Abstract

A biodegradable, clumpable cat litter (10) made from corncob and biomass components.
The animal litter (10) is a mixture of heavy density particles (12) and light density particles (14). The heavy density particles (12) are formed of cornmcob grit (13) and the light density particles (14) are formed of sized pellets (15) of light weight corncob components.
Heavy density and light density particles (12, 14) are coated with mineral oil to which is adhered guar gum. The heavy density particles (12) compose 30 % - 70 % of the mixture and the remainder is composed of light density particles (14).
