As Janet mentioned you can simply add your own iGoogle feed from any rss webpage, go to the ABC's main rss page : http://www.abc.net.au/news/feeds/rss/ -then click on the link you want use, copy the url at the top in your browser, then go to Googles Gadgets page: http://www.google.com/ig/directory?type=gadgets -click on the link down the left column "Add feed or gadget" and paste in the url and save.

The ABC widgets builder is still up: http://www.abc.net.au/services/widgets/premade.htm You also have the option to make your own individual style & colour. Foreign newspapers are usually trash sellers - GIGO. The ABC is fully independent from business bias and the only news source that I consider 'newsworthy'.....

Unfortunately, the link posted by jehen to the ABC news feeds no longer works. ABC seem to wish to discourage people from reading their content. More up to date and more detailed news on Australian matters is available from The Guardian and from the BBC. I guess I'll just use them instead.

It would appear that ABC have created a new set of Widgets that you can add to your igoogle homepage or desktop. The link is here. http://www.abc.net.au/services/widgets/premade.htm The FAQ provides the instructions on how to add ABC news and other items to your homepage, website, desktop etc or the great help below will also let you get the great ABC content as well.

This step-by-step process is for those whose home page has a theme and doesn't have an "Add Stuff" link.... 1. Go to http://www.abc.net.au/news/feeds/rss 2. Displayed is a list of feeds, eg Just In, Top Stories, World, etc. Hover the cursor over the feed you want to add, right-click and select "Copy Link Address" 3. Go to your iGoogle home page and click on "Add Gadgets" (located under the search box) 4. Click on "Add Feed or Gadget" (located on the left side of the page) 5. Where it says "Type or paste the URL below" right-click and select paste. The feed address you copied from the ABC website will be copied here. 6. Click on "Add", then go back to your iGoogle homepage to see your beloved newsfeed is back! Worked for me!

So irritating! Can't understand why the ABC would want to make this change - always had it on my Google page, now I've got to faff around to try and find how to get it there by some complicated means - such a waste of time....grrrrrh Auntie!

A note saying how to add back to iGoogle: 1. Go to "add stuff" at the top of your iGoogle page 2. Click on "add feed or gadget" on the left hand side 3. Type in the web address (URL) for the feeds that you want. There is a list of ABC feeds available here: http://www.abc.net.au/news/feeds/rss/ So for example, if you want the "just in" feed, you click on "just in" and copy the resulting web address into the igoogle "add feed or gadget box".
