纸辊33。然后,如图9所示,可以通过使粘合剂层60的侧向尺寸小于基底层58 (即, 印字带IO)的侧向尺寸,来防止粘合剂的溢出。图IO示出了印字带IO和粘合剂层60之间的侧向关系,表示了涂敷粘合剂的范围窄于印字带IO的面积。还有,如图9所示,还可通过使墨层59的侧向尺寸小于印字带10的侧向尺寸, 来防止墨的溢出。图8示出了粘合剂层60和墨层59都具有较小的侧向尺寸的情况。这里,可以仅仅使粘合剂层60的侧向尺寸或仅仅使墨层59的侧向尺寸变得较小。在图9所示的结构中,通过改变待打印介质的结构来防止粘合剂或墨的粘附, 而无需改变热能头30和压纸辊33的结构。这里,如图11所示,可以通过改变热能头30和压纸辊33的结构来防止粘合剂或墨的粘附。也就是说,假如热能头的侧向尺寸和/或压纸辊33的侧向尺寸小于印字带10 的侧向尺寸,则即使墨或粘合剂溢出也可防止溢出的粘合剂粘附到热能头30或压纸辊33。还有,图11示出了热能头30的侧向尺寸和压纸辊33的侧向尺寸都小于印字带10的侧向尺寸的结构,还可釆用以下结构,其中只有热能头的侧向尺寸或只有压纸辊33的侧向尺寸变得较小。还有,如图12所示,可以采用图9和图11的组合结构。在这种情况下,可以防止粘合剂或墨的溢出,并且即使粘合剂或墨溢出也可防止溢出的粘合剂或墨粘附到压纸辊33。如同在上文中详细描述的,根据本实施例的印字带10和打印机1,印字带IO 形成为包括基底层58、墨层59和一旦被加热时显现出自粘合性的粘合剂层60,它们顺序堆叠成一体的分层结构。当通过热能头30来选择性地加热该印字带10以形成图像时,墨层59的其上形成图像的被加热部分68粘附到粘合剂层60的被加热部分69,同时,粘合剂层60的被加热部分69显示出自粘合性,由此将印字带IO 只在被加热的部分显示出自粘合性,而在未被加热的部分不显示出自粘合性,所以可以清楚地确定显示出自粘合性的部分的边界,从而使得只有显示出自粘合性的部分转印至目标转印本体70。因为墨层59的被加热部分68和粘合剂层60的被加热部分69只在被加热的所想要的打印部分粘合,同时,粘合剂层60显示出自粘合性,所以可以通过在印字带10粘附到目标转印本体70之后剥去印字带10的简单操作,使墨层59的被加热部分68能容易地转印到目标转印本体70,而无需从基底层58的那侧施加压力并摩擦。结果,任何使用者可以容易地实施印字,而没有任何个体差异。还有,因为粘合剂层和/或墨层的侧向尺寸小于印字带的侧向尺寸,所以可以防止粘合剂和/或墨从印字带溢出。还有,因为热能头和/或压纸辊的侧向尺寸小于印字带的侧向尺寸,所以即使粘合剂和/或墨从印字带溢出,也可防止粘合剂和/或墨粘附到热能头和/或压纸辊。因为印字带10在粘合剂层60那侧设置有剥离纸61,所以可容易地运用印字带10而不会使任何粘合剂暴露于印字带10的表面上,即使粘合剂层60稍稍显示出自粘合性也是如此。因此,当粘合剂层60在选择性地被热能头30加热而显示出自粘合性时,可以防止由于印字带IO粘附到设置在打印机1中且有送带功能的压纸辊3并被压纸辊3钩住而在打印机1中引起的故障。因为不必考虑粘合剂相对于压纸辊33的材料的相容性,所以可以扩展用于压纸辊33的材料的选择范围。此外, 因为粘合剂没有露出,所以不必立即将带子转印到目标转印本体70上以保护带子不粘附异物,可以在转印之前才剥去剥离纸60,由此能够根据需要地存储带子。因为印字带10巻绕成巻状,当印字带10安装在打印机1中时,可以防止印字带10发生折叠、弯曲和擦伤。因此,因为待安装的印字带10巻绕成巻63,所以即使在安装在盒壳52中的情况下也可使安装区域最小化,同时,可以使在盒壳52 (印字带10)设置成可打印状态。因此只有在印字带10的情况下,可以这样做而无需诸如布置印字带10使其相对于打印机1处于可打印状态之类的复杂操作。在提供给使用者之前将印字带10的巻63装在带盒26中,可以防止使用者可能误认带子的正面和背面而将印字带10错误地设置在打印机1中。因为在打印机1的盒安装部27中,带盒26可拆卸地安装在该盒安装部27中且该盒安装部27还包括热能头30和压纸辊33,所以印字带10的打印位置夹在热能头30和压纸辊33之间,同时,印字带10中的基底层58那侧邻抵在热能头30 在该印字带10中,可以简单地通过在将印字带传送到目标转印本体70之后去除印字带,来容易地将墨层的被加热部分转印到目标转印本体,而无需从基底层58的那侧施加压力并摩擦。然后,因为打印机1在带盒26的放带部67沿着送带方向的下游设置了切割器71和71以便切割印字带10,打印后的印字带10不必由剪刀或类似物来切割,由此可以减小印字带从沿带子纵向的至少一端的打印位置开始的长度。这可以在转印至目标转印本体70时容易地定位由该打印机1产生的印字带10。热敏色固剂涂敷在接触热能头的表面上,从而当印字带被加热时,热敏色固剂在被加热部分处显现颜色,由此可以在转印印字带之前识别印字带的打印内容。结果,可以防止转印错误的印字带。此外,当在热敏色固剂中显现的颜色设置成与墨层的颜色相同时,不仅可以识别待打印的内容,而且可以识别待打印的墨的颜色,
