I had a well maintained iGoogle page with carefully organized lists of favorites, etc. but now my iGoogle home page has been wiped out and I'm starting over as if I never had one. What happened?
"Loading..." yet nothing showingManny Agrinya - Nov 20, 2009 - Report this comment
Is the Google Bookmark module broken? I'm having the same issue as Karol below. It just says "Loading..." but nothing shows up.
This new look of igoogle is hmm *strange*. E.g. I can not by single click show/hide gadget (I need to go to gadget menu and find minimize/expand). Also I have my tabs on the left side on the page, why? The position on the top of the page was fine (at least more space for gadget bottom..). Why???
This gadget does not embed. I was trying to include it on a lightweight mobile page for my phone, and it is utter fail. It says "Your bookmarks will appear here once you're signed in" even though I AM SIGNED IN!!! Please fix.
stupid question - clumsy GUIJack Armstrong - Nov 7, 2009 - Report this comment
Figured it out -- the user interface is awkward and things mislabeled, but over-riding an existing label seems to create a new one. Sheeeesh!!
new labels for bookmark widgetJack Armstrong - Nov 7, 2009 - Report this comment
OK - stupid question. I installed the Google Bookmarks widget some time ago, set up several labels, and have been using it extensively. Now, months later, I want to add a new label and can't for the life of me figure out how! All the 'edit' commands pertain to the contents of the existing labels. Help.
The method used to open a link in a new tab depends on which browser (and operating system) you are using at the time. Look at your browsers help for specifics. In general, ctrl-click (Windows) or cmd-click (OS X) often works. If you have a 3 button mouse, center clicking the link also often works. You can also often right-click (or ctrl-click on a Mac) the link to bring up a context menu and then select "Open Link in New Tab". -irrational john
i love this. makes my bookmarks at my fingertips. my only improvement as of now is being able to choose the order bookmarks are in (ie- by date added instead of alphabetical order, etc)
Any chance of making this be a scrolling window so it doesn't have to grow as long as my list of bookmarks? Or, perhaps, expandable/collapsible folders/trees for categorizing stuff? Or both?
