Abstract

Water-soluble or water-dispersible and curable polyester resins are suitable as binders in various applications. The resins are reaction products of polyterephthalate, sulfoisophthalates, polyols, polyacids, end acids and crosslinker agents. Waste terephthalates can be utilized.
The prefered polyol is pentaerythritol. The resins can also be used as dye levelling agents when dyeing synthetic fibers.
