Abstract of the Disclosure An adapter (70) for supporting a taper candle and chimney glass on a candle ring (16) in a centerpiece arrangement includes a plate (72), a candle holder (76), end clips (74) for snap-releasable engagement with the inner ring of the candle ring, and a chimney a glass holder (80).
The candle ring (16) preferably includes radial extensions or runners (90) in order to form a swag centerpiece.

Claims (22)
1. An adapter for use with a candle ring, comprising:
a generally flat plate spanning the candle ring;
a generally cylindrical candle holder mounted in symmetrical position on said plate;
said candle holder including opposite pairs of internal gussets therein for engaging a taper candle at its lower end;
a chimney-glass holder mounted on said plate in surrounding relationship with said candle holder;
a pair of fixed, spaced-apart clips associated with said plate for snap-releasable engagement with the candle ring to secure the adapter thereto; and said plate, candle holder and internal gussets, chimney glass holder, and clips being constructed of integral molded plastic.
a generally flat plate spanning the candle ring;
a generally cylindrical candle holder mounted in symmetrical position on said plate;
said candle holder including opposite pairs of internal gussets therein for engaging a taper candle at its lower end;
a chimney-glass holder mounted on said plate in surrounding relationship with said candle holder;
a pair of fixed, spaced-apart clips associated with said plate for snap-releasable engagement with the candle ring to secure the adapter thereto; and said plate, candle holder and internal gussets, chimney glass holder, and clips being constructed of integral molded plastic.
2. The adapter of claim 1, wherein said plate is substantially flat and circular, and extends over the candle ring.
3 . The adapter according to claim 2, wherein said plate is peripherally notched for clearance with any upwardly projecting prongs on the candle ring.
4. The adapter of claim 1, wherein the clip at each end of said plate includes a central notch therein for receipt by a radial portion of the candle ring.
5. The adapter of claim 1, wherein said chimney-glass holder comprises a plurality of arouate tangs in circumferentially spaced-apart arrangement.
6. An adapter for use with a candle ring, comprising:
a generally circular plate;
one single generally cylindrical candle holder mounted in symmetrical position on said plate;
clips at opposite ends of said plate for engagement with the candle ring to secure the adaptor thereon;
the clip at each end of said plate including a central notch therein for receipt by a radial portion of the candle ring; and a chimney-glass holder mounted on said plate in generally concentric surrounding relationship with said candle holder.

clips at opposite ends of said plate for engagement with the candle ring to secure the adaptor thereon;

7. The adapter of claim 6, wherein said candle holder includes opposite pairs of wedge-shaped internal gussets therein for engaging the taper candle at its lower end.
8. The adapter according to claim 6, wherein said plate is peripherally notched for clearance with any upwardly projecting prongs on the candle ring.
9. The adapter according to claim 6, wherein said plate is peripherally notched for clearance with any upwardly projecting prongs on the candle ring.
10. In a candle ring of the type including a plurality of tiered concentric ring members interconnected by spokes, the improvement comprising:
a pair of runners extending radially outward from opposite sides of the one of the ring members; and a plurality of prongs on each of said runners for mounting decoration thereon in order to form a swag centerpiece.

11. The candle ring of claim 10, wherein said ring members, spokes, runners and prongs are integrally moldeed from plastic.
12. The candle ring according to claim 11, further including:
a reinforcing wire molded within each of said runners.

13. The candle ring of claim 10, wherein said prongs are arranged in a plurality of groups along each of said runners, each group including one outwardly projecting prong and a pair of laterally projecting prongs, all of which prongs are angled away from the candle ring.
14. A centerpiece arrangement, comprising:
a candle ring said candle ring including inner and outer tiered, concentric ring members interconnected by spokes;
the inner ring member if said candle ring being dimensioned to receive a pillar candle therethrough;
means for selectively attaching decorations to said candle ring;
at least one runner extending radially outward from the outer ring member of said candle ring;
means for selectively attaching decorations to said runner; and means for releasably mounting a taper candle on the inner ring member of said candle ring.

the inner ring member if said candle ring being dimensioned to receive a pillar candle therethrough;
means for selectively attaching decorations to said candle ring;
at least one runner extending radially outward from the outer ring member of said candle ring;
means for selectively attaching decorations to said runner; and means for releasably mounting a taper candle on the inner ring member of said candle ring.
15. The centerpiece arrangement of claim 14, wherein said candle ring members, spokes and runner are integrally molded from plastic.
16. The centerpiece arrangement according to claim 15, further including a reinforcing wire molded within at least said runner.
17. The centerpiece arrangement of claim 14, wherein said means for selectively attaching decorations to said candle ring comprises groups of outwardly projecting prongs about the inner and outer ring members.
18. The centerpiece arrangement of claim 14, wherein said means for selectively attaching decorations to said runner comprises groups of outwardly projecting prongs provided along side runner.
19. The centerpiece arrangement of claim 14, wherein said means for releasably mounting a candle on said candle ring comprises:
a generally flat plate spanning the inner ring member of said candle ring;
at least one generally cylindrical candle holder mounted in symmetrical position on said plate: and a pair of fixed, spaced-apart clips associated with said plate for snap-releasable engagement with said candle ring said plate, candle holder, and clips being integrally molded from plastic.

a chimney-glass holder mounted on said plate in generally concentric surrounding relationship with said candle holder.
