Abstract

A process for converting an oxygenate feed to light olefins using a microporous zeolite catalyst such as ECR-1, mazmorites, and/or ECR-18 is provided. In a preferred embodiment, the process is conducted at 440 ° C to 460 ° C using a methanol:
water (approximately 1:4 molar ratio) feed.
