Please provide a way to filter pay sites. I'm not going to sign up based on 1 article, in fact it drives me the other way and makes me not even consider anything from the pay site.

Clicking on a news item only to find you can not read it due to subscription requirements is really annoying. This form of advertising should be banned from the gadget.

I like the Google News display of articles better than the Google Reader gadget because it shows the story Lede. Google Reader is better at collecting/filtering topics. So I'd love to see a Google News tab that displays my Reader topics.

Why do you carry news sections which consistently hide the headliner somewhere in the blog, and are primarily an attempt to subscribe the reader ( the los angeles times), or demand membership to read the article ( The New York Times and others).

Why are headlines displayed on the gadget outdated? You may ask, why does he mean by outdated. Let me say that the "news" displayed concerns such topics as hurricane Isaac, the republican convention in Tampa and baseball scores as we head into the playoffs. This gadget is taking on the newsworthiness and accuracy I would expect from FOX.

Please take Fox News off the news feed . . . it is embarrassing and offensive that Google considers the Republican spin machine a legitimate news source. I understand that lots of news agencies are biased, but Fox News takes non-credible reports, wraps them up nicely, and sells them to the public as unquestioned truth. TAKE IT OFF.
