技术领域
本发明一般涉及通过有线电视基础设施提供交互式电视服务，尤其涉及在视频点播(video-on-demand)平台上管理、转换和显示视频内容的系统和方法，特别是在电视机上用于下查式(drill-down)导航的广告显示以及消费者生成的分类广告的显示。
背景技术
在美国和其它技术先进国家，有线电视(CATV)系统被用于将电视服务传递到观看电视的千家万户。典型的CATV系统具有电缆服务提供商头端，该头端装备有视频服务器从而通过分布线路将CATV节目信号发送到各地方的节点并且从那里再发送到TV订户的家。在订户家里，CATV节目信号被发送到一个或多个客户-房屋TV，这些TV耦合到用于信道调谐的外部机顶盒或者装备有内部有线频道调谐器。
当前的CATV机顶盒提供了在订户和CATV头端之间进行信道切换和节目访问的各种功能。更先进的数字机顶盒可以单独地从CATV头端中寻址，并且也允许订户通过遥控单元输入他们的选择输入，以便在连接到CATV头端的电缆的后通道上进行传输，由此能够使订户访问到交互式电视服务和其它类型的先进数字TV服务。交互式电视系统的主要类型通常被称为“视频点播(VOD)系统，其中观看者可以通过遥控单元向机顶盒输入视频节目的选择并使所期望的视频节目瞬时传递过来以便显示在电视机上。这种VOD应用可以包括电影、纪录片、历史上的体育事件、电视节目、通知、广告、音乐视频、短片以及信息的单屏显示。基于VOD的交互式电视服务一般允许观看者使用遥控器在屏幕上的菜单中移动光标，并从所存储的视频节目的各种标题中选择想要观看的节目。先进的遥控单元包括带VCR相似功能的按钮控制，能够使观看者开始、停止、暂停、后退、或重播所选的视频节目或片段。将来，基于VOD的交互式电视服务可以与其它先进的交互式电视服务(比如网页浏览、电子邮件、电视购物(“t-商务”)交易、以及多媒体传递)结合在一起或一起传递，。
随着交互式电视服务的交互式功能和客户覆盖区域不断增大，广告商和内容提供商发现使用点播式广告、节目内容和TV交易对于家庭观看者越来越有吸引力。正在设计VOD内容传递平台，为无缝地且方便地将类型广泛的点播式广告、内容和交易服务传递到家庭观看者。一种先进VOD传递平台的示例是马萨诸塞州Needham镇的Navic Systems公司(d/b/a Navic Networks)所提供的N-波段(TM)系统。这是一种集成系统，它为第三方应用程序开发者提供了应用程序开发平台，用于开发新的VOD服务应用程序、观看者界面和辅助交互式服务，以便部署在全美国的电缆服务区域中CATV操作人员的VOD信道上。在2002年5月30日提交的美国专利申请2002/066,106中包含了关于Navic N-波段系统的详细描述，该专利被引用在此作为参考。

发明内容
根据本发明的第一目的，用于传递模板化VOD内容的视频点播(VOD)内容传递系统包括：
(a)位于电缆头端处的VOD应用程序服务器，它管理着多个模板的数据库，以便响应于从观看者的电视设备发送到电缆头端的观看者请求信号所请求的特定视频内容单元而产生模板化的VOD内容；
(b)视频服务器，用于存储被编码成视频内容单元的视频内容，还用于响应于VOD应用程序服务器而提供所请求的视频内容单元以便传递到观看者的电视设备；以及
(c)应用程序数据中心，用于创建并存储多个不同的模板，这些模板按一个层次排序，以便展示按分级次序归类的不同选择类型的视频内容单元，其中用于显示层次级别较高的视频内容单元的模板包括到层次级别较低的一个或多个模板的链接，所述多个分级排序的模板和链接被存储在VOD应用程序服务器所管理的数据库中，以及

在模板化VOD内容传递系统的较佳实施例中，该系统使用了模板化的内容传递来创建用户界面，以便用户在越来越多并行链接的更特定模板(显示广告)类型中巡航以达到用户感兴趣的目的主题。这里称之为“下查式广告”，一系列越来越多的更特定显示广告类型允许订户巡航到感兴趣的目的主题，，同时通过反映到感兴趣的目的主题的观看者路径的一系列广告的移动而具有独特的视觉体验。

根据本发明的第二目的，一种用于管理、转换和显示电视机上的顾客生成分类广告的视频点播(VOD)内容传递系统包括：
(a)内容管理站点，能够使单独的用户通过联机网络连接从他们的远程计算机中上传分类广告内容，所述上传的分类广告内容包括相关联的元数据，用于通过标题和话题范围来标识广告内容；
(b)内容筛选组件，用于接收被上传到内容管理站点的分类广告内容并筛选内容中令人反感的文本、音频、视频和/或图像等内容，还用于若发现令人反感的文本、音频、视频和/或图像则拒绝该内容；
(c)内容馈送组件，用于自动转移被内容筛选组件筛选过的分类广告内容以及相关联的元数据并且将他们提供给内容转换组件；
(d)内容转换组件，用于自动地将从内容馈送组件那里提供的被转移的分类广告内容转换成与VOD内容传递系统兼容的视频数据格式，还用于根据内容元数据中所指定的标题和话题范围来给视频服务器数据库中被转换好的分类广告内容自动地编索引；以及
(e)VOD应用程序服务器，它可操作地连接在所述内容转换组件和电缆头端之间，而电缆头端又通过电缆连接到观看者的电视设备，该VOD应用程序服务器响应于观看者通过电视设备发送到电缆头端的、用于请求感兴趣的特定分类广告的请求信号，从电缆头端传递分类广告标题和话题范围列表数据，这些数据是从要在观看者的电视设备上显示的分类广告内容的元数据中生成的，以便他们能够搜索感兴趣的分类广告，从而在视频服务器数据库中检索所请求的分类广告并将它发送到观看者的电视设备上显示出来。
在较佳的电视分类广告系统中，单独的用户可以通过他们的网页浏览器将包括工业标准文件格式的文本、音频、视频和/或图像文件等分类广告内容上传到内容管理站点。内容筛选组件被配置成解析该输入以寻找文本文件中令人反感的文本单词，检测音频文件中令人反感的音频单词，并可选地识别图形或视频文件中令人反感的图像。内容馈入组件自动地将已为显示适当地签过约(已付费并在签约期内)的分类广告内容发送到内容转换组件和视频服务器数据库。VOD应用程序服务器响应于观看者通过遥控输入的请求并从视频服务器数据库中检索按其标题和话题范围编过索引的被请求的分类广告以便显示在观看者的电视机上。内容管理站点也可以包括如下功能：(a)用户交易帐目的帐目管理；(b)内容分类，可便利于用户指定标题和话题范围从而独特地且有吸引力地标识他们的分类广告；(c)电子公告板，用于创建并管理与普遍感兴趣的通知和其它项有关的顾客生成的内容，这些内容要被显示给附属显示中的观看者；以及(d)交易处理，用于处理使用本系统中所用的用户费用、找零和退款等支付过程。
下面结合附图进一步地详细描述本发明的上述和其它目的、特征和优点。

具体实施方式
参照图1A，用于VOD内容传递系统的整个系统体系结构包括位于电缆头端处的VOD应用程序服务器10。VOD应用程序服务器10管理着模板和视频内容段的数据库11，视频内容段来自用于生成模板化的VOD内容的视频服务器12。VOD内容是响应于观看者请求信号而生成的，该请求信号是从观看者的电视设备的数字机顶盒21中经数字电缆电视系统13而发送到位于电缆头端处的VOD应用程序服务器10的。VOD应用程序服务器10的类型可以是能够装入该服务器并运行于该服务器上的任何符合兼容性而开发的VOD应用程序。这种VOD应用程序服务器的示例是上文提到的Navic N-Band(TM)服务器。在应用程序数据中心30处创建用于显示VOD内容的模板，并存储到数据库11中，以便由可操作的VOD应用程序使用。例如，可以设计模板使之在标志图框中呈现视频广告内容显示，或在目前被显示的视频内容四周的框中提供导航按钮和观看者选择选项。在下面更详细描述的较佳实施例中，在一系列越来越集中的广告显示类型中使用模板来提供导航帮助。使用视频内容编码器31将原始的视频馈入编码成与VOD平台兼容的格式化的视频内容段，并将它们通过视频内容分配网络14提供给视频服务器12。
在运行过程中，VOD应用程序服务器10运行用于CATV系统的VOD应用程序，例如“点播的汽车商业信息片”。通过按下观看者的遥控单元上的键发送一个IR信号到机顶盒21而启用一个用户请求信号，该请求信号经数字电缆电视系统13的底部信道被发送到电缆头端处的VOD应用程序服务器10，观看者便发送了一则选定VOD内容的请求，比如要看特定汽车制造商所制造的特定型号的商业信息片。响应于该信号，VOD应用程序服务器10确定所请求的VOD内容，从模板数据库11中检索商业信息片广告显示模板并从视频服务器12中检索视频内容段，以便生成相应的模板化VOD内容。在本发明中，模板是分级排序的多种不同类型，并且等级更高的模板中的内容显示包括观看者可选的、到层次级别较低的内容的多个链接。当用遥控选择一个链接时，VOD应用程序服务器10检索级别较低的模板和视频内容并将它显示给用户。每一个相继的模板化显示可以进一步包括相继地到层次级别更低的内容的链接，使得观看者可以使用一连串链接的模板化VOD显示作为一种“下查式导航”方法来找到感兴趣的特定目的内容。

在图1C中，一个示例示出了模板化的VOD显示是如何以多层的形式产生的。背景屏幕为显示提供了基本的颜色、标志、或图形主题。在背景上层叠了一个选定的模板(显示框)，该模板适合于原打算的显示所处于的导航等级。该模板通常具有一个框，其中所定义的各区域预留用作文本、显示图像、和导航链接(按钮)。最后，从数据库中检索出由相关的文本、图像和按钮构成的想要的内容，并将该内容层叠到该模板上。所产生的屏幕显示示出了组合后的背景标志或主题、导航框、以及文本、视频图像和按钮。

可以开发用于模板化VOD内容传递系统的另一个应用程序，以便支持按“下查式”方式链接从全国到地方的市场广告活动的视频广告。全国或地方的广告商都可以付费从而使其视频广告放在本系统上。当运行VOD应用程序时，作为入口而显示全国的广告，以链接到地方市场广告。这样，全国的广告可以用于将用户从对某一产品的一般兴趣转移到找到关于该产品在当地可购买的具体信息。
模板化的VOD内容传递系统也可以支持“通信量构建”视频，其中包括可能不产生直接收入的音乐视频。一旦对视频进行编码并注册到本系统中，则通过软件系统和自动控制来进行视频的管理和分配。该用户界面为用户提供了导航并找到所期望的视频内容的能力。类别的选择为用户呈现出可回放的视频标题的列表。可以用实时数据库询问来产生类别和标题列表，从而允许在该用户界面内对内容进行数据库驱动式管理。该用户界面也可以支持搜索界面，它允许用户搜索视频内容数据库，以产生带有特定特征的视频标题列表。
VOD内容传递系统的核心服务和功能可以包括：

用户界面系统的核心服务和功能可以包括：
UI“页面”的开发-基于互联网的系统可用于用户界面图像(″页面″)的组成、编码和质量保证，这些页面以交互式为主被呈现给用户。
类别和列表呈现-可以使用对视频元数据数据库的数据库询问来实时地产生并提交那些呈现给用户以便于导航和选择的类别列表和标题列表，如果实时询问不是必需的或想要的则这些列表也可以被包括到那些完全提交的图形中。

账户管理组件控制着个人对基于网页的内容管理系统的访问。账户管理组件识别第一次访问本系统的人，允许这些人通过提供账户名、密码、信用卡信息和付费所需的其它信息从而注册并创建一个账户。账户管理组件控制着注册用户对其账户的访问，并管理与所有账户有关的特权和安全。人们可以创建用于创建并管理分类广告的账户。也可由账户管理组件中的系统管理员来指派能够访问电子公告板管理应用程序的账户。能够访问电子公告板应用程序的任何账户都可以创建并管理用于所指派的公告板的公告板广告。
分类内容管理系统使用户能够以工业标准文件格式来上传用于分类广告的文本、音频、视频和/或图像文件，并将它转换成与VOD内容传递系统兼容的视频显示广告。用菜单和列表在观看者电视设备上对分类广告进行搜索，该菜单和列表是由与分类广告内容相关的元数据相对应的标题和话题范围来编索引的。被罗列的项的选择导致显示含所上传的文本、图像、视频和/或音频的电视显示。对于在数字电缆电视系统上维持并显示分类广告，用户要付列表费给系统的操作人员。
分类广告内容管理系统的显著特征包括：(a)输入关于该项目的描述性的数据和文本的能力；(b)将该项目的数字图像上传到内容管理系统；(c)将该项目的数字视频上传到内容管理系统；(d)将关于该项目的数字音频上传到内容管理系统；(e)对上传到本系统的数字图像进行自动尺寸和分辨率处理；(f)对上传到本系统的数字视频进行自动数字格式转换；(g)对上传到本系统的数字音频进行自动数字格式转换；(h)使用户从可获得的模板类别中选择交互式电视屏幕设计(模板)的能力；(i)具有在网页浏览器上观看包含顾客提供的内容的交互式电视模板的能力；(j)具有将分类内容保存到持久存储器或存储装置中以便随后修改；(k)将分类内容标记为完成的且准备用于提交到交互式电视系统的能力；(l)当分类内容变得可由交互式电视系统的用户来访问时指定日期和时间的能力以及当从交互式电视系统的显示中除去分类内容项时指定日期和时间的能力；(m)通过电子邮件或其它通信系统把安排要在交互式电视系统上显示或从交互式电视系统中除去特定的内容通知用户的能力；(n)修改并再次提交之前创建的分类内容以便显示在交互式电视系统上的能力；(o)访问由跟踪系统所产生的观看数据的能力，该数据关于交互式电视系统的用户对特定顾客生成内容的访问和使用；以及(p)通过使用交易处理系统来计算分类内容的费用并提交费用的支付的能力。
如上述(i)所述，分类内容管理系统允许用户看到他们用模板写出的内容。特别地设计这些模板成为可在交互式电视系统上使用，并且用户能够在网页界面上看到针对在电视机上呈现而写的内容。如上述(j)所述，分类内容管理系统允许对分类内容作持久的存储；尽管用户正在用模板系统写交互式电视页面，但是作为单独的单元持久地存储该内容，以便按不同的交互式电视系统的要求简化用户作出的改变并允许把该内容转换成不同的格式。

作为一种替代方案，电子公告板可以显示作为文本的内容，其中用户使文本滚动，或文本自动地滚动。针对在交互式电视系统上发布电子公告板内容从而显示在数字电缆电视系统上，电子公告板账户将支付由本系统的操作人员决定的费用。电子公告板内容管理系统的显著特征包括：(a)输入关于该项目的描述性数据和文本的能力；(b)将数字图像上传到内容管理；(c)将数字视频上传到内容管理系统；(d)将数字音频上传到内容管理系统；(e)对上传到本系统的数字图像进行自动尺寸和分辨率处理；(f)对上传到本系统的数字视频进行自动数字格式转换；(g)对上传到本系统的数字音频进行自动数字格式转换；(h)让用户从可获得的模板类别中选择交互式电视屏幕设计(模板)的能力；(i)在网页浏览器上观看包含顾客提供的电子公告板内容的交互式电视模板的能力；(j)能够将电子公告板内容保存到持久存储器或存储装置中以便随后修改的能力；(k)将电子公告板内容标记为完成的且准备用于提交到交互式电视系统的能力；(l)当特定电子公告板内容变得可由交互式电视系统的用户来访问时指定日期和时间以及当从交互式电视系统的显示中除去特定的电子公告板内容时指定日期和时间的能力；(m)通过电子邮件或其它通信系统通知用户安排要在交互式电视系统上显示或从交互式电视系统中除去特定的电子公告板内容的能力；(n)修改并再次提交之前创建的电子公告板内容以便显示在交互式电视系统上的能力；(o)访问由跟踪系统所产生的观看数据的能力，该数据关于交互式电视系统的用户对特定电子公告板内容的访问和使用；以及(p)与交易处理组件相结合来计算电子公告板内容的费用并提交费用的支付的能力。
交易处理组件允许分类内容管理系统和电子公告板内容管理系统的用户确定并支付他们使用这些系统所产生的任何费用。交易处理组件将允许用户通过使用信用卡或其它支持支付的方法来付费。交易处理组件的显著特征包括：(a)维持交易处理系统所用的商业规则以基于用户类型和内容类型来确定费用的能力；(b)维持交易处理系统处理费用结算时所用的一种或多种支付方法的商业规则的能力；(c)维持用户账户和支付结算条件的商业规则的能力的能力，诸如交易处理系统在确定用户账户特权和内容状态时所用的像逾期债款和缺乏信用这样的用户账户和支付结算条件；以及(d)针对支持实时结算的支付方法来实时地处理费用支付的能力。
现在参照图2C，内容筛选系统(41)包括：文本筛选应用程序60，它搜索令人反感的单词或词组；图像筛选应用程序61，它搜索令人反感的图形图像；视频筛选应用程序62，它在视频片段中搜索令人反感的图像或音频单词或词组；以及音频筛选应用程序63，它在音频片段中搜索令人反感的单词或词组。筛选分类广告内容和电子公告板内容两者都可以使用内容筛选系统。然后，把经内容筛选系统筛选过的内容转移到上述分类广告数据库51或电子公告板内容数据库57。本系统也具有用于分类广告的编辑和顾客服务功能的组件64以及相似地适用于电子公告板内容的组件65。这些可以分别包括电子邮件功能，用来发送输入的确认、拒绝张贴的原因、改正建议、进一步的处理、以及向使用本系统的顾客张贴内容。
内容筛选系统的显著特征包括：(a)维持文本筛选时用的、令人反感的或非法的单词或词组库的能力筛选；(b)使用文本库执行用户内容文本的自动分析作为输入和警告系统的能力，以管理使用令人反感的或非法的内容以及使用未知的和可疑的单词或词组的人员；(c)维持图像筛选时用的、令人反感的或非法的图像单元库的能力，筛选；(d)用图像单元库对照用户内容图像执行自动图像识别分析作为输入和警告系统的能力，以管理使用令人反感的或非法的内容的人员；(e)维持在视频筛选时用的、令人反感的或非法的图像单元的库的能力筛选；(f)用图像单元库对照用户内容视频执行自动图像识别分析作为输入和警告系统的能力，以管理使用令人反感的或非法的内容的人员；(g)维持音频筛选时用的、令人反感的或非法的音频单元库的能力筛选；(h)用音频单元库对照用户内容音频执行自动音频识别分析作为输入和警告系统的能力，以管理使用令人反感的或非法的内容的人员；以及(i)将筛选过的内容保存到持久存储器或存储装置中以便随后处理的能力。筛选在提交和/或创建顾客生成的内容时用内容管理系统40自动执行内容筛选，或者可作为用户创建内容之后的一个过程来执行。
参照图2D，内容馈入系统42和内容转换系统43提供来自内容筛选系统的用户内容转移以及转换到与VOD内容传递系统44相兼容的视频内容格式。内容馈入系统42具有内容选择/日期过滤应用程序，该应用程序选择上传到系统的更新过的顾客生成内容，该内容处于为张贴并显示作为分类广告或电子公告板的内容而签订的合约期内。把有效日期范围内的内容转移到有效分类广告数据库71A或有效电子公告板数据库71B。
内容转换系统接收符合工业标准格式或在基于网页的输入系统上以可见格式(HTML)创建的顾客生成内容，并将该内容转换成与VOD内容传递系统相兼容的格式并用于显示在观看者的电视机上。内容转换系统43具有：图像转换应用程序72，它将顾客上传的图像文件(符合工业标准格式，比如JPEG，GIF，TIFF，BMP，PDF，PPT等)转换成VOD内容格式；视频转换应用程序73，它将顾客上传的视频文件转换成VOD内容格式；以及音频转换应用程序74，它将顾客上传的音频文件转换成VOD内容格式。把被转换成VOD内容格式的内容存储到有效的转换后的分类广告数据库75A或有效的转换后的电子公告板数据库75B。如果本系统要求任何展示格式化、日期标记、模板设计、或其它系统编辑，则该内容经过另一种生成式推动功能76A、76B，并被存储到生成式分类广告数据库77A或生成式电子公告板数据库77B。
内容馈入系统的显著特征包括：(a)选择用户内容以通过对用户内容中所包含的日期和时间信息等适当的参数进行测试从而将该用户内容提交到内容转换系统的能力；(b)对用户内容单元适当地打包的能力，以便通过应用程序接口或其它接口有效地将这些内容转移到内容转换系统；(c)创建、维护并执行一个进度表的能力，该进度表用于内容馈入系统将在何时自动地把顾客生成的内容自动转移到内容转换系统；以及(d)在存在或不存在进度表的情况下手动执行内容馈入系统的各功能的能力。内容馈入系统可以将内容打包并将内容分配到单个或多个内容转换系统。
内容转换系统的选择特征包括：(a)接收由内容馈入系统通过应用程序接口或其它接口传递过来的内容数据包的能力；(b)将顾客生成内容单元处理成与交互式电视系统相兼容的数据、文本、图形、视频和音频单元和维持用户在基于网页的内容管理系统上创建的内容展示的能力；(c)将重新格式化的内容保存到持久存储器或存储装置中，以便随后由交互式电视系统发布或使用的能力；以及(d)把顾客生成的内容可以用于发布和使用通知交互式电视系统的能力。可以添加内容转换系统作为VOD内容传递系统的一个组件系统，或者可以实现它作为通过应用程序接口或其它接口连接到VOD内容传递系统的、完全独立的系统。当作为与VOD内容传递系统分离而实现的系统时，通过(a)将多种格式化要求包括到内容转换系统的单个实例中或(b)创建多个内容转换系统(两种情况都支持特定交互式电视系统的格式化要求)，便有可能支持多种不同的交互式电视系统。无论哪种实现方式，都允许在具有不同格式化要求的多种不同的交互式电视系统上发布和显示通过使用基于网页的内容管理系统创建和维护的顾客生成内容的单个实例。
一般通过使用连接到数字电缆电视系统的数字机顶盒(它能够支持机顶盒和电缆头端之间的实时双向数据转移)，上述VOD内容传递系统44便将筛选过的、转换后的、适当格式化的顾客生成内容发布到观看者的电视机上。VOD内容传递系统的显著特征包括：(a)接收来自内容转换系统的适当格式化的内容的能力；(b)通过数字电缆电视系统发布上述内容并将该内容作为交互式电视展示而显示在电视机上的能力；(c)接收由红外遥控设备、键盘或其它设备所产生的用户命令的能力；(d)通过显示合适的内容或执行所期望的功能来响应于用户命令的能力；以及(e)产生并收集关于用户会话的数据和关于交互式电视系统上的顾客生成内容的观看数据以及使该数据能够被跟踪系统访问到的能力。像参照图1A已描述过的那样，VOD内容传递系统可以使用模板化的VOD内容传递，从而能够使用下查式导航方法，其中观看者可以通过分类广告分层类别可视化地巡航到特定的标题或内容。
用于分类广告应用的VOD内容传递系统也可以使用跟踪系统15，用于收集并合并由交互式电视系统所产生的观看数据，还用于产生关于该观看数据的报告。例如，跟踪系统可以跟踪用户请求观看给定周期内接收到的分类广告的次数，并相应地计算费用。跟踪系统可以使该信息被内容管理系统的用户获得，并被系统管理人员获得，系统管理人员对交互式电视服务和相关内容进行一般性分析。跟踪系统的显著特征包括：(a)访问并处理由分类广告应用程序所产生的数据的能力；(b)靠所期望的参数形成观看数据的小结的能力；(c)将数据、小结和报告保存到持久存储器或存储装置中以便随后修改或访问的能力；(d)使数据、小结和报告可以被基于网页的内容管理系统的用户访问，从而将由任何特定用户可访问的数据限制为该用户账户在内容管理系统上所创建的内容相关的数据的能力；以及(e)使系统管理人员访问到数据、小结和报告的能力。

(a)维护模板和对应于视频内容标题的视频内容的数据库，以便响应于观看者对特定视频内容标题的请求而生成模板化的VOD内容，其中所述模板分级排序以便展示按分级排序分类的视频内容标题，其中用于显示分级排序级别较高的视频内容标题的模板包括到用于分级排序级别较低的视频内容标题显示的一个或多个其他模板的链接，
(b)响应于观看者对分级排序级别较高的选定视频内容标题的请求，传递在观看者电视机上显示的模板化的VOD内容，其中包括到对应于分级排序级别较低的视频内容标题的视频内容的一个或多个链接，以及
(c)响应于用户对选择到对应于分级排序级别较低的视频内容标题的视频内容的链接的请求，传递与所选的分级排序级别较低的视频内容标题相对应的模板化VOD内容以便显示在观看者的电视机上，由此使观看者能够在不同级别的分级排序对模板化VOD内容的电视显示使用下查式导航。

(d)内容转换系统(43)，用于自动地将所述内容馈入系统所提供的已转移的分类广告内容转换成与所述VOD内容传递系统相兼容的视频数据格式，还用于根据所述元数据所指定的以分级排序分类的标题和话题范围而自动地给视频服务器数据库中已转换的分类广告内容编索引；以及
(e)VOD应用程序服务器，它可操作地连接在所述内容转换系统(43)和观看者电视设备，用于传递从要被显示在观看者电视设备上的分类广告内容的元数据中产生的以分级排序分类的分类广告标题和话题范围列表数据，以使他们能够根据所述分级排序的分类搜索感兴趣的分类广告，并且响应于通过电视设备发送到所述头端部、用于请求感兴趣的特定分类广告的观看者请求信号，从视频服务器数据库中检索所请求的分类广告并将它发送到观看者电视设备上进行显示。
9.如权利要求8所述的系统，其特征在于，所述内容筛选系统被配置成在所述顾客生成的输入中检测文本文件中令人反感的文本单词，检测音频文件中令人反感的音频单词，并且在光学上识别图形或视频文件中令人反感的图像。

(a)使单独的用户能够从他们的远程计算机中通过联网的网络将符合工业标准文件格式的分类广告内容上传到基于网页的内容管理系统(40)，所述被上传的分类广告内容包括相关联的元数据，用于通过以分级排序分类的标题和话题范围来识别所述广告内容；
(b)自动地筛选所述分类广告内容中任何令人反感的内容；
(c)自动地将筛选过的分类广告内容转移到数据库以便转换成视频数据格式；
(d)将所转移的分类广告内容从顾客生成输入的文件格式自动地转换成与VOD内容传递系统相兼容的视频数据格式，并且根据所述元数据中所指定的以所述分级排序分类的标题和话题范围自动地给VOD内容数据库中已转换的分类广告内容编索引；以及

14.如权利要求13所述的方法，还包括：
(a)维护模板和分类广告的数据库，以便响应于观看者的请求而产生模板化的VOD内容，其中所述模板分级排序，以便展示按分级排序分类的不同选定类型的分类广告显示，其中用于层次级别较高的分类广告显示的模板包括到用于层次级别较低的分类广告显示的一个或多个模板的链接，
(b)响应于观看者对层次级别较高的选定分类广告类别的请求，传递相应的模板以便在观看者电视设备上提供模板化的VOD内容显示，其中包括到层次级别较低的分类广告的一个或多个链接，并且当观看者请求选择了模板化VOD内容中所显示的、到层次级别较低的分类广告的链接时，传递相应的分类广告以便显示在观看者电视设备上，由此使用户能够通过电视机上的分类广告显示使用下查式导航。
15.一种用于团体、组织、个人和其他实体的将顾客生成信息内容上传到在线网络用于在电视机上显示的方法，包括：
(a)使个人用户以工业标准文档的格式在从远程计算机到所述在线网络上的内容管理系统的在线网络连接上将信息内容上传，所述上传的信息内容包括相关联的元数据，该元数据由以分级排序分类的标题和话题数据标识；
(b)自动为所述内容中不许可的文本、音频、视频和/或图像放映所述信息内容；
(c)将所述放映的信息内容自动转移到数据库用于转换为视频数据格式；
(d)将所述转移的信息内容自动从顾客生成输入的文档格式转换为与VOD内容传递系统兼容的视频数据格式，且根据所述元数据所指定的以分级排序分类的标题和话题范围而自动地给VOD内容数据库中的所述已转换的信息内容编索引；以及
(e)传递从要被显示在观看者电视设备上的信息内容的元数据中产生的以分级排序分类的信息内容标题和话题范围列表数据，以使他们能够根据所述分级排序的分类搜索感兴趣的信息内容，并且响应于请求根据所述分级排序分类的特定信息的观看者请求信号，将所述请求的信息内容发送到所述观看者电视设备上进行显示。
16.如权利要求15所述的方法，还包括：
(a)响应于观看者的请求，维护模板和用于生成模板化VOD内容的信息内容的数据库，其中所述模板分级排序以便展示按分级排序分类的不同选择类型的信息内容显示，其中用于分级级别较高的信息内容显示的模板包括到一个或多个用于分级级别较低的信息内容显示的其他模板的链接，
(b)响应于观看者对分级级别较高的选定信息内容的请求，传递在观看者电视机上的模板化的VOD内容显示，其中包括到分级级别较低的其他信息内容一个或多个链接，并且对选择在模板化VOD内容中显示分级级别较低的信息内容的链接的观看者请求，在观看者的电视机上传递对应的信息内容显示，由此使观看者能够对电视机上的信息内容显示使用下查式导航。
