Only problem I have is that every how and again it will be disabled with a message that says the gadget does not support the "always use https" option, when I have "don't always use https" chosen in my Gmail settings.
I love it, the size, layout, everything is amazing... can someone make a hotmail app with the same layout, and everything? all the ones i've tried are to big, messier, and much slower to load... But that's prob due to hotmail, and not the app. thank you for a great app, or gadget, or whatever...

like it was, it is very poor to change things because you think it is better, how do you know people will like your new look. at least you should have an option to display the old or new look. I am disappointed

Sorry but I dont remember any notification for this change. I absolutely hate this version especially the stupid column on the left which hardly anyone will use.WHERE HAVE MY SENT MAILS AND SPAM HEADINGS GONE?? Please Restore Original ASAP!!!
The screen shot for the gadget on this page has the older and easier to use "Hide Preview" link in the gadget. This functionality is no longer in the gadget, but I was it still was. It's much more awkward now to minimize and expand the gadget. Could a single-click hide/unhide option be restored? Please keep the unread count visible when the preview is hidden. Thanks.
I think this gadget could use a "Select All" Checkbox like in the regular GMail interface. Being able to select all my new messages and then archiving them all at once would be much more efficient.
I used to be able to see how much unread mail I have. Please put it back so I don't have to open mail unless I have unread messages. Thanks. (See how easy it is to be polite, Earl Gillis?)
I want to be able to see the list of e-mails I have on my home page. FIX IT!
I want my iGoogle page back!!! - Theresa Michiel - Nov 20, 2009 - Report this comment
What happened to my Gmail preview??? Until yesterday it looked just like the screen capture shown at the top of this page. [Odd that Google still shows the original format as an example] I don't want others to read my emails just because I chose to have Gmail on my home page. I managed to get rid of the Chat side bar which also showed up at the same time, but had to add another app to do that. Why force users to fix something that was working in the first place. If I want to read my email I am quite capable of clicking the Inbox link. I am also not interested in the Chat column that I just got rid of. From comments I have read over the past 24 hours, the majority of users were quite happy with the setup before it was changed. Listen to your customers. If if isn't broken, DON'T fix it.
I hide the previews, because I don't want those around me reading my emails. However the gadget won't even show me how many emails are in the box anymore. :o(
That none of the non-google-developed apps work in my iGoogle. Sorry, this gadget uses the inlining feature, which is no longer supported." or blank boxes, etc..
I agree with the others here, I want the old gmail tool back, this new one is annoying and I'm considering removing it. The old version is much better.
I hate the new look of both igoogle and gmail. I totally agree with the others ! why should you change some thing that works just fine !?
PLEASE bring back the old version !!!Nacim MESBAH - Nov 19, 2009 - Report this comment
I really really really don't like (to the point of hating it) the new updated version of gmail gadget. The igoogle page sucks too, big time !!! you really must take off the left side bar, no one use that stuff ! many many people have the same say. take it all back please !
And is slower also. I do not like new look, Please change it back. I like this: - hide emails - hide/show gadget with one click - *make things optional and configurable* I hate this: - minimize/expand gadgets with two click (and check to do not click on remove gadget!) - tabs on screen (it takes a lot of space on the left side) - chat (I do not want to chat on igoogle page) - slow loading/refreshing
