Google Bookmarks are great but I seem to have reached a limit and it does not show some of the links I have added. When I try to add them again, it indicates that link is already added but it does not show.
Makes iGoogle not load on myTouch phone - michael versak - Feb 7, 2010 - Report this comment
I have been having problems getting to iGoogle from my phone (T-Mobile myTouch) and after moving a bunch of them around, I found that this one makes the page break on the phone.
This is the most useful iGoogle gadget so far! I have one on every iGoogle tab, with a different label showing in each one. I can easily find any of my hundreds of bookmarks, whereever I am - on any computer!
We need sub-labels guys. When are we giong to get them?
Can't back this up withou installing toolbar!!!???First Last - Feb 6, 2010 - Report this comment
It would take me forever to hand copy all my links and categories for use in another iGoogle page. I don't want no stinking toolbar gringo! Does anyone know of an alternative?
I've been having the same problem (bookmarks not loading) since mid- to late-2009. I have about a thousand bookmarks and I'm wondering if it started happening when I bookmarked 'too many' links. ??? Anyway, this workaround has been working for me: As the Bookmark Gadget is reporting 'Loading...', I simply push my 'Refresh' Button. Everything loads up then. Still annoying but better than the gyrations I was using earlier to get the bookmarks to appear. Hope this helps.

The library where I work uses IE 6 & 7 for workstations and public terminals, but gadget rarely finishes loading on these any longer since mid to late '09. I now also find it balky on the latest versions of FireFox and IE 8 at home. Seems to work consistently on Chrome. The cynic in me begins to wonder if this is intentional? A bother since this was useful for computers that do not have the toolbar installed. Have tried the save settings workaround and that doesn't work. Just plain inconsistent.
Google bookmarks used to open in a nice popup window that automatically re-sized. Lately it has been using a fullscreen window that has to be maximized to see the "Add Bookmark" button. This behavior is annoying. why is this hapening?

I use Google Bookmarks as a seperate list of favorites. It seems to work just fine and I like the label feature.
Seems to Fix the Non-Loading on iGoogle...Rita B - Jan 13, 2010 - Report this comment
Don't know if anyone is having the same problem I was... in that when you load your iGoogle page, the bookmark gadget doesn't load. Oddly enough, it seems I found a way to fix it (at least for now). Click the gadget header for bookmarks, a page will load with your bookmarks. You can now close that page (if it loads in another window), now go back to your iGoogle and "Refresh" or "F5" on the keyboard. Seems after that, the gadget loads. Weird enough.
I switched to this gadget because the basic "Bookmarks" one blew up. I don't use the gadget to manage the bookmarks. Instead, I use the Bookmarks page. I only wish that I could turn off the header links and filter so that only the links are visible. TO "HACKED" COMMENTERS: Have you checked google.com/bookmarks? That is where the data is pulled from. Mine is only showing ones I entered.
Corporate BookmarksRespectfully Submitted - Jan 11, 2010 - Report this comment
I cannot add corporate bookmarks using the gadget. Adding in from the google.com/bookmarks webpage works, but the gadget will not display the bookmark. e.g. http://storage/scripts/DevTrack.dll
The gadget got hacked! Random bookmarks showing up.

I, too am experiencing the problem of the gadget adding bookmarks for sites (my former employer's site, actually) that I haven't visited in a LONG time. PLEASE FIX IT, Google!!
Adding bookmarks by itself - Chris Howell - Jan 9, 2010 - Report this comment
Yep, I'm experiencing the same as Stefan Sundin, this gadget is adding bookmarks by itself, from sites that I visited literally over a year ago! Have been very happy with this Gadget, it's only recently started happening; Google, PLEASE fix this, it's beginning to get annoying.
Why does it add bookmarks by itself?Stefan Sundin - Jan 9, 2010 - Report this comment
I remember that I have visited the sites it adds, but that was ages ago! What is going on???
I kind of think this is silly, but when this gadget loads for me, it adds it's own bookmarks. I have no idea what could be causing this - mostly because these are pages that I have never been to before, and some don't even work, or are in different languages. The thing that really weirds me out, is that they are all pages pertaining to "DJ Shadow" (an electronic music artist)... Forums in french, fan made pages, expired [[[[sub-URLs]]]] for official pages, all places I've definitely never been to before. The weirdest part to me is that I am a big fan of this artist, and am heavily influenced as a music producer myself by his work. However, I really have never been to these sites and have no idea if this is coincidence, or some accounts getting 'crossed', or bugs, or what. Is anyone else having similar issues?
I was trying to organzie my bookmarks by adding labes. Everything seemed to work fine then all of a sudden it appeared that my book marks disappeared. I would select a label and no book marks appear. Then I would select "All" and my bookmarks appear. I went to "Edit" to re-label my bookmarks and they all have the correct labels. VERY FRUSTRATING!!!
I am having issues with the gadget loading about 75-80% of the time. I have even tried the save settings trick mentioned by others here, but that does not always work (only once or twice really). This gadget works almost 100% in Firefox, based on my experience.
I have a problem with this gadgetjul dav - Dec 29, 2009 - Report this comment
I don't know what to do. Every time I bookmark a page it shows in the gadget twice and when I click on it it shows something different from what it said on the bookmark.so every bokkmark I have somehow get double on the gadget.
How accurate are the DATES for the bookmarks? Anyone noticing any discrepancies? Added a few but they appear to list as being added the DAY AFTER I recall adding them. It would be nice if the hour and minute were included so this could be doublechecked a bit easier. I am using bookmarks for "joint research" with someone else and it is somewhat valuable to know exactly when the bookmarks were added.
It says it's loading, but that's just a lie. Guess I'm going to have to dump all my Google stock if this doesn't get fixed come Monday. Get on it boys and girls.
Not loading. Now using the other, more basic, Google Bookmark gadget by Google. Just add the label "homepage" to any already existing bookmark for the simpler gadget to display. Pity, I liked this Gadget until they improved it and it stopped loading.

IGoogle Bookmarks wont load. This has been a problem since igoogle update. If i edit settings and save, then sometimes the bookmarks appear. anybody who knows a workaround??
I found if I "edit settings", simply by clicking on EDIT SETTINGS in the right-hand upper corner and then click on SAVE without changing the settings. It loads. A simple fix, but still rather annoying to have to do it at all. :-/
